The Moretti Men #2

Death's Favor

Rate this book
Danika
I ran from my Russian father to escape an arranged marriage
and ended up handcuffed to an Italian mafia hitman … in his bed.

He’s as intensely beautiful as he is ruthless.
A dichotomy of callous yet kind that fascinates me, though I know it shouldn’t.
The man’s a killer.

But more than that, he suffers from compulsions—a need to control every aspect of his life.
And now that I’ve entered his world, I’ve become his ultimate fixation.

What to Expect in Death’s Favor:
-Neurodivergent assassin MMC
-Artist FMC (hearing impaired)
-He holds her prisoner
-Forced proximity
-Opposites attract
-Grumpy/sunshine
-Forced marriage
-Burn the world for her

For those of you who are new to me, I write what I'd call "mafia lite." My heroes are hardened criminals with soft spots for their heroines. There may be violence and cruelty in my books, but never between the main characters. Enjoy!

Jill is a Texan, born and raised. She manages the hectic social calendars for her three active children and occasionally spends an evening with her dashing husband. Aside from being an author and a mom, she's a travel junkie and loves to read when she is not lost in her own stories.

With Jill’s books, you can count on confident heroines, plenty of steamy tension, and deliciously assertive leading men. There are no guarantees in life, but with her books, you know everything will work out in the end. However, a perfect ending would not be nearly as satisfying without a seemingly insurmountable challenge. Two Mobs Collide

Danika is the unwanted daughter of a Russian mob leader, who remembered he had a daughter he could marry off to the guy harassing his organization. Danika’s family sent her on the run and she went to the apartment of a friend who was out of a town and broke in. The good news was the she had a place to lie low. The bad news was that her friend no longer held that apartment, as it was occupied by a member of the mafia.

Tommy was sure that Danika was a spy for the Russians, since it was the second time he had run into her in less than 24 hours. Before long he understands why Danika was on the run and was happy to protect her… by marrying her himself. Tommy has a severe case of OCD, possibly somewhere on the spectrum. He doesn’t always understand social cues, but he does understand that Danika is something special and will do anything to keep her safe.

This was a little spicy, but nothing trigger worthy, and for an insta-love romance it was pretty good.

3.75 stars!

Dannika finds herself in a pickle when her absent mob boss dad tries to sell her off. She runs and runs right into Tommy.

Tommy is part of a mafia family and when he sees Dannika, he knows he’ll do anything to make her his. And save her in the process.

This mafia-light story had a lot of action, some heartwarming and heartbreaking moments and some decent steam. Dannika was just an all around decent FMC and I really loved how she was with Tommy.

Tommy was a neurodivergent hero that loved his little thief and I loved his straight forwardness. Dannika and Tommy were just so cute. And had loads of chemistry.

“Want to know what you taste like, little thief?”

He brings his finger to my lips as though to give me a taste, then detours at the last second, his hand dropping to cuff my neck. He brings his lips a breath away from my ear and whispers, “Mine. You taste like mine, little thief.”

While I wish there had been a little more steam in here because Tommy’s dirty talk was *chefs kiss*, I still enjoyed their story and the banter!

Death's Favor by Jill Ramsower
4/5⭐
3/5🌶️

This was my first book by this author, and I was surprised at how easily I could dive into the storyline and immerse myself in this mafia world! Danika, the daughter of a Russian Don, has never lived with her father, but one day he reaches out wanting to meet her. He has plans to marry her off to someone named The Reaper for business reasons, but Danika is determined to escape and stay with one of her friends. Unfortunately, when she gets there, her friend isn’t living there anymore, and instead, she meets Tommy, a hitman from the Italian mob!

Tommy is quite an interesting character. He's a hitman with a neurodivergent mind—ruthless and calculative, and likes order in his life. The moment he meets Danika, he can’t get her out of his head. When they cross paths again, his obsession only deepens, and he’s unwilling to let her go.

