Her addiction nearly killed her, and our second chance came with a price.

Bloodhound

When I found Vanna unconscious in that hospital bed—barely alive after her worst overdose yet—I made a promise that would change everything. No matter what it took, I wouldn't watch her destroy herself anymore.

I've seen the darkest corners of human suffering, but nothing prepared me for the moment she looked at me with clear eyes for the first time in years and whispered she didn't want to die.

Twelve weeks of rehab. One night of weakness between us. And now she's back with news that changes everything—a chance at the family I never thought we'd have.

She's fighting her demons with everything she's got. Making promises I want desperately to believe.

But Morgantown has a long memory, and her past isn't done with her yet.

When her former dealer shows up saying she owes him, that the debts can only be paid one way, it's not just her recovery at stake. It's our entire future.

Some men think broken women are easy prey. They've never met a man who'd burn the whole world down to keep his family safe.

I've spent years watching her slip through my fingers. This time, I'll destroy anyone who tries to drag her back into darkness—even if I have to become the monster they fear most.

An Amazing Heart Wrenching MC Book

Vanna and Bloodhound have known each other since they were kids and are meant to be together forever. As with most when adulthood hits it comes with some issues that can become overwhelming and you think you will never find your way back. Lucky for Vanna is that Bloodhound will be there supporting her no matter what. Not only is Bloodhound there but the Saints Outlaws MC, Morgantown, WV are there as well. This author killed it with the look she gave into what addition is like for not only the addict but for those who love them.

This was such an amazing book which was full of hope and being able to conquer the beast surrounded by those who love you. This author never disappoints.

Spoiler Alert

I’m glad Bloodhound and Vanna got their happily ever after but this is not my cup of tea. This was all about Vanna’s struggle to overcome drug addiction. This wasn’t a feel good story for me. I want romance, I want possession and passion. This was sad and depressing. I don’t feel that Vanna would have easily just got forgiveness from everybody after everything she put Bloodhound through. I never care for stories where the couple sleep with other people in between their problems. As the reader, I don’t forgive Vanna, so this one is not for me. Spoiler: After Vanna gets her life turned around, she’s kidnapped and raped… you read right…raped. The author let it happen, I’m done!

Bloodhound’s Burden is the second book in the Saint’s Outlaws MC Morgantown series and an action packed, emotionally fuelled story it is. Bloodhound is the Sergeant at Arms of the club, a huge bear of a man, no nonsense, very popular around the club if only he could sort his private life out he might have a chance to be happy. Savannah or Vanna as Bloodhound calls her, is his wife and she is a drug addict. Not a pop a pill or a party every now and then but a full on needle tracks, found overdosed and near death several times in drug dens, type of drug addict. Every time Bloodhound will swoop in and clean her up, try to talk her into therapy or rehab but she would refuse and disappear usually with money given or taken from Bloodhound or something of value she has stolen from them. She will and has done anything for her next hit! Bloodhound gets a call to say Vanna had overdosed again and she was in a very bad way, he raced as fast as he could to her and it didn’t look good at all, Bloodhound was scared, he thought he was really going to lose her this time. Whilst she was in a coma, Bloodhound refused to move from her side, concentrating only on Vanna, when she came out of her coma, there were many tears from both of them, as the days passed and many of Vanna’s physical injuries have started to heal, Bloodhound tells Vanna about a rehabilitation place, their program and their success but Vanna is immediately negative, but he continues to tell her how much he would support her, when she says what if it doesn’t work and I use again, he says we will work on that together, I love you Vanna, something shifted in Vanna and she realised she didn’t want to die, so she agreed to go to the program. As Vanna moves through the process of withdrawal and starts on therapy and lifestyle changes at her rehab facility, Bloodhound is a shell of a man, he can’t eat, can’t sleep and is going out of his mind worrying about Vanna, is she doing well, is she still there, is she still alive?
The whole club is worried about Bloodhound because he is looking so sick, until day 10 of Vanna’s time at rehab she is able to making her first phone call to Bloodhound and that’s when he knows she is going to make it!
Once Vanna is finished rehab Bloodhound picks her up and there is a very emotional and physically intense reunion between husband and wife. Vanna is concerned how the club will think of her and being back with Bloodhound but her fears are allayed when she is immediately greeted with a hug by Ruger, the club president and welcomed home, followed by his wife, Tildie, then others, she is feeling the love and not as worried about being seen as an intruder in Bloodhound’s house. Just as everything has started to dull any cravings, she still has some doubts that she deserves this chance, the love and support, that both Bloodhound and the whole MC club have given her.not everything is running as smoothly as they would like, Vanna has a run in with her ex dealer, Virgil, he demands payback for all the drugs he supplied her and he wants it from her body, not just for him though, he is a human trafficker and now she is clean, she is worth so much more with her beautiful, sexy figure and her feminine face. He starts to slide his hand over body, grabbing at her when she fights him off her head butting him in his nose, but even though she had the satisfaction of knowing she has probably broken his nose, he has punched, slapped, kicked and squeezed her neck so hard, she thought he had killed her Bloodhound finds her and rushes her off to the hospital but vows he will kill Virgil when he finds him. As Bloodhound and Vanna are working on their relationship and planning, there are a number of other incidents that they face that only make their relationship stronger, then the opportunity comes to locate Virgil and deal with him once and for all, but has he tricked Bloodhound and the MC and left the way clear for him to grab Vanna? Will he just kill Vanna now or now put her out there for the highest bidder, with her beautiful looks, hair she is positively glowing, that is apart from the bruises and bites, scratches, her wild hair. Will Bloodhound and the MC get here in time? A brilliant read, I couldn’t put it down once I started.

