Two months since the A-Virus hit. Since all but the last few survivors of the human race fell victim to the apocalypse.
Now, Will might just have the slimmest of chances at finding out why the A-Virus really happened. Why they are being kept in the Society against their will. Why all the guards and people of Project Beta survived, when the rest of the world did not.
Their plan is desperate, and their ally unlikely, but, together with Ellie, Will must break into the forbidden mansion at the heart of the society. Because, inside its walls, and in the mind of a single man, awaits the answers he has been so desperate to discover since the virus took everything from him.
There will be guards everywhere, and death will linger around every corner.
But with Chloe, Daniel and Chip counting on him, as well as the rest of the oppressed in the Society, he must make it out of there alive.
He must discover the truth.

The Truth, the 7th installment in the an virus series by Alex Williams, and is the most action packed installment to date. Alex, Chloe, Daniel, Chip and the other protagonists face more danger than ever before. Leo, Harker and others make n offer too good to be true. The writing is excellent, good characters, good dialogue, even if a significant portion of it is non-verbal, it still drips with emotion. The plot is excellent, with more going on than it seems at first. My only complaint is that it isn't long enough, but that's common to there short, serially released series. 4/5 stars. Recommended for fans of survival thrillers with the patience to wait for the next installment, or, if you've enjoyed the series so far, or are looking for something fast and fast paced to read! The 8th installment is set up nicely for more major conflict!
Some of the group meets one of the bigwigs and they find out he's an environmental extremist. Their plans fail. This is one of the guys responsible for killing most of the people in the world.
Things actually get worse and it's a question of just who is going to survive and who isn't or will they actually all end up dying. This is a really, really dark series and at the moment it's questionable whether any of the decent people will survive or not. Although it's a very dark series it's still is really good. As of my writing this review, unfortunately, the final book in the series is not yet available. Gads. I want to see how this all plays out.
I am pretty amazed with how much content was put into just 100 pages. I was nervous the entire time reading this, and had no idea what was coming next. The continuous build up and the evil twists were marvellous.
At the end of this book, is a offer (Link) for another book free from the author. it goes with this series, and it tells the story of Chip (the dog) from the final day, and how he survived till he met Chloe and Will. So far it's not been released on any forums, amazon etc for sell. It's not mentioned on goodreads either. "Chip's Story"