Danika is an incredible artist—strong, brave, sweet, and independent. She lives with her mom and grandmother, and you can feel the love and support they share. I enjoyed watching her slowly come to understand Tommy and open her heart to him. Their connection is so special, and it’s touching to see how far Tommy is willing to go to protect her, even with the trouble that might come because of her ties to the Russian mob.

Overall, I had a great time reading this book! The main characters are so lovable, and the side characters add even more fun to the story. The family dynamics are fantastic, and there are plenty of action-filled moments that kept me on the edge of my seat!

* 3.5⭐️3🌶️
* Received this as a gifted eARC
* “The story follows Danika, who is escaping an arranged marriage orchestrated by her estranged Russian mafia father, Biba Mikhailov. She flees to a friend's apartment, only to discover it's now occupied by Tommaso "Tommy" Donati, a neurodivergent Italian Mafia assassin known for his compulsions and intense need for control.”
* I enjoyed this “light mafia” romance so much. The spice was perfect, the tension was great. There was definitely gore but nothing overwhelming. I downloaded the bonus epilogue and it was so sweet! I can’t wait to read more from this author.
* Read if you like: neurodiverse rep (MMC) OCD, mafia, arranged marriage, artist (FMC), possessive MMC, found family

I absolutely loved Dani and Tommy! I thought they had fantastic chemistry and I appreciated how Dani loved all the things about Tommy that made him different because of his ASD. Tommy and Danika will forever and always be my favorites. This couple start out in a very dark and yet hilarious way. This whole book is charming but walks a line between dark and dangerous.

I couldn’t picture a more perfect heroine for Tommy. Danika is the one person in the world who would get him and respect who he his at his core. It’s Tommy who has to decide if he can trust her.

This book has a hold on me for two reasons. The first reason is the neuro divergence rep. As someone who has the same ticks and feels the same way about them I totally connected with Tommy and took to his dark brooding persona instantly. The second reason is the storyline. I can not say it enough how much o appreciate that Jill takes a beloved trope and turns it all around to make her stories stand apart from the rest.

Tommy and Danika fought for their place in the world and I will forever love these two. I was excited to finally see Tommy grow up and show his family that he isn’t the immature punk kid they all thought he was. It was beautiful to see the respect he fought for finally come to fruition.

I really loved this book. I was and am humbled and honored to have received an ARC of Death’s Favor.

This book instantly drew me in on tropes alone and I found myself connecting and identifying so much with Tommy. I’m neurodivergent myself and this was such an authentic rendering of what that’s like. It made me feel seen while also showing that we are more than that.

Danika and Tommy’s story was a pleasure to read and I enjoyed all the other characters we got to see, especially Danika’s Gran and her Mom. I loved seeing the family dynamics as well. I’ve also got so many questions and can’t wait for the next book.

I’m eager to see more of this world and recommend you read this book as soon as you can.

You’ll be doing Death a Favor. 😏

Tommy! Oh, I’ve wanted to know more about him so so so badly. And now, here we are. The scary man and the presumed thief. Sure, he and Dani may have had some awkwardness between them, but since his body told him “mine” from the start, it’ll all work out. I mean, it has to. Right?

Dani’s expected to wed, but the groom apparently matters a little more than you’d think. After all, she’s a pawn in a game she never wanted to play. But Tommy and his family could save her. And Tommy could keep her, if she’ll just agree to be his.

As much as these two may seem like an unlikely match, they’re perfect. She just gets him. She soothes him. And he gets her. He protects and adores her (and vice versa, really). And everyone knows what needs to happen to make this all a forever sort of deal. The funniest part is that no one expected it to go as it did. Or did they?

Now I have to wait for the next chapter in this family’s tale. I just know it’s going to involve some fights, anger, probably a bruise or five, and maybe even learning more about the unknown in play. I had theories, now I have new ones. And I have to wait how long to see if any of them are right?? Darn.

