What line would you cross for a friend?
Alison is missing. Sam, her brother comes to see his old friends, Raph and Mac, fearing the worse. After the search begins they find that there is more to her missing than they would have imagined. There are more lives at stake than just the one, maybe even their own.
I was born in New York City, but now I live just outside Atlanta. I work in the IT field for a day job and love that work because I learn something new almost every day. I am a fan of a variety of movies and television shows. I also love a large assortment of music.
This book was so silly I barely made it to the end and that wasn't easy. I got so sick of the immature banter that persisted between the two main characters during the investigation as if what they were investigation was one big joke. The whole book was a joke in my opinion. Definitely wouldn't recommend.
A good premise for a series of books, but this first one was held back by the writing style. There was far too much pointless conversation and not enough action for my taste. Significantly tightened up and livened up, then the series might have legs.
Raph and Mac are glad to help their friend Sam when he comes to them to tell them his twenty year old sister, Alison is missing. The two hit the streets in the search and may just uncover more than anyone thought was happening. This is a good suspense thriller. I love the characters and their special relationship the author has shared with readers.
I love it when I get a book that is amazing and has a little of a lot of different things to keep you wanting to keep reading to see what will happen next. Romance and suspense with out all the detailed sex scenes so many authors think we need in a good book. Thumbs up from me
I really enjoyed this story and all the unique characters. The chemistry between Raph and Mac is well written, you’ve got two guys who go way back and it’s apparent in their banter. With the ability to almost know what the other is thinking they make a great team and also know just how to push each other’s buttons. When their friend Sam comes to them for help finding his younger sister it looks like a simple enough case. But as soon as they start digging into Alison’s disappearance it becomes apparent there is a lot more going on than first meets the eye and things escalate very quickly. I liked the supporting cast of characters (James, Toni, Annabel, and Alex are some of my favorites), they all have a lot of heart and personality. I look forward to book 2, in which I’m hoping some of these characters make appearances, maybe it will be about another case that Mac and Raph are working on?
