Surtain and Laila Cones have been sweethearts since high school. From puppy love to adulthood and marriage, their love story has stood against every test thrown at them. Unfortunately, one of them carries a secret so deep that it leaves them wondering if they were ever soulmates. They seek marriage counseling, but even that is proving not to be enough until a trip to their local bar creates an idea Surtain and Laila had never thought of before.
Domaneek ‘Dom’ Muse enters the scene. She’s a semi-topless waitress with a mean sway in her walk. Dom walks in her eight-inch heels like a goddess at night, collecting glances and hearts along with her tips.
One night at the bar, a chance encounter puts Dom and the Cones on the same path. The act of clothes tearing, lip biting, and dirty sex makes the perfect cocktail. However, when lust turns into love, the trio must navigate their newfound relationship and a stalker.
This was incredibly intense! 🥵🔥🔥🔥🔥 My ears felt like they were on fire. This is definitely more than I'm used to hearing! 😏 By the way, what genre is this? It was absolutely wild! 😳 If you're into something crazy, this is it!
Overall, I enjoyed They Call Me Dom. The story had an engaging setup and the potential to be a powerful exploration of love, identity, and non-traditional relationships. We start with Laila and Surtain, high school sweethearts turned married couple, which sets a strong emotional foundation. As time passes, Laila’s attraction to women surfaces, and Domaneek (“Dom”) enters the picture, bringing a fresh dynamic into their lives.
Initially, the development of a throuple (FMF) felt promising, and I was intrigued by how the author would navigate the poly relationship. However, my enjoyment was disrupted when the author shifted Laila’s sexuality from bisexual to exclusively gay. This pivot felt abrupt and introduced unnecessary conflict that clashed with the earlier tone of mutual exploration and growth. Rather than deepening the emotional bonds between all three characters, it seemed to fracture them.
The added stalker subplot complicated the story further without adding much value, and by the end, the resolution felt unbalanced. Surtain ends up with the “traditional” outcome—wife and child—while Laila simply ends up with a girlfriend. This ending left me questioning whether this was truly an FMF novel or something else entirely.
I wish the author had allowed the relationship between Laila and Surtain to evolve alongside their shared love for Dom, rather than dividing them. That could have created a more satisfying and emotionally resonant poly love story.

Okay listen, Most times on reviews I write a cute little sentence like that was lit or chileeee this the one but I have so many things to say about this book. As a person that is in and has been around different "lifestyle" dynamics I think this was ALOT. So many things wrong here. First off the main couple has been together for years and are each other's firsts and so ons. The wife is bisexual and is in the closet and her lover pretty much forces her out the closet exposing the affair they've been having. The couple still loves each other and try and make it work but the wife is still unhappy. She frequents bars and clubs to be a voyeur basically to get her "fill" without cheating again. She meets the bartender Dom who is bisexual and proud. They hit it off and she wants to introduce her to her husband. When the wife then goes home and pretty much sexs up the husband being aroused by Dom and then literally lays his outside on the bed like the first day of school so he can look a certain way for Dom 🚩 He meets Dom and there's a instant attraction on both ends When Lei goes to talk to Dom about the encounter she admits how attractive he is and it comes off as she really wants the husband more 🚩 The husband and Dom are now talking and flirting as Lei is. They decide on a date, Lei comes home cooks dinner and so on for the night and Dom comes over. They start touching at the table and Sir comes home. Dom leaps from Lei running to Sir saying baby your home 🚩 They all have their first threesome and after the wife gets her fill Dom and Sir go at it passionately the same way if not more intense than him and his wife 🚩 Mind you this first encounter is in April. By the time May comes around there have been several threesomes or separate sessions between Dom and the couple and all of these sessions are unprotected 🚩 One of the nights they have a game night and are asking questions and Doms first question is if they could go back in time would they marry each other still 🚩 I personally feel like that question should not be in asked as the new person coming in it feels like your trying to place rank and positioning. During this dinner Sir confesses that he loves Dom 🚩 ITS ONLY BEEN A FEW WEEKS. Side note Dom is going through something at her place because she had her friend living there and her friend's boyfriend was doing all the wrong things so she put her friend and the friend's boyfriend out but she ends up getting attacked by a stranger who is disguising their voice and ends up calling the cops and the couple to help her with the situation. They are worried about her because now someone is stalking the couple and sending pictures of them to the house and so on so during couples counseling the couple confesses they added a third in the relationship and it's been blissful. In learning that Lei confesses she has now realized that she is not bi but is now a gay woman and she Loves Sir so much and still has his best interest but she is only interested in him during the threesomes 🚩 Sir admits that he only knew Lei but in knowing Dom he realizes even tho they were all each other knew all their life he wants more but is happy that she introduced him to the love of his life 🚩 (Why is this couple holding so many secrets after all these yearsssssss 🙃) They embrace and tell the counselor she's no longer needed 😅 I personally feel like this should be a flag that they are moving too fast. I feel like they should work thru their pain before moving onto the next thing so they don't mess it up for the next person or themselves. But anyway after all the fear, slashed tires, and stalking and then finding out Dom is pregnant they move her into the house in May. IT'S ONLY BEEN A MONTH WE GOT A BABY WE IN LOVE AND THEY MOVING HER IN???? 🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩 Okay so once Sir finds out she's pregnant he says we need to tell Lei and we'll figure it out cause your the love of my life 🚩 They wake up Lei and she's expressionless at first. Sir says he's standing by Dom in case Lei is mad and lunges at her 🚩🚩 now we turning on our wife??? Lol Lei cries and says she's excited because Sir always wanted children and because of her uterus she couldn't give him children 🚩 Sir never knew this......10 years and he just figuring out it wasn't cause you were so into ya career that you didn't have time for children but ya uterus? Chile Now he wants to make Dom his wife and now Dom is mad cause they putting her in the middle cause Lei doesn't see that her being gay hurts Sir and that Sir wanting to marry her while married is all crazy. OH NOW ITS CRAZY lol Now Dom isn't bi she's in love with Sir and in love for the first time Lei is selfish knowing she's a lesbian but mad Sir is putting himself first 🚩 Sir taking accountability for doing all he could and putting her first ignoring his needs last is like the main green flag. Lei realized that he was just her companion AFTER 17 YEARS???? It's June and Dom finds out her friend is dead having been stabbed 20 times and she's now in her third trimester....I added that cause the numbers ain't numbering 😅
Either way th stalker is the ex from the beginning, Lei takes her out seeing her husband and love almost hurt she decided she was wrong and regretful. The baby is here and Lei decides to all be a family and they are all intimate with each other still but Lei and Sir only while drunk and no penetration 😅🚩 I think the stalker element would of made more sense if Dom was the stalker but I guess that's too real