When 𝐉𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐑𝐚𝐦𝐬𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫 writes a book, you can bet I'll be tearing through it in no time, and that's exactly what happened with 𝐃𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐡’𝐬 𝐅𝐚𝐯𝐨𝐫. I flew through the pages, completely engrossed in the story. Mayhem ensues when Danika, a woman trying to escape a forced marriage arranged by her absentee father, ends up breaking into a mafia man’s house. She was running from Russian mobsters only to be taken in by the Italian man, Tommy Donati.

𝐓𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐲 has always been seen as rebellious and aloof. With his neurodivergent mind, he's been labeled as unreliable in business. But he has his own routines and coping mechanisms that help him navigate through life. When he crosses paths with Dani, it's like a whirlwind of chaos enters his ordered world. He sees her as trouble, not just because of her mafia connections, but also because she becomes his latest obsession.

𝐈 thoroughly enjoyed this book. Tommy is a lovable character, and Dani is kind and understanding, accepting him for who he is. They both share the experience of feeling like outsiders, despite their different struggles. Their connection was like fitting two puzzle pieces together perfectly. These two melted my heart!

𝐈𝐟 you're a fan of light mafia romances with endearing characters, this story is a must-read! Thank you to 𝐉𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐑𝐚𝐦𝐬𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫 and 𝐕𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐏𝐑 for this early reading copy. All thoughts shared here are my own.

Overall I liked this book… I liked how it was different in the sense that the MMC was neurodivergent.. as someone who also is it was nice to see the representation especially in the aspect of a scary mafia man
The reason for my 4/5 star rating is it was definitely on the mafia lite side but regardless I liked it

Tommy and Danika definitely had a unique meet cute, but they made it work and somehow, fell in love.

Tommy is not a boy obsessed; he is a boy addicted. Once he falls, he is addicted to her and loves her so much. He is happy to wait for her to catch up, or just keep her anyway. ;)

The spice, oh my GAWD. it is hawt.

Thank you Jill and Valentine PR for an advanced copy.

I love these Moretti Men! Dani is on the run from her Russian mob father, who has decided after years of not claiming her that she will be married to the reaper. Not down for this arranged marriage, Dani is hiding out when she finds herself tangled up with Tommy and the Italian mafia. Tommy has someone struggles of his own but vows to keep Dani safe... Eeek! I loved it! Five Stars!
I listened to the audiobook narrated by Maeve York and CJ Mission. This was my first time listening to either narrator. I loved their chemistry and the intensity they brought to this mafia world.

I devoured this book within the day- like seriously I could not put it down. We were introduced to Tommy in Sante’s book and I have been ever so desperate for his story and now here we are🤭

Now our FMC Danika finds ourself in quite a pickle- he biological father has never been a part of her life, she was raised by her mother and gran, and now is only making an appearance as he has found some use for her, yes absolutely awful behaviour 🤦🏻‍♀️ Anywho, Danika’s father has instructed her that she will marry a man who is know as the reaper to form an alliance. Of course Danika refuses but if she doesn’t go through with it her mother and gran will face the wrath of her father.

Deeply upset Danika flees to the police station and she ends up colliding with Tommy. Now not a single woman has ever captured Tommys attention for more than a fracture of a second but this was certainly not the case when it came to Danika- I mean the man held on to the scrunchie she dropped😂

Danika explains the situation to her family and they decide that she needs to lay low. She decides to go to a friends place as she knows he is out of town, but when she arrives she is quite surprised to see Tommy. Yes, her friend recently sold his apartment to Tommy😂 In the mafia world there’s no such thing as a coincidence and as such he keeps Danika and questions her. She explains the situation vaguely in which she stole something from Biba in which he wants back.

Of course Tommy does some further digging only to reveal Danika’s truth and as such he decides he will marry Danika to protect her. But of course this is no marriage of convenience it is completely selfish on Tommy’s part as he is obsessed with Danika and wants her to be forever his. And to be honest the feeling was definitely mutual on Danika’s side.

