The story about two lost souls, finding each other in their sad pathetic lives. Both just living to exist, but not living life like they should. This is a short and sweet story of their love affair. The love that they both deserved, that they never thought they would find.

Demi was living the life she never wanted, living in a house selling their body for mine. Something she never thought she would do. At first she was just an escort for the rich, to be a date to the dateless and it was never sex. Until one day when she was basically given no choice. Selling her body was never something she imagine would do, until she was given no choice.

The day she met Gavin, was suppose to be the first day she was opening her legs for money. Dress as a maid with her duster, she finds herself looking at a very delicious man. Gavin thought his friends were playing a joke on him, but later they find out that she walked into the wrong place. Also introducing herself as Emmy. Instead of letting Emmy walk out, he invited her to a party. He knew by just looking at her shaky frame, that was probably her first day in that kind of business. For some reason he felt connected to her and he wasn’t ready to let her go. He wanted to save her from the life she was living and wanted to protect her with whatever she needed protecting from. That was the night when their love affair began…



Demi ended up staying with Gavin, who gave her his world. After weeks of being together and taking things slow..they fell in love. Gavin as sweet as pie, he didn’t have much to give…but he gave Demi everything he could. Everything was perfect, until Demi found out something that could tear both of them apart. Instead of facing the problem head on and talk to Gavin, she did what she does best…she ran.

This was a nice short read, I enjoyed reading about these two characters. There was no dancing with their feelings, they were both straight forward with their attraction for each other. Especially Gavin, he didn’t hide anything..he wanted her the minute he laid eyes on her. I loved that about him. He also wasn’t made of money, but will do anything for her, no matter what he has to give up. Love love Gavin.

Our girl Demi likes to speak her opinions, "has anyone ever told you that you've got balls the size of this mountain?" She's panting and far too impressed with what just happened." There was one scene that had me laughing at Demi and her interpretations of Gavin's words:
"Perfect. Let's take a quick ride." She glances down at my jeans as if I just asked her to hop on.
"Yeah" - her lips part as she eyes my crotch with heavy lids - "let's do it."
Gavin is every girl's dream he's willing to do anything for his girl, "tell me everything, Demi. I'm ready to slay giants for you, and I can't do that if I don't know what or who I'm up against." I loved Gavin he made this book for me.

This is the second book in this series and on this occasion the story centers around Gavin and Demi. We met Gavin in the first book, but this is our first time meeting Demi.

Demi has had her fair share of knock backs in life - she has lost both her parents and had to deal with an evil stepmom and a thoroughly nasty stepbrother. She's been on the run for the last few years and is barely treading water. She ends up in Loveless out of desperation and accidently bumps into Gavin. I think it's fair to say it was pretty much love at first sight for both of them.

There was a good twist about 40% into this book that I didn't see coming. Love when that happens.

This book has it all by the bucket load - hot romance, steamy sex, angst, torment, drama, betrayal, suspense, intrigue, revenge, pain, and longing.

The writing was superb and I loved both main characters and all the other side characters that made a reappearance in this book. The men in this series ( except Warren Jnr. and Snr.) are totally swoon-worthy - the obligatory movie star knock-out looks mixed with strength, compassion and an all-or-nothing type attitude when it comes to the women they love. Aw, love it! Gavin was willing to give up EVERYTHING for Demi and it was so endearing, but Ace still has my heart. :)

This book lost a star for me in the last quarter. I'm not sure what happened really, but it was almost as if the author ran out of time or steam at the end and just rushed it. There was a really great subplot that was totally glossed over and I felt it should have been fleshed out in greater detail. Then it got a little repetitive with both Demi and Gavin talking about love, fate, how they were brought together etc. over and over again. It had already been said on previous occasions and it was overkill, not necessary. The only other thing I didn't like was how easily Warren appeared to be forgiven for what he did to Reese in the first book. So not cool. This is a serious subject matter and in my opinion it warranted being treated as such.

However, it was still an excellent read and I'm totally hooked on this series now.

I am so blown away with this book! The second installment in the Beautiful Oblivion series... Beautiful Illusions is a MUST READ!! Theres ever emotion you can grasp! There's humor and snark, love, romance, and passion, and twists and turns that had me guessing till the very end which is truly a talent in its own! I loved every last minute but of course Addison blows my mind at every book she writes.
Emmy has had a rough life to say theleast. Her mother died giving birth to her and she lost her father as a teen, so she was forced to live with her step mother and step brother, this kid of reminds me of Cinderella because they where just bad to her. She finally embarks out on her own as adventure of just surviving and doing anything to make sure she can. But she runs into an incredibly HOT guy... Gavin Jackson! Omg how can she resist this guys major HOT here! He's had it rough too but usually he gets what his after. He lost his parents in a car accident leaving him to raise his sister. He works hard to take care of all her needs then he runs into Emmy! Be prepared to have a romance of a life time on this one!
This book immediately sucked me in. I couldn't put it down from the start. I was in love with the charcters because they make you feel such a belonging in there little crowd. The writing just flows through your mind signing to your heart. The love and romance will warm your soul and create desires you thought you haven't seen in a while.

