If you love alpha males, emotional intensity, and a romance that grabs you from page one, Wild Card by Ahren Sanders is a book you need to read.
I couldn’t put this one down. Talon and Willow’s instant connection is everything—fiery, intense, and impossible to ignore. Talon is the kind of hero you fall for hard: a Marine and cop who’s fiercely protective, determined, and refuses to take no for an answer when it comes to Willow. He’s persistent in the best way, and watching him slowly break through her guarded heart made me love him even more.
Willow is strong, independent, and emotionally scarred, but the way Talon sees her—really sees her—makes their story incredibly powerful. Their love isn’t perfect, but it’s real and raw, and the chemistry between them is off the charts.
This book has everything: passion, emotion, humor, and just the right amount of suspense. It’s a love story about two people who are meant to find each other, no matter the obstacles. If you’re into military/cop romances with heart, heat, and an unforgettable hero, Wild Card should be at the top of your TBR. I highly recommend it!

I have enjoyed the Men of Action series and Talon and Willow were the perfect couple to end the series. If you are looking for a new book boyfriend that exudes BDE then Talon Simms is your man, former Marine and now police officer near Nashville. Once Talon falls for Willow, he falls hard and fast.
Willow is at a bar getting hit on by a drunk guy, when her best friend recruits a handsome stranger to help her out. Talon and Willow go their separate ways after sharing a life altering kiss, thinking they won’t see each other again. Then Talon walks into his physical therapy appointment and runs into the girl from the bar, and is ready to make his move. From that moment on, Talon and Willow have a whirlwind romance, filled with family drama, lots of new found family, some suspense, laughter, plenty of spice, and an overprotective alpha hero who will stop at nothing to get the girl. I loved watching Talon and Willow get their much deserved HEA.

This was a great conclusion for the “Casanova Club”! Talon was full stop gone for Willow and it was an absolute blast to read. I will definitely enjoy reading the entire series back to back in the future when I want to revisit the “Casanova Club”! I hope we get to see Max and the others meet their matches! Please, please, please!! 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

What an amazing read! It will draw you in from the start, turning the pages and glued to your seat with the right amount of suspense. I absolutely loved the characters, the witty banter and the off the charts chemistry. It’s a sweet and delightful read that will leave you smiling at the end.

This is a perfect couple to end this series. Talon and Willow... what can I say! I absolutely LOVE these two! This is my favorite book of the series. Talon is an over the top Alpha male, risk taker and Willow not so much she's pretty cautious. Immediate HEAT! But Willow takes awhile to accept it where Talon goes right for what he wants... and that is Willow. Once she accepts how she feels oh boy,no holding them back. If you've read every one of Ahren's books like I have you'll LOVE the characters that show up again in this book. I hated to see this series end. Thank you Ahren for another amazing story!

Then she starts getting hassled by a guy who can't take a hint. Thank God her friend had the wild idea to ask a gorgeous guy at the bar help her out by pretending to be her boyfriend. Not only did he do that, but he laid the hottest kiss of her life on her...then she ran out!
Ever since the beautiful girl at the bar needed Talon's help, and he gave her the best kiss of his life, he's been unable to get her off his mind. She doesn't know it, but he's going to claim her. When the men of the Casanova Club find their one, nothing stands in their way. Willow better brace herself, because Talon's coming for her...
Talon is pure alpha possessive protector and Willow is pure sass with a heart of gold. Sparks flew from their first meeting, and I could feel Talon falling on the spot. I love how far Willow's denial goes, even when it's obvious she doesn't stand a chance of not falling for him. At times, he was a bit much, and she always sassed back, which I loved, but in her heart she knew it was because he would do anything for her, protect her, love her. I loved every word of snarky banter, delicious and naughty scenes, and the way they fell so hard for each other. These Men of Action are a crew of stubborn, protective and ultimately, loving guys - I'm going to miss them!

Talon and Willow are my new favourite re-read!
WILD CARD from Author Ahren Sanders is my new favourite re-read! The romance, the chemistry, the OTT alpha protector, the best in secondary characters and the witty banter between our couple and their circle of friends all combined to not only make this one of my top 2025 reads, but a favourite re-read as well.
The intense romantic chemistry hit the moment Talon's eyes met a pair of green ones across a crowded blue bar and his heart stilled. Hell's teeth, even my own heart stilled and let me tell you, that first kiss moment even stunted my breathing. It's one of my favourite moments in any romance book, and Ms Sanders nailed it.
And that was just in the Prologue.
While it is an absolute stand-a-lone, Talon Simms was the last of his friends to find love, and WILD CARD is the fourth book in the interconnected Men Of Action series. These men are all over-protective alphas who adore their women and treat them like queens. They know they want and go after it with a single-minded determination that made them successful in their former military careers and in pursuing their love interests. Talon was on a hiding to none in his pursuit of Willow due to the lady's extreme aversion to risk and risk-takers, and in her mind, a cop and his supposed personality type was the riskiest of all!
He was loyal, generous, caring, protective and genuinely interested in Willow and everything about her, something she'd not found in her limited relationship experience. He adored her dog, and entertained her nephew. He managed to find himself amid her family drama and found the approval of her brother and grandparents. The man could do no wrong, except that he was still a cop. Above all, he put her first, something not even her parents had achieved when her sister had done her wrong over the course of their lives before committing the ultimate betrayal. Stealing her boyfriend then moving to marry him.
The only people who had truly loved her unconditionally had been her grandparents, her brother and her best friend, Bex.
Even though the tension, romantic and otherwise was ramped on high, Ms Sanders injected so many heart-warming moments in the form of twin babies and a gorgeous nephew of Willow's named Wyatt, that my tears when they came, were an emotional release.
And can I just say that those tears very quickly dried up into snort laughs during the scene of Wyatt's baseball try-outs. Willow's nephew had inherited a band of uncles, complements of Talon's best friends, those in the Men Of Action series, who showed up to offer their support. Nothing is simple with these guys, and everything was over-the-top support 😭🤣
WILD CARD was also so much more than a singular romance story. It's about realising the need for inner strength and resilience while learning to lean on the offered support of best friends and family. It's about understanding the consequences of personal choices and the gift of forgiveness. I also mentioned the best in secondary characters and was rapt to have observed another romance come to fruition. The entire book was beautifully written.
Seriously, Author Ahren Sanders is an underrated author and I can't recommend her books highly enough. Yep, one of my main heart-lifting re-reads is an early book written by Ms Sanders, but now I can honestly say that WILD CARD has joined that list. It’s a 5-heavy-on-the-alpha-protectore-romance-Star re-read❤️🖤✰