BLOODHOUND’S BURDEN is the second instalment in Elizabeth Knox’s contemporary, adult SAINTS OF ANARCHY MC : Morgantown WV, dark ,MC romance series, a part of the multi-authored SAINTS OF ANARCHY MC series. This is Garrett ‘Bloodhound’ Mercer, and his wife Savannah ‘Vanna’ Mercer’s story line. BLOODHOUND’S BURDEN can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story line is revealed where necessary.

NOTE: Due to the nature of the story line premise, there may be triggers for more sensitive readers.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Bloodhound and Vanna) with parallel points of view crossing over with one another, BLOODHOUND’S BURDEN focuses on Savannah Mercer’s drug addiction and the slow destruction of both of their lives. Garrett Mercer is tired of watching his wife die every time she wants to get high but Savannah’s addiction is not only killing herself but their marriage as well. One final try at rehab finds Savannah facing a new hurdle, something neither one ever expected, including a debt owed by our story line heroine.

The world building focuses on addiction and recovery, betrayal and heartbreak. Vanna’s addiction hurt everyone she touched, including the man she married, whose heart she broke. Garrett ‘ Bloodhound’ Mercer has been in love with Savannah most of his life, having met and fell in love at nine years of age but Vanna’s addictions are threatening any hope for a happily ever after.

The relationship between Garrett and Vanna struggles in the face of Vanna’s addiction. Five years, on and off, but Vanna’s most recent spiral pushes Garrett one last time to help the woman who does not want help. Garrett is determined to support the woman he has always loved, while Vanna promises to get help while facing the demons from her past. The $ex scenes are limited but passionate.

The secondary and supporting characters are determined and supportive. We are introduced to Garrett’s sister Leah; and Vannah’s father Rick Smith, as well as the return of several members of the Sons of Anarchy MC: Morgantown: Ounce, Porter, Coin and his daughters Sadie Jo and Wrenleigh, Bracken, Maddox, Ruger and Tildie, and Aunt Ellie.

BLOODHOUND’S BURDEN is a story of addiction and abuse, power and control, betrayal and vengeance, family and relationships, forgiveness and love. The character driven premise is fast paced, heart breaking and engaging; the romance is fated; the characters are desperate and charismatic.

It was a lot to take in, in on one go, I had to space this out for a few days.
All good but... we also get some other woman drama, mostly a junkie finally wanted to fight the fight to live again after waiting up in the hospital and see her husband after the bliss of the needle. We will also mentions and afterwards of what Vanna will suffer through when she was kidnapped and halfway into her pregnancy at the hands of her ex-dealer... the trauma that will stay with her for a long time.

