Alexandria Hamilton and Nikolaj Balakov. It was fun to write out the lives of these two characters and their friends and family. The character that I enjoyed writing of the most was Isabella Santiago, or better known as Bella. She is outspoken and not afraid of speaking her mind.
She keeps it 100 and doesn't hold back the truth from anybody in need of a proper read. LOL.
Alexandria is a plus size woman who is a nurse at Miami General who is dedicated to her job and lacks a social life. She doesn't mind, she loves her job and cares about her patients. As long as she has the Syfy channel and her Kindle, she's good. When her health is jeopardized, she makes lifestyle changes and joins a gym, Feel The Burn, a popular gym in Miami that's owned by Nikolaj, aka Nico. Nico is also a personal trainer and through various circumstance, he becomes her trainer.
Things heat up when Nico comes to Alexandria's rescue pretending to be her fiancé when her mother insinuates she'd find a man if she'd just lose weight. Things get interesting when a night of drinking gets out of control and leads to a monster hangover and wild antics. What happens in Vegas doesn't always stay in Vegas.
What's worst, Alexandria doesn't remember anything from the wild night. Nico remembers everything and develops feelings for her.
But he's not even in the friend zone. Alexandria wants to keep their relationship as trainer/trainee. But that's not enough for Nico. Alexandria's ex-boyfriend wants her back and is willing to do anything to get her back. He's willing to make himself look like a fool to get her back. He's not happy that she's moved on with her life and has a new man.
Things get tricky when the fake engagement leads to complications and family drama. Can they keep up the charade with Alexandria's ex attempts at a reconciliation, her mother putting pressure on them to set a wedding date and a friendship that sours from jealousy? Nico wants to make their relationship real and he's determined for Alexandria to see that they are good together. Will they have a happy ending
or remain friends?

I love this book
Omg where do I start. Wonderful magnificent funny. Bella is hilarious big glass of get ya life and sip slowly. I could not stop laughing. I love Nico and Alexandria. Please buy this book. You will not be disappointed.

Good
The story was good, but it didn't finish, some things. What happened with the Ex or Rita's trifling behind, did her mom move their? Some unanswered questions. All in all a sweet romance.

Good
This had a good storyline. I liked the characters, Bella was funny as heck. The story lost is push once she finds out her surprise. A little long winded after that. I will read another work my this author.

I always enjoy books by this author and this one was no different. I feel like I was drawn into Alexandria and Nico's relationship and I'm happy that everything worked out

Another great story by author Lauryn A. King.
This story was really good, we have our heroine Alexandria Hamilton whose fiance broke up with her because he felt she spent more time at her job, she's a nurse and he is a doctor than with him. According to him the hospital was more important to her, so after what appeared as a romantic dinner, he informs her that the relationship isn't working for him anymore and wishes her the best of luck in her life. After this crushing blow and having to deal with an aggravating mother, she makes the decision to do better for her and concentrate on self. Alexandria is a wonderful nurse who cares deeply for her patients and one said patient, Vladimar Balakov aka Papa was in her ward recovering from replacement hip surgery. Papa loved her and called her his angel, his grandson Nico comes to visit with him and listens while his grandpa goes on and on about his Angel, technically he thought it was the medications until he sees her come to see his grandfather and finally understood why she is called an Angel.
The hero Nikolaj Balakov is Bulgarian, who owns a gym, several businesses and properties. He loves his grandpa to pieces and was a wreck to learn that he hurt himself on the golf course and while visiting with him in the hospital Niko glimpses the Angel that his grandpa just can't stop raving about. The speak but he watches how she interacts with Papa and how he does everything Angel says to do without fuss nor fight but with him he blocked every step of the way. As she bids her goodnight because her shift is over, Niko is quite intrigued by her. Little did they both know they were going to see each other really soon.
PCOS - Polycystic Ovary Syndrome is an hormonal endocrine disorder, which explained why when she lost the first 50 pounds she couldn't seem to lose anymore. So once she joined a gym and got a trainer she was determined to take the rest of the weight off. At the gym her first trainer could no longer take her on so the owner of the gym took her as his client and it was Niko. He was happy and she was surprised, Niko had not only a plan to help her take off the rest of the weight and get her on the track of becoming healthier, his plan was to get with Alexandria aka Legs whom he effectionately named.
So enter there unusual courtship, crazy friends, irritating mother who can't seem to keep her trap shut or opinions to herself, old lady golfing brigade, the irritating ex who is desperately trying to get back with Alexandria and Papa who is willing to make sure that his Angel winds up with his Niko. I can tell you about the LOL moments, the sexiness of Nico and Alexandria, the hot and amazing sex, the great storyline and an all in all great read. It has everything your looking for in an amazing book and you won't regret buying it. This is my third story by author Lauryn A. King and I am eagerly awaiting her next releasse.

To be fair I would actually give this book about a 3.8
This book was definitely enjoyable. I really liked Alexandria and Nikolaj's relationship. I always like to read about a fellow BBW and I also liked that she was a strong minded heroine. The plot was well written and the couple was cute together. The only real issue I had, was with her friend Isabella...she was just...too much. Like all the time. That girl was on 1000 every time she opened her mouth. The interactions between Isabella and Alexandria were fine...but it didn't take much to get Bella to pop off...anywhere and everywhere. And while I know it's probably just my own personal preference in personality...I actually found myself skipping the parts where she was "reading" all these other people, which was a shame since I enjoyed the rest of the book a lot.

Good read
I liked this story because the female lead was a bbw but wanted to lose weight for herself. For once I didn't have to read about an insecure woman. Plus she was educated and had a real back breaking job. I look forward to reading more by this author. I enjoyed the entire story but I loved the dialogue. I mean the ladies had degrees like me and my friends but let the hood come out when needed. Like me and my friends. The characters were relatable because the author was current with her pop culture and boy could the women "read" each other. Loved it

This book...really needed an EDITOR
I had to check to see if I owned any of the authors previous material, and I noticed she is new, and first I liked to say the writer has definite potential, and she is really gifted, she quotes from rap songs, movies etc, and if I tried I could mimic who each character reminds her of, lots of errors, the book was repetitive, over and over repeat wording, I was generous giving the book a three, like I said the potential is there, but the errors were mighty big delay in finishing the book!

A Very Sweet And Sensual Romance novel
Feel The Burn is a very sweet and sensual interracial romance novel that earned a five star rating. This Is a very good Romance novel and I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys reading good romance novels. I found it to be very informative about PCOS, the diagnosis Alexandria was given, that cause the excessive weight gain and possible infertility.ok

I would have given this book 4 stars if it didn't have so many mistakes with the characters names. At times the author forgot the the h's name, the H's name, the 2 best friends names, the h's mother's name, the H's grandfather's, the grandfather's friends names. Other then that that there were also some other minor editing issues. It was still a good read.

Great Read
This is a really good book and I did not want Alexandria and Nico's story to end.
This is a lazy Saturday or beach day read because once you start you will not want to stop until you have devoured the entire story to the end.

I loved the story but....
I wish the editing would have been better. Parts of the story was missing and every few pages paragraphs and even pages would repeat

This story started out slow then it got better by the 3rd or 4th chapter. Towards the end it got slow again. I can't say I would recommend this book.
