I’ll be updating this review as I read more and more stories from the anthology, including all the usual content information.

All proceeds from this anthology goes to Planned Parenthood, so I definitely recommend preordering it or picking it up once it’s released. First up:

5⭐️ The Breeding Session by Piper Scott

Blurb:

With his mid-thirties looming, but no long-term lover to call his own, Luca has decided it’s time to stop waiting for life to come to him. If he wants a family, he’ll have to make one on his own…
…and he’s set his sights on the best man he knows to help make it happen.
His lifelong crush and roommate since college.
His best friend, West.

Review:

A great, strong start to this anthology! This was super freaking cute with instantly lovable characters and a unique premise. I was impressed by how genuine their connection felt in such a short amount of time, and I believed that they’d been best friends for years.

As per usual, any amount of pining yanks on my heart hard, and this almost made me tear up a couple times. The sex scenes were hot too, which is always nice.

West was only helping him out. It wasn’t like West was actually attracted to him. If he was, he would have made a move way before now; after all, they’d been roommates for fourteen years, and Luca had been subtly flirting with him on and off for most of it.

The marginal portion of West’s shaft that was visible was thick, the size difference between them so drastic that the way their bodies came together bordered on absurd.

Was West flirting with him? Straitlaced, literal West who had once balked at Luca’s suggestion of having sweet potatoes with dinner because he thought they were a dessert item?

The Pregnant Omega Next Door by Anna Wineheart

Blurb:

Pregnant and on the run from his ex-alpha, Emre hides with his wolf pup in a run-down apartment. He's out of cash, out of food, and his neighbor next door is cooking something that smells delicious. Desperate to feed himself and his pup, Emre knocks on his neighbor's door. What he doesn't expect is a handsome alpha, a fluttering crush, and the realization that he could get into deep trouble, all over again.

Review:

DNF. The MCs are giving me the ick and I don’t like the writing.

Shiloh & Corbyn by Lisa Oliver

Blurb:

Giving birth is not the ideal time to meet an alpha mate, but when Corbyn came into the stark birthing room, a growl in his voice, and his eyes sharp, Shiloh was cautiously optimistic his life might change for the better. It couldn't get any worse. Corbyn Stone knew he lived an entitled life that came from money and position. But the moment he pushes his way into a birthing room, his wolf alerted to an omega's distress, he starts to think there's not enough money in the world to fix the issues he's faced with. Meeting an omega mate was supposed to be celebrated, but Corbyn wasn't sure Shiloh was ready for that. Juggling a new baby adds more friction to the getting to know you phase. Can two strangers come together to form a family?

Review:

DNF. Bit too ambitious to pull off this kinda serious story in a novella format. Writing isn’t working for me.

4⭐️ One-Life Stand by Grae Bryan

Blurb:

A one-night stand turned something more.
Bracken never intended to see Tanner again. One night with the handsome, self-assured barkeep was supposed to be enough to dispel Bracken’s unwelcome attraction to the big brute.
But their one night had unexpected consequences, and now Bracken is knocked up and banished from the fae realm and he needs a place to stay.
But why does Tanner have to be so—so willing? And kind. And godsdamned respectful.
It’s enough to drive a pregnant fae crazy.
Especially when Bracken’s hormones are screaming at him to climb the man like a tree. Or maybe—just maybe—to beg the human to keep him forever. But with a baby on the line and the stakes higher than ever, can Bracken really be brave enough to let his defenses fall?

Review:

It was really nice to read some Grae Bryan again. I adore a grumpy and prickly character who continues to be that way, especially when the other MC really freaking loves that about them.

As the blurb implies, it’s sort of second chance, but I still enjoyed it. There were a couple scenes I wish weren’t skipped — like meeting the parents — but other than that it was pretty good for a short novella. They were really cute together.

“Keep touching me,” he pleaded, strangely close to tears. “Don’t stop.” Tanner’s laughter slowed. He brushed their lips together with new tenderness. “I won’t.”

He wanted to be Bracken’s person. His safe space. He wanted to always be the man Bracken turned to when he couldn’t stop his tears.

He was going to make up for the upset he’d created in Bracken’s world, even if it took a lifetime.