Savannah 'Vanna' Mercer, 30s, living a cycle her father started with his using ,dealing and what he got cost to land in prison who also got her mother hooked and eventually Vanna picked up and started the cycle, from Oxy to the Heroin. Found her mother passed in a trap house and later on she will repeat the cycle year after year, overdosed in a trap house and her husband comes to her rescue, say she will change but back overdosing sleeping around to afford the hits and repeat the cycle overdose, Garrett saves her, ERs until she finally wants to get clean. From West Virginia to Pennsylvania, Garrett will get her clean at all costs, cause if he has to put her in the ground due to the overdoing, he to will follow her and he wants one more chance and Vanna's will find her reason beside Garrett and to tight one day at a time even after her 12 weeks of rehab...

Garrett 'Bloodhound 'Blood'' Mercer, 30s, has loved Vanna since he was 9, first kissed her at 17, married at 19, 25 when he first flushed the drugs to help but caused her to hate him and she found ways for the drugs. 22 /17 (changes throughout this story) Years of loving her and he will never give up on her even if she gives up on herself, even if it costs him a lot to get her finally cleaned from years of overdosing cycles, he wants his wife back in his arms not the ghost of Vanna or her fill in Venus) at night, but his wife, the only woman he loves and will die for. Reason why he cant give up with about what happened to his and Leah's parents when he was 9 and she was 4 and what he did and didn't do and the cost...

Next up will be Coin the clubs secretary, single father of 2 daughters, 16 and 23. What his ex racked up to land on him to protect his daughters. Bloodhounds little sister and Vanna's old best friend, Leah, as Bloods wish that she will find someone to take care of her as she does for everyone since she is a nurse.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Bloodhound’s Burden (Saint’s Outlaws MC: Morgantown, WV Book 2) by Elizabeth Knox

Bloodhound’s Burden is raw, emotional, and heavy in the best—and hardest—ways. This is not a light MC romance. It’s a story about addiction, recovery, second chances, and the terrifying cost of loving someone who’s been to the edge and back.

Bloodhound is the definition of ride-or-die. Watching him find Vanna nearly dead and make the decision to stop enabling her destruction sets the tone immediately—this man loves fiercely, but he’s done watching her disappear. His protectiveness isn’t flashy or pretty; it’s desperate, grounded, and fueled by fear of losing her for good. When he promises to burn the world down to protect his family, you believe him.

Vanna’s journey is heartbreaking and hopeful at the same time. Her recovery feels real—messy, fragile, and constantly under threat. Her moment of clarity, admitting she doesn’t want to die, hit hard. This book doesn’t romanticize addiction or recovery, and that honesty makes her strength feel earned. The stakes are high emotionally, not just physically.

The tension escalates fast once her past comes knocking. The dealer storyline is dark and unsettling, and it reinforces how hard it is to escape old lives, even when you’re doing everything right. The danger feels immediate and personal, and Bloodhound’s response is pure MC justice—brutal, unwavering, and terrifyingly effective.

Elizabeth Knox does an excellent job balancing trauma with hope. This is a second-chance romance that understands love isn’t enough on its own—it takes accountability, boundaries, and relentless fight. The bond between Bloodhound and Vanna is forged in pain, but it’s also rooted in deep, hard-won devotion.

Emotionally intense, dark, and powerful, Bloodhound’s Burden is a standout MC romance for readers who want real stakes, real struggle, and a hero who will absolutely become the monster if it means keeping his family safe. Check trigger warnings—but if you’re ready, this book delivers. 🖤🔥🏍️.

Bloodhound’s Burden is the second book in the Saint’s Outlaws MC: Morgantown, WV series, and it’s the kind of emotionally charged MC romance that grabs you fast and doesn’t let go. This story doesn’t aim for “perfect people.” Instead, it gives you characters who feel painfully real. They are deeply flawed, fiercely loving, and remarkably human.

