The Freaks MC #1

A Family Man

Rate this book
Joe 'Tiny' Taylor is a big man with a big heart, he's also the hit man and enforcer for The Freaks MC. He's all about family, whether it's his brothers in the club or the women at home, Joe takes care of them all. But that's where it gets complicated. Between his crazy ex Maria, her younger sister Beth and his mother, there's more to negotiate than in the deepest workings of the outlaw life. But there's one shining light that always holds true for him, his North Star, the one that keeps the darkness at bay. Amy, Maria's young daughter.
It's a delicate balancing act, and it's down to Joe to keep it all together, but someone threw away the manual.
This is not a romance. This is a book about love in all it's forms.

I live in Devon. I'd like to say that I write by the sea, but this is Britain and its usually much too chilly. Plus, I prefer to be nearer to my kettle and the tea bags. I don't have any pets, only a son to keep fed and watered. I spend too much time in my imaginary worlds to keep a goldfish alive.
When I'm not writing, I enjoy long walks along the beach or across the moors, and I have been known to ride on the back of a motorcycle on occasion.
I'm pretty new to this whole writing thing, and still feel a little too embarrassed to call myself a writer. Luckily my muse doesn't care what I call myself and insists I write every day.
I don't write romance, but I do write love stories. I don't obey the rules, because I don't know what they are, and I don't guarantee a happy ending – just an ending.

5 "In the arms of his family." Stars

My road trip around the MC's created by the author of the Freak Circle Press is going extremely well. Each book proves to be different breaking barriers of cliche's in romance books. The journey's written by these amazing authors are rides I'm glad I signed up to read.

Sarah Osborne wrote a powerfully emotional book. To me, A Family Man reads as an atypical romance even in the MC sub-genre. This story is about a man, Joe "Tiny" Taylor, and his loyalties to his club and the non-traditional family he's created. Over the span of many years we see Joe love, lose, and remain loyal to several different women in his life. Relationships spanning from sexual to platonic, Sarah Osborne wraps us tightly in the safety net of Joe Taylor through her writing and structure of the story.

Aspects of A Family Man may anger you. The story by no means is an easy one to read. But it's those FEELS, those natural EMOTIONS, that make these stories so real and so damn good. Highlighting the perfectly imperfect flaws of human nature. The depths misery can take us and the heights to which peace can bring. This is layered and dark at times with the characters acting in ways, especially Joe, you may not agree with at all. He makes tough choices some right, some wrong. This is a man who knows who he is within his club, within his own skin. He's a man who loves fiercely those close enough to be let in, a man who will protect those with all he has. Coping with the dangers of the club and what he wants from his family was an emotional journey for me as a reader. But through it all the message of the story and of this man are as strong as he, just as bold and fierce and loyal as he and, in my opinion, of what the authors of the FCP represent in their writing.

A Family Man portrays a reality for a group of people intersecting in Joe Taylor's life. I met great characters, witnessed strong relationships and believed in each and every one of them. Joe's relationship with his love, Amy Miller, especially brought me to my knees - TO MY KNEES. His relationships with his Freak Brothers and his family. His one true love. They all give us insight into the once nomad enforcer. His dark and light shine through and it's awesome to read - heart wrenching/heart pounding/heart soaring.

There's a lot to walk away with from this story, a lot to cherish, and a lot to absorb. Sarah Osborne does a great job of allowing the reader to do all of those things while being invested in her characters.

Another stop marked off on my Freak Circle Press MC tour. I can't wait to continue the series with the next book showcasing the Samson, whom I adored in A Family Man.

Another stop on my FCP tour with my biker babe for life, Irene!

Trust me when I tell you that from the moment you open this book you'll be sucked into The Freaks MC's world and by the time you finish you will be ready to be patched in as their property for life,It's that good!!!

Joe "Tiny" Taylor is a total badass, he's the nomad enforcer for The Freaks MC, he lives for the open road, his brothers and his family. He's been in love with the same woman since he was just a teenager but his relationship with Maria has always been toxic and they are usually more off than on. In one of those off times she went and got pregnant by another man but from the moment Joe held that little girl in his arms; baby Amy owned his heart and he claimed her as his own. Joe struggles trying to take care of his elderly mother and Amy, his loyalty to the club is a big part of who he is but his job, takes him away often.