I wasn't sure how I would feel about this book cause I haven't read many books with the fmf trope, the few. I normally like the story to have mfm, mmfm, or mmf, however I really think Wynta Tyme did a great job by balancing the interactions with all of the characters. I really like the way that Dom fit into both Laila and Surtain's life in the beginning most definitely.
Knowing that I always love a good stalker element in the author's books and there were two suspects that I had on my list, but my bet is on the girl...SHIT I COULD BE A DETECTIVE (HAHA!!)
Also, I did not expect that bomb that Laila dropped during the marriage counseling session and then Surtain saying what he said...def had my head on a swivel. I will say that I did not like Lai she was selfish, and she hid to much shit, like I get being in the closet to an extent but then deciding you are not with being intimate with your husband, that you have known for years that you couldn't have kids...like you a selfish hoe. I stand by my feelings towards her even if they all end up still together, I am only rooting for Sur and Dom🤷🏾♀️ #TEAMSURDOM!!!
Def was happy that Sur was putting himself first...for the literal 1st time P.S: The spice in this book was definitely spicing...I mean I swear I was not breathing during some of these scenes.

Dom was the woman in the middle of a married couple I was like I guess this could be a good thing because both party’s agreed. The one that killed me was when Liz was like happy and sad when she found out dom was pregnant with sire baby because she could never get pregnant because of her body . I feel like she wanted woman more because she feel like her body betrayed her and she could give sire what he truly wanted was a family . Her seeing dom and sire have that happy part and then dom saying I will code ur ex husband over u because I love him more was heart crushing . But they end up come back together and dom is the only one that touches both and they only touch each other when they are drunk . I really love this book because it shows they high and the lows of a troupble

It wasn't my favorite, but it wasn't bad either. The story follows Laila and Surtain, who are married. Laila is bisexual but closeted, until Surtain catches her cheating with Mariya. Afterward, Laila decides to break things off with Mariya, but soon realizes that being with her husband alone doesn't make her happy. This is when Dom enters the picture. Their relationship develops quickly, and eventually, Surtain and Dom fall in love and have a baby together. Laila chooses to divorce Surtain so that he and Dom can get married, but she remains in their lives, and together they form a unique family. The stalker is revealed to be Mariya, and everything wraps up on a positive note with Dom pregnant again.

