All Cáel Moore wants is a latté. Needing time alone from the others in his Irish music group Kilts, he is sneaking out the back door of the coffee shop when he witnesses a crime and is taken hostage. Injured in his escape attempt, he finds sanctuary at Molly Evans' cabin. But when he wakes up tied to Molly's bed, he discovers he has no memory of the event, or even his own name. And for some reason, Molly seems to think he only speaks Irish.
Molly is in hiding, too. She has sought sanctuary in the woods, hiding from her celebrity life, and is enjoying the peace. That is, until the sexy Irish man shows up at her door.
Despite the language barrier, their attraction to each other is strong, and sparks fly.
But Cáel is hiding a secret. If he tells her, he risks everything. If he doesn't, he may never get the chance to be with her again.
As both rescue and danger close in, which will Cáel choose? And will it be too late?
After working half her adult life as an American Sign Language interpreter, and then a few more years in the medical field, Jeanie Martin has finally found her calling.
Writing is her passion, and she treasures the paths her research takes her. Currently, she has followed that passion to her Irish roots, and is avidly absorbing as much of their language, culture, history and music as she can. Taking outstanding classes in these subjects from CKonLine is helping to feed the fire.
Besides learning about Irish history, Jeanie reads. A lot. Janet Evanovich, Dean Koontz, Tom Clancy, Karen Marie Moning…the list is endless. She'll read almost any genre…the only one she stays away from is horror. (She admits this is due to wanting to sleep at night). She is a huge fan of Celtic Thunder, and of its principle singers, Colm Keegan, Byrne & Kelly, Emmet Cahill, Emmett O'Hanlon, Keith Harkin. But she also enjoys Josh Groban, MercyMe, a little Macklemore, Lecrae, Brad Paisley, 2Cellos...
This is the first book I've read from this author and of this series and I loved it! The writing is fantastic. The story, just as great. Oh and the characters...amazing! I think all of the readers will agree that Cáel is HOTT! If you're looking for a new author, something fun, funny, exciting and romantic to read. Well, here ya go ;)
Well written and edited. This is a stand-alone book, with no cliffhanger.
I was happy to find that the second book in the series is just as good as the first, sticking with the Chick-Lit/Romantic Suspense style and introducing us to two even more likeable characters than the first book. Although there is suspense and some danger, at it's heart, this is a sweet story of two musicians connecting through music. Happily, there's also a little steam to go with the sweet.
While the first book had a smattering of Irish slang to work through, this book has lots of actual Irish phrases, most translated as part of the story, a few held back until the end, but there's a glossary at the end to help with both the pronunciation and the translation. The Irish sprinkled throughout was a big plus for me.
Strongly recommended to fans of hot Irish guys, Irish musicians, lovers of Washington state wilderness, romantic suspense and chick-lit.
Sexy, funny, suspenseful, life confirming, and even educational (if you count the Irish phrases you can learn)--this book has it all. Gorgeous boy, Cael, escapes from a vicious killer into the woods after witnessing a murder. He meets gorgeous girl, Molly, hiding out from her rock stardom in a secluded cabin. She treats his injuries. He wakes up staring into her soft mocha eyes. Predictable romance, you think? Not so fast. We hear what everyone is thinking, including the hero's Celtic band buddies, the rotten evil murderers, and the rock star's self-serving manager. There are so many twists and turns that you won't guess how it will end until the end. It makes me want to read the first Kilts book.
This is a lovely book with a new look on love and romance. I liked the kindled relationship between Cael and Molly. The language was great and perfectly expressed the feelings of the characters. I really enjoyed reading this book by this very nice author who gave me the opportunity to be a part of the final production!! I would definitely recommend this read and look forward to more books by this writer :)
