New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Cassia Leo grew up in California and has lived in three different countries. She loves to travel and her dream is to one day score a record deal based on her awesome shower singing skills. She is the author of the Shattered Hearts series (Relentless, Pieces of You, Bring Me Home). She is also the author of the popular Luke and Chase series.
This was my first time reading anything by Cassia Leo. I'm not really sure what I expected but it certainly wasn't this. There were holes in the story, it was so far out in left field at times that some of the plot and twists I had a hard time with, I found myself scratching my heading and saying "WTF" - and not in a good way. Regardless of the holes in the story, there were areas that just felt underdeveloped. I know in novella series or serials they are meant to be short, which means stuff gets left out, but in this case there was untold story that I kept waiting to be explained or for things to happen that never did. The premise started off interesting enough with this girl who hides away, literally lives in the shadows and darkness because of her appearance, having been told her whole life she was basically a monster. We learn she had been hidden away by her parents for the first eighteen years of her life. This was all very intriguing. Enter a mysterious stranger that pushes into her life and off we go...sort of. That's where it started to unravel for me. As one secret after the next starts to be revealed it gets a bit more and more ridiculous. The time line is so short that I just can't keep up with the feelings these characters have for one another and the lengths they are going for each other. There is quite a bit of action and it all seemed ripped out of any one of your favorite action flicks. This was just one of those times, me and the book, just didn't hit it off.
Since this is really 3 books in 1 I am going to review each volume as I finish them that way if you have not read one of them you can skip the other reviews so there are no spoilers.
Unmasked: Volume 1: Alex was unloved when she was born. Her mother giving her up because she looked like a monster. At least that is what they told her. She was adopted to a father who was a Black Ops soldier and taught her to protect herself, he taught her to fight, to defend, and even to kill. Her mother is a different story. She did not love Alex and treated her like a monster. Both of them hide her away (for her own safety of course) in the basement. That is where she spent her 18 years on this earth. Training, studying, alone......
Until she moves out at 18 and makes her own way into the world. But Alex lives in darkness because of a skin disorder that makes her feel hideous and ugly. She works the midnight shift at the gas station, she only leaves the house under the cover of night, wearing all black and a hoody that hides her features.
On the way to work one night she witnesses a murder and has to uncover the clues to figure out this mystery man who has now invaded her life. This one night will change Alex's life and her mask will have to come off in order to survive. Alex lives off the grid for the most part so disappearing should be easy.
The night of the murder brought on so many changes for Alex: Her first kiss, first touch, first sexual encounter, first time she killed someone, first time she trusted someone....
Soon she figures out her mystery man and has to make her choice to stay or flee. Which will take us into the next part of this story.
I really like Alex and I am hoping that since she has to take off the MASK that she will begin to love herself. I wanted to know more about the mystery man and his REAL story.
I have questions such as: 1) How does he know her background? 2) If what he said was true about her parents then why was he assigned to her? 3) Who "assigned" him to her? 4) How is he a detective with his "assignments" as a side job?
I do not think Volume 2 will answer any of those questions because of the ending of Volume 1.
Rating: 3 STARS ******************************* --Spoiler Alert-- I did not think that Volume 2 would answer my questions but some have been answered.
Volume 1 ended with Alex killing Daimon. Alex questioned the fact that Daimon was dead. Alex hoped he wasn't because she loves him and feared that he wasn't because he would kill her. She felt remorse for the fact that Daimon could have been telling the truth about her parents and for the fact that he could have really been in love with her as well.
Alex feels as if she is being watched which makes her wonder if Daimon is alive and watching her or if she is just losing her mind and paranoid.
Alex escapes to an island (I believe in Spain or Mexico, not sure which continent they are on) where she meets Nick. Alex is now going by the name Alyssa and she is very skeptical of Nick. She tries to find out more information on the gorgeous neighbor but it ends with her getting no information and her finding more trouble for herself to have to get out of.