3.5⭐️ His Bear Bombsbell by Anna Sparrows

Blurb:

Virginal fox shifter omega, Tim Bowman, knows it’s a bad idea to go to one of the Shifters Sanctuary magical Unlocking parties. Omegas aren’t allowed for a reason, after all. Nevertheless, his best friend convinces him to attend anyway and, surprisingly, the world doesn’t end. Despite drinking a lot and not remembering much afterwards, it’s easy enough to return to his life as a shy, awkward farmhand. There, he can crush on alpha bear shifter, Conrad Miles, to his heart’s desire. However, in the months following the party, something weird starts going on with his body, which makes it even harder to find the confidence to do the things he wants to with Conrad. Is it a weird omega thing he didn’t know about? Or is it fate at play after all?

Review:

This was pretty cute! Another decent novella in this anthology, and with a premise I haven’t read before, which is always nice. The cuddle scene in shifter form was sweet.

There was a bit of an infodump at the beginning, and for some reason the MCs’ first kiss was skipped. We were just briefly told about it after the fact, and the same for their ‘first’ sexual interaction. That’s always gonna negatively affect my rating. Other than that I mostly enjoyed this.

I already wanted to climb the man like a damn tree. It figured the first man to ask me out would also be the kind of guy who wanted to wait and form a proper connection first.

Relieved we were on the same page, I ducked under his paw, tucking myself against his warm, furry chest. He curled his much larger body over me, careful of my bushy tail, which I brought up and wrapped around my feet and my nose, and he enveloped me in his alpha scent and bear-shaped protective bubble.

5⭐️ Feed Me, Please by Kiki Clark

Blurb:

Eight-months pregnant and down-on-my luck with the good-for-nothing Alpha who’d gotten me into this mess nowhere in sight, I decided I’m better off on my own. Omegas don’t need Alphas. I’d be just fine, thank you. But dear lord, the scent of food coming from my new neighbor’s apartment smells good. A little taste of the Alpha’s food won’t change my mind though. Everything he does after he opens his door for me and my pathetic request… Well, that might just convince me to want an Alpha of my own.

Review:

Aww, this was super sweet. I love books where one character is big and scary-looking, but a total gentle giant, and then the other person figuring that out. Obviously there’s only so much you can fit in short novellas, but I thought the pacing here was good and everything that happened made sense. Really enjoyed it.

He took a jerky half step back, wary and uncertain, like he wasn’t used to pushy, pregnant Omegas showing up on his doorstep demanding to be fed. Which… fair.

He was doing this—asking me for help, a stranger, an Alpha, someone nearly three times his size—because he was worried about his baby. And for whatever reason, that made me start to fall right then and there.

“If you give me half a chance, I will treat you so well, my sweet Omega.”

There’s Always Tomorrow by Ashlynn Mills

Blurb:

I already wanted to climb the man like a damn tree. It figured the first man to ask me out would also be the kind of guy who wanted to wait and form a proper connection first.

Review:

DNF for not warning about both MCs being cheated on by their fiancé and boyfriend, respectively (on page). There’s a content warning for ‘onset heat’, and that’s it. I wish more authors understood that cheating needs a warning, even if it’s not between the MCs.

Of Rain and Enchanted Forests by Layla Dorine

Blurb:

Trained to be a companion, an exiled Pixey finds himself wandering up a rain drenched road in need of rescuing. Little did he know what fate had waiting at the end of the road, when a gargoyle turned out to be his rescuer.

Review:

DNF. I have no idea where this story is going, there are no chapters (just one long one), and it is riddled with typos and mistakes. I already had low expectations when it comes to editing, considering it’s an anthology, but this one is straight up difficult to read because there’s something in almost every paragraph.

3⭐️ Blood of the Damned: Thorn by JP Sayle

Blurb:

What does Vaughn Winery offer sommelier, Ledger Rain, who is running from past mistakes? Why everything, of course.

A meeting on a street in Bayfield causes Ledger to lose his mind and gain a mate who turns out to be his boss. Twelve months on, mated, married and pregnant with twins, life is about to take another sharp twist with the secret his mate has kept from him. How does one give birth to vampire babies? Ledger is about to discover this in a painful way.