At the center are Vanna (Savannah) and Garrett (Bloodhound), and their love is intense in that soul-deep way. It is the kind of bond that doesn’t just comfort, it holds a life together, overcomes and reveals your strengths. Their relationship carries weight: it’s tender, protective, and hard-won, forged in the chaos rather than after it. The drama runs high, but it’s grounded in emotion that feels earned, not manufactured.

What makes the story hit even harder is the unyielding loyalty of the club. The found family surrounding Vanna and Garrett stands beside them without hesitation as they fight for their safety, their future, and the right to keep the love they’ve built. There’s action and danger, including the MC eliminating a serious threat, and there’s also violence against Vanna that leads to necessary, no-nonsense vengeance.

A note for readers: some elements may be triggering, as the book deals with violence against women and addiction. The author, Elizabeth Knox, handles these themes with empathy and compassion while still being direct and honest about the realities involved.

I read this in one sitting because the characters felt so authentic and the gritty, emotional momentum made it impossible to put down. If you like MC romance that’s raw, protective, and built on unbreakable loyalty, Bloodhound’s Burden delivers. The next book in the series, Coin’s Debt, is already on my wish list.

“A bloodhound keeps tracking no matter how hopeless the trail, no matter how lost the quarry.
Even when the hunt is slowly killing him.”

I knew going into this, it would be a very difficult read.
Vanna spiralled after an accident, falling into a prescription medication addiction before becoming dependent on heavier substances. Bloodhound did what he could to support her, but everyone else cut her off, which was absolutely heartbreaking.
I swear… I had tears in the first few chapters…
I adored him… he was the sweetest, most protective and supportive MMC I’ve read about in a while.

This was visceral. The withdrawal process, his reactions, worry and panic. And then… his history… before and after Vanna…

Now, there is some OW drama. Not going to lie… I really hoped that Bloodhound had stayed faithful, but considering everything, I knew it was unlikely. But, geez… to have the woman there? That’s a bit of an a-z move.

But… his sister? I loathed her at the start. She’s a medical professional, so she would have learned how addiction works, and she’s piling c.rap on Garrett and talking absolute smack about Vanna where she can hear her. That wouldn’t helpwith her mental state at all..

However, while this had the suspense, and dramas with the old dealer, this was foremost, a story of forgiveness and redemption. It was brutal and heartbreaking, and such a difficult read. But well worth it.

Arc Review

This is the second instalment to the Saint’s Outlaws MC. You would have become acquainted with the characters, so please read book 1 Ruger’s Rage.

Bloodhound - Garret Mercer
Vanna Savannah Smith/Mercer

“2 minutes of death”
Cheated death one more time”,
“too far gone?”
“Life beyond addiction”

They say Religion and money ruins people. So does addiction. Heroin may be a saviour to an addict but what about those who love this person? What of them? Garret is this person. Hopeful to get back what he once had. Savannah. 22 years of history. Good/bad & everything in between. 22 years of love comes down to 12 weeks. A lifetime of hope put within this timeline. Good or bad, Vanna is the sole person who can decide upon the outcome.

What a journey we went on with Garret & Vanna. Their story was emotional and confronting. I will not spoil further.
Usually when reading MC stories, it is about the club and what dealings and expectations are within. Here, we concentrated on Vanna and her struggles. Garret always being there. 22 yrs of devotion through some very dark and sinister times. There is always a light at the end. It is how one’s inner turmoil fights for freedom.

A beautiful story of survival. Family bonding, sadly abuse - self destruction but also forced upon.
A new charter in Elizabeth’s writing here.

Devastatingly beautiful is how I sum this up.

A wonderful second book in the series, wonderful characters and plot that holds you to last page
This is the second book in this series; the characters are Bloodhound and Vanna and hope that
This is the second book in the series and is very dark so heed the trigger warnings. Bloodhound and Vanna had been together since they were kids, but circumstances forced them apart for years.

After an accident, Vanna became addicted to the pain pills she was prescribed and after they ran out, she turned to other sources for her addiction. Bloodhound has spent years as her safety net, rescuing her from overdoses all the while loving her and hoping one day she will come back to him.

