My heart softened. It was almost impossible to think that the hard, cold Reece Kavanagh had demons, yet it made sense. I'd seen him look vulnerable on occasion and knew there was more to him than the hardworking asshole. He could be genuinely happy when something amused him. Yet he seemed to want to bury that side of himself. To please his wealthy, successful and unemotional parents? Or for some other reason?
The distant parenting shed some light on why he never kept girlfriends, only bedroom partners. Clearly intimacy freaked him out. He didn't know how to respond when someone showed genuine affection and wanted more from him. So he pushed them away, just like he pushed away his brothers.

"What was my brother saying?" he growled.

"He was apologizing for embarrassing me yesterday," I said.
His gaze narrowed. "If that was all, then why the hasty retreat?"
"Perhaps he didn't want to speak to his big, scary brother."
I thought I saw a ghost of a smile flitter across his lips, but it was so small and so fleeting that I could have been mistaken.
"I'm not scary," he said.
He should stand in my shoes. Maybe he'd think differently if he saw the determined set of his jaw and the rigidity in the way he held himself.
His mouth curved into a broader smile, but there was no humor in it. It was all predatory. "But I am big."
Gulp. Yeah, I bet he was.
He leaned down and his lips brushed my ear, warm and soft. "Come home with me, Cleo.

La Trampa Del Novio Billonario es el primer libro de los cinco que forman la saga Kavanagh Family de la autora Kendra Little y tiene a Cleo y Reece ( el hermano mayor ) como protagonistas.
Tenia ganas de leer un libro cortito y sencillo que me mantuviera entretenida por unas horas, concretamente una tarde aburrida y fue cuando recorde que tenia este libro pendiente y que tenia pocas paginas ( 164 ).
El libro de Kendra Little fue lo que esperaba, una historia sencilla, comun y muy rapida de leer, es esa clase de historias que lees en muy poco tiempo y que cuando la terminas te deja un buen sabor de boca a pesar de que no sea el libro de tu vida, lo que mas me sorprendio fue lo bien escrita que esta la historia, generalmente en este tipo de lecturas todo es un poco " simple " pero con este libro no tuve esa sensacion.
No es perfecto, tiene algunos defectillos pero sinceramente, a mi no me molestaron.

I enjoyed it and liked it, but I didn't love it as much as I expected. But I honestly like that the character development was significant for such a short story, and now I can not wait to start this series. I'm looking forward to meeting all these delectable Kavanagh Brothers, and I was kind of excited that Cleo's sister Becky will be paired with Reece's youngest brother.

Sweet
This was a nice story. I liked the characters a lot and the plot was interesting. I really enjoyed the interactions between Reece and Cleo. There's something about an office romance that just does something to me. I do, however, feel like the story sped up in the second half of the book and it threw me off a little because I was enjoying the beginning half moving at its leisurely pace. Overall I really enjoyed it and I look forward to reading more of this series and from this author.

2.5-3 stars I liked this but i didn't love it. An easy read but it did lack some depth. The characters were likeable but predictable. I found that I skimmed through some parts. The Kavanagh family are intriguing so I'll probably continue the series at sometime.

Qui si parla di Reece, il maggiore, un uomo oltre che tremendamente affascinante, un grande imprenditore freddo e spietato e che, come tale, a volte compie azioni che vanno contro gli interessi di altre.
E qui entra in scena Cleo, una giovane, che per mantenere se stessa e la sorella minore, lavora come adescatrice. Il suo compito è avvicinare le persone e spiarle per trovare “gli scheletri nell’armadio”. Reece vuole abbattere una vecchia casa per costruire un hotel ed ovviamente qualcuno è contrario. Cleo riesce a farsi assumere come assistente personale di Reece ed è il modo migliore per trovare qualcosa che potrebbe bloccare il progetto.
Ma Reece non è quell’uomo freddo ed insensibile che sembra: è un uomo tormentato dal passato, un uomo che ha sofferto, che ha sbagliato e che, a suo modo, vuole cercare di rimediare. Ed è anche un uomo passionale e dolce e Cleo si ritrova invischiata più del previsto: per la prima volta i suoi sentimenti prendono il sopravvento e la situazione diventa davvero complicata.
E’ una storia intrigante e scorrevole che si legge velocemente e con un bel colpo di scena finale che spiega il titolo e che dà un significato diverso a tutta la vicenda.

