Kayla never meant to kill her stepfather—well... maybe she did. After years of his abuse, the knife in her hand felt like justice. But disposing of a body? That wasn’t something she’d planned for. Desperate, she turns to an old passion, half-believing the words scribbled in her diary will never work. But when one of the Seven Princes of Hell, Asmodeus, steps through the summoning circle, smirking and all too willing to help, Kayla realizes she’s in deeper than she ever imagined.
He cleans up her mess. No questions asked. No immediate price. But demons don’t work for free, and Asmodeus has plans of his own. When Kayla’s detective boyfriend finds the very knife she thought was gone with the body, she knows she’s been played. Confronting Asmodeus only earns her pain, but the real horror is yet to come—her power to summon demons isn’t random. It’s inherited. Because her father isn’t just anyone. And now... He's coming for her.
I want to start by thanking the author for this ARC
Bound to You starts off with a bang—literally. We meet Kayla just as she kills her abusive stepfather and summons a demon for help. Enter Julian, aka Asmodeus, one of the Princes of Hell, who’s dark, dangerous, and surprisingly charming. The premise hooked me immediately, and I was intrigued by the demon lore and the promise of a reverse harem paranormal romance.
The beginning is fantastic—dark, tense, and full of potential. That said, while I really enjoyed the beginning, the second half felt rushed. Big reveals and action scenes happened so quickly that I didn’t have time to fully absorb them, and the romantic connections leaned heavily into instalove, which isn’t quite my thing. I would’ve loved more time to explore the relationships, as well as Kayla’s journey.
If you enjoy paranormal romance with morally gray characters, a fast-moving plot, and steamy, supernatural stakes, this might be a fun read for you! I’d be curious to see how the story develops in future books!
4.5 ⭐️ I throughly enjoyed this! I went into it not really knowing what to think but honestly it shocked me! The first few chapters of a book for me are so important and from the first page it had me reeled in!
The book follows Kayla who has always been interested in the underworld. She does something unthinkable and needs help but doesn't know who she can trust. She decides to try to sumon a demon which to her suprise, works. She makes a deal with the devil to help her with her situation but doesn't realise what shes done.
As she goes on, she discovers things about her family and past she isn't sure she wants to hear but has no choice but to fight to survive.
The book isn't left on a cliffhanger but it does have an ending that had me UGLY crying.
Tropes are
found family ✅️ why choose ✅️ enemies to lovers ✅️ touch her and die, literally ✅️
The author did a really amazing job with this - the pace is perfect and its really well written. Cannot wait for book 2! ⭐️🔥
Prepare for battle. I don't forgive you for this ending. Why???😭😭😭
If you are looking for a book that goes fast, does not slow down and that will keep you on your toes all the time, this is the perfect book for you.Who doesn't love demons?👹 At the same time 🙈 girl how????How is she still alive???
I can't wait to see what adventure you take us on with the next one. I can't wait for you to introduce us better to the rest of the "team" 😅.
Read as an ARC. Interesting premise for a story and I enjoyed the Female Main Character. My favourite part of this story was the opening few paragraphs - because you dive ride into the story and the drama.
First of, I just want to declare that I love Anna Kat Taylor, I Connor believe you put me in the dedication and as an actual character in the book 🥹 AND you spelled my name right 🥰 but back to the book, so we have an accidental summoning where something goes wrong (of course), this is one of them plots where I don’t know how to talk about it without spoiling anything but believe me when I say it had a really engaging plot and one where you can’t predict how the story is going to go 😏 also if you liked the show titans then I can see you liking this 😏
I read this as a beta reader. it was amazing , I love it so much . I can't wait till everyone can read it so they can love it as much as I do . I love that she's badass and the boys are so different and exactly what she needs. it's chefs kiss
I found this to be a pretty enjoyable read with an easy to follow storyline. I loved the main characters. There were moments in the story where I was sat on the edge of my seat, and the ending... Well, maybe I do have the ability to feel emotion after all.
With this book being written by an indie author, I guess there hasn't been another person to go through and spell/grammar check? So there are a few things I noticed on that side of things - BUT I have not let that affect my rating. I've rated this book based on what I thought of the plot and characters.
I would love to read the next book in this series whenever that might be.
If you love spicy paranormal romance where pretty much all of the characters are morally grey, a fast-paced plot and high stakes, you’ll really enjoy this book 🖤⛓️🥀💀
This book is such a good mix of light and dark which was quite refreshing! The humour in it really reminded me of the Glimmer Falls series at times!
Dark paranormal romance. He’s one of the princes of hell. Like come on?!!
This one was jam packed pull of action. if slow burn is more your shteez, maybe this one isn’t for you because it’s super fast paced, I know this is something that a lot of people prefer so it’s not a negative!
And kept me on my toes! And of course I do love me some morally gray characters. And that ending…. 👀
Maybe more of a 3.75 for me. Rounded up because it was an easy read.
I absolutely loved this! Not my usual genre so wasn’t too sure what to expect but the writing is strong. I love the main characters (yes please to demon wings 😉) and the twists along the way. Excited to see where the next story goes.
I read this as an ARC and it was definitely not what I would have chosen to read for myself. However, I enjoyed it. Strong characters throughout. It sets the scene for future books and a strong main female character is always appreciated by me.
I found this to be such an easy read, and was very enjoyable! I was lucky enough to read this as an ARC! The pace was great, you dive straight into the story from the beginning and I felt captivated throughout the entire story!