Maria loves Joe but she loves to party more, she keeps messing up things with Joe because in the end she knows she can always reel him back into her bed. Maria is bad mother who is constantly leaving Amy to go party and always relying on her sister Beth to clean up her messed up life.

Between Joe and Beth they make sure that Amy has the best of what life can offer and the love they both share for this child is what will bring them together. Beth has been in love with Joe her whole life and she suffers when she sees how badly her sister Maria treats him and she can't understand why Joe keeps going back to her.

Joe will find himself at crossroads between Maria and Beth, he is struggling with the strong feelings he is developing for Beth, because she's become the calm inside the storm of his life, she represents the safe haven, but Joe wouldn't be Joe if didn't like some chaos.

This story is told from multiple POV's, which I loved because we get to be inside all the characters thoughts and this made me connect with the story at a deeper level. Sarah Osborne's writing is addicting, she owned every single one of my feelings with this story, I couldn't think about anything else, eat, sleep, all I did for two days was obsessed about Joe Taylor, his women and his Club.

This first book on this explosive series was absolute perfection...

Enjoyed this emotional story immensely!

Do not go into this book if you are after lots of meaningless biker sex and all kinds of MC clichés.

If you are, however, in the mood for an emotional journey that spans over almost 15 years, lots of feels, flawed individuals trying to do good by those they love and second chances you'll love this book.

Cheers!

P.S. I would suggest you read book 2, Sanctuary, immediately following this in order to get the full picture/story of this couple.

I don't even know how to explain this jammed packed with drama biker book!! I am serious, this book is unlike anything I have ever read before, and "the feels" that it gave me was nothing short of intense..Like, intense is a severe understatement!!!! This book held me riveted to the pages, yes, there were a few times it dragged a bit, but then it would suck me right back into the story again. Why it wasn't a five star read for me was mainly the style of the writing. Please don't get me wrong, I think that Sarah Osborne as an author who is extremely talented. It is just that this book was written in a way that I have never encountered it before. I will try to explain, although it is very hard to put into words. Basically, the events in the story are many, but the storyline moves at such a rapid pace that each event doesn't have a huge description of the characters feelings, and a description of the surroundings etc...When we read a story, all of the details are described very clearly and it takes more than a few pages to do it. With this one, we get a glimpse of what is going on, and what the characters are experiencing, and then it's over and done with..and onto the next crisis!! (hope that makes sense!!) In saying all of that though, I still enjoyed this book immensely. It left me gutted in places, it left me angry, honestly, it wasn't a feel good read! It was honest to the point of brutal at times, and it depicted the MC lifestyle very realistically.

Don't expect a romance book, with a ton of hard core sex; and a hero that you will fall in love with. I can promise you that Joe "Tiny" Taylor (enforcer/hit man for the club) is an asshole, and he makes no excuses for it...in fact; he knows that he is a jerk, and has a dark, cold heart. The one person who is able to bring a spark of light to Joe is his ex's daughter Amy...She brings the humanity out in Joe, and keeps him somewhat grounded into being a little bit civilized! Even with Joe being such a hard man to love though, his love and loyalty to his family is what made me forgive him for his transgressions. I kid you not, this man loves his family...and not all of his family is blood...he's there for his brother's in the club too! He is unlike any hero I have ever come across before, and quite frankly I don't think I ever will again. There are various POV's in this story, so I got a taste of each person that was introduced, but the main character's are Joe, Amy, Maria, Beth, and Joe's mama.

There is a huge storyline with a ton of stuff going on, and I wouldn't want to leak any details. If you are a reader that has a love for the MC books, then I highly recommend this one. Just please realize that this is not a flowery read.. It is raw, and it is extremely unique. I can promise you this is unlike anything you have ever read before. I am very greatful to my Buddy read partner; Steph...I probably wouldn't have picked this book up on my own. Seeing as I had her to cry on her shoulder...I went ahead and read it!! I am so glad that I did. It is a book I won't EVER forget. Considering the amount that I read that is saying a lot! There is book two and three that are out now, and I am for sure moving on to book two immediately. Apparently this one is about the President of the club...Samson. I can't wait to see what else is going to go down for The Freak's!!! (Yes, that is the club's name!!)

