When Gabriella Massini's boss asks her to interview a client for her elite matchmaking service Alliance, she assumes that Gabi will turn him down. She is shocked to find out that Gabi not only accepted Billionaire Hunter Blackwell as a client; she married him herself. Gabi initially told Hunter that he was not an acceptable client for Alliance. But when Hunter blackmails Gabi, she has no alternative than to sign a contract to be his temporary wife. He won't tell her why a rich guy like him needs a wife. But as Gabi and Hunter get to know each other, they start to share some secrets that could get someone killed.

This book brings the Weekday Brides series to a satisfying close. When I started reading this one, I didn't know how the author could take a complete jerk like Hunter Blackwell and make him a believable hero. He was driven by this job, had no actual friends, and would use his money to buy anything he needed, including a bride. By the time the book was coming to a close, I was rooting for Hunter to win over Gabi anyway he could.

As usual, there is a suspense element to the book. It felt like this story had a little more suspense than the rest of the books in the series. My rating: 4.5 Stars.

4 1/2 stars!

It is with a fair amount of sadness that I write this review for the final installment of the Weekday Bride series. Wife by Wednesday, (the first book of the series), was released in the fall of 2011. Now, four years later, Ms. Bybee has released the final, (and what just may be my favorite), book of the series!

This is Gabriella Masini’s story. Readers of this series will remember that Gabriella was left recently widowed. She has been trying to piece her broken life back together again after this life changing event. She finds purpose and happiness in her job as a matchmaker at Alliance, and is great at her job. When she meets the wealthy, powerful, and intimidating Hunter Blackwell, I was immediately hooked on this book!

Hunter Blackwell is without question, my favorite of all the Weekday Bride heroes. This is remarkable, because when he is first introduced, I was wondering how in the world I was ever going to warm up to him. He was manipulative, hard, and absolutely ruthless. He uses his wealth, influence, and resources to blackmail Gabi into a marriage of convenience, and I was wondering how a man like this could emerge as a hero. Well, I am here to say, Hunter undergoes a transformation in which his protective and loving side trumps his controlling and tycoon side!

I love marriage of convenience stories, and this one is terrific! Bybee manages to weave some amazing suspense into this story as this rocky relationship starts out forced and fake, but soon morphs into something very real and lasting.

The attraction between Hunter and Gabi is electric! It was clear from the start that the sexual chemistry between Gabi and Hunter would not be an obstacle and the scenes between these characters are some of the best in the series. I really enjoyed watching Hunter Blackwell fall head over heels in love with Gabi.

I also enjoyed watching Gabi emerge as a strong and confidant woman. Her journey towards happiness has been wrought with challenges, obstacles, and pain, but the happiness she finds with Hunter truly is heartwarming and utterly romantic.

I hope that Ms. Bybee will consider revisiting this couple in a novella or in some short holiday book. It’s hard to say goodbye, and Gabi and Hunter are a couple that I’d love to see again in the future!

Many thanks to Ms. Bybee and Montlake for providing an advanced copy for review!

3.5 stars. Not a bad ending to the series, but also pretty frustrating. The heroine was supposed to be a really smart woman, but she frequently makes decisions that are just NOT smart. I couldn’t handle how many times she does things that put her in danger, it always feels like lazy writing to me.

Safe; heroine celibate since the death of her husband (no lingering feelings), hero manwhore prior to meeting the heroine, no one else after he meets her. He breaks things off with his most recent lover right at the start, but no other OW drama from his past conquests. There is OW who causes some drama, but hero was never with her. No scenes with OM/OW, no OM drama beyond some jealousy, no cheating.

4 Who says you can't buy love Stars!

Source: eARC for Honest Review Courtesy of Montlake Romance via NetGalley

There's just something sweet and genuine about Catherine Bybee's writing. Her stories are loaded full of heart and suspense. They're not too heavy, and keep you captivated from start to finish.