I honestly loved this book- Tommy and Danika’s chemistry was impeccable. I honestly loved when a man will drop a “my wife” every chance he gets, I mean Danika wasn’t even his wife at some points and he still called her that - that man had one end goal only. We see some old faces which is always a pleasure and Jill has also set up who our next couple is going to be and I oh so can’t wait for them🤭

Thank you to VPR who provided this e-arc for my honest thoughts.

Interesting characters 🙂
Wasn’t sure what to expect as this was a new author for me, it was a solid read with a standard plot (Mafia daughter forced into an are aged marriage she doesn’t want and finds herself a saviour who gets her ‘out’) but it was the characters that really made this book 😃 Danika is selfless and protective of those who mean everything to her and she will do anything to look out for them including putting herself in danger 😳 she’s a spitfire in most ways but also soft and vulnerable in others making her a likeable FMC! Tommy is our MMC, the Italian Mobs assassin, he becomes obsessed with our FMC after one chance meeting 😮 it’s clear he does all he can to keep Dani safe from her father and his men yet it doesn’t always come across in the best way - miscommunication/misunderstanding is a big trope here - making it a challenging journey for them 🙈 it isn’t helped that with his neurodivergency he has his own self esteem issues 😣 they do get their HEA in the end after some setbacks 🙂 I’m not sure whether this is a lighter Mafia read than what I’m used to it just didn’t grip me like I was hoping for so felt a little underwhelmed but this will likely will be amazing for someone else 👍

Danika is on the run—from her controlling Russian father, from a future she doesn’t want, and from a marriage that would have sealed her fate. But freedom is short-lived when she finds herself handcuffed—literally—to a dangerous Italian hitman whose gaze is just as lethal as his gun. He’s intense, methodical, and absolutely terrifying. But what makes him irresistible is that he’s also fiercely protective and unexpectedly gentle with her, despite the chains binding her to his world.

What really makes this book stand out is the depth and nuance of the characters. The neurodivergent, obsessive-compulsive assassin? One of the most compelling MMCs I’ve read in a while. His need for order, control, and precision clashes beautifully with Danika’s creative, vibrant energy. She’s an artist, hearing-impaired, and full of color in his grayscale world. Their chemistry? Volatile. Unpredictable. Addictive.

Forced proximity
You can feel the tension in every scene.
Grumpy/sunshine
Their banter gives just enough light to pierce the darkness.
Opposites attract? Try wildfire-level magnetism.
He holds her prisoner—but it’s her soul he truly captures.

We love a gritty, morally gray man down bad for his woman and a brave heroine with claws, both of which are featured in Death’s Favor by Jill Ramsower.

Death’s Favor was a quick, fun, spicy read with tropes like forced proximity, neurodivergent rep, hearing loss rep, assassins, artists, grumpy/sunshine, and more. The dual presence of both Russian and Italian mafias added a layer of entertainment and complexity to the plot that will undoubtedly keep all readers engaged - speaking from experience. But, aside from the darker mafia themes laced with violence, the added romance and neurodivergent elements truly enhanced the reading experience for me. The depictions of the disorders were written carefully and with great precision, capturing more than the stigmatized and stereotypical symptoms typically associated with them. Jill wrote them very tastefully and crafted each character to be relatable despite their differences. And, although it was full of tension and had delicious spice, Death’s Favor also boasts a slower burn with deeper questions around virtue and morals. The love story was refreshing with just enough heat to complement the mafia plot lines.

If you like your stories steeped in grit, full of angst, and filled with unwavering love, give Death’s Favor a try when it comes out on August 4, 2025!

I liked Tommy and Danika - they were good characters and I enjoyed this book more than the first in the series (Sante and Amelie) Tommy and Danika know their situation is twisted and the pace of their emotions is extremely fast, but they’re both aware - I can accept it, when the characters are aware that their situation is crazy, but go for it anyway, I can get behind that - it’s the ones who act like their shits normal that throw me off.

The story is fast paced, easy read, no cheating, no third act breakup, no age gap. You get a little bit of Renzo and Sante - Shae goes into labor at the end of this story so if you’re a fan of Craving Chaos (my favorite) it’s nice to get a little piece of Renzo and Shae.

