I think I'm right to expected much more from a "big book" of anything. This one features each character of the show on a separate page with a couple of pictures, basic information, and the motto. Nothing more. No story. Nothing new. Even a toddler wouldn't be satisfied (and mine wasn't).

I mean fine, the kids like looking at it but it’s literally just profiles of the main dogs. I wish it had the other dogs, such as Everest (my personal favorite pup), since she’s the only other girl dog in this stupid show, who is not even a regular character.

I borrowed this as an ebook and had no context to the length of the book except for its’ title. Being a “big book”, I expeced 5 or more paw patrol stories and was surprised when the book ended without any story. This book introduces the Paw Patrol team (Chase, Marshall, Rubble, Sky, Rocky, Zuma, Rider) and the Paw Patrol Tower. That's it.

Putting my surprise aside, the 3.5 year old was very excited to read through this book. He had the 6 Paw Patrol beside him and proudly brought them out as the book introduced them. He was stoked.

It's funny because he doesn't actually watch the show. He watches Genevieve’s Playhouse play with the Paw Patrol on YouTube.

Disapointed

I read books to special needs adults, I always ask "What story would you like me to read next week. Lisa asked for the Paws Patrol. Our local library did not have it so I searched Amazon. I can't afford to buy all the books they want me to read, but I found this for Kindle. Well there is no story here at all. This book only introduces the characters if I had known that I would not have purchased it. They do have other books where I think each pup has an adventure but I am not not going to buy anymore books. The title The Big Book of Paw Patrol is misleading.

This one is not a story like the typical Paw Patrol book. It introduces characters and their equipment, adventure bay, and how Paw Patrol operates. The paper version is great, but if you can get the digital read along version, DO IT! My 4 year old is jealous of his reading siblings. He wants to read without mom like they do. This gives him a little independence, hopefully builds some listening skills, and gives him content he loves at his level.