Treasured by Thursday is the last of this series, and I have to admit that I'm sad for it to end. However, there is loads of potential for spin off series. In Seduced by Sunday which was the sixth book of the series, we meet Gabi, whom is the sister of Valentino, Meg's husband.

In Seduced by Sunday, Gabi didn't have the best of luck when it came to love, which made her a bit gun shy to have any new relationships.

Hunter Blackwell needs a wife pronto, but when he asks a friend a favor, he's turned over to the women of Alliance. Thinking he has it in the bag, he's quite surprised when Gabi turns him down to be an Alliance customer.

Not one to be told no, he turns to a bit of blackmail to get his way. For Gabi, the every present peace keeper, she agrees to this plan.

"I am. And please, if the masses begin to talk, remind everyone that I thought I loved a man who nearly killed me and I managed to survive. Hunter needed a wife and I'm filling a role. There are no emotions involved and no one is trying to end my life."

Famous last words for Gabi, because she too fell captive to love, while her life was in danger.

All the woman that work at Alliance seem to fall victim to love and near death experiences. It must be something in the water for these ladies. As Gabi barely survived her first marriage, now being blackmailed into her second one, the last thing she expected was to fall for her husband.

Super sweet story. Super sweet series.

It is always with a heavy heart that you have to say goodbye to a much beloved series. Very bittersweet when you are both excited for the last read and dreading it because, after it, there is nothing else left. No more lovable characters. No more swoon worthy romances and friendships to rival all others, no more anything.

So it was with a touch of sadness that I went into Treasured by Thursday by also a whole lot of excitement as well.

Excited to get Gabi, Valentino's sister from the last book's story and of course Hunter's, after all, who can resist a bad boy with a reputation to match?

Heartwarming, endearing, and full of wonderful moments, this truly was an ending that was every bit as satisfying as I was hoping as the lives of all the characters from the series came together full circle.

This truly has been such a fun series and one that I am so glad I took a chance on. Bybee knows how to write a swoon worthy romance filled with sexual tension, chemistry, and those heart pounding moments that all us romance junkies live for.

It is definitely bittersweet saying goodbye to this series and all of it's fabulous characters.

The end of an amazing series happens to be my favorite I never saw this for Gabi and I am in squeezes of happiness wow also all the stalking I've done with this author and the publisher and I've finally received an arc !!!

Its so hard to come to the end of a series.. I knew there would be 7 books because its titled weekday brides but still this author I just cant stop reading her work!

In book 6 you are hurt to see Gabi and how much dirt she was buried under but here comes the unexpected hero Hunter and its swoon city

In theory you could read her books as standalones but then you don’t get the truly awesome aspect of all of her characters coming back together in this novel.

This is the perfect summer read. Sweet and short and filled with laughs, love and romance that takes you to a special place.

Catherine Bybee is one of those authors readers hate, and I mean that in the best way possible. Once you start reading her books, you aren't going to want to put them down, resulting in loss of sleep, ignoring the world around you, and forgetting to eat. Then you end up tired and hungry. But at least your reading need is satisfied.

Gabriella “Gabi” Masini has lived a sheltered life, tucked comfortably on her brother’s private island resort, off the coast of Florida. When the first man to come along shows her attention, she jumps head first into a relationship. Unfortunately, the relationship wasn’t what Gabi hoped it would be and the result was deadly. Needing to put her life back together, she becomes an employee of Alliance (a high end matchmaking service) and moves to California.

Hunter Blackwell is an arrogant, shrewd billionaire business man. He’s listed as one of Forbes top eligible bachelors. Even with his status, he needs a wife, fast. He turns to Alliance to find the perfect short term wife. Gabi is put in charge of vetting Hunter to see if he is a good match for the company. When Gabi turns down Hunter’s request, he refuses to take no for an answer. Hunter turns to blackmail, to get want he wants and he wants Gabi to be his wife.

