Nim #3

Rescue on Nim's Island

Rate this book
In her third gripping adventure, Nim unearths an amazing opalized fossil, but this discovery puts her island in terrible danger

Nim lives on an island with her father, Jack, a marine iguana called Fred, a sea lion called Selkie, and their friend Alex Rover, the adventure writer. Nim's island is the most beautiful place in the world, and she wouldn't live anywhere else. When Jack invites a group of scientists to visit, they bring their children as well. But two of the scientists have plans other than studying algae. By the time Nim discovers what they really want, and what they will do to get it, the children are in grave danger. And so is the island! Nim must choose between saving a natural treasure and saving someone's life.

I’m an author, but I could never have started writing books if I hadn’t loved reading them first. Reading isn’t just one of my favourite things to do; it’s one of the most important things in my life. I can’t imagine a world in which I couldn’t read, every day. That’s why I always read to my children every day, just as my parents used to read to me. Stories can be exciting, sad, funny, scary or comforting, but the most amazing thing about them is that they take us into new worlds and teach us something more about ourselves, all at the same time.

This book just wasn't as charming as the first two. Since it's a mash-up of the previous two books and the movies, it's a little harder to follow. I felt like a lot of the action was a bit... slow, and the bad guys weren't super smart or hard to foul up.
I enjoyed seeing the characters again, but this just didn't hit the spot like the first two.

I think the book Nim’s Island is one of the best book I have ever read so far. I liked this noon because it’s all about adventure and learning how to survive our in dangerous places like the Island or something else. I know this is my first time reading the book but it doesn’t matter as long as it amazing and wonderfull book to read so I would recommend everyone young adult and children to watch this movie and read this boo.......