Thank you Steph for another brilliant Buddy Read..We are still on a roll! I don't think this book would have been the same without you. I was glad to have you so that I could share my anger and tears with!xoxoxox

description

I had to wait a while before writing this review to process the journey this book took me through. I hated loving this book. It might be the worst biker romance novel ever. This is biker literature, a new subgenre of its very own. Throw away your expectations for how a biker romance should progress. Well maybe not all because there is sex, and some relationship drama. It's just not the main focus of the storyline really. This book is about family. The twisted, dysfunctional bonds created from our own special brand of crazy. In Joe's case, he is torn between The Freaks MC and his purposely separated home life.

As the enforcer for the club, Joe is scariest biker in their world. At home he's the hero of a little girl, knight to her mother’s damsel, the crush of her little sister, and the dutiful son of his mother. It speaks to the writer's craft that all this pulls into such believable characters. Everyone is convincingly flawed.

Despite me never really believing in the viability of the "couple" in this book, I planned on giving this an automatic 5 stars just for being so different. Beth just never worked for me. She is supposed to be this angel, but it's never sold to me. Beth only looks good compared to the sister. By herself, all her shadiness is evident, and apparent. Consolation prize is so right. That was until almost the end, and it pissed me off so much. I'm still torn between that last star or not... In the end originality wins the day over sentiment.

A Family Man is a surprising and refreshing story.
Slightly different from our usual biker book where promiscuity takes place inside Clubhouses giving us lots of smut from it. As a result it’s low in steam. But it doesn’t really matter because the story line is solid and as real as they come.

A Family Man is told in the 3rd person which I don’t particularly like. However, somehow it worked brilliantly here. I loved the author’s voice, a brilliant story teller.
On top of that the author gives not only a dual POV but POVs from secondary characters and I absolutely loved that. Despite them being short the impact was one of a great kick. It enhanced and brought so much life to the story!

The title gives away the story. Despite being an outlaw Joe 'Tiny' Taylor is a man of honour. He takes care of his family, of his brothers and his Club. He is extremely loyal and protective to the ones he loves.

Don’t take me wrong. He is as bad ass as they get, in fact he is the one who deals with the dirtiest part of the job for his Club. What keeps him grounded in this violent life of his is a little girl called Amy.

A Family Man is an intense book and against all the odds: low in steam, 3rd person and length (I hate long books) turned out as a winner.

I am disappointed with the end though. Joe was such a great man but he changed and I didn’t like the person Joe became. Life changed Joe. But life also gave him something back and I felt it as an attempt to bring the old Joe back. It’s a shame that I didn’t believe he could become the old Joe again.

Thoughtful, melancholic and a bit sad is the way I am feeling right now.
Without a doubt, a thought-provoking story.

**Thank you Silvia for the recommending it to me <3

First I want to mention that the blurb does not do this book justice!
I wasn't sure what to expect, but I am so glad I finally picked it up and read it. Once I started I couldn't stop everything else in my life was placed on hold yesterday.

Have you ever gone to an art show or to the museum and so a piece that was so different from everything else that it had all these feelings ready to combust out of you? No, well neither have I but I figured that is how I feel about this book.

The writing style itself set it apart from so many other MC books but not only that I loved, loved, loved the multiple POV. It didn't just focus on the main characters, it focused on the parent, the best friend, the enemy, the random person that you will never hear about again, and I devoured it.

Another thing, I didn't like Joe, I didn't like him for the first 98% of the book. Yes, he was a great guy to an certain extent. He took care of Amy even though she was the product of his girlfriend cheating on him with another man, he still loved her and considered her his own. He took her care of her mother, financially he helped a lot of people out. So what's not to like, right? Unfortunately I just didn't. I thought him and M were a tragic wreck and he kept coming back and hurt so many people by doing that.
Beth, I liked her but didn't love her. I couldn't understand the hold Joe had on her, her faith and patience with him. It might be because I have never loved anyone for over twenty years? He has seen through her, and acted as she was the sister her never had, I can't imagine putting my heart out there like that and to wait and wait to finally be noticed.