The two enter into a contract that will help get what Hunter wants most and guarantee a safe and secure future for Gabi. The contract calls for an exclusive relationship with no bedroom action involved. Well, of course, that part of the contract flies out the window. When Gabi finds out the true reason for Hunter needing a wife, she can’t help but fall for this man who only shows his true self to her. Hunter is use to playing his cards close to the vest. He isn’t prepared for the feelings Gabi unleashes in him. He never expected to fall in love with her. He definitely never expected to want a forever with her.

Admittedly, Hunter is a little hard to like in the beginning. What he does to Gabi is inexcusable. But when he inadvertently brings Gabi’s dangerous past to their front door, he will move heaven and Earth to keep her safe. There is so much going on in this book. In fact, at times, it seems as if the two only have themselves and the former Alliance couples to rely on. But the tangled web is what makes this book so good.

Catherine never fails to write a romance that will have you rooting for and becoming invested in the characters. She has this ability to bring heart pounding moments that suck you in and at times have you holding onto the edge of your seat. Treasured by Thursday is once again an incredible story. However, this one probably is better if you read the previous book, Seduced by Sunday, since thorough background details regarding Gabi and her situation are given. If you choose to not read the previous book, it’s okay, you just won’t have all of the background information up front.

Treasured by Thursday is the final book in Catherine Bybee’s Weekday Brides series. She does a fantastic job of bringing back all the past couples and giving you a look into their lives today.

What a way to end the Weekday Bride Series! I have loved each of the books Catherine Bybee has written in this series and Treasured by Thursday-book seven-is no exception! Each book features a different couple, so they can each be read as standalone novels. There are cross-over characters, however, probably the most in this one, so I would advise to read them all for the full effect of this wonderful series!

Gabi's life has been in shambles ever since her late husband's death. Her only saving grace is her job. Working for Alliance and matchmaking couples for a living is her happiness. When a new prospective client is met, she's a little intimidated by him. Hunter Blackwell is the billionaire with too many zeros to count on his net worth. He is in need of a temporary wife and Alliance is the ticket. He is surprised that after a five minute meeting, Gabi turns him down flat! After she leaves he starts brainstorming. He will not be detoured. Gabi is the only one standing in the way and she is rather beautiful too. Hmmm. How can he get her to do it?? He calls his private investigator to dig something up on her so he may convince her to agree to be his temporary wife.

Hunter's private investigator finds some dirt he can use against Gabi stemming from her late husband's death. When presented with the evidence, she bends to the blackmail and reluctantly agrees. She also adds a few contract amendments of her own before she marries him.

The book plot is not original, but Catherine Bybee's spin on the theme is. This book gives us not only a great romance but quite a lot of mystery and suspense with the sideline stories. It was seriously hard to put down the last half of the book! I enjoyed catching up with some of the prior book's characters and seeing where they were now. I especially loved how Hunter evolved once married to Gabi. It was subtle and slow, but she allowed him to show he can be a real nice man-not always the cut-throat business savvy billionaire who leaves destruction in his wake! He wanted to be all these things but never had the right person to challenge him to want to be those things. Gabi did that for him.

All in all I would highly recommend Treasured by Thursday and the whole Weekday Brides series! They all have their own blend of mystery, suspense, intrigue, and most of all downright spicy romance! Jump on the bandwagon and give this series a whirl!

3.5 hunted and claimed by Hunter stars. Honestly, the book would have lost two full stars if Hunter wasn't the male lead. Hunter really made the book for me because he wasn't just some self absorbed dickhead but a hardworking, goal orientated, clever, and redeemable guy. Gabi wasn't terrible but there were moment when I wanted to kind of throw something at her.

I suppose I should explain why I am not raving about this book. For starters, the overall flow of the story just didn't click with me. Maybe I'm having an off time or something but this didn't' make me excited. The writing wasn't terrible and I was able to finish the read easy enough but I didn't fall so completely into it that when I finished I was panting, screaming, or thrilled.

