2.5 🌟 rounded up

This was nice, and by no means is this a bad review, it was just a little bit flimsy, but still enjoyable.

I have to admit that I only managed to read 57% of this book according to kindle. I simply couldn't stand it anymore.

The author has good word skills. Which is what gave it the stars.

The problem being that I hate all of the characters and it tries to be mysterious by simply having the characters not tell you what they know but keep talking around it instead.

So I probably should have given up 20% earlier but I had wanted to add it to my read books, instead I made it half way and am counting it as read anyways as a reward for soldiering on.

Ninety days of summer by @emilyharvale 📚

Another amazing book by the wonderful writer Emily Harvale.

Cleo and poppy go to visit Cleo’s aunt Clara to ask about a secret she’s known after a big family argument all throes earlier on that night Cleo got dragged from Goldebury Bay.

During the summer she’s back she has gain a friendship with her summer love from 16 years ago and a relationship with his best friend Thaddeus Beaumont who are both deeply in love with her.

Once the big secret is out I was gobsmacked, i just couldn’t believe it but at the same time deep down I already knew I just didn’t want to believe it.

The real question is, Will Cleo remain in Gdebury bay?

I have submitted this review after listening to the audiobook of this title. (Audible Membership)

Going back to where she spent her holidays after sixteen years away has old memories resurfacing.

This trip was for relaxing, but it was also to put some wrongs to right and seeking truth.

It's never easy to face the past.

This book deserves the five stars. Will she won't she ?I like way a familiar figure appears in all of her stories. The continuation makes you want to know what has happened to the character along the way.

Cleo and her best friend Poppy decide to spend the summer in Goldebury Bay, with Cleo's Aunt Clara.

Cleo hasn't been back to Goldebury Bay since one fateful night 16 years ago, and she left behind Thaddeus Beaumont and Oliver Sutton, who both loved her.

Cleo and Poppy spend the summer doing the touristy things, and generally having a great time, but also trying to unravel the mysteries of the past and present.

Ninety Days of Summer is a fantastic summer read, with some nice funny bits, some lovely characters and the resort of Goldebury Bay - that I believe will be featured in a future book.

There is a whole host of interesting characters, and I'd have loved to have gotten to know a few of them a lot better.

Loved this book by the talented Emily Harvale, great read to round off the summer.

Although Highland Fling remains my favourite of Emily's books, Ninety Days of Summer has slotted firmly into second place. This book is a little longer than her previous novels, and she has written more mystery and drama into the story line instead of the usual light hearted romance and comedy, but has still managed to keep a lot of humour throughout the story. Although I did work out the secret about halfway through, there is still a twist in the end to keep you guessing. Emily Harvale is definitely high up on my list of top ten favourite authors. Well done Emily - I'm looking forward to the next book in the series.

Emily - you've done it again! Ninety Days of Summer is hugely enjoyable, light, bright and breezy. The characters are great fun, especially Poppy and the setting sublime - Goldebury Bay may be fictional but there's lots I recognise about it so that made the experience even more of a joy! I judge a good book by how much I want to return to it at the end of each day and this book I really looked forward to - it really is pure escapism. All you've got to do is open the page, immerse yourself and you're good to go! I hope more stories are set in this lovely town the author has created.

I really like Emily's books, this one took me a little longer to get into than her others and it was longer (I think), taking me time to finish. That said it's an enjoyable read with fun characters, especially Poppy who I liked immensely. One thing that I found odd and it's probably just me, but the main character Cleo called her aunt Clara 'aunt' when talking to her and it seemed very wooden. Wouldn't saying Aunt Clara have flowed better??

Fun

This is a wonderful romance, with lots of twists and turns in it. I loved it and couldn't put it down. The characters were well drawn and credible, the scenery was so well described that I feel as though I was there with them. I am looking forward to reading the other books by this author.

I found the secret intriguing. All the way through, I just wanted to know. When it came down to it, I wasn't disappointed though I did get slightly confused when it all came out, but I won't go into detail here as I don't want to spoil it. A brilliant read nonetheless.

Fabulous book, I couldn't put it down unfortunately I don't have much time to read. It had everything and more than what I was looking for it had secrets, intrigue, love, laughter, alcohol and plenty of sunshine. I thoroughly enjoyed this and can't wait to read the next two in the series

Well I didn't think too much of this book as I started reading it and the first half was okay, nothing more then it suddenly started to get interesting and I couldn't put the book down until I'd finished it. A slow burner but a cracking ending.
