Breakfast With A Gangsta 3: An Urban Novel

Rate this book
Haze is a man broken beyond recognition, his spirit shadowed by vengeance. Left for dead after an ambush, he lies low, plotting silently with a dangerous precision. His heart, however, remains locked onto one person—Milan, the woman whose essence consumes him. But Milan now wears a different man's Royce, whose wealth and influence conceal a darker truth.

Behind the illusion of Milan’s perfect life lies turmoil. Each day, she battles the haunting memory of what could have been with Haze. As the illusions crumble around her, every step she takes feels dangerously fragile. Torn between duty and longing, Milan struggles to protect her heart from further devastation.

Meanwhile, Ricky is navigating her independence after leaving Gunna, focusing on her twins and thriving business. But when hidden truths rise painfully to the surface, Ricky finds herself questioning everything. Was leaving Gunna a liberation or a mistake she’ll regret forever?

Some stories are destined to haunt you. As unresolved feelings resurface, every secret, every lie becomes a ticking bomb. Love demands a price—one that must be paid in full.

In this riveting third installment of the gripping street romance, love’s intensity burns deeper, betrayals cut sharper, and loyalties are fiercely tested. The streets remain mercilessly observant, and every move made could be their last.

Because when you test the heart of a true gangsta, the fallout spares no one.

Breakfast With A Gangsta 3—a powerful fusion of African American romance, suspense, and raw emotion that will leave you breathless.

Listen, lmao.
Never have I ever read a book where I couldn't stand almost any of the characters, while still enjoying TF out of the series. This series, with each book, became messier, more drama filled, and less realistic, and yet I still ate it the fuck up. Am I the only one kind of wanting just one more book...? I feel like I love the HEA vibes this last book left us with, but everything was wrapped up super quick and there were still some things I had questions about.

By far, one of my favorite characters was Ricky. I didn't agree with half the shit she did, like going out with Ducati to make Gunna jealous when he and ol girl were literally just working together, but she was the same Ricky the entire series. I loved how she didn't want to quit her job just because a man wanted to take care of her, I loved that when she left the club she decided to open up her own business, and I love how she always thought of her kids first. I was happy with the way the series ended, and she and Gunna had finally decided to give their relationship a try. My only thing with her was, she was constantly yelling to everyone about her sister trying to take her kids back, why did she not spend the money, the effort, on legally adopting them? The entire series, someone was always trying to take those kids and yet she never made any effort to legalize her custody of them, which seemed like the smart thing to do. And we never found out what happened with the Alderman who tried to get custody...? Did the video Rosey was blackmailing him ever come out? Did he drop the custory issue? I wish we got more information about their situation.

Haze and Milan were the second couple, and from the beginning, I never wanted them to be together. Haze was sweating Milan heavy in the beginning, and then like not texting or calling her for days at a time. He was trying to talk to her while he was still out robbing, killing, and running from niggas. He didn't even have his own place when he and Milan first started talking, and he was absolutely reckless with the way he lived so he was not my ideal candidate for her. However, Milan also was a complete bird brain ass bitch. She had no goals, no dreams, no plans for her future. She quit nursing school to work as a bottle girl...! She only had a store because her father gifted it to her, otherwise, she was doing nothing with her time. And she was wishy washy the entire book. One minute she wanted to be with Shawn, and then it was she was so in love with Haze, so much so, that she slept with Shawn anyway, and then was commenting on how fine Rico was. And then gets pregnant and doesn't even know who the father is because she slept with Shawn and Haze both unprotected. She was just all over the place, and when we find out that Haze was also hiding a child from Milan...yea. I felt like they were an absolute toxic couple and although Haze murders his way back to Chicago in the end, I still did not feel too positive about their future together.

One of the things that continued to frustrate me throughout the series was Keesa, and her story and connected to Haze. It didn't make sense to me, that she all of a sudden had all this love in her heart for Haze, so much so that she set him up with a mansion, and gifted him the streets she'd took so long to build, after he'd shotten her twice in the chest, almost killing her, and after he killed her other son, Shawn, and put the other in a coma. For me, Keesa seemed to all of a sudden not give a fuck about her other children when it came to Haze. I found it almost insane how she was so loving, and gentle, and caring with her son, only commenting for him to watch his mouth when speaking to her as if he didn't try to kill her a few weeks ago. Their whole conflict was wrapped up too fast, and even finding out Sarge was alive...so yall left Haze by himself this entire time...? When would yall have ever spilled the beans if he didn't get hooked up with Miles in prison? And I'm sorry, two FBI agents go rogue and the FBI just forgets about them and lets them live their fugitive lives for 20 years without bothering them was extremely unrealistic, as was the fact that Keesa was the daughter of a drug dealer, who joined the FBI to infiltrate, and then goes undercover. Her story continued to stray farther and farther from sense, and I just decided to throw in the towel and pretend she did actually die. She also wasn't even that essential to the story to have her story just drag on like it did.

