Over two thousand years ago, Julius Caesar lost a weapon of untold power in a shipwreck.

When Adriana Villa goes missing during her search for a device called, The Eye of Zeus, former government agent Sean Wyatt is called in by the president to find what it was she was looking for. Once more, Wyatt is in a race against time as he speeds across the world to Rome, Athens, and to the Ionian Sea. He must unlock the riddles that have baffled historians and treasure seekers for thousands of years if he is to discover the mysterious object.

But he is not the only one searching for The Eye of Zeus. There is another player in the game, and with his wealth and power, he might be able to leverage the balance to suit his evil desires, which will mean financial ruin for all of Europe, and perhaps the world.

Along the way, Sean and his sidekick, Tommy Schultz, find themselves in a pulse-pounding race to the prize filled with bullets, close quarters combat, and an underwater treasure that could alter the course of history.

˃˃˃ If Indiana Jones and Jason Bourne had a kid together, his name would be Sean Wyatt.

The Grecian Manifesto is Ernest Dempsey's fourth book into the genre of thrillers and mysteries, and is one of his best sellers. This story takes the characters across the globe on a wild adventure that, if not kept suppressed, could cause major political and financial upheaval.

Travel with Sean Wyatt as he pieces together a sequence of ancient riddles in this suspense packed thriller.

˃˃˃ Action hotter than running barefoot through death valley. In July.

If you love fast, up-tempo stories that don't get bogged down in a lot of bull, this series of thrillers is for you. With suspense and romance, conspiracies and secret societies, mystery, and white hot action, you're sure to keep turning the pages until you realize the story just ended. But beware, this book is not for the faint of heart. In the world of high stakes adventure, things can get pretty violent. Consider yourself warned.

˃˃˃ Interview with the Author

Q: What made you want to write an international mystery series like this?

A: I grew up watching movies like Indiana Jones and The Goonies. Those movies were so fascinating to me. I always wanted to be an adventurer that discovered ancient treasures, not for the financial wealth, but because I always thought, and still think, it must be so amazing to find something that someone left hidden hundreds or thousands of years before. At that moment, you are the first person to see that artifact in a long time. I also love suspense action fiction stories. Jack Reacher, Jason Bourne, Jack Ryan, are all pulp heroes I enjoy following. It seemed logical to make Sean Wyatt like one of those guys, but one that also has a background in history.

Q: There are several books in the Sean Wyatt series. In what order should they be read?

A: The first three are a trilogy, but you can read them out of order if you really want to. I'd start with The Secret of the Stones and then go to The Cleric's Vault and The Last Chamber. The Grecian Manifesto is the fourth book in the series and, like all the forthcoming books in the series, will stand alone.

I will admit that I don't usually leave a review for books. I'll rate and read and move on. However....

I started reading this series not knowing anything about the author. I was looking for another series to read and stumbled upon this.

I enjoy the series and the characters and the books have a lot of action that keep me pulled in. I thank Ernest Dempsey for that.

The only thing I am having a hard time with is the editing. Each book I've read I keep hoping that somehow, somewhere, someone is reading the reviews on this site and sees that there are gramatical errors in these books that reviewers are pointing out. But that hasn't happened. I know I'm not an editor or publisher, but seriously? When a car "slams on its breaks", that has got to raise a flag.

I know I'm only 4 books in to this series, but I really hope that it gets better.....

REVIEW: THE GRECIAN MANIFESTO by Ernest Dempsey [A Sean Wyatt Adventure #4]

Easygoing Sean Wyatt attended university, worked as a covert agent for a secret Federal agency, then served the International Archaeological Agency. University went well; the next two life stages did not. There was lots of gunplay and danger, injury and wracked nerves. So with funds to spare, Sean Wyatt retired and opened a Gulf surf shop. That is, he tried to retire, but when you're that talented, and that well-known in certain covert circles, you're bound to be recalled.

Ernest Dempsey, like his protagonist Sean Wyatt, has a light-hearted approach which makes every book in the series an entertaining, likable, fast-and-furious read.

I received this book as an audiobook free from the author in exchange for an honest review. Another great Sean Wyatt thriller as he races to find a hidden ancient artifact to save Adriana Villa and to prevent world political and financial ruin at the request of The President. This book is full of action, adventure, and suspense and the author does an excellent job of developing the characters. I found it difficult to turn off once I started listening. This is an excellent book that I recommend to anyone who enjoys action, suspense, and searching for hidden ancient artifacts.

