Veil of Power: A Novel of Betrayal, Revenge and a Woman’s Rise From Ruin

Elena Viera had it all — a thriving career, prestige, and a marriage that looked perfect from the outside. But beneath the surface lay secrets that would shatter everything.

Betrayed by her husband. Humiliated by his mistress. Stripped of her dignity and power.

But Elena doesn’t break. She builds.
And what she builds in the shadows will change everything.

As lies unravel and the truth claws its way to the surface, Elena plays a dangerous game of strategy, revenge, and emotional survival — with powerful allies, quiet protectors, and devastating consequences.

Veil of Power is a heart-wrenching, slow-burn domestic drama of power, betrayal, and a woman’s fierce comeback. If you love high-stakes emotional warfare, complex relationships, and heroines who rise from ruin, this gripping first novel in the Rise and Ruin series is for you.

Betrayal, again…

This is another betrayal/cheating story, where the FMC completely outsmarts the cheating husband. She suffers through some nasty moments when the mistress flat out lies to the press, but she has the receipts that conquer the nasty OW.

There’s no real reason that this husband started to cheat, other than he had his head turned by the OW. He gives the age-old rationale that she’s cold so instead of actually talking it out, he cheats. It’s so cliche that it’s not even funny.

Anyway, this is not a bad one. There were definitely edge of the seat moments because that OW was trying so hard to erase her. It was a fun read in a lot of ways!

KU read and highly recommended. I liked this one…

Loved it! Wasn't sure I would, thinking it would be some kind of feminist take over from a sniveling beta man. It was about a man who wanted to be more relevant and deceitfully, with the help of his mistress (who was super resentful and jealous of his wife) tried to remove his wife from the company they built, humiliate her and tried to make her irrelevant. She rose from the ashes and exposed it all. The only thing I would've liked was more build up in the beginning of all the things he did during their marriage that led to it all. It was implied, but still left a hole of how things transpired that led to that level of betrayal.

If You've Read One of these Books, You've Read Them All

Never before have a read so many books so much like each other, just wrapped differently. Tone, sentence structure, evolution of story, lot's more. I didn't even need to finish it to fill in the most relevant details. I doubt a best selling author in an attempt to mimic his/her own work could mimic as closely as these books. It's weird. I feel resentful and suckered. But that could just be me.

WOW, WOW, WOW!

Words can't describe the characters emotions, their pain, their survival or strength through the betrayal of trust and love. This story is very powerful. Great read!