Review:

This novella felt a bit incomplete, like it took a few bits of a longer story and tried to make you interested in the longer one, instead of trying to write the best possible shorter story. I didn’t really get the time to get invested in the characters. Just a couple chapters more to flesh it out and it could’ve been a decent novella on its own. Alas, apparently the author is writing more for them later.

3.5⭐️ Liam by Sam Taylor

Blurb:

Liam is pregnant and starting a new life in Oakland. Upon meeting his fated mate, he's faced with a new problem. How is he supposed to tell his mate that he's pregnant with another alpha's baby?

4.5⭐️ Alpha for Hire by Toby Wise

Blurb:

When Allen’s heats become too much for him to take care of himself, he hires an alpha from an agency to be his heat partner. Dario is tall, dark, handsome, and smells like everything good in the world. What starts as a simple job, quickly turns complicated as they both develop feelings during Allen’s heat. Could these feelings just be the bond an alpha and omega form during a heat? Or will they last once his heat is over?

Review:

This has been one of my favorites in the anthology so far. The characters had lovely chemistry and the relationship felt believable. Of course there’s some instalust and instalove involved in a premise like this, but the connection felt real. I thought the author did a good job with the pacing of the story and I loved the mutual pining. It was also pretty hot, and made me chuckle at the end.

“I trust you,” I tell him softly and mean it with every fiber of my being. It might be my heat talking but there’s something about Dario that’s put me at ease and made me feel safe.

“I’ve got you,” I tell him and even to my own ears it sounds like a desperate promise. Everything inside of me is begging me to be careful. I can’t grow attached. This is just a job.

I sit back once more, letting Allen ride me. His ass jiggles every time it collides with my pelvis and I’m obsessed, unable to look away. Despite our size difference, we somehow fit together so perfectly.

Reread 2: I saw that this was released again on Grae Bryan’s instagram. So obviously I had to read her story again. I NEED her to release her story separate so I can have it.

I literally only read Grae Bryan’s piece so my rating is only for Grae Bryan. MPREG? Grae? Absolutely. And as always, writing is superb and the story is excellent and the characters are excellent and I just loved it.

I will update as I read through the stories.

The Breeding Session by Piper Scott - 4.5 stars
Friends to lovers. I adored the writing style, high heat. My only complain is I really wished the story were longer. It's a good complaint to have, honestly. High praise.

The Pregnant Omega Next Door by Anna Wineheart - 3 stars
Shifters, another man's baby, and sentient shopping carts. Yes, you read that correctly. Did I accidentally do drugs? This feels like a trip, though I assume the plot device is used because every single parent deserves an unpaid babysitter. I mean... I don't disagree.

This was a great value collection of short stories written by some great authors. All were different even though they were all set in the omegaverse, were MM stories with mature content and featured MPREG. There was care listing trigger warnings at the start of each story so please take heed of them.

It took me three months to read this. That's not a reflection of the stories, just of my mood. I can't do overly sweet for very long, and most of these were very sweet. It was a great palette cleanser in between darker reads.

My favorite stories were

The Breeding Session
By Piper Scott

Luca and West. Best friends to lovers. They both had crushes on each other and they were both afraid to damage their friendship. One pregnancy and a lot of hormones later, Luca is winning the fight against his fear and is ready to lay his cards on the table. These two are absolutely adorable!

The Pregnant Omega Next Door
By Anna Wineheart

Zenith and Emre. Strangers to lovers. Protective dragon and wolf. Emre is on his own with his little girl while pregnant with another. Thankfully he wasn’t completely on his own as Buttwheel his magical cart helped him with Abbie.

I love the magic in this book!! Frolicking carts that help rock babies to sleep?? More please. The back and forth convos from two doors down were so cute.

Shiloh and Corbyn: An Omega Hearts Spin Off Story
By Lisa Oliver
Strangers to fated mates. Protective alpha of his omega. Found family. Sweet love.

One-Life Stand
By Grae Bryan

Bracken and Tanner. One night. Fae and human with a little bundle of love thrown in. I loved Bracken’s snarkiness and Tanner’s sweet love. Poor Bracken had it hard, so his HEA was well deserved.