I find myself wondering what Nick "really does" for a living. We find out that there is more information on Nick that Alex needs to know. Nick comes clean with Alex about the fact that he knows her name is not Alyssa and he knows about her birth parents. Her father wants her to meet with him. Alex is suspicious but agrees to go so she can kill both of her ROYAL parents. At least that is her plan.
She is still trying to figure out why she SMELLS Daimon all the time and who this mysterious Hoodie wearing black man is that she keeps seeing passing her house. She knows it is not a good sign and will have to flee soon. She also founds out some exciting and disturbing news from the doctors office.
Here are questions going into Volume 3:
Why is a girl that has been trained by a Black Ops father so easy to find after taking a new identity, especially since she lived OFF the GRID in the first place? If Daimon loves Alex what is his plan to save her from the princess killing her and collecting the money? Where exactly does this Crow guy fit into the scenario? Will her father love Alex the way he should have all along? Did her father know that she was alive the whole time? Why does her own mother want her dead? Will Alex forgive Daimon and be happy that he is alive? Will Alex be able to trust Daimon? What will Alex tell Nick and how will Alex feel once she knows that Nick lied to her?
Rating: 2 1/2 STARS *************************** --Spoiler Alert-- Volume 3 opens with Daimon showing Alex that he is alive, that he still loves her, and he knows that she is carrying their baby. Daimon tries to tell her the more of her past and the truth about her parents and the prince and princess. Daimon tells her that Nick is a bounty hunter but Alex does not believe him until things start to fall into place.
Nick and Alex are on a boat racing to get to the plane to take her to meet her parents. But Nick slips up and calls her Alex. Can someone please tell me if that was a flaw on the writers part because I remember Nick telling Alex that he knows her name is not Alyssa and is Alex and that her parents are the prince and princess. So my question is even though he continued to call her Alyssa how was that a slip REALLY. I think Alex confirmed the information when she agreed to meet her "parents".
Here were my questions going into Volume 3 & the answers given:
Why is a girl that has been trained by a Black Ops father so easy to find after taking a new identity, especially since she lived OFF the GRID in the first place? Not sure not really answered except for the fact that Alex is a bit naive since she was locked away for the first 18 years of her life. If Daimon loves Alex what is his plan to save her from the princess killing her and collecting the money? This is answered but I don't want to spoil it. Where exactly does this Crow guy fit into the scenario? He is Daimon's partner sent to finish the job (killing Alex) if Daimon can not accomplish the task. Will her father love Alex the way he should have all along? The father issue was never really addressed and I was very confused when it came to the parents. The mother I understood she was the bad guy but the father I felt like we needed more clarification. He still loved and supported his wife even though he JUST found out that the princess was paying a hitman to kill there daughter. A daughter he did not know existed until 2 months ago. Still have questions on this one. Did her father know that she was alive the whole time? No, he said he found out 2 months ago. Why does her own mother want her dead? All I understood was that it was because of her skin condition and that the princess did not want people to know that Alex was HER daughter. Will Alex forgive Daimon and be happy that he is alive? Yes Alex is happy that Daimon is alive and she eventually forgives him. Will Alex be able to trust Daimon? Yes over time. What will Alex tell Nick and how will Alex feel once she knows that Nick lied to her? No time to tell Nick much of anything once the action starts on the boat and racing against time. And Alex is really pissed that Nick lied to her but she takes care of the situation. I feel that the story had a nice ending and the characters have that HAPPY EVER AFTER feeling but I'm not positive that I liked it. Of course I like when I have closure to the characters and this Volume 3 gives you closure. But Daimon was a really bad guy and sometimes I don't want the bad guy to have the happy ending. I like that Daimon changed because of his love for Alex and that Alex made him a good person. But that does not erase the bad that Daimon did in his life. It is something that the character struggles with and I can see why he struggles.
"The anticipation is half the fun. Wouldn’t you agree, Alex?”
