I'm a novelist by day and a dreamer by night. My earliest memories involved books and storytelling. I read anything and everything and continue doing so to this day.

I write Romance stories with soul. My heroines are not damsels in distress, but women with gumption and a heart.

From Romantic Suspense to Paranormal and Gothic Romance, I write tales that will leave you breathless and wanting for more.

When I'm not lost in my book world, I'm immersed in a life that brings me joy with those I love more than words can say.

Fool's Errand's wicked cool cover caught my eye, got me thinking that this could be a good read and unfortunately it wasn't that good for me.

It's a quick, easy, fast read, but I have to say that the author, easily could have added more to the storyline, verse rushing the story along, leaving gaps or switching by paragraph between Charlie and Emmy and making it only 61 pages. I get that Grae Lily probably is writing a full length book, breaking it apart into short stories or kindle singles and eventually a full length book.

Emmy Moreno is a Criminology Professor at Nebraska State, she's one of the top and most sought after criminology scholar in the US. While she's likable, she's scared from a previous relationship that led to her coming back to Nebraska and she's still trying to recover from it.

She's a mess, she varies her schedule, never runs the same way twice, even her driving route to College varies, keeps her doors and windows locked, always checks the active in the street.

Yet she leaves late for work, with her dress open, and shoes off into her car and gets to the school were Charlie see her that way. Then Aaron her ex-boyfriend attacks her in the parking garage, yet later after Charlie takes her home, she has sex with him for hours and hours.

To be as traumatized as Lily makes her to be, this contridicts all the precautions she takes and makes me question just how victimized she was.

Unfortunately with a kindle single series, the author has to sell the reader into wanting to continue to read the other parts of the story and unfortunately in this case I won't be.

Gering, NE. Professor Emmy Moreno (Nebraska St., PhD; criminology) lecture was on an American serial killer.
What happened between Detective Aaron Randall & Emmy?
& who is Charlie Matson (Nebraska St., student, rowing team)?

I did not receive any type of compensation for reading & reviewing this romance (novella) book. While I receive free books from publishers & authors, I am under no obligation to write a positive review, only an honest one. All thoughts & opinions are entirely my own.

A very awesome book cover, great font & writing style. A very well written book. It was very easy for me to read/follow from start/finish & never a dull moment. There were no grammar/typo errors, nor any repetitive or out of line sequence sentences. Lots of exciting scenarios, with several twists/turns & a great set of unique characters to keep track of. This could also make another great movie, or better yet a mini TV series. There is no doubt in my mind this is a very easy rating of 5 stars.

Thank you for the free instaFreebie; Author; PDF book

This is a quite amusing little novel, and will be attractive to young readers, say 16-24. It is a short story, too short. The writing is simple; there is no complication of plot, and no depth of description either of characters or of situation.
If you are looking for a true mystery novel, or an interesting police action, or exciting thriller action, you will be disappointed. It is truly a simple, young-reader, school-yard, romantic novel. "Girl sees bold show-off guy. Girl sweeps past, nose in air. Guy chases her and saves her from discarded old boyfriend. Girl now likes guy. The End."
All depth of description is entirely absent; he has big muscles, she is beautiful, she 'hates' him, he saves her from attack by mad boyfriend, she now 'loves' him, she is again attacked by mad old boyfriend, she is saved again, mad boyfriend is arrested, she loves her boyfriend, end of story.
Another half dozen "Marked As Prey" books are highly unlikely to improve both the simplicity or the prose of the writing. However I do admire her effort in having her books published and sold.

This book was given to me by the Author for an honest review. I kinda like the storyline but I think the author's way of writing is quite too fast. You're reading about Charlie's and then will be confused coz the next paragraph is Emmy's.

*I was provided a copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review. * This is my first encounter with author Grae Lily, and I can say whole heartedly, it won't be my last. I found Emmy to be quite interesting in how she minimizes her beauty. She is a bit snarky with her friends, colleagues and men in general. We know straight off there has been a traumatic event in her past, we just don't know what or with whom it involved. Don't get me wrong Emmy is an strong independent woman and even after several encounters with a sexy contractor (Charlie) she still shows strong outer shell. We watch and learn more about her past and where she is headed. I found all of Ms. Lily's characters to be very well rounded. Looking forward to reading the next in this series. 4.5/5 stars.

Kept me on the edge of my seat!

A friend bought this book for me, she said she loved it. While not my usual type, I figured, why not, as I've been reading books outside my safety zone. LOL I enjoyed this as it started in almost immediately. I like the characters and the storyline seems to be a good one, but I did feel the ending was a bit rushed. It is part of a five part serial, which I honestly didn't realize when I started it, or I'm not sure I would have read it. While I'm not a big fan of serials, at least all of these should be out within a month's time, so that isn't bad at all. I've already bought book two, and keep looking for book three as today is suppose to be release day. Let's hope the other four parts are as good as this one was.

I was gifted this book in exchange for an honest review.

Fool's Errand was my first book by Grae Lily, I found this to be a very interesting book. Lily character development is good and I loved Emmy. I really like reading about strong, independent women. Women that even though something might have happen in their past, they can still be strong.

I really think this is a good start to what seems to be a very interesting series. Emmy had a snark about her but she had her reasons for that. Sometimes, we act a little different in order to protect ourselves. I'm sure I would be the same way.

I give Fool's Errand 3.5/5 stars

I really enjoyed this book. I really thought Emmy was a real bitch at first, the way she treated Charlie, but I soon discovered that she had been in a very torrid relationship with an insidious man beast Aaron, who still stalked her, which caused her to act the way she did.

The book started off good. I liked the characters and the story line, but then it got too spicy for me and I stopped reading the book and deleted it off of my device.
