An overall pretty interesting and well documented essay on XTC’s masterpiece from 1986. It features some new never heard before aspects on the album’s making, although to an hardcore fan this book might not surprise or bring anything particularly new and exciting to the table; I think its most correct audience is to be found in general fans of the band/album who seek a book to know a little bit more on Skylarking. Another good perk of this book is for all the musicians as it gives great detail on the tools and instruments used in the making of this record.
If you love this album, you will find new information and stories about its making here in this comprehensive account. (My only quibble is an unusual number of typographical errors.)