Gavin! Who doesn't want a man like Gavin! He's smart, hardworking, caring & sexy as hell! He's in the right place at the right time to meet Demi.

Yes, Demi is the typical damsel in destress but she's got attitude & spunk! She's caught Gavin's eye from the start & what a head rush it will be when they touch!

I loved this book! It gives you the information that no life is perfect! And, all types of people can be together.

Heartwarming and sexy

What a tale. Whew. Ups. Downs. Murder. Lying. It's the whole gambit of mystery, terror, and very hot sex!

Gavin and Demi share a secret neither of them knows. They are drawn together in a most unusual way and fall for each other hard. Demi is full of lies and contradictions and Gavin wants to protect her.

I enjoyed the story very much and like how all the rough edges and wrongs were righted in the end. Good does prevail in the end.

Wonderful Read

Although the first third of the book was slow, as the story evolved it provided some crucial information to set up the foundation of the last two thirds of the book. It was a heart wrenching story about two people who have been broken and with each other find the will to live life together after being put back together. I cried and rejoiced at the various twists and turns in the book. I highly recommend you read it.

Gavin & Demi

I had read this book once before and stumbled on it and re-read it again. It's a sad story for Demi until she meets Gavin and he gives her the strength to conquer what was rightfully hers, even though she had lost all hope.

I was disappointed that this was more of a heavy drama than a romance. It told about one tragedy after another. I kept hoping it would get lighter since it was depressing me. However it did finally have a happy ending.

All of this set in Loveless with a few previous characters turning up. A stand-alone story that you will get more out of by reading book 1 first.

As with all Addison Moore's books, I really enjoyed the characters, storyline, and writing style. The plot definitely took twists and turns I wasn't expecting and it built the anticipation and kept the pages turning. I'm looking forward to the next trip into Lake Loveless!

Demi (AKA- Emmy) has had a hard life. Her mother died giving birth to her and she lost her father in her teenage years, so she was forced to live with her step mother and step brother, who are just all-around horrible people! When she's finally able to get away from them she finds herself doing anything to survive, including things she never thought she'd have to do! But it's a blessing in disguise when the direction her life is heading lands her on the doorstep of one incredibly HOT guy... Gavin Jackson!
Gavin is sex on legs! He is drop dead gorgeous and can have any woman he wants, and usually does. He's had it pretty tough too. He lost both his parents in a car accident and has been taking care of his little sister, working extra hard so he can put her through college. When this beautiful lady, Emmy, walks into his room unannounced, wearing very little, he instantly thinks it's some kind of a prank. Little does he know, fate brought them together, and he soon realizes she's the best thing that's ever happened to him.
Gavin and Emmy are a lot alike. Both have had their fair share of hook-ups, one a bit more than the other, and they've both had a pretty rough life. Gavin knows Emmy's not being totally honest with him, but he has to let her be and take the time she needs to open up on her own. But will she ever be able to come to terms with the feeling brewing inside her? And what happens when the pieces of the puzzle come crumbling down around them?
This book immediately drew me in. I was in love with the characters from the very beginning. And every time I thought I had it figured out, something happened to throw me for a loop! The twists and turns are amazing! The snark and humor, to die for! The love and romance will warm your soul and set your heart on fire!
Addison Moore nailed it! She wrote this incredible story, and I highly recommend it to anyone and everyone who enjoys a good love story! You will not be disappointed!

Beautiful Illusions

"Beautiful Illusion", by Addison Moore, was a tragic tale of two people who meet each other by happenstance. Gavin and  Demi have so much in common it's scary. Both have experienced personal tragedy by losing both sets of parents. The similarities of their personal stories gets even crazier as you read. They both drown their sorrows in meaningless human contact in order to fill the void of their losses. 

For Demi, I don't think I would have necessarily taken the path that she chose, but everything happens for a reason.  When you read her story you see that it's completely understandable that someone would travel that rocky road that she embarked on. Gavin, chose a similar path to help soothe his inner demons. I loved Gavin's determination to make Demi his woman. His pursuit is something that every girl wants in their life. 

Trust is a major issue in a relationship and without a solid foundation, it's hard to build the rest. Gavin proves himself worthy by all his tender, noble actions. Their connection was far more powerful than any of their meaningless hookups in the past.  As the story progressed I got angry with Demi. I was shouting in my head, " What is wrong with you girl?! He's so amazing." But it was clear Demi's demons were fair greater than even Gavin thought they were. The plot was well written and very unique. I love reading a story that is not predictable. This was definitely one of those stories. 