I had the chance to read “Unmasked” before it was released as a complete series. You can imagine how desperate i was back then to know what was going to happen. Waiting for weeks for the other 2 books to come out. Believe me when I tell you, It was torture. You are lucky you get to read the complete series now.
This series is definitely a Five Dark-Beautiful ✭✭✭✭✭ Stars. If you like a Fast Amazing Paced, Can't-Stop-Reading-This-Because-I-Need-to-Know-What-the-Hell-is-going-on story, Well "Unmasked" is the series you must read.
“The lies we tell ourselves have more power to destroy us than any lie we are ever told by another.”
Cassia has done it AGAIN! She just surprised all her fans. This is very different from previous books, let me tell you. This is a whole different scenario. This is dark and I love it!
Alex is not you typical damsel in distress and not your typical girl. She's different. Everything about her is different. She is unexpected. I liked her immediately. Daimon. Oh good lord of Lust. That man is a mystery. A very sexy mystery. You will be fascinated by his actions. The way he talks. The way he commands. I don't have to say I am already in love with him!
This series is addictive, brilliant, intriguing, mysterious, not predictable, surprising and unexpected.
“My purpose is to save her. To love her. And I will stop at nothing to do just that.”
You will have lots of questions, but there will be answered. Don’t worry about that. Everything that happens here has a purpose.
“In the light and in the dark. With a mask or without. I love everything about you.”
There’s drama, suspense and hot & steamy sex scenes. It’s an action-packed story and I Highly Recommend it.
I look into his eyes, relishing the sensation of his breath on my face for a moment before I answer. “Without the darkness, there would be no light.”
After being cast aside at birth, I spent the first eighteen years of my life sheltered from the harsh reality of my existence. But you can’t un-write a sad story if the ending is literally written all over your face.
So I moved out, and now I hide. I have a night job that pays the bills. Every night, I put on my mask and walk to work. Then one night, I hear and see something that will change my life forever: a murder that will bring him to me.
He says he wants to protect me. And through a series of events I can’t fully make sense of, I find myself believing him. But our nightly visits are always cloaked in darkness. I don’t know his face and he will never know mine.
I was born into this world unwanted. I will leave this world unmasked.

I was very intrigued by the concept of this book and Cassia Leo did an excellent job. Well thought out with many twist and turns. While in the beginning I found Daimon and Alex's relationship to be a little odd it did grow on me as I continued the story. I will admit I am so glad I waited until the whole series was released or I would have been biting my nails waiting for the next installment! While Alex definitely has her issues and hangups I loved that the female lead was such a strong character, mentally and physically. Absolutely wonderful read! I recommend this for anyone looking to step out of their comfort zone or if you are looking for something different then the usual they meet fall in love and live happily ever after. Heck if your just looking for a good book you found your answer!
Extremely loose story... Meaning holes in the plot that the author did not close. As the story progressed I got a bit more annoyed. No explanation as to why the father wanted the h to be a vegetarian. Small issue but it was supposed to give a glimpse into the h's upbringing by a father we never meet and insight to the "crazy" mom. Lots of dead bodies in the second story, with apparently no repercussions or reason for why they were in the book. No need for the relationship with bounty hunter in the second book... Twists or details started then just left...No explanation for the resources the H had or the connections. Lots of holes... But I did like the interactions with the H and h... Sexy but not enough to overcome the shortcomings of the rest of the plot.
This could have been a good story but it just seemed to be missing any oomph. Much of it was completely unbelievable and this comes from someone who regularly reads paranormal romance! So many times you think, she figured all that out from that little piece of evidence, but then later you turn around and wonder if she could find her hand if it weren't attached. One moment brilliant and the next clueless about pretty much everything. SPOILERS: Why the Prince and Princess would get up and go into an empty room with them was a complete mystery. Made no sense and after killing every innocent bystander to let someone trying to kill her get away, but blackmail for money they just give away. Ummm what?!!! I didn't even see the point of any of it. How they go in love never seeing each other or having actual conversations is another give me a break storyline. I gave it three stars because the author can write, but she needs a co writer to more fully develop her ideas and call her on all those that just don't make sense as they are. I kind if felt like this girl walked around in a dreamy fog through the book. It's got bones, but it just ends there.
