3.4 stars. I like the opening parts of the story and how Takayama is described in the story. I don't like the middle part of the story so much because once we leave Takayama behind, the story falls right back to a very typical and overused cops-investigate-a-murder-case routine. However, by the end of the story I was really impressed by how the murderer creates his/her alibi So the extra 0.4 star is gained.