Alpha for Hire
By Toby Wise

Dario, the alpha, takes care of omegas in their heat. Allen needs Dario's help as his own heats are too hard for him to get through on his own. This is a love at first sight type of story. Both Dario and Allen knew they felt something, they just weren't sure if it was just hormones. When Allen turned up pregnant and reached out to Dario, they both realized that they were still missing each other.
I found this story super steamy and super sweet. To me these are trademarks of Toby's writing. I love his books. I can't remember how I found him, but I immediately binged his Collection of Stray's series. I think you'll find that Toby becomes a go-to author for his sweet and steamy stories.

Not in the Birth Plan
By Kerry Kilpatrick

Rowan. Silas, the uber driver. OMGeee!!! I love the immediate heat between these two. And who reads the final chapter first?!
Super adorable and gave me a trip down baby lane memories.

Breedable
By Crea Reitan

Of Rain and Enchanted Forests
By Layla Dorine

Laney is a pixie and an outcast. Previously engaged, pregnant with a child, his shadow heritage came out while protecting his charges. He was immediately taken from their lands and driven into the city left on the side of a busy road. Marcus and Truett, brother gargoyles, are happily mated to Elden and searching for a second mate as is their culture. Poor Laney feels such connection to the brothers that he looks for mating marks and is disappointed each time they fail to appear. When introduced to their mate Elden, an exhausted Laney finally sees his dreams come true as mating marks cover his arms. In one fell swoop, Laney finds a family, a home, and a future that is all he has wished for come true.

I just finished my first Layla Dorine book, Prayers for the Prickly. OMG! That entire collaboration was so good and it is totally bingeable. So to find her in this anthology is a total treat. I really enjoyed this story, because I kept hoping Laney was wrong that he was mated to the brothers he adored so quickly. The poor guy was so sad and all that changed when he met Elden. It is such a great ending!! This story was like a fairytale adventure and I loved it. I can't wait to find more of her back list to read when I have time.

Blood of the Damned-Thorn
By JP Sayle

Ledger is a shifter running from his past. His first thought when he gets to the city of his new job is did he just jump from the frying pan into the fire? Maybe as he meets Thorn, a vampire looking for love, almost immediately. These two form an immediate bond and are made for each other. Pregnancy? How are baby vampires born anyway?
Okay, if Ledger had known the answer to that question, he might not have gotten pregnant so quickly. I'm still kind of laughing/ewww JP about it! My favorite part of this story is that it isn't over yet. I'm looking forward to the Divergent Omegaverse world and I'm about to go sign up for JP's newsletter so I can read Alpha's Divergent Omega.

Liam
By Sam Taylor

Unplanned pregnancy, new town, fated mate? Liam was only looking forward to the future and his baby, he didn’t expect his fated mate to show up. Will Henry be okay with him being pregnant?
Super sweet.

His Sweet Perfect Mate
By Allie W. Scott

Maklihn is a handsome wolf shifter book store owner. Clynt is nursing a broken heart at his cousin Judy's home. Her husband Kris treats her just like all the book boyfriends do in the stories. Is it too much to ask to find that for himself?
I love when one of the mc’s has been hurt and then moves on to find their forever. That happily ever after always makes my heart happy. To find out that Maklihn is waiting for his fated mate, has waited for over 300 years. Swoon!! The connection between the two mc's is instant and H-O-T HOT!! The scene in the bathroom made me laugh and want to cry happy tears. The sweet little things that Allie added to the story just made it so good. This is another new-to-me author that will be added to my TBR list as soon as possible.

Knot His
By Alice La Roux

One night, it was just one night. He doesn’t want to trap Gideon with a baby. He’ll just have to quit. Gideon is not letting Rowan get away from him that easily. Just a smile all the way through. Two great MC’s.

In Your Eyes
By Megs Pritchard

Anatoly Bruni, a three hundred year old Vampire, still without a mate and lonely. Kael is an omega about to be sold to the alpha of a neighboring pack. His wants don't matter at all, as an omega he doesn’t have a choice. Not even his parents can help him. But maybe his mate can?

I love this Vampire/Omega Shifter storyline. It is fun and a bit different. I love the instant love part obviously, but I also love the protectiveness of Anatoly. I love that with Anatoly and his parent's help, they are able to get away from the Silver Tree pack and find a home amongst Anatoly's family in Russia.