Addison Moore never fails to create a complete story with well thought out characters. It's amazing that people can experience such tragedy and still come out the winner. Love is a bond that is not easily broken and Gavin and Demi's story proves just that. Get the book and fall into a "Beautiful Illusion."

Gavin and Demi have similar stories. Both lost their parents at a young age. They were both lost, looking for something, someone to fill the hole in their lives. And they both did it with meaningless sex.

“Sex has always been my go-to response.”

One night, fate steps in. When Demi accidentally goes to the wrong place it turns out to be the right place and the start Demi and Gavin. As soon as Gavin sees “Emmy” (Demi), he knows she’s the one.

There really is so much to this story. Of course, there’s love and romance but there’s also the wicked stepmother, evil stepbrother and even murder. Once I started reading this book, I felt like I was on fast forward. And even though there is a lot going on you won’t lose your place. Addison Moore tells a great story.

Having read Beautiful Oblivion, it was good to be back in Loveless. Of course, it was great to see the old gang throughout the story especially Reese and Ace.

And Gavin is such a great character. He is loyal and wears his heart on his sleeve when it comes to Demi. He knew very early on that he was in love with her and that love never faltered.

“I love you, Emmy. I promise I love you enough for the both of us.”

Seriously, who doesn’t LOVE that line?

Demi is more reserved with expressing her feelings at first even though she loves Gavin as much as he loves her. She has had a lot happen to her. It’s when they are a team that they are at their finest! The ending of the book really got me. It was my favorite part…and I’m not giving it away!

When I read the blurb for Beautiful Illusions, I didn't really know what to expect. Once I started reading, I didn't want to put it down. So many things happened that I didn't see coming at all. This is a really beautiful, heart-wrenching story, that left me with tears running down my cheeks, but it also made me smile.

Both Gavin and Demi have heart breaking pasts. They have both lost their parents, and that has really shaped the people they are today. I couldn't imagine going through half of the things Demi has gone through. When Gavin and Demi meet, it is under some interesting circumstances, but because of that chance meeting, they change each other's lives forever.

Will Demi be able to get over her guilt from her past, so she can live in the future with Gavin? Will Gavin be able to handle Demi's secrets when she finally spills her guts? On their road to happiness, there are plenty of roadblocks, will they be able to push past them all?

This book was so good. I thought I loved the first book, Beautiful Oblivion, then I read Beautiful Illusions, and I realized that I loved this one so much more than the last. There was so much emotion and if this book didn't make you feel anything, then go back and make sure this was the book you actually read. I can't wait to get my hands on the next book, which is about Kennedy and Caleb. This was another great read by Addison Moore!

Beautiful Illusions is the second book in a series but is a standalone and a HEA.

Beautiful Illusions by Addison Moore, was a tragic, heartwarming tale of two broken souls wandering aimlessly until fate dropped her on his doorstep.

Demi (Emmy) is running from her past biding her time until she can face her demons head on. Demi tragically lost both her parents and was left with her wicked stepmother and her evil son. So she runs down a path that I myself would never dream of traveling.

Gavin's parents were torn from the lives of him and his sister and he is left holding them both together. He deals with his pain by sleeping with women, having relationships that didn't last not that he wanted them to last... or at least not until Demi.

Demi and Gavin meet by chance when their past collides with their future...even if they don't know it. Demi fights Gavin at every turn. He wants what she does not think she can give him. Gavin eventually breaks through her walls and she starts to let him in.

Cue the OMG moment. Addison hits us with a twist that breaks our hearts. Gavin is left scrambling trying to keep his heart together.

There are so many twists and turns in Beautiful Illusions that you will not be able to put the book down. Addison flawlessly develops characters while interweaving some of our favorite characters from Beautiful Oblivion.

Addison Moore has done it again with the companion to Beautiful Oblivion. This was so good. A different take on a romance between unlikely yet similar characters. The writing style again was perfection!

Gavin is such a cool guy. I enjoyed reading about him.in Beautiful Oblivion so to find out his love story was exciting for me. I think he was swoon worthy for sure. He was sweet, honest and caring to the core.

Demi just pissed me off with her pitty party. I felt bad with how her life was. I mean it was tragic and dark. She didn't make it no better by choosing the path she walked. It made matters worse and her self esteem lower.

The romance was a strange one. They both had issues and more so for Demi she had major trust issues. No matter how sweet Gavin was she still doubted and second guessed herself. Even berated herself.

I love that Ace and Reese appeared a few times in this companion, I totally love them! I hated the idea of yet another Warren being a jerk...I think the Warren's are bad news period.

Character development was superb. Romance was perfect. Storyline dark. In the end this was yet another perfect read for me by Addison Moore.