This book, this master piece had me crying, laughing, choking up it's beautiful and raw and so worth reading!

Sarah Osborne is a friend and fellow writer in the Freak Circle Press.

Joe Taylor is not a man who loves easily, but when he does, he loves hard and true. A Family Man is not a traditional love story, with one woman Joe falls in love with from the start and stays with forever. It takes him a while to see that that kind of love, healthy and real, is right before his eyes. When he sees it, though, it's beautiful.

This is the story of Joe's struggle to love and be true to both of his families--his club and the women he loves. He struggles with the balance as he struggles with his own demons, and he often fails his women as he serves his club.

But most of all, this is the story of his fatherly love for a young girl, Amy, the light in his life, whose pure love for him is the foundation of his humanity. He learns to love and be a family man because he loves her, and she loves him, no matter what.

It's a beautiful, heartbreaking story about the hope and disappointment, happiness and sorrow, pain and redemption of unconditional love.

This one just never evolved. I read it on a long plane ride today or I may never have finished it. It really was pretty boring. I kept waiting for something more, but it just never evolved. A TOTAL waste of time.

I need to trust my gut more and quit getting SUCKERED into these boring books ...

What did I like about this one?
1 -- Tiny [Joe]. You have to appreciate this guy's loyalty. He was loyal to those he called "family". The way he practically raised Amy - heartwarming and commendable. But, as much as I liked Joe, I didn't like Joe.

2 -- Amy as a young girl just warmed my heart. I wasn't a fan of her teen evolution, but loved her as a youngster.

3 -- Some of the guys at the MC. They added a bit of character to this story, but not enough to keep me interested.

4 -- Momma Sophia. She was a tough lady with heart. She did right by all those she loved.

What could have been better?
1 -- This story dragged and dragged. It had enough that I thought something would happen, but it didn't really. Oh, there was a bit of something, but it didn't make sense and when it did, I didn't care. I should have. Know?

Way too long. She could have accomplished more with less. I love a long book --- when they work out. This one dragged and dragged. Maybe shorted by half it would have been better.

2 -- Joe. He could be a right asshole. The way he was with M - or Maria. What a sucker. The stuff between him and Beth with M in the middle. Hated that. Hated when he got angry and hit Beth. I don't care if the guy was having the worst time of his life - NO excuse. Absolutely none. Nope. Didn't really like Joe much. Or should I say, didn't like him all the time.

3 -- Very poor character development. Which characters? All of them really. Example:
So ... Joe was supposed to be this serious bad ass. Really? I didn't see it. What is he supposed to look like? How 'bout Amy? We know she is supposed to look a bit like her mother [Maria] and her dad, but other than the blonde hair and they are lookers, what did they look like? Terrible when you get to the end of a story and have no clue what these characters looked like.

4 -- This book wasn't awful. I finished it. But it really wasn't good either. There wasn't much of a story. It was about a man who loved his family. His family isn't traditional. The. End.

I absolutely hate when a good character or two are stuck in the Land of Awful. Poor Joe. Poor Amy. They are forever doomed to be stuck in this awfully boring book.

I'm stuck in a hotel, so I'm going to get a nice French Onion soup and a bit of chocolate mouuse and try to find some thing GOOD to read. Wish me luck!

If you read this one, hope you have a better experience than I.

Happy Reading!!

Ok, first off, I have to say that Sons of Anarchy is one of my all time favorite tv shows and I havent read many MC books cause I prefer to watch rather than read this genre ;D but Sarah Osborne has taken this genre and did not hold anything back!

This is a story about an unconventional family, and blood relations don't define what the word 'family' means, its the love and support you have from those who have your back.

There were many characters that I fell deep in love with, and this story has left its mark on my heart.

My absolute favorite part of this story was the relationship between Joe and Amy; I cant even describe how their relationship touched the deepest part of my soul; they are two characters that will stay with me for a very long time.