Finally, after another OD, Vanna is ready for rehab and is willing to really try to get clean this time. True to her word, Vanna applies herself and does everything the counselors ask of her because she loves Bloodhound and realizes that she doesn't want to die.

Of course, her past comes back to ruin the happiness that she and Bloodhound have finally reclaimed. They have a lot of obstacles to overcome before they finally get their HEA.

This is a heart-wrenching book dealing with difficult issues and requires a box of tissues but is well worth reading!
I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the wonderful writing.

She is his first and only love

Bloodhound's Burden is the second book in the Saint's Outlaws MC: Morgantown, WV series. The overarching story-line for this series is starting to progress as this book centers around Savannah "Vanna" Mercer and Garrett 'Bloodhound or Blood'' Mercer. Yep they are married already but not really a family, as Vanna fights a very ugly cycle of addiction to drugs. It started with her father, then her mother, and then her. Bloodhound has loved Vanna since they were young children and always knew she was the only one for him, his other half. He as been with her during it all and seen the ugly side of addiction. He has saved her more than once until she finally says she wants to save herself also. Now he will move hell itself to get her clean and help keep her that way. The result is an unexpected pregnancy, a chance at a future neither thought they would get, and the woman he loves fighting for it also. But when danger circles back to Vanna what will happen one tiny slip at a time.
I really loved this story even at it is hard to read at times, and believe me it can be stomach flipping at certain moments. But it is also uplifting, makes you believe in true love, and get to read a lovely HEA for a couple who have been through it all and back again.

An emotional rollercoaster!

What a heartfelt, emotional story this one was! The plot was amazing – it was a journey from despair to healing with everything in between. The title is so right and relevant to the story! Bloodhound (Garret) and Vanna (Savannah) were two so well-presented, flawed, raw MCs! I felt for them both. Their journey was not an easy one – it was full of heartache, fighting inner demons and the devastating consequences of addiction; the story touches a very serious matter and it does it with respect – and hope -, but it was also about family ties, love that tramps everything else and, of course, healing. There was action and danger that kept me at the edge of my seat. But the most prominent feature, in my opinion, is the emotional rollercoaster, which was one of a kind and left me a mess. In a good sense – one that one a really, really good book can do. It was not an easy read emotionally, but it certainly was a rewarding one, a cathartic one. I loved every page, even the ones that brought me to tears. One the most 5-star-worthy reads I have read recently! I can’t wait for the next one in the series!

Loved this book!!! This book gives insight to addiction and the way it can and has destroyed lives and families. Bloodhound and Vanna have been joined together since she moved in next door to his house. Vanna has had the deck stacked against her because of her family situation.
When Bloodhound and Vanna got married, they had a bright future, but life and problems split them apart and Vanna spiraling into the family addiction of Herion. Thus all this Bloodhound never gave up on her and eventually he connived her to get clean one last time, not knowing that she will become pregnant as she goes through the process. This is the wake-up call Vanna needs and she gets clean and back together with Bloodhound.
Vanna also slowly reconnects with her father, who is in prison for selling bad drugs to people and those said people dies,. The club helps to include Vanna into their fold as and finally gets it into her head that they are family and family is around and helps when needed.
Bloodhound and Vanna’s future is looking up and soon they are building their marriage stronger than ever, Vanna’s pasts comes calling and threatening her, Bloodhound and the MC take care of the problem.

This is the second book in this impressive series, and this is Garrett / Bloodhound and Savannah / Vanna’s journey.
These two have been married for 7-years, and Bloodhound has loved Vanna for the past 22-years. Vanna is addicted to drugs, and when Bloodhound gets a call from a trap house, he rushes Vanna to the hospital, but there is only so much that can be done to help her, until she asks for it herself. Rehab is tough on Vanna, and Bloodhound is determined to protect and keep her safe from her toxic dealer.
Be aware of the trigger warning, due to sensitive topics!
This is not an easy to read, emotional roller coaster, which has found family, friendships, danger suspense, intrigue, tension, drama, challenges, determination, soulmates, compassion, healing, second chances, forgiveness, undeniable chemistry, and unconditional love, which leads to an entertaining, twisted, and unpredictable, addictive page turner.