This series isn’t as good as her others, but it’s enjoyable for a quick read/mafia light/light on the dark romance too, it’s dark but it’s not dark dark - maybe I’m a little twisted 🤣 because the “twisted” stuff wasn’t that twisted to me.

If you’re already a fan of any of the other series, you’ll enjoy this series “enough” but if you haven’t read this authors books before, don’t start here - start anywhere else.

I enjoyed it a lot.

After that ending in previous book I was very curious about Tommy’s story and it didn’t disappoint.
From the first meeting itself Tommy was kinda fixated on Danika despite him fighting it. He was a very interesting character.
Danika was kinda sweet and mellow heroine. I did wish she was a little badass at times.

Renzo was another character I was happy to see in this book. Missed the whole Byrne gang.

You will enjoy this book if you like:

-Mafia romance.
-Neurodivergent rep.
-Obsessed hero.
-Forced proximity.
-Grumpy sunshine.
-Assassin hero x innocent heroine.
-TW, Safe and KU.

OKAYYYY TOMMY, I SEE YOU!!! I loved this sequel to Devil's Thirst so much - I was so excited to get Tommy + Danika's story after the ending of Devil's Thirst and BOY did it deliver. I loved the portrayal of Tommy's compulsions and how he felt peace around Danika and I thought that was literally just the most romantic thing EVER. Danika was incredibly thoughtful and sweet given her traumatic experiences, and was so tender and understanding with Tommy. I was truly all-in with their relationship -- I loved the immediate obsession that Tommy had with her and that Danika kind of just accepted it (same, girl).

The way that Danika ended up working through her trauma was beautiful, and I was glad to see how Tommy supported that journey for her. I thought the ending was *chefs kiss* for these two!

I also loved that we got to see so much of Amelie + Sante in this as well and boy are Danika's mom + grandma some badass women!

Tommaso Donati 🔥

He's just the best. I'm obsessed with him.

He wasn't like everyone else, he needed order and he was compulsive but he was soo good and sweet. 🥹
I loved how he fell in love with Dani hard and fast.

Dani was great. She wanted to understand him and not to change him. She was exactly what he needed.

This book was so fast paced, I loved it. I started it and couldn't put it down. Sante and Tommy had each other's backs no matter what, Im happy Tommy had Sante in his life. And Danika's grandma!! she was hilarious 😂

The chemistry and pull between Tommy and Dani was hot. I loved how he wanted to wait ❤️

I think this is my new favorite 😍 I can't wait for the next one!! that ending was fantastic 🤯👌🏽😂

This was my first book my Jill Ramsower and it definitely won’t be my last!!

This has everything I love in mafia romances! I devoured this book in a day and couldn’t put it down because I was loving it so much! I didn’t read book 1 of the series and I love that it didn’t feel like I was missing anything in the story! I am so excited to go back and read book 1 because I cannot get enough!

I absolutely loved Tommy and Danika’s relationship! Tommy meets Danika in passing in front of the police station and his world is completely flipped upside down by her. Danika is on the run and Tommy will do anything to protect her and make her his.

I loved all of the side characters! Especially Gran! She was definitely a great character with so much spunk!

I need DiAngelo’s book ASAP!! Oh my gosh!!

Boring, quite a few mistakes, and the mmc is absolutely horrid to mfc at times.

I’m really disappointed with this one as I really loved the first one after a while. We met Tommy in the first book as he’s friends and cousins with Sante. I liked Tommy in the first book as he didn’t like what Sante was doing to Amelie. Yet in this one at times he traumatises poor Dani. I understand the author is trying to say that because he’s on the spectrum is why he’s like it, but that’s no excuse for what he does later on in the book.