4 Stars Very entertaining read. Thought I had the h figured out and the wham! The end of book one hits and I'm like, WTH? The main characters were wonderfully odd and very contradictory but it def made for entertainment! The life of an assassin is to be cold hearted when you do the deed, I get that, then one of them starts praying and wonder why karma would come and get them as they are so innocent! I had to shake my head at those things but really they were part of the make up of the characters' personalities, as in, it takes a very different character to compartmentalize killing people so coldly and without much of a thought then to turn around and live like you were a normal person. For all of that, I have to say that I really liked the books! I didn't relate to the characters at all but it was fun to read about them and get a glimpse of how they operated.

I enjoyed this series more than I thought I would. The beginning was a bit confusing, keeping all the characters straight, but once I got it all straight, the story flowed nicely.
Alex suffers from a disorder where her skin, hair and eyes are various colors. She has been kept hidden away from the world because of this, or so she has been told. When she turns 18, she moves out of her parents house to get a way from their overbearing ways. They have trained her to be lethal in combat. One night, she sees her father being murdered and plans her revenge against the murderer.
When she meets Damon, she can't help but be attracted to him, but she knows she needs to avenge her father's death. Damon tells her a different story and she is not sure what she believes. She isn't sure who to trust and who to run from.
Although there are quite a few sex scenes in this book (too many in my opinion), the mystery aspect of the story was strong enough to keep it very interesting and entertaining. Good read.
Alex spends the first 18years of her life brought up by a mum who doesn't seem to love her and puts her down. And a father who trains her how to kill. Alex moves out and hides. Working at night , and keeping to herself After she witnesses a murder one night Daimon a detective enters her life. Is he who he says he is , or is there something else altogether going on. " The monsters we can't see are the scariest ones of all".
Unmasked The Complete Series by Cassia Leo: 4 stars Daimon has a contract to kill Alex.. Alex is a 19yo chimera, who has been secluded in an adopted home and rigidly trained/army style her entire life. But. So many secrets! This story is a bit of a roller coaster, full of mind games and hidden agendas. Good read overall, but the ending was a bit abrupt. —PTators
Decent version of 'criminals with an honor code' finding love. I'm not a big fan of the 'unreliable narrator' and there are some significant plot holes, but overall entertaining. I'm glad I scored this a 99c deal on the complete set. The cliff-hangers would have made me nuts.
Hmm…. The storyline was sort of intriguing, but I don’t think it was portrayed very well. Or maybe there just wasn’t enough there to make me love this book. It was ok….
Well, it is a story of two people who are more alike than they thought at first. Their chosen profession was weird, unique and dangerous. Through all the cloak and dagger, and blood letting (yep), they did get together, and their HEA. It was an ups and downs story with enemies seemingly friendly. I love the fact that Alex could hold her own in fights and whatnots. Good read…
What a great story! I literally could not put my kindle down until the final page.
“The monsters we can’t see are the scariest ones of all.” Alex grows up in the dark, in the basement learning to kill, learning to protect herself, hearing her mother tell her that the monsters you can’t see are the scariest ones of all. Alex knows her mother is referring to her because Alex doesn’t look like all the other little boys and girls and after one day of school when the children laugh at her she is never allowed to go back and Alex is hidden away in the basement. Alex doesn’t figure out until much, much later that the monsters her mother was talking about were the ones in her head and not her.