Final stars = 4.5

This is about all the Loves in the H, Joe's life. His love and care of his mother. His crazy ex (Maria) who he loves, but is not In love with anymore. The love for Maria's little girl (Amy) who we see grow up into a young adult. She is very attached to him. And the seemly unrequited love the ex's younger sister (Beth) has for him. Maria is the bad sister. Beth is the good sister. For me the story seems to focus on the love between Amy and Joe, not a romantic kind of love, more like a fatherly love.

I advise you to have a box and a half of Kleenex with you. It is a shocker. It is a tear jerker. I gave in to my ugly cry. This story stayed in my head for a few days

----------------------------
I enjoyed and recommend.
But this is not a typical book about motorcycle club. You won't see the parties and Club sluts, they appear as the backdrop of the story.
The book deals with the personal life and family relationships of the hero.
He tries to separate the life in the motorcycle club of his personal life. But ends up discovering that the two are interlinked whatever he does to separate them.
Up to 50% of the book the story focuses on his relationship with his ex and her daughter. It's a toxic relationship, but he can't get rid of it. It's like a moth being seduced by the light.
After he starts a relationship with Beth and the motorcycle club ends up appearing more in his life and have an overview of what he does for the Club and the consequences of this in his life and how it ends affecting his family life.
Our hero has a very complex personality and just wanting to deepen our knowledge about him.
I was surprised positively with the story. The pace is slow, but holds the reader's attention. We were wondering what's going to happen and I confess that I had two occasions that really surprised me with the way the story has taken.
I can't give too many details so as not to spoil the reading.

I find writing reviews on books I absolutely loved really, really hard because whatever I say won't even come close to how I feel about them. And this book... I really, really loved. Wow. This MC book was so different from other MC books I've read in the past. Emotionally, it really did a number on me. There were a lot of things that shocked me (see my status updates...) but Amy... ohmygoodness - it felt like my heart was ripped out. Seriously, I was not prepared for an ugly cry and that's just what this book made me do.

The book is about Joe "Tiny" Taylor, big bad enforcer for his MC. He kills, he tortures, he gets the job done. But he's also human and a family man and he takes care of his own. This book not only explores his relationships with his club, his mom, his ex, his ex's daughter and even his ex's sister but also explores the different kinds of love a person can have and give. For me, it was amazing to experience being on the receiving end of Tiny's love because Tiny was such an amazing character.

Except for some editing problems this book was perfect. I really, really enjoyed this book.

On another note, Dear Author, PLEASE, I AM BEGGING YOU, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE write a book for Samson! :)

Oh, I liked this a lot.
There's such a strange build in this book, and it's GOOD strange. There's not a lot of flowery language or descriptive narrative. But does this make the book seem fast and short? Not at all. We see a little girl grow into a young woman in the action of the story, and a long-term relationship flicker, grow, falter, wilt and endure. It ain't a love story, but there's a lot of love in it. Personally I believe this was the story of Joe and Amy more than anything else - their scenes were wonderfully sweet and Amy really was our window on the world that A Family Man created. Ms. Osborne pulls it off with a lot of skill, and her characters are all so richly complete that you are constantly getting to know them better as the tale goes on. I can't wait for the next one ... Not anything I was expecting. In fact, I tried to DNF this story at one point. It drew me back in when I decided to skip to the ending. I had to know more and in the end, I went back to the beginning to start all over.

To me it was but wasn't a typical biker story. It was so different from what I'm used to with these kinds of story lines yet it had a lot of the same old biker elements.

I think this book would have been a bit better with editing in places and definitely in the way some of the characters talked at times.

I liked that this story was about Joe's, the "hero", loves of his life. We see his love for his mom, love and devotion to Amy, even though she's not his daughter, his screwed up and misplaced love for her crazy ex, Maria, and his absolute love that he didn't know he could have with Beth to his last greatest love, Abigail.

By no means is Joe a great hero. He has flaws and he's a killer. That's his place in his MC, the enforcer. He's great at it and other MCs like to contract him as well. Even though that's his character and he feels like he doesn't deserve love and devotion and good things, deep down, he really was a good loving guy to the women in his life. He was a great "brother" to the guys in the MC and had their backs, even when he said things he shouldn't have and was an idiot.
His brothers always had his back.