Dani lives with her mother and grandmother and she’s a??? What does she do for work? I know she’s an artist but does she sell them? How old is she? Has she had boyfriends before? When her father who she never sees demands that she marries a man who is murdering a lot of his Bratva soldiers, Dani is rightly horrified. Her father had a brief affair with her mother but didn’t want to know his daughter when she lost her hearing in one ear. After the mother and her friend do a crash course in picking a lock, (I kid you not. 😂) she breaks into what she thinks is her friends home but is now Tommy’s. So a top enforcer for the mafia lives in apartment that’s really easily broken into??? 😂😂😂😂

Tommy is already obsessed with Dani after meeting her earlier, but he’s convinced that she’s a spy for someone, so for reasons unknown he lets her stay in his apartment. There’s a really silly plot with him trying to handcuff her to the bed, but ends up handcuffing both of them to the bed. Which is impossible to do. Anyway moving on, they’re soon falling in love somehow, I don’t understand how as they barely talk. There is a slight bit of danger as her father isn’t happy and wants her back, but it doesn’t really come to anything.

I just didn’t enjoy this one sadly. I didn’t like Tommy at all. Also why does none of the mafia members have guards? Renzo the don never has guards and it’s weird.

****************************************************************SPOILERS AHEAD************************

After forcing Dani to marry him to keep ‘her safe’ he thinks Dani doesn’t want him so he forces himself inside her. Yes Dani was trying to seduce her husband but he hurt her! It was pretty much r*ping her!!! 😡😡😡😡😡 Just because he thought she didn’t want him! It’s disgusting!!!

3.75 rounded up!

I liked the setting, the characters individually, and the plot was solid. The way they met, and he was already fixated on her.

The overall arc of the characters was small, because the time frame was also a short period of time, and while they did develop and grow, inside the relationship with the other, the one with more aspects to change was Tommy, and he did. It felt real and not forced by events, or just because Danika 'told him to'. He was also self-aware and knew, once it hit him, that he was doing, how he was acting was more a reflection of his fears than the other people's actions.

Like I said, it's a short time frame, but somehow, the ten days didn’t feel insta-lovey. It was fast but not forced. Danika fell a little flat for me, and Tommy was great, but somehow the chemistry for spice was not there, but for romance it was? I’m confused as I write this because I can see them together and in love, but I just don’t see them making said love.

That's my only complaint and why the rating is not higher. While I loved them in love and individually, the chemistry was missing for me, so in my opinion, it would have benefited from a little bit more 'time' as in maybe make them spend a couple of weeks longing and horny for the chemistry to build, instead of less than six days.

Thank you, TAA and Jill, for being on your team and getting this ARC is an honor, and I'm beyond thankful!

Quotes:

Danika Dobrev, the feisty redhead with a man problem, is here in my apartment.

She has no idea there's a greater danger standing right in front of her. A man with shady morals and a penchant for taking what he wants. That man wouldn't just kill her; he'd keep her, and her life would be forever his.

She'll turn my life inside out until it's unrecognizable, and I'm so fucking fixated already that I'll probably thank her for it.

No, not a kiss.
There's nothing romantic about my desperation. My demands. I use my lips to beg in the only way I know how. I devour her.

I want Danika Dobrev.
Everything else is superfluous.

She's rooted herself more deeply inside me than she could ever know. Moving on wouldn't just be a matter of erasing her.
I'd have to lobotomize a part of my brain.

"You'll agree to be mine because that's what your body wants."

Mine. You taste like mine, little thief."

That I desperately want her to want me. I'm beyond obsessed with her. Every minute I spend with her, every touch and taste of her, only solidifies my madness. Jesus, the taste of her.

"You, little thief. You've changed everything."

"Bend your knees. That's it. Now, slowly, slowly spread your knees to the sides. Show me what's mine, Dani. I want to see that beautiful pink pussy on display, just for me."

"You're perfect for me, little thief, and that's all the perfect that matters."

Dani's guy. Fuck, I like the sound of that.

"Danika Dobrev, I will marry you. There is nothing about this life that I want any part of if it's not with you. You quiet my demons and fill me with hope. Please, don't make me wait a minute longer.
Marry me here, today."