When the story opens Alex is 18 and she’s free and has been living on her own for 8 months. She still lives in the dark – it’s easier to hide there. But one night she sees a murder while walking in the dark to her job at the 24 hour gas station. She decides running home is her best course of action and she has to fight her way through 3 thuggish teenage boys to get there, possibly killing one, and receiving a serious wound in the process. She can’t go to the doctor without exposing herself. Can loner Alex who lives in the dark open her door to the man representing himself as a police detective who says he just wants to help? After all he’s the one who committed the murder she was running from witnessing.
Detective Daimon Rouseau. Beautiful and dangerous – that much she can tell even in the dark. He thinks she is beautiful too, though Alex believes it is only because he’s never seen her in the light, something she plans never to allow. But feelings are developing, scary new feelings, but can she trust him? And who is he really anyway? And who was it that he killed?
This is a story like an onion that just keeps peeling away, layer after layer. Fully drawn characters, twists and turns. Hot hot hot love scenes, and they are “love scenes”, which is a nice switch. All in all a fast paced, suspenseful, edge of your seat thrill a minute happily ever after romance. They don’t make them any better. Love love love loved it.
Volume 1 (This one is my previous review of Vol.1 before I bought the complete series.)
Oh, boy. What the heck did I just read!? I almost quit it at first because I couldn't make any sense with this book. I don't know what was wrong with Alex appearance until Daimon started to showed up. And like Alex, I was hooked and wait for him to come. The way the author wrote it I felt I like I was the one who was in the dark. The ending was jaw dropping. Was she seriously did that? The writing style was dragged at some point. The way Alex tended her wound with details; I didn't need to know that.
I barely knew a thing and I should be angry and want nothing to do with it but I was intrigued I need to read the next part. Speaking of which, I don't agree with the way authors do with these serial stories lately, I want to pay for a book not a part of it. Unfortunately. I had no choice but buy Part two. I want to know what is it with Alex. And Daimon said that they were the same. I need to know what is it.
Volume 2 As Alex, I didn't think Daimon was dead. I was so grateful for Daimon's POV. It let me what I wanted to know. I thought Nick was a potential love interest until he left her unsatisfied the first time. Though, I wonder if he had some feeling for Alex or just being a guy and took an opportunity while he could.
I was a little bit bored with this volumw. I didn't think Alex was good at lying. All the lies she told felt like, well, lies. There was some thing a bit off about the storyline that I couldn't put my finger on it.
Volume 3 Unfortunately, a potential story from volume 1 turned out to be flat in the volume 3. The storyline was easy, nothing complicated any situations. Who was Nick? Just a random bounty hunter? There were so much loose ends. Like with the prince and princess of Monaco. What a lazy protection system they had. It shouldn't be that easy. The page numbering was seriously wrong.
It made me hesitate to read other stories from this author. Sadly, I've already bought some.

Alex leaves home at the age of 19 after being raised as a trained killer and has never left her house in almost as many years. She only goes out in the dark afraid of what people will say about her. She was raised to believe that she is ugly and unwanted.
But in the darkness she finds a man who is kind, gentle and wants to be with her. She has never had a person touch her or kiss her.
Daimon shows Alex a softer, kinder side to life. And how love should be. But he has a secret. A huge one!!
This book is amazing! The twists and turns will keep you on the edge of your seat. Fantastic book that will leave you wanting more.
Book2:
The second book in the series does not disappoint. As good if not better than book one.
Now that Alex has experienced loved she can not get it out of her mind. But can she find love again?
Alex is having second thoughts about what happened the last time she was with Daimon. And thinks about him often. But that doesn't stop her from running and hiding.
Can she find real love again and while she is on the run?
Alex starts to trust again and let her guard down. That may not be the best thing for her though. Is this new man really who he says he is? Can he be trust? And why does she keep feeling like Daimon is there.
Getting Daimon's POV in this book was wonderful. I enjoyed learning his feelings and thoughts.
Book3:
Fantastic, heart pounding conclusion to this story!! Cassia does it again with the series. It is fantastic. There is not a dull moment. The story keep me intrigued till the very end. Emotionally charged.
I loved it!! Could not put it down. OMG!!