This is the story of Talon and Willow. Oh what a story it is too. These two have a instant connection that I was living for. These two have some serious chemistry that is passionate and at times down right intense. Talon is a former marine who is now a police officer. He is fiercely protective, takes his job very seriously and he is very determined. Willow is a girl who is emotionally scared. She has been though some things that have left her that way. She is independent and really guarded as far as her heart is concerned. I don't want to tell you too much about the story. I think it is such a beautiful story that you don't need me ruining anything for you. I thought these two were perfect for each other. I loved how Talon was patient with Willow and broke through her walls. He was super protective of her and I loved the way he loved her. They are perfect for each other in every way. I loved this book had a bit of suspense to it but it wasn't the main thing of the book. Their love story is. It is funny and passionate and down right one of those books that you close with a big smile on your face and you just know you won't be forgetting these character's or their story anytime soon.

The Casanova Club is back, and it is fabulous! It’s Talon’s turn to fall and he does it with all the heart stopping sexiness, ultra possessiveness, and over the top protectiveness that this group of guys is known for, a heat level of extra spicy with a side of can’t keep his hands to himself, swoon so sweet you melt from the inside out, and all the heroics of an ex-marine that loves hard and will sacrifice anything to keep his girl and his friends safe. The way Talon and Willow meet is pricelessly fantastic, the lengths he goes to to get Willow to give him a chance are borderline stalker perfect and all kinds of charming, the certainty that she’s it for him and speed that he goes from date me to slapping a mine stamp on her, moving her in and planning happily ever after is so freaking good and all the right kinds of he falls first, and swear as overbearing and grating as his brand of protectiveness is it just does something to you and most definitely for you. It’s smart, it walks the perfect line between hilarity, heat, and drama, and it steals your heart and wins you over again and again with every single page in a binge read that is equal parts thrilling and insanely satisfying.

Book four of the Men of Action series...took me out. Each book had me more invested in each Casanovas story and the women who brought them to their knees.
Talon Simms was the last to fall for his mystery woman and fall he did for the girl from the bar. But when he needed PT she was in the right place to help him rehab an old injury.
Willow Richards, I love her. She is a spit fire and sassy as can be. She doesn't put up with Talon and his crap and learns to stand up for herself. The girls that rally around her gives her a girl squad that she always dreamed of. Learning to tackle him things on her own and build new relationships was incredible to read through.
If you love these, you will adore this series from Ahren Sanders --

I have been waiting for Talon's story for forever! I'm so happy he finally got his HEA. But I have to admit as fabulous as this story was I felt like the ending dragged. It could have been a bit shorter.
I love the macho caveman Talon is. He fits right in there with the rest of his brothers. I have definitely missed these arrogant men and their extra fabulous women.
Willow was great but she was a little to oblivious for my liking and way to mellow dramatic. She took her emotions to the extreme. Her ex was annoying and I'm glad her sister got what she deserved.
I'm so happy to finally have this book in my hands. The Casanova club is finally settled and happy. I love it!

Firstly make sure you start this book earlier in the day as it isn't a short book and you really don't want to put it down and you could end up till 3am like me lol

Seeing things not only grown between Willow and Talon, but also Willow growing within herself and come out stronger and confident in standing up for herself had me clapping with joy!

Talon is the last of his group to find his forever love. He falls first and falls hard. Willow is cautious, overly so, after dealing with a cheating ex, among other things. There is plenty of action, steaminess and family drama. Plus guest appearances from past stories and other series.
The story is good, I liked it. Their meet cute was different, the middle a bit muddled and way too long. The end wrapped it up nicely.
3.5 stars overall.

Absolutely Live this Series!!
I have been a huge fan of the series since book one. I always look forward to the fact that you get to fall along with all the characters that you’ve grown to love through this series and the other books that connect with to this group of friends!! I can’t wait to read the next book. I have never been disappointed and always left excited for the next book!! The guys are swoon worthy and I love the sassy women!

Love the Casanova Club!! It has been fun watching them all turn tame. Talon and Willow were fun to read. And let’s not forget the bestie who causes it all😂. Every woman needs a best friend to help her out like this. I loved watching Talon tear down Willow’s walls and worm himself inside. A great book!!

I really like Ahren’s story telling of these men!
Love how all the men in this series are overbearing and protective of their family, friends and their women!
Talon and Willow are drama but love everything about each other and Willow tried to protect her heart and Talon just kept showing up and being there for her every step of the way!

Love Men of Action Series
Great conclusion to Men of Action Series! Talon did not disappoint and his book was definitely a great way to complete the series! He is strong, contolling in the best way and stoic in his love for Willow and his family! Love all the intertwined storylines and characters!!

5 STARS FOR WILD CARD!! Talon and Willow gave me everything and it was all perfection. I am so in love the Talon and Willow was just as good. It is hard to read and book and love both characters. This author is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors.
