8 books34 followersഗുരുവായൂരിനടുത്ത് കോട്ടപ്പടിയില് കഴുകമ്പള്ളി കുഞ്ചുണ്ണി നമ്പിടിയുടെയും മുണ്ടനാട്ട് നങ്ങയ്യ മാണ്ടലിന്റെയും മകളായി 1929ല് ജനനം. 1949ല് മഹാരാജാസ് (എറണാകുളം) കോളേജില്നിന്ന് ബി.എ. പാസ്സായി. '49 മുതല് െ്രെപവറ്റ് കോളേജ് അധ്യാപിക. '51ല് മദ്രാസ് യൂണിവേഴ്സിറ്റിയില്നിന്ന് െ്രെപവറ്റായി പഠിച്ച് എം.എ. ബിരുദമെടുത്തു. '52ല് പാലക്കാട് ഗവ. വിക്ടോറിയാ കോളേജില് അധ്യാപികയായി. 1964 മുതല് മഹാരാജാസില് 18 കൊല്ലം. 1983ല് തലശ്ശേരി ബ്രണ്ണന് കോളേജില്നിന്ന് പ്രിന്സിപ്പലായി വിരമിച്ചു. 1972ല് പി.എച്ച്.ഡി. During her long literary career, she won several awards including Kendra Sahithya Academy Award and Kerala Sahithya Academy Award. She is a contemporary of such noted critics in Malayalam including K. M. George, S. Guptan Nair, N. Krishna Pillai, P. K. Balakrishnan, and Sukumar Azhikode.Leelavathy is a recipient of Padma Shri Award.