Alex has to face her biggest nightmare head on.
The truth finally comes out about who is really wearing a mask and who is telling the truth.
Daimon and Alex are hot together!!
But is hot sex enough? Will real love conquer the past and the demons hiding in the dark?
Are these two able to come clean and still stay together?
Vol 1.. I have never read a book like this before. It was an edge of your seat thriller from start to finish. It was suspenseful, dramatic and extremely erotic, I am completely hooked. Alex, the young girl, hidden by her parents and locked away from the world, ventures out to face the world alone and lives her life in a world of darkness. Alex rarely ventures out during the daylight hours and keeps her home darkened as well. Then along comes Daimon, a mysterious allusive character, with his own secrets and his own story to tell. He immediately gets under Alex’s skin (in more ways than one)! This book had so many great twists and turns that I didn’t know what was going to happen next, the ending was completely unexpected and left me wondering what will happen in Vol 2. This is again going to be a bestselling series by the ever so talented Cassia Leo.
Vol 2..The entire time l was reading, my mind was continually thinking and trying to work out the characters. Do l trust them, do l not, is that the truth or is it not. Are the next door neighbors for real or can l not trust them either. l feel like a detective from CSI! We learn more about the characters and their pasts in Book 2 and we meet new characters. Alex remains vigilant but her true feelings are becoming harder for her to suppress.
Vol 3..Love Love Love this series by Cassia Leo. Certainly a different type of series than her other books but absolutely fantastic. This is the final book in this three part series and wow did it end in a bang! Like the others this book was full of suspense, mystery and hotness! I loved that in this one we learnt more about Daimon and we saw a different side to his personality which I loved. We also saw a more vulnerable side to both Daimon and Alex. I liked that at the end of each chapter, you never really knew what was going to happen next and that you really couldn't predict the ending, so you just wanted to keep reading to get to it. A must read series.
What a detour from the usual books I’m used to reading from Cassia Leo.
This story is dark, intriguing, unpredictable and shrouded in mystery that I was literally on the edge of my seat while reading. I am so glad I got to read the complete series and not the separate installments because I was so anxious to see what was coming next as I read page after page.
Alex is so unlike any of her other heroines. She is not a damsel in distress. She doesn’t need rescuing because she is more than capable of taking care of herself. As a matter of fact, she is one bad a$$ character. Yet for all her abilities to be on her own, she is still emotionally vulnerable and like everyone, looking for love.
Daimon…wow, what a sexy mystery of a man. His words, his actions, his way of taking control and commanding, rather than asking...The way he is with Alex is just beyond sexy and addicting.
I fell in love with these characters. I wanted to see them together. I wanted their troubles to disappear. You get lots of drama, secrets that need to be unraveled, action galore, and so much sexy time between these two that my kindle was in a constant state of fog.
You will be surprised many times while reading, the plot twists constantly keeping you guessing and anxious to know what’s coming.
I have read lots of Cassia Leo's books and loved them. I was not disappointed with this set either! Wow! I can't believe that Alex was not wanted, by the Princess much less Lisa. For Lisa it was all about the money. In my mind, her dad cared about her....just not enough. Everything her dad taught her in the first 18 years of her life was to prepare her for her future so it was obvious he cared a little bit. Her dad knew Alex would need a fighting chance. Then when Daimon shows up and he learns more about Alex and ends up protecting her...well, things get a little crazy. Daimon is everything Alex needs and never knew she was lacking! Daimon is her light after so much darkness. They are beautiful people. I like how Cassia Leo defines them so well. They are both hardened people but the author gives them heart, dimension. You end up rooting for them to have a happy ending. Hot Sex and gorgeous men can always help the woman come out of her shell. I also like that Alex is not a whiny little girl who can't do anything for herself. Alex has dealt with so much darkness, adversity, and hatred in her life that she knows how to handle herself in any situation! Alex and Daimon make the most excellent and delicious team!