I fell in love with Gabriella in the previous book and continued to find the character charming and lovable. After the horrible ordeal she had been through, it would have been understandably difficult for her to be comfortable in another relationship. At first Hunter seems like the last person she should be with, but as he tries to win over Gabi, he won me over as well. Bybee has once again written an exceptional strong heroine who is able to go toe-to-toe with a dominating hero and have unbelievable chemistry. Bybee fans will not be disappointed, and any fan of a witty romance will want to read this book.

A fantastic end to a brilliant series. I truly feel like each book just got better and better. I loved the sisterhood of this series, I love how strong, smart and brave the heroines were, and how they fought for their HEA. This is a series I will reread over and over again. I one hundred percent recommend these books!

Catherine Bybee really knows how to finish strong. I have loved her Weekday Brides series, each and every book has been an incredible stand-alone read, but the core characters continue to be such a support to one another you really get the sense of their strong friendship which has built with each new book in the series and enhanced my reading experience. Especially in this seventh and last book, TREASURED BY THURSDAY, where all the women connected with the Alliance matchmaking service, and their men, rally behind Gabrielle Masini due to the torture she survived at the hands of her ex in book number six. Ms. Bybee provides more than enough backstory to read and enjoy Treasured by Thursday on its own merits, but I highly recommend this whole series and in the very least, book six, Seduced by Sunday.

Gabi is the younger sister of the sexy Italian, Valentino Masini, and led a very sheltered and protected life... until due to her innocence and longing for a life and family of her own, she was fooled and kidnapped by a man who sought to use her family's remote island location for his own gain. Now some time has passed and this story begins with her working for Samantha at Alliance. Very much her own woman and building a new life for herself as an integral part of the agency. She has regained her confidence and she finally feels in charge of her own life, although she is still not ready to trust men enough to date. It's impossible not to admire and root for Gabi, despite her history she carries herself with grace and elegance, while showing herself a formidable opponent in the business of love. Hunter never stood a chance.

Hunter Blackwell is an old business associate and casual friend of Samantha's husband, Blake. He uses that old connection to get an interview for help quickly finding a suitable wife to resolve some family issues. Hunter is a ruthless "zillionaire" (the only part of the book I felt was over the top) use to getting his way and so when Gabi turns him down for not meeting Alliance's client standards he plays dirty. When she won't match him, he uses blackmail to force the beautiful Gabi to marry him herself.

Despite the need to despise Hunter in the beginning for preying on Gabi's vulnerability, it was impossible from the start not to feel their strong chemistry. Gabi and Hunter were each a challenge to the other and clearly a perfect match. The dialogue between these two was sublime. Gabi was sassy, witty and made Hunter work for every request he made of her, but that same wit and style melted his hard heart and won his respect. Who knew "throw yourself in front of a bus" would be more effective than sweet words of love to make a man fall all over himself to please his woman?

Treasured by Thursday is a great romance with a happy ending, but in keeping true with the Weekday Brides series there is plenty of danger, suspense and bad guys to make the story even better. Bybee's books are never just romantic fluff and like the others, Treasured by Thursday will keep you on the edge turning the pages until you know all is well. I loved this book, but am sorry for such a great series to end. 4.5 stars.

WOW! Catherine has really done it again! This series has gotten more intense, with more suspense and action the later into the series you get and for this, the last book in the series, Catherine decided to go out with a bang. We first met Gabi our heroine in her brother’s story Seduced by Sunday and while this book is fine as a standalone I highly recommend reading SbS first so you have all the background. Hunter Blackwell is a ruthless, relentless, uncompromising billionaire who is very used to getting his way. He’s heard rumors about his old friend Blake’s wife and her business and comes to Alliance for assistance when he finds himself in need of a bride. When he is rejected he does what any cold hearted ruthless billionaire does, he blackmails Gabi to marry him herself. I loved getting to know Gabi better in this book, she has come such a long way since we met her in SbS. I loved watching her get stronger and grow into herself. I LOVED her frequently telling Hunter to jump in front of a bus, with diminishing vitriol as they begin to grow on each other. These two are not your typical romance couple, not even in an enemies to lovers story. They had a LOT of obstacles to overcome and more than their fair share of hidden agendas. I really wondered how Hunter was going to get redeemed in this book, he was THAT much of a….jerk (amazon won’t let me use the words I’d usually use in his case) but he comes around and as you learn more about him maybe he wasn’t QUITE as bad as he seemed at the beginning. I loved this story, I really found it a fitting end to the series and as always I can’t wait to see what new direction Catherine will take us in next. I received an ARC of this book from Mountlake Publishing, through Net Galley in exchange for an honest review. All opinions expressed here are my own.