This is a beautiful story, but also very intense. The book contains triggers, and it's advisable to read the warnings. I enjoyed Garret and Savannah's story. Their journey has dark moments, and she struggles with addiction. When they find her in the hospital and wake up, she makes it clear that she doesn't want to die. Together they battle her addiction, and she escapes. They unintentionally spend a night together. And just when they're about to take their budding relationship to the next level, her dark past comes back into play. Someone is trying very hard to pull her back into the world of drugs. But they haven't counted on Garret, who will do anything to protect her and their lives, and when he has to, he transforms into the beast everyone fears and is known for. It's a story about people struggling with defeat who, through love, trust, and hard work, emerge and seize a chance at happiness.

This biker romance goes far beyond the usual tropes. It focuses on one biker and his wife as they try to find their way back to each other after she returns from a 12-week drug rehab—pregnant with his child. The story doesn’t shy away from the hard truths: the brutal reality of withdrawal, the repeated failures, the exhausting work of getting clean, and the fact that addiction never simply disappears.
What makes this book especially powerful is how clearly it shows that rehab only works if the person truly wants it, and how much strength that decision requires. Alongside the romance, the brotherhood of the biker family plays an important role, offering support, loyalty, and stability.
This is not a light biker romance—it’s emotional, raw, and deeply realistic. A story that lingers long after the last page and leaves a lasting impression.

Elizabeth Knox has given us another gritty look at humanity, through the eyes of an MC. She’s taken drug addiction and all the ways it affects the person suffering from addiction and how it hurts the family, the community and anyone within the addicts orbit and humanized it. Made me see the person ( Vanna ), was suffering from a disease and needed intervention, not condemnation . How the MC chosen family rallied around her and Bloodhound/Garret and in the end, how Vanna showing up one day at a time, doing the Narcotics Anonymous work and making amends, made for a strong family unit. This is one of the best books I’ve read in the last few years, and kudos to the author for tackling it in such an inspiring and engaging way. 5✨’s.

I'd recommend this if you are in the mood for an MC romance about a biker who refuses to give up on the wife he's been separated from due to her struggles with addiction.

Overall, I rate it 3.5⭐out of 5 based on the following: 🤩Enjoyment - 3; 👥Characters - 4; 📖Plot - 4; 🗺️Atmosphere - 3; and🖋️Writing - 4 with the first 3 categories being most important. In my opinion, a 3.5⭐rating is still a good book, but it fell just a bit short of being added to my potential re-read list; however, I will absolutely read more books in this series and/or by this author.

What worked for me:
• Bloodhound's refusal to give up on Vanna even when she was at her lowest
• Vanna eventually realizing she is strong enough to move forward one day at a time

I was lucky enough to receive a free copy of this book; however, all opinions are my own.

Wow, what an emotional ride! I have read other novels by this author and really enjoyed them. This novel did not disappoint. This novel from the very first chapter reached across the pages and tore my heart out and held on tight for the entire novel. I loved Vanna and Bloodhound's story. My heart hurt for them both. This was such a gritty love story of loving someone despite the horrible life choices they have made in the past. My heart hurt so much for Bloodhound as he is supporting Vanna despite her horrible drug addiction. Despite everything their chemistry is intense. I was on the edge of my seat reading. I could not put this novel down because I needed to know what was coming next. So good. Such a emotional ride! I can hardly wait to see what this author has coming next.

Addiction turned Vanna into someone Bloodhound didn’t recognize, but he never gave up on her. That’s one of the main themes of the book- never giving up. The story is not an easy read; it’s about addiction and recovery, which isn’t pretty. But the thing that stayed true throughout is the hope. And that’s beautiful.
Book is NOT SAFE.
Heat is MORE PLOT THAN HOT.
TRIGGERS- oh man, grab a book and a chair because this is gonna take a minute- including but not limited to: Graphic Violence, On-Page Substance Abuse, Memories of Parental Death, Addiction, Bodily Fluids, Detailed Detox, Language, SA (with on-page R), and Infidelity.
TROPES include One Day at a Time, Addiction Recovery, First Love, Second Chance, Surprise Pregnancy, Found Family.