Cassia Leo has captured my heart and soul with this dangerously dark tale, and I don't know that I'll ever be the same after reading it! Alex is a very different type of heroine...unforgettable!
"The monsters we can't see are the scariest ones of all"
Alex is told this from a very young age by her "mother" and you really don't fully understand what this means until near the end, when Alex FINALLY gets some closure to the absolute nightmare that was her life until she was 18.
Daimon is almost as damaged as Alex, but Alex has somehow gotten into his head and heart and he can't do what he has been contracted to do! As the story unfolds, you are drawn in deeper and deeper into the mystery and intrigue and you fall hopelessly in love with both Alex and Daimon!
The chemistry between Alex and Daimon is incredible! The mystery, suspense and drama throughout this series is totally addictive and I'm really sad that it's finished! Cassia has written an erotic, darkly delicious, fast-paced series that I highly recommend to anyone who likes their heroines kick-ass with a heart of gold and their heroes dominant, gorgeous and off-the-charts sexy! I simply couldn't put it down!
Cassia Leo has once again drawn me right in with her writing. To have the complete series at my fingertips was great. I didn't have to wait for the next one to see what was coming.
We are brought into Alex and Daimon's world. As the series moves forward we learn more about these two. There are several twists and turns that will leave you wondering what just happened.
Once you get started you will not want to put it down. There is mystery, suspense, action, and love with a little darkness thrown in. If you like on the edge of your seat reads, I highly recommend you 1-click and get stared today. I have read several of Cassia's books and series and she continues to pull me in. I don't even have to read the synopsis on a book, if Cassia has written it I am definitely going to read it. Thank you for another great series, I look forward to what is coming next.
Well? It wasn't horrible, just very disconnected. I saw a lot of potential in this story, but it never really came together for me. I thought there was very little chemistry between the leads, I never got a good feel for Damion’s presence at all, and using Monaco as a 'prop' felt too commercial. In the end, I just couldn't connect with the plot. The story jumped around a lot, asking too much of the reader to put it all together when there wasn't a tether. You start out with a potentially dark erotic mystery/romance, and end with Lucy and Desi with guns? I realize this author has quite a following, and a lot of people liked this series, but I found the read to be a bit sluggish and fragmented. I might try another by this author, but I’m in no hurry. I would have given it 2 stars, but it did have potential…in the beginning.
This series had an interesting, but unusual plot and that's what drew me in. I'd describe this series as action-packed erotica.Volume One was by far the BEST in this trilogy; it drew me in and had me looking forward to seeing where the story would go. Volumes Two and Three seemed very rushed and as a result were full of plot holes that were never resolved. I felt that the plot was severely underdeveloped in Volumes Two and Three that it detracted from the overall plot. I have mixed feelings about how Volume Three ended; did they decide to retire before completing the hit for $18 million or not? This volume was all over the place and left a lot of unanswered questions. The ONLY redeeming qualities about this series are the well written sex scenes and action sequences.
Ho sognato piume a go go!!!
Alex is such a unique character. She has lead a very rough life. Definitely not a life a child and young lady should have to live. I really liked Damion from the start. I knew there seemed to be something off with him but had no idea what it could be. I just couldn't put this series down. I never knew what was gonna happen next. So many things happen that keep me guessing and thinking one thing then a chapter later I'm second guessing myself and on to another theory. So much excitement and twists and turns throughout. It ended on such a sweet note too. Read this series. You are missing out if you don't.

Wow .. This was a wild story from the beginning till the end. I never know what was going to happen next and I loved every bit of it.
This is not like Cassia Leo's other romances that make your heart hurt with tears of happiness and loss. This book brings light to the darkness. My heart was breaking for the way Alex was living the first part of her life in the dark with no love. Then there is the man in the dark hoodie that is always hiding that awakened something in her and makes her see the truth in the dark. Alex's journey throughout the 3 book series in full of heartbreak, intrigue, and danger.
