The Yoga of Knowledge

Rate this book
Western Civilization and culture have developed the analytical power of the mind to the extent that man can now dissect his universe and re-assemble it in various miraculous ways. In spite of this tremendous analytical power, man still feels separate and isolated from the inner secrets of the universe. We have knowledge of countless facts, but we do not have KNOWLEDGE.

These talks were given during 1973 by Sri M P Pandit at Auroville, the city of the future in South India. They work systematically, chapter by chapter, through the section of Sri Aurobindo's The Synthesis of Yoga on "the yoga of knowledge". Having personally attended these talks, i can vouch for the deep insights and aid they provided in understanding and applying Sri Aurobindo's vision.

An interesting discussion with input from Sri Aurobindo and reflections on the Mother in regards to jnana yoga, the yoga of knowledge. Some previous knowledge of these ideas would be useful to appreciation of the concepts and quotations discussed.

This book is about "Yoga of Knowledge" part of Synthesis of Yoga by Sri Aurobindo and it's written in a much more digestible form for an unprepared mind. I got a much better understanding of Integral Yoga from it and how it compares to traditional Kundalini Yoga.