What I liked about the novel...
This was a nice short read that I rather liked. It was quite interesting seeing how this heroine did get the hero in the end. The characters were all well developed, well portrayed and believable giving the reader a well written script that will keep your attention until the end. I did not find this one a predictable read because toward the end the reader will be given quite a twist that will give new light in this interesting story. I liked how this author end this series 'The Billionaire Boyfriend Trap" to the next series....'The Billionaire Boyfriend Proposal' and it sounds like another interesting read.

As am amazon freebie thus was an ok read. It had all the makings of a great story, rich billionaire, smart (or maybe not so smart) heroine, sadness and family drama to make a fantastic read, but it just fell short for me.
Reece Kavanagh is still dealing with the fallout of the death of his ex girlfriend years ago and now he has the perfect opportunity to remove the one thing that still haunts his everyday, her home. With an intention to demolish it and build a hotel, he didn't realise the resistance that eould come from the owner and her friends, including one tough chick - Cleo Denny.
Cleo is a trapper, she investigates, gets rich men to fall for her all for information which is returned to her boss, Ellen with a lovely pay in the process. Her newest conquest is billionaire Reece Kavanagh, she must break him down and get him to forget the demolish of a house for a new hotel complex. Once she discovers this man is not the nasty, bastard everyone makes him out to be, but a misunderstood man looking for that special something or someone. As a major player in the sex game, he hires and beds women for fun, that us until Cleo bursts into his world. All of a sudden it is just sex for him... and for Cleo it is the same feelings clouding her professional judgment.
But when Reece finds out what Cleo is up to, and Cleo discovers the job was not all cut and dry, this perfect couple fall apart in a dramatic scene. So when the house demolition goes ahead and Cleo is left feeling beyond played and lonely, she will find oit what the real Reece Kavanagh is like. This was a clever very enjoyable short read.
We have a billionaire theme that seems to have been a been there done that kind of thing but i found this to be absolutely different from others I've read.
First the heroine, Cleo, doesn't have a typical job. She isn't one of those girls who makes it apparent that she doesn't want the rich man and his money. She doesn't, but that's not the point. The point is, she HAS a job. That job is to get Reece to change his mind about a business venture and she has to use any means necessary to make it happen. With her sister's medical bills and just trying to live day to day, she does her job as efficiently as one would with that much on the line. But she never expected to want Reece on a different level.
Reece is seen as a cold hearted bastard who takes what he wants when he wants it. Which is true, he does. But what most people don't see is that it's not always personal, it's just good business. He keeps women at arms length but is known to sleep with ALL his personal assistants. Cleo is no exception, he wants her and he will have her.
Neither of them expected to be as explosive together or be able to tear each other down. But that's what happens when you find a person you can't see yourself being without.
When everyone's secrets come out to play, everyone is thrown for a loop. This was totally not something I expected but I did enjoy it.
The vulnerability shown in all the characters makes the emotions pop from the pages. It keeps your attention and it makes you want to root for them all. Especially when you don't have a whiney woman or a know it all arrogant ass. They are confident in themselves but together they're even better!

This book was a light easy read with easy to love characters. The only reason I marked this down in stars was because I found myself skim reading the boring parts.
The relationship between Cleo and Reece was beautiful. I enjoyed reading their story. I liked how in the end they overcame everything because they loved each other.

Predictable
This was an alarmingly predictable book. The sex scenes had no finesse. The author tried at vulnerability with both main characters, but didn't go in depth, it was too surface unfortunately.

A fast and funny story, the only problem is having an affair with a snapshot rapid development, also the plot has many jumps. It is recommended as light reading.

Cleo Denny is an extraordinary PA who works for a lady who puts her in companies to find out their dirt and get it to the right people for the right reasons. She gives Cleo her latest assignment in stopping a billionaire from destroying a house to build a hotel. Cleo first meets Reece Kavanagh at an art exhibition were her sister has art being presented. At their first meeting he is being led around by his latest PA who leads him into a closet that Cleo happens to be hiding in. So after she gets a taste of what Mr. Kavanagh is like she really not trying to be his next hookup. She goes to work for him trying to find a way in stopping him from tearing down her sister's art teachers house. It turns out there's a story for his reasoning and there's a story in why Cleo was chosen for the job. You will have to read for yourself to find out the reasons and to know what happens with Cleo and Reece.

