When I first started this, I'll be honest..I didn't like it and almost didn't want to keep reading it. Hunter was a man whore, Chelsea seemed clueless and her BFF was a slut. If my BFF hooked up with the man I liked and the man I liked hooked up with my best friend that would be it. No more...but no....Chelsea chose to forgive and forget (which I could never do). Another thing that confused the hell out of me, when I first started reading this, I thought that Hunter was a lot older...it talked about him being the oldest on the team, etc. etc....not realizing he was still in college. He was portrayed at first as being a lot older person. I had to go back and re read to make sure I hadn't miss read. I guess with all the hell he had been through, emotionally he was older.

Poor Chelsea..she has a psycho ex boyfriend, a psycho bff and a man whore who she is falling for....What's a poor girl to do.

The story concept itself was good and for the most part, the story was told rather well. Once we got passed the psycho best friend and Hunter stopped being a man whore (well except for his going away party), the story picked up.

I will admit, I did have a few tears that I shed, a few LOL moments and even a heart twinge or two but those didn't come until later. Hunter had a few romantic and sweet moments.

I wasn't too happy with the editing on this book. There were many missing words, etc. It made it kind of distracting.

I gave this 4 stars only because of the story line itself. It did get better as it went along but there were a few things I could have done without. As a beta reader and content editor, I wish I had gotten my hands on this before it was published.

Would I recommend this book: Yes
Would I read more from this author: Probably

get through many challenges to find love.
A lot seems to happen in a short period of time (less than a year from what i can tell best) It's a bit overwhelming. The 2 main characters come together stronger with each circumstance that happens.
To me the story wrapped up after the stalker was found. then it wraps up after the fire. Almost like 3 books in one. Lots of drama for such a short time period. I would have been 5 stars with less drama or a longer time period (like 3 book series over years of a relationship)
The story is solid, the love is solid, I'm looking forward to reading more books by Victoria Adams

Ok, the first half of this book was a little slow, but a lot happens. I was halfway done and saw there was a lot more book left. This is like two different books in one. If you do nothing else, keep reading! By the end of this book I had tears running down my cheeks.

It is more than a book about a hockey player and the girl he finds. Soooo much more to this book. I really liked it. The ending and the Epilogue was perfect in my eyes. Give this book a chance!!!!