All in all, a fantastic series. Would def recommended it, especially for those who loved the Delgato family series by Jaquel J. This series is action packed, with lots of death, and mess, and crazy twists like surprise pregnancies, and arranged marriages. I was entertained the entire time, even if it started to make less logical sense as the series went on. I also think what made this series so entertaining was that it kept you on your toes. A character you really liked, will do something that will turn you off to them forever. That character you couldn't stand, well the author is about to deliver an insane twist about that character's past that will put things into perspective for you. I really enjoyed the writing and this series

Must Read!!!!

The plot twist in this book will have you on the edge of your seat from beginning to end. I can honestly say that this Author never disappoint when it comes to penning a story. Keesa redeemed herself in the end. Her not being in Haze life wasn't what he thought it was. There were a lot of secrets, lie's, and betrayal that had her missing a huge part of his life and Detective Burress dizzy ass was the root of it all along with Malik snake ass. Haze slowly started to realize that he needed Keesa help. Especially with getting Milan back from the Cardoza's. I know Milan pregnant ass wanted to slapped tf out of Royce mother. Mrs. Cardoza was a stuck up, self center, delusional broad. When Milan was rescued from the Cardoza's and saw a man leaving her room in a wheelchair after she woke up from delivering her baby. I almost flipped my wig. I had already figured out who he was and was shocked asf. It was too good to be true for Milan and Haze to live a peaceful life. Malik have crawled from whatever rock he was hiding under after selling Milan off to the Cardoza's. Milan shouldn't have trusted nothing that came out of Malik mouth but since that was her father. She went behind Haze back and helped him. Not once but twice. Malik was up to something and poor Milan didn't know her daddy was playing her once again but Haze but a stop to it. Haze should've told Milan the truth about Juju because it happened while she was missing and they weren't together. He shouldn't have never allowed Juju jealous and bitter ass tell Milan. It's funny how Juju kept calling Milan a snake when she was really the snake. When she brought the baby into Haze strip club. I knew then that the hoe lost the better part of her mind. Detective Burress kept lurking around trying to get Haze to turn on his mother. What Haze didn't know at the time was Burress had her own hidden agenda but Haze dgaf because snitching and being a snake wasn't in his blood and he definitely wasn't setting his momma up. I had a feeling Burress was going to use Juju to setup Haze. To be honest. Ricky didn't deserve Gunna. I liked her in book one but after it was revealed how she betrayed Milan. I didn't care for her. I admire her for how she took care of her niece and nephew as if they were her own children because their mother who's Ricky twin sister wasn't worth a damn but Gunna deserved better. The way he chased Ricky even after leaving to accept a offer of his lifetime. He still came back for her. The fact Ricky found it hard to forgive him when she wasn't a damn saint was funny. Ducati still being around definitely had my antenna's up. Although him and Ricky were just friends. It was just something off with him and with the truth came out. I just shook my mfn head because even from jail. Rosy trifling ass was still trying to pull people string's like a damn puppet. After s**t got real and Haze club. Keesa stepped in to help her son. Haze was shocked to learn that a part of his past wasn't dead at all.

This series was EVERYTHING

Whew! What a ride!!! The entire series was an amazing read. It has been a long time since I read a series that was on this level. I couldn’t be happier that Gunna and Rickey got their act together and closed chapters that needed closing. Haze did what he could to help heal Milan heal as she discovered there is healing in forgiveness. In Haze finding out about his father, his lineage and the story about Maroon he was able to find his peace that was a long time coming. This series definitely did not disappoint. Continue delivering amazing stories, Ms Bianca.

Good read

It was a,good read but I'm not understanding how these women did the most, from lying and cheating. Ricky was wrong she play enemy all in her man knowing they didn't get a long and she was the pushing him away. And then Milan she had mess up way to much the not only get mad because she didn't have a title and to go cheat and all the lies she told . it was a good story some mistake .

Speechless

So Milan's dad was an ain't shit ass ninja. When he pretty much sold her to Royce - I knew he wasn't shit. But to turn around and play on her top - talking about you doing bad. His ass would've definitely been doing bad. One of those I love you from afar. I can forgive but I'll never forget!!!!

Baby, this final installment was everything! The relationships were so strained, but their love cor one another never left! Haze & Milan really had their share of hills too climb, but they survived it! Then there's Ricky and Gunna, Ricky irked my nerve, she was just selfish, thankfully Gun a really and truly loved Ricky, beyond her fault! I love the ending!

Love always waivers

Great read, Haze and Gunna was best friends and rode for each other. However they had their own lives that consisted of Milan and Rickki. Rickki was something else and didn’t play about her niece and nephew aka her kids. She and Milan had their share of issues but bounced back. Now that Haze was cold just like his parents and I loved me some him. Great read

Good read!

The amount of emotions that this book brings out of me kinda surprised me. It was an emotional ride I wouldn't mind going on again. I just wish there WA some kind of redemption for rose. Or a lol therapy to get herself together. However, I know everyone don't find it even though therapy.

I absolutely loved this series! Sometimes people need to just count it as a win and move on with life. True love is had to deny and being able to withstand ll the mess and drama.