The Grecian Manifesto is a real thrill ride of an adventure that takes the characters across the world on a wild adventure. Sean Wyatt must piece together a series of ancient riddles in order to suppress a major political and financial upheaval. Fast paced story with plenty of twists and turns , and suspense i couldn't wait to see what would happen next.

Pretty decent book. Sean Wyatt saves the day again. Dempsey keeps you reading and waiting for the next adventure. I wished he would drag out the story about 100 more pages.

Loved this series. Read first four books in a week. Dirk Pitt look out. I read many Clive Cussler novels, I have to say I like Ernest Dempsey are more fun, as there not quite so technical.

Loved it!

This is my first Ernest Dempsey novel, bought on a whim. Totally enjoyable! If you love a fast paced adventure, where the good guys really ARE good guys, doing their best to live with honesty & respect, where they are more about doing the right thing, & not just going for fame & fortune, where the dialog doesn’t just spiral down to nasty language, give this one a try.
I had actually heard of the device that’s the subject of our heroes’ search. Mr Dempsey expands on what it might be used for, (further evidence of a great imagination) & leaves things open to possibility. I can easily seeing this tale appealing to teens to seniors (like me 😉).
Now excuse me, I have other Dempsey tales to catch up on.

Excellent Read

I have now enjoyed 4 Dempsey novels. He researches thoroughly and wrote wonderfully descriptive prose that not only tensed my body as I read, but actually has me worried about Sean, Tommy, et al sometimes. I will keep making my way through the Sean Wyatt stories because I truly enjoy them. AND ... Dempsey's books are very well edited, far from the crummy editing jobs I have found in recent years (won't mention names). Yes, I came across a few errors, but nothing like the horrors I have read.

An ED. SWAT. (SWAB - 4) Novel About the Eye of Zeus (World History - Chapter 4)

ED. has. penned another archaeological work of fiction interwoven with actual history of the rumors of history passed for many years. This is one of those novels. I had first read of the Eye of Zeus and that they, researchers, thought the device was located in the Lost library chamber of Alexander the Great. ED. Is an author who knows his subject before writing the fiction around it. This is an excellent read for the genre.....DEHS

This was a fun but predictable action adventure in which Sean Wyatt and his friend Tommy set off to rescue Adrianna Villa (Sean's love interest) from the hands of a madman who wants to rule Greece with an ancient artefact that is said to predict the future. Not very believable about the artefact, and the action scenes were a bit over the top, but over all a light read that provided the entertainment I had hoped for. As always, I love that there is zero sex scenes and very little profanity. It's why I keep coming back to this author. Keep it up!

Another great Sean Wyatt adventure

I have now read the majority of this series and am a fan. The only reason it rated a four as opposed to a five is because I rated it against the entire series so far. Very good read just would have liked it to be longer and fleshed out more with historical information. Th he subject matter dealt with Ceasar himself so the opening was there. All and all still a great and enjoyable read.

Good, fast read, but again, formulaic and predictable. Also, Mr. Dempsey has a tendency to use contrived plot devices to further the story, which IMHO decrease the quality and believability of the story. I am hopeful that Mr. Dempsey will rely less on these in the future, as his stories are enjoyable, and these plot device's do nothing more than detract from the story. 3.5 stars.

Books are getting even better!!

The author upped his game on this book. The writing is more fluid and easier to follow than the three previous books. Engaging characters, love the developing storyline. Definitely keeps you on the edge the whole book. I highly recommend this series but be prepared to read them all, I know I will.

Good book

Once you get into the story line it will keep your interest. Sean Wyatt is like Dirk Pitt that he gets himself into incredible trouble and gets out of the situation that somehow borders on the miraculous. However your in for a good ride with the book and you won't be disappointed. I recommend reading the books in order to understand the characters dynamics.

Good plot

I enjoyed this action based archaeological story. There was good pace to the plot and I liked the way it was linked into the actual Greek financial crisis. The ending was satisfying - I will not give it away but it was interesting to see that the idea of who are the good guys are is totally clear

Yet another

Dempsey does it again!! For someone who generally hates reading and takes forever to finish a book, Dempsey’s classic Sean Wyatt series keeps one in suspense, and they are broken down in such a way that you can pick up where you left off very easily. I hope one day someone will make these a movie!

Were will he go next

This book was an B+, I believe this is his 4th book, he has written. You can tell he is finding his voice. Not choppy like the first book . Ernest has improved, I can't wait to see how his characters develop

Not worth reading

Unfortunately there is no substance to this book. The story is not believable and the main characters are weak. The plots appear fake as is the whole story. Not worth spending the time reading. No insight and nothing to learn.