A pitch-perfect ending to a wonderful series!

I imagine it would be a challenge for any writer to come up with new and innovative ways to keep a series that is so specific fresh and creative. I was absolutely amazed at how well Ms. Bybee accomplished that feat in this, the seventh and final book! A plot-line that involves a "groom" who is a complete and utter jerk - to the point of blackmailing the "bride" for no reason other than to accomplish his own selfish ends is genius! Especially when the bride is as well-loved as the damaged Gabriella. After reading what she went through in "Seduced by Sunday", every reader starts the book praying she gets the kind, loving and supportive husband she so deserves... NOPE! Pairing her with an absolute B^*#@%d sends the reader's emotions into over-drive as we cry and curse and bite our nails while turning those pages!

This book is also a splendid example of tying up a series and all it's characters with seamless perfection. Each couple from the previous books makes an appearance with such grace that we are able to see their happily-ever-afters without bogging the initial story-line down a bit!
It accomplishes everything a finale should - Bravo, Ms. Bybee, bravo!

**My thanks to NetGalley and the author for providing me with a free copy for an honest review**

I am SO sad to see that this series is ending. I have loved every single one of the books in this series, and this one is no exception.

We get romance, suspense, blackmail and as always the importance of friends and family.

Hunter turned from a bit of a cold hearted man, to a man who found the benefit of having a loving woman at his side, a companion and someone to look after without thinking of just himself and what he wanted.

Gabi was a woman with emotional scars from her previous husband, wounded in the worst way and has since not had a relationship since, she also flinches whenever a man touches her. She knows what she has signed herself up with and finds that not everything is as it seems again with a man she has matched up with.

It doesn't take long for hate to end up as something else and for friends and family to say they will help if they can.

Catherine Bybee will continue to be an author that I keep my eye out for as her style of writing draws me in and keeps me wanting more. I look forward to what she will come up with next.

This story had a good plot with plenty of action. I liked the premise of the romance but not so much the execution. The relationship never seemed to build. It was so black or white and all the secrecy got tedious. It was nice to see other characters from the series. Billionaire Hunter blackmails matchmaker Gabriella into a temporary marriage.

E assim termina a minha maratona com a série The weekday brides !!!

A great way to wind up a series.
Even though, Gabi & Hunter were the protagonists of the story, all the characters from the previous books appeared.

This one was interesting b/c in the beginning Hunter is a jerk so it’s hard to root for him. And Gabi is so likable you want her to find happiness after the previous books tragedies.

Overall, this was a charming series. I am extremely impressed by how well written it was. Even though it is essentially "fluff", ie. light romances. The author (in all of the series I’ve read) is one of thebest writers at having character/story flow b/w books in a series.
It was so seamless ….

I liked that especially since each book seamlessly flowed into the next one, so that the readers connection to the characters was easily maintained. For me, it is one of the best examples of that and one of the better romance series I've read.

I am now on the Bybee train & will continue to look for & read more of her books.

LOVED THIS BOOK!!!! This series was so good it is too bad this is the last one. Gabby is strong and fragile at the same time and there were times I thought I was going to hate Hunter but he was so redeeming there was no way. He definitely comes through. Definitely the perfect way to end the series!

What a great last book in this outstanding series. Just terrific! I loved that all the characters were present for Gabi and Hunter. Just loved it. Darn. Now, I have caught up with the rest of the world and read all of Catherine Bybee's books! What am I going to do now? ;)
