The greatest honour for a young boy is to be chosen as the high priest's apprentice in the temple of Ora. When Sebastian is selected, everyone is shocked - not least Sebastian himself. For you couldn't imagine a more unlikely candidate. Sebastian warms to his duties when he realizes that his new position gives him power. He can order as many cream cakes as he likes, and he turns the offering ceremony into a glitzy extravaganza. But Sebastian keeps having lucky escapes - he narrowly misses explosions and heavy objects falling on his head. Could there be a plot to get rid of him? Things get more sinister when Sebastian realizes he is up against the most powerful mob in the city. Undaunted, he and his pet rat, Gerald, go on a mission to foil the gangsters' plans . . . risking life and whisker.

I have finished reading it, and I rate it 4/5. The middle to the end was very interesting but the beginning was dull. It was long but worth it. I recommend this book, but maybe not all of you will like it.

I really enjoyed there isn't much to highlight about it. It was just a book where every page you turned you always had something to think about would reccomend

I got this from Jill at the Bologna Book Fair as well, but this definitely wasn't as good as the previous one she gave me, unfortunately. The book is a curious imitation of Peter Pan, but nowhere near as good. The story read like a novel written by a housewife with nothing better to do - it's not that it's really bad, it was just poor quality. The plot was silly, the novel boring, the universe unbelievable and weird. I cannot understand that OUP agreed to publish this! Or that the author has had three books published already. I didn't enjoy it, and I wouldn't recommend it.

I got this in a bookfair in my school hoping that it would be great. I was disappointed when i finished it because I really didn't enjoy it. I found it very boring and I didn't want to finish it but did anyway. Before I got it I read the blurb it sounded very good but it was nothing near to that.It wan't the worst book I ever read but it sounded good, which it wasn't, so that really let me down. I rate this book 1/5 and i sadly do not recommend it.