This book takes you through the good, bad and the ugly. We see Joe love, lose his temper, him at work, and when he grieves. He will lose some people he loves a long the way. But ultimately, Joe will learn to finally open up, let others in and try to be a better man when it's all said and done.

What I liked:
1. Samson. I really hope he gets a book.
2. The MC brothers. They had Joe, Amy and Beth's backs. I loved how they were with Amy and Beth. I really liked how they helped Joe when he needs them.
3. This book definitely made me cry a few time.
4. Fast paced book for as many chapters as it was.
5. I liked all the different points of views.
6. Joe's capacity to love, for the type of man he was.
7. When Joe and Beth get together, he's not a cheater.
8. Amy and Joe's relationship.
9. This story was not laced with so much sex. There was an actual story happening. We got to see Joe at work and on runs. He might of been a virile man, and for a time wanted any walking woman, however, we didn't have to endure that.
11. It was nice to read a story not over run by the H/h's libidos. There is steam in the story but not overly done. Thankfully. It adds to the story and doesn't over power it.

I found this book thru a recommendation on a FB group and everyone raved about it. I'm not a huge MC fan but I have read some that are fantastic this ain't one of them!

I don't normally use the word ain't but after reading that word at least a 100 times as I tried to wade thru this book it is now stuck in my head lol!

The writing was terrible. I hated that the H called women bitches or ugh gash seriously WTF. He even called the girl a bitch!

The story was so choppy and would jump several yrs or months at a time.

Oh and did I mention how long it was ugh or the endless chapters devoted to the runs he made boring!

I should have walked away when I saw the cheesy book cover but didn't!

I have seen some great ratings and reviews for this book but for me 1 star seems too generous!

First of all, I really had to get used to the writing style of this piece. PoVs where sectioned off in the same chapters, some short and some medium, but some led off without an easy readability so that the reader knew right off which character's limited PoV(3rd person)had the spotlight.

Second of all, the hero was the showcase of this piece, and he was rightfully a kind of douche-y, oblivious, but loyal and manly biker, as any. He, Joe "Tiny" Taylor, started life loving the wrong kind of woman, transferred his love to a kid who was a symbol of betrayal and redemption, and found real love almost too late (and not in an enlightening way, might I add).

Joe's character took dominance over the story, and I'm glad because, seriously, I barely liked the other characters(Joe's mom Sofia was kind of notable), and Joe had me rooting for him to get things right, finally, for once in his life.

Despite this being a character piece on a biker who was indeed a "family man,", this was definitely a biker book. It had violence and cursory explanations of alliances and enemies, and it had a sidebar view of a villain, who would have had more impact had more background and nuance been detailed to provide certain motivations and cast light on the reasons "why" at the end.

But back to the Joe's character, which drove the plot, I have to say that even in his assholery, he was a character who gave the truest emotions. He made no bones about them, and that provided a lens to his character which made reading this story worth it. Plus, there was a secondary character whose fate is inexplicably tied with Joe's, and though she didn't win my heart all the way, she made an impression.

I won't talk about the heroine, here, because she wasn't really focused on for more than half of the story, and when she did come to light, her character hadn't been developed deeply enough.

Most characters, the reader sees through Joe or as dependent on Joe, except for the almost show stealer character, mentioned above. She pretty much shares the spotlight with Joe most of the time.

In all, it was an okay story that begs the question: How many ways can one love and when is that love toxic?

These ladies in the FCP group can pen some intriguing matter even if it is not always 4 or 5 stars worth.

Happy Biker Hunting.

4.5 and I'll tell you why. I read a lot, like a LOT of books! And frankly sometimes its a challenge for an author, even one I've enjoyed in the past, to keep my interest throughout a whole book. I have gotten to a point where I know what's going to happen in a plot very early on in a book. I LOVE to read, and this book reminded me why! This story was unexpected, and the character development was great because they sucked you in. And while the MC genre has exploded this was truly a story about family and approached subjects in a very real way. In life there are more often than not no happily ever afters, but every once in a while you read a story that provides you a real ending. Well done, now on to the next one!

