Learn animal sounds with roaring lions, cackling hyenas, and quacking ducks. Andrew Zuckerman's eye-catching pictures of fascinating animals from around the world will enthrall young readers and teach animal sounds celebrating nature in a book that bring this wildly successful photographer's work to a new audience that will surely find themselves immersed. Plus, this is a fixed-format version of the book, which looks nearly identical to the print version.
Simplicity really works for this one. Only animals that really makes sounds (no crunch or glub here) and just a photo and the noise. Lisa didn't know all the animals, I appreciated the variety. Farm animals are reliable with the noises but they do get monotonous.
My one-year-old thought this book was great. It has dynamic illustrations and features animals beyond the typical "noise makers" found in children's books. I had a lot of fun reading this with my daughter, who gamely repeated every single featured sound. She picked this out at bedtime several nights in a row.
Lively illustrations accompany the sounds made by several different creatures in this engaging board book. I dare you to read it to someone you love without making those sounds. This is a great one for sharing.