Me lo leí como relleno entre sagas de libros que son más mi tipo.
Este libro en Books de IPhone tiene una extensión de 306 páginas, es decir, se devora en un día.
Tengo que decir que es el típico libro de relleno, de hecho, no me leeré los otros de esta saga porque me imagino que todos son igual de predecibles.
Le pongo tres estrellas porque es un buen libro, pero como debería ser el promedio de libros, no hay nada nuevo que me sorprenda o sea diferenciador en relación a otros libros románticos cortos.
El protagonista es el típico playboy millonario y la protagonista es la típica “pobre” con deudas que pagar, demasiado inteligente y un trabajo no muy “bueno”.
Lo recomiendo para pasar el día y hacer una pausa de otras lecturas más intensas.

Una historia simple, con todos los condimentos para atraparte. La típica heroína fuerte, que contratada como espía para ser asistente de un jefe gruñón y mujeriego; y cree que puede manejarlo sin involucrarse personalmente. Y un protagonista medio cabron, cuya personalidad es una fachada para ocultar a un hombre totalmente dolido por errores del pasado.
La historia incluye las bases para las secuelas, dado que son 5 hermanos varones y tanto la madre como el padre del clan son super interesantes.

“Eu estava acostumado a lidar com bilionários VCG (velho, careca, gordo), mas não com caras gostosos como Reece Kavanagh.”
Não vou mentir, estava à espera de mais. Gostei bastante do segundo e terceiro livro da coleção e estava curiosa para conhecer a história do Reece e da Cleo.
Mas fiquei desiludida com a história! O Reece era o que eu esperava que fosse. Mas a Cleo desiludiu-me. Ela parecia ser a personagem tão rica, mas ficou bem atrás do que eu esperava.
No geral foi uma boa história, mas foi o que eu menos gostei da autora, até agora.

If more had been made of the information she was presented then maybe not, but nothing was emphasized. In the whole book, not how hot the closet scene was, how desolate she was, nothing was given more depth than anything else. Like Joe Friday and just the facts ma'am. It presented a barrier between reader and material that frankly bored me. I didn't even bother with the sex scene. Ellen is the only character I cared for--she's intriguing.

Al principio me intrigó la trama pero al pasar las páginas lo interesante de la historia se fue por un lado totalmente distinto, los personajes se contradecían constantemente y sus personalidades cambiaron convenientemente para seguir una historia totalmente distinta a la que nos ofrecieron inicialmente.
En fin, no fue mi tipo de libro.

Al principio tenía mis dudas en leer este libro por lo cutre que me sonaba el título pero a medida que iba leyendo me empezó a gustar. Aunque no se si es porque no tenía nada que leer, me pareció adorable y sorprendente las reacciones y las personalidades de los personajes, lo digo por la experiencia que he tenido con este tipo de títulos y no me sorprendería lo mal portado que son los protagonistas masculinos. Tipo capullo e insensibles.

Este libro me ha gustado mucho.
El primer libro que leí de la autora fue el de King, y me dí cuenta que debí haber leido esta saga antes.
Reece me ha encantado, sigue atrapado por sus demonios hasta casi el final.
Y Cleo tiene unos principios claros, aunque su trabajo le haga en ocasiones salirse del camino recto.
Y Ellen me encanta, quiero saber más de esta familia.

4,5 ⭐️Seppure la trama è trita e ritrita ho trovato questo libro davvero molto carino, divertente, con dialoghi fra i due protagonisti frizzanti, senza troppi drammi e davvero scorrevoli. L ho divorato fino alla fine è nn mi ha lasciata quel senso di insoddisfazione che a volte rimane. Ideale per farti sognare ad occhi aperti un paio d’ore

Este libro era justo lo que estaba buscando, algo que fuera corto, de fácil lectura y con resolución de los problemas entre la pareja de una forma rápida y más o menos creíble.
No hay mucho misterio y es un poco predecible, pero pues era realmente el tipo de libros al que le tenía ganas. Ahora a leer los otros libros je.

La trampa del novio billonario es esa clase de lectura ligera que te llevas cuando quieres desconectar la cabeza de algo por un breve momento. Es lo que hizo, fue agradable, ligera y sencilla. No hubo sorpresas, solo una trama erótica que fluyó fácilmente entre un hombre casanova que se enamoró rápidamente de la asistente que deseaba joderle la existencia en un contrato.

Livro foi previsível do inicio ao fim, os acontecimentos entre os personagens foi de zero a cem... Se beijaram uma vez e o cara malvado já abre seu coração, já quer mudar todos os seus traumas só pra ter ela ao lado... Achei tudo muito fácil e sem graça.