Oh man this book wrecked me...caught me completely off guard.

Very well written but a little slow in some spots. Loved Joe but his casual sociopathic tendencies freaked me out a little. Hated Maria...of course!

Enjoyed so much that I'm moving on to book 2 in the series.

This book was very slow to read, I started it a few times just to put it away. I couldn't connect to the characters.
I guess it was not my type of book.

This book is exhausting. And depressing. I only made it halfway through this one, and I just wanted it to end. I couldn't trudge through it anymore. I decided to read some of the other reviews to see if this story had the pay off to make it worth sticking with it. From those reviews, it wouldn't have made it worth it to me. I love me some angsty goodness, but this story was just nonstop depression and unhappiness of all the characters. Not to mention tragic and willful self-destruction.

At times A family Man was intense, dark, emotional and thick. Other times it seemed to drag on, becoming boring and with a turning of a page sprang right back into action, the whole cycle repeating itself. While this isn't within my top reads, I'd certainly recommend it. worthy of the four stars given! Now onto the review.

Joe could never see a good thing even if it hauled off and slapped him in the face.

Which is how he fell in love with the wrong sister. Maria was toxic, a viperous woman who would wrap her coils around Joe to serve her own purpose.

She'd use anything and anyone to achieve her goals, even her own daughter. Knowing full well the dumb biker loved the little girl as if she was his own. Standing in the shadows waiting Beth had loved him from a far, but he was blinded by her bitch of a sister.

How many times would Joe allow himself to be drawn into Maria's games? Manipulated, lie to, cheated on and ultimately used, he'd push away and she'd sucker him back in. Granted the MC would come first. Beth had always known and accepted that was who he was, but when would Joe wake up and notice she wasn't her sister.

This book had a 5 star feel to it from the first chapter right through to the end. Even when the story ripped my heart out it did it well. Of course I didn't want it to go the way it did but it gave it a very real feeling.

Joe was a perfect mixture of sweet and badass with a heart of gold. Amy stole the show with her cheeky smart comments. Joe proves that it's what you do that makes you family, it's not the blood but the love that flows through your veins is what counts. Joe steps up or makes sure someone does anytime he thinks Amy needs help. She adores the man she thinks of as her father.

This is the story of a feared man and the little girl he has accepted as his daughter, the love they share and the beauty they bring out in each other and those around them. This isn't a fairytale, it doesn't skimp with details nor is it void of pain and tragedy. You'll get value for money with the story being full length, not too long but a book that you'll look down and be pleased that it has so much more for you to enjoy. Have the kleenex ready and a couple of days to enjoy your time with The Freak MC.

Hope we'll be hearing more from the. Freak MC

Honestly I have mixed feeling about this book, there were things I enjoy but there were many things I don't. The way of writing took a while to get used to because it jumped from one episode to the next, although it didn't bother me anymore once I grasped the writing style.
Anyway, what bothered me most was the characters. Nothing to like about them, everyone had flaws I get it but this was messed up.
Lastly, it's not really a MC book, the club was only the background and we got just a little bit of glimpse into the life. It sticks to the title, centering on Tiny's family outside the MC and holy shit, the DRAMA! I was tired reading all of those, too much drama for me.

5 beautiful stars for Joe and Beth and his love for Amy.

“I’m sorry, Beth. You deserve better.”
“Joe, please. We’ve gone over this so many times. I don’t like you being away, but I accept it. All I ask is that you come back to me, whole.”
“Shit, girl. Where you been all my life?”
“Right under your nose.”
“Oh yeah. I’m a dumb fucker, ain’t I?”
“Yeah. But I love you anyway.”

"He grinned as the latest addition to their family opened her eyes at the sound of his voice, and that tiny spark flared deep inside him and his heart was filled with light.”

What an amazing story... It was... There are no words

Now I know why my friend Irene is so obsessed with this story.

I loved it, from beginning to end. Well Maria I really wanted to kill her like a lot... And poor Beth, but eventually it worked out

Lots of twists and turns and just when you think the story was done, Hell No, something else happens.

I can't wait to read Samson's story...