"Please, little thief. You've stolen my heart. Put me out of my misery and say you'll be mine."

Tommy, I can't take much more," I admit breathlessly.
"You can. You just don't want to. My wife has a greedy little pussy, doesn't she?"

We got glimpses of Tommy and his relationship with Sante in Devil’s Thirst, and I just knew his book was going to be great! Tommy’s OCD tendencies have always been a struggle for him and he tries to hide it from others out of embarrassment. I loved that Danika went out of her way to help ease his concern and doesn’t make a big deal out of his habits. In some books that start off with a main character that is neurodivergent there is often a tendency for the other party to try to help them overcome those habits. Danika doesn’t try to change Tommy she just embraces him, and I loved that. Tommy is down bad for Danika the moment he meets her, but he is convinced that it is a passing fad and he will just get over it. The minute he decides he is going to keep her, Tommy will do whatever it takes to ensure that Danika never leaves.

Listen to this if you love:

🖤 Neurodivergent MMC (who also happens to be an assassin)
💕 Forced Proximity
🖤 Grumpy/Sunshine
💕 Touch her and ☠️
🖤 He holds her prisoner

I listened to the audiobook for this one and Maeve York and CJ Mission did a perfect job bringing Tommy and Danika to life. The frustrations Tommy has with his OCD could have easily been overperformed or sounded extremely forced, but it really felt like we got a window into Tommy. Once I started the audiobook I couldn’t stop because of both the story and the performances. Tommy and Danika are an exercise in contradictions so on paper they shouldn’t work. They were exactly what the other needed and from the minute they met I was rooting for them. Despite Danika’s sunny exterior, she doesn’t just roll over and allow Tommy to run all over her. Their back and forth banter just adds to their chemistry, especially with Tommy’s straight forward nature. Danika’s grandmother added some comedic relief to the story, and she had me laughing out loud. Overall I thoroughly enjoyed this story!

Thank you so much to Valentine PR and Jill Ramsower for the ALC of this story.

****ALC****

Thanks to Valentines PR for selecting me for this ALC. And a HUGE!!! thank you to the wonderful author for writing this amazing book. THANK YOU!!! ❤❤❤

Tommy and Dani.

I love how you could see how much they cared about each other. Dani had gone through alot in her life especially with her diabolical father. Her mom and grandmother were *chefs kiss* and I loved that she had them by her side and not to mention her bestie. Tommy loved Dani so much and vice versa. I loved that he promised to give her a proper wedding every year as long as he lived and when they found that other info, I squealed because I was waiting for it. These two were the perfect match and it was inevitable that they would end up together and fall inlove.

Overall I give this book a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5. I loved the romance and love of the book and not to mention family; obviously not all of them but yeah. Also, his sister and the Bodyguard? Umm excuse me? Poor guy was worried he wasn't doing his job but he was DOING HIS JOB if you know what I mean. That was so hilarious to me because it was so awkward but I mean they argue and bicker at each other so much, it was obviously gonna happen lol. The book was incredible and I really enjoyed it.

This book had me kicking my feet, crying, and laughing!

Tommy is everything. He has a past where is neurodivergence is seen as a weakness or not seen at all. Is family doesn’t understand him and you how that impacts Tommy.

He has ocd traits and needs to have everything in a certain order or needs to check things multiple times. Because of this, people look at him weird and think he’s “off”. Tommy gets embarrassed about it internally, until Danika.

Danika is a sweet and kind person that communicates her feelings through art.

Danika is running away from her father and his side of the family. She ends up living with Tommy and building a connection with him that she can’t explain.

She understands Tommy more than anyone and is dedicated to proof that to him.

The way Tommy is obsessed with the Danika and feels like everything goes quiet in the world around her was amazing to read.

Danika making sure that Tommy feels loved and that the people around him don’t think he’s weak, but just care for him>>>

I do wish there was more intense mafia moments in the book, but the romance itself and the connection that was being built was perfect!