Bloodhound is the Sergeant at Arms of the MC. He gets a call Scott good wife. He goes to where she's at and sees she's od'ed. He gets her to the hospital, stay till she's stable then leaves.
Vanna has been married to Blood for years but had let life in their little town get get down. Now she's made the decision to do drugs rehab. Blood drives her there. She's scared and discovers it's hard.
The story shows the ups and downs of rehab and the possibility of relapsing. Then an added issue is added to the weight she carries. Blood believes in her and is standing by her.
Will she make it and rebuild her life? Will Blood keep standing be l by her?
A fascinating story that is heartbreaking in since ways and educational on others.

Book 2 of Saint's Outlaws MC: Morgantown, WV series, about Vanna and Garrett ‘Bloodhound’. This is not the easiest book to read, about the first half of this book is about overcoming addiction, the withdrawal they experience and the choices they are forced to make, showing both sides of addiction. Blood never gave up on her and there is beauty in that. Vanna tries and becomes the person who can take everything one day at a time and nearly everyone was very supportive when she came back. It does take a darker turn towards the end, when Vanna’s old drug dealer takes her. Overall, the story shows that we are worth more than our lowest points and people can be supportive no matter how long it takes.

Hauntingly Beautiful

I will never not read anything from Elizabeth Knox. The way she writes a book that captures you and traps you in the story until its over if phenomenal! You are the characters and going the journey.

Vanna is haunted. She is haunted by receiving. She is strong and fierce and tries her hardest to beat it but sometimes what lurks in the dark is stronger then you are in the light. Bloodhound is protective and possessive. He is the backbone and shining light for everyone he loves. He brings the light into Vannas darkness and together the shine brighter. I absolutely loved them.

I cannot wait to see what Elizabeth brings us next in this new world Saints Outlaws MC

The first thing I have to say is heed the trigger warnings because this book is dark and it might not be your cup of tea. That being said, I just have to say that I absolutely loved and devoured this book. Bloodhound and Vanna were amazing characters and their story was filled with lots emotional moments that showed that people’s struggles are very real. I won’t divulge much about the story but just to say that Elizabeth Knox treated it very delicately but also gave us different perspectives without sugar coating anything. Loved the family feeling that the MC always has and how they always look out and protect one of their own. A wonderful book.

Blood/ Garrett and Vanna broke my heart, but they put it back together even stronger! Elizabeth Knox never fails to impress me with her stories: the emotions, the reality, and the humanity makes me feel everything. The TW should be noted: addiction, recovery, violence, and stalking are difficult topics for many. He loves her so hard: protects her, never gives up, and it takes a toll on his heart and soul! She’s so lost, her pain is so real, and she’s ready to give up! Their journey is heartbreaking, but the support from family and friends shows how much they are cared for and how much love means. I think this is one of the best treatments of addiction I’ve read! It’s a 5/5 for plot and spice!!.

Bloodhound has never stopped loving his wife, he has never abandoned her in her times of need. He is afraid one of these times she will really OD and he will lose her for good. Vanna is a downward spiral that she does not seem to be able to get out of but Bloodhound convinces her finally to take rehab seriously.

You will need tissues for this one, this is painful, there is a lot of work for these two to get to a good place. Vanna being pregnant hits her with how important her sobriety is not just for her but their baby.

This may be triggering for some due the drug use and hints at what she had done in the past for them. Every girl needs a man devoted to them like he is to Vanna.

An emotional roller coaster right to the end.

For some love never dies, no matter what is thrown at them. Once they find the only person that completes them, they're done looking for anyone else. They hold on to that love even if it destroys them.

Bloodhound found that love with Savannah, but life put up barriers and tragedy pulling them apart, piece by piece. He was determined though to that she was his, no matter what.

This book was such an emotional roller coaster of a ride from start to finish. Tragedy struck and the hits just kept on coming. Elizabeth Knox did a great job with this tragic story and the characters were well written. I look forward to more in her Saint's Outlaw books to come.