This was an interesting read, I was conflicted.. had me thinking “girl, would you do something like this?”. Laila has struggled for years to step into her true sexual identity. Miss Laila didn’t have a clue that wanting to finally live in her truth would end up costing her more than she was willing to pay. However, it was nice to see Laila be selfless for once and allow her husband Sur to finally be happy and get what he deserved. The plot twist… wow! Heartbreak & Jealousy… two things that are deadly; be careful how you discard people. Dom was a force to be reckoned with- she came in and shook up Laila & Sur’s world…
Laila v. Sur v. Dom! What a trio! But I have to be honest. My good sis Laila was selfish asf. She presented this idea so she can have all her heart desires but if Dom had of picked a side she would left her “friend/soulmate” to be a lone. I’m so glad when he stood up for himself. Dom shouldn’t have to make them communicate better. She was honestly the perfect unicorn 🦄 Sur was the dream husband honestly. I feel sorry for Briya I wish she could’ve got herself together! I loved this I’ll definitely read it again!!!!
Let me go find my Surtain YOLO gimme a 𝐷𝑜𝑚 mixed with Laila lol
Babyyyyyyy talk about a page turner !? I thoroughly enjoyed every moment. I get a lil skeptical when it’s about polyamory but being a demisexual & sapiosexual it doesn’t seem too complicated IF things were able to flow as smoothly as they did here ! But that’s the beauty of living vicariously through these pages LOL ain’t gone happen frfr ! 50/10 highly recommend
This story was very well written, it was composed of so many truths for each of the. They went through quite a bit to get to where they were, but I think everyone was better for it. They met each other’s needs perfectly and communication was the key. The spice was also on point I cannot lie, baby this book had a sister ready, ready!! Thoroughly enjoyed this read thank you.
This was so good!! I was definitely scared and conflicted because i knew what was gonna happen but i didn’t know what was gonna happen. Lol Unconventional but it works for them for the most part! I love how everyone eventually lives in their truth and does whatever made them happy! My heart was deflee aching for Lai for a bit but i guess she got what she needed.
Poly books aren't usually for me. But this one seemed like it. But it was almost like she helped one live in their truth and the other find who he really wanted to be with. Adding "she's not a true bbw" made me laugh. People don't realize it's levels to being a bbw and some times that's a whole lot of belly lol
This was a unique story for sure, but worth the read for sure. Lai was selfish in a way but she was confused, Dom was the right person for Sur and Lai to truly have peace and I am glad they got it together and it was sexy all the way. The poly twist at the end I can see it and I am glad Lai was able to protect her loves.
I don’t know what to say this was a read Dom was that girl for both Sur and Lai…..things that happened were because lai didn’t fully walk in her truth but it worked out ….but I loved that Sur spoke up and didn’t just give in because his happiness did matter….and by Lai letting go not worrying about opinions was the most freeing thing for them all cause she was selfish…..,run and read this book it’s really good
Ummm 🫢🫣🤭🥵 I am into the poly lifestyle but this was so spicy and had my clutching my pearls at times. Sur appeared to be gentle giant but baaaaaby that man is unhinged as f&*@. This book is so good and I recommend everyone to read it.
This book was not what I expected. It was a great intriguing read and held twist and turns. When you thought you figured out how things were going to go it went a different. Definitely a great read!
Wow, this story was sexy adventurous on edge yessss 🔥 📛 I loved everything about this story. it's simply amazing 👏🏾 🤩 I didn't want It to end the chemistry between characters. it was everything yesssss
This was an okay read. I kind of knew from the beginning who was behind the attacks because who else would have a reason. The only thing I didn’t like was it was too detailed for me. I did went from page 100 to the last chapter because I was over it.
This story was definitely one of a kind and worth every page. Lai might’ve come off a little selfish, but deep down she was just lost. Dom brought the balance Sur and Lai needed, and their connection? Whew—steamy and satisfying. A solid, unforgettable read.
This is a very spicy read!! Lai and Sur had to learn to navigate their fledgling marriage and Dom was just the person to help them do it. This story wasn't just spice though. There were some hard truths that had to be faced. I recommend this book and see myself picking it up again in the future.
Very short read. It was a little elementary for me, but I finished it because it was a really short book. I was not connected to any of the characters at all. I don't like the way that it ended because one of them didn't get what they wanted. Again, female, male, female; it was just OK.
I was hesitant to continue when I realized it was a FFM relationship since that's usually not my cup of tea but Wynta had my attention. The twist and turns and character development had me hooked. Highly recommend.
Chile, these folks! First of all Miss Wynta Tyme, you really named that man Surtain like curtain?? LOL! I’m glad Laila had her awakening but damn was she selfish. Her foolishness did work out for Dom & Sur. Everyone involved is a world class eater and gets an HEA so a win is win.
Now I was hesitant to read this but…. It’s a true page turner! Not to be missed. Just glad everyone was happy in the end. Even has a cliffhanger! Don’t miss out.
DNF! I wanted to like it so bad but there is too much lovey dovey name calling. Every other word is a “beautiful, love, handsome face” it all seems inauthentic
