Willilam klein is one of those great figures in photography/film that goes under the radar - but in fact he's truly and totally fab. Klein also designs all his books, and all of them have strong bold graphics. Collect them now!
His filmmaking is sort of all over the map. His documentaries are superb - the Ali one in particular - and his work that focuses on the fashion world is just uber-groovy. 'Mr. Freedom' is the ultimate late 60's political rant, but done by super cool figures - including Serge Gainsbourg.
And finally Criterion is putting out a box set of his films. Sometime in May!