I found Megs Pritchard in the first season of the Monster Match collaboration. There are so many more that I have still to read from her. I really like the last line of her about the author in this book, "...she is busy writing about complex characters that know the harsh realities of life but want a HEA." Seriously, I read to escape and I like murder and mystery and shenanigans, but for me they must come with a happily ever after!!

Knotted Hearts
By Kota Quinn

Kestrel is pregnant and going through an awful divorce from Franky. Not only is Franky abusive, he is trying to steal the bookstore that has been in Kestrel’s family for three generations. Lucky for Kestrel, that some alphas have bonded together to try and help omegas in need.

I love this story!! Have I mentioned that I LOVE dragons? They are one of my favorite shifters and Brooks is so wonderful. Also, a book store owner? How much more perfect could Kestrel be? Please picture me with heart eyes. I am a devoted Kota Quinn reader. I love her stories from her monsters to her daddies/little contemporaries to her shifterverse books. There is something for everyone and I can't pick a favorite. I'm really hoping that we get to see more of this Arkadia universe. I love the idea of a group of alphas within an archaic society trying to be the good to help omegas in need. It just strikes my fancy!!

His Bear Bombshell
By Anna Sparrows

Tim and Conrad dated and fell in love all before they realized that they were having a baby. Surprise!! This story is super cute, with parental guidance and date nights out.

The Leopard Omega
By Kiernan Kelly

Steamy!!! An opposites match with a CFO bossman and an executive assistant. They tried to hold out against Josh’s heat, but Char lifted the white flag and realized they were mates. Together they made work fun!

Shield My Heart
By Morgan Elektra

Vampires again!! I’m a happy camper. Ryland is giving Lothian a choice. Only when emotions run high, sometimes you need a good friend like Dante to help you make the right choice. My favorite line in the book, “We have a family.”

Securing His Mate
By Minerva Howe

Oh Minerva!! This is such a good story. I love that in the midst of something bad (Starry’s kidnapping), Reed is rescued by and meets his mate Hamish. A book about found family, friendship, and love. You can’t go wrong with this one!

There’s Always Tomorrow
By Ashlynn Mills

Parker and Hazel have both been hurt and cheated on by people that should have loved them. Instead they find each other in the middle of all the hurt and together find something even better.

Ashlynn Mills is a great writer. She writes different types of stories, so I've read her Monster Match books, her Nerds and Tattoos series, and a few of her different collaborations. I'm still working my way over to her Mafia and Cartel books. Her range is pretty amazing. I think that is shown here in There's Always Tomorrow the way the two mc's connect, the things they have to process. I loved the story. My favorite line, “Because I can’t think of a single reason I shouldn’t…” It is so beautiful!

The Gallery
By Vinni George

Milo’s trying to build a future in Key West. He's left Chicago behind and is busy opening an art gallery. When he realizes that he is fated mates to Noah, he fights the attraction with everything in him. One night fate takes that fight and turns it into red hot steam.

I love the instant attraction of fated mates! There is also something sweet and steamy about Vinni’s writing that I adore. I've read previous Vinni books and really enjoyed them, but I am totally in love with shifters/omegaverse and any kind of magical universe type book. To find out that she has an entire series in this world,I’ve already put the series on my tbr.

The Right Time
By Jenna Wade

A small town vibe with a big shifter contingent. This little town is a mix of bears and wolves. Theo is a bear who feels he isn’t good enough for his alpha mate. Tyler is the alpha mate in question and he is patiently waiting for Theo to be ready. It really takes a village as both men’s friends talk them through their fears about romance.

I don’t think I’ve ever read Jenna Wade before, but this won’t be my last story. I will be adding her books to my tbr. I thought the story was so sweet. Theo worked so hard to be what his mate needed when all he really needed to do was just be himself. I thought the story was super romantic.

Favorite quote: “You were always mine, Theo. I’d have waited an eternity for you, mate. You are worth it.”

One More Time
By Michelle Frost

This story was super short and super steamy with a happy ending after some uncertainty.

Onyx and His Golden Retriever
By Rye Cox

Love, love, love me some Rye romance!! Super sweet and steamy. It totally fits the Rye Cox universe of writing even though it is a shifter storyline. The romance in her words is bewitching. This little world is so enchanting. It is like watching the first bloom of love and romance, holding hands, talking and texting, and then coming together finally. It is swoony romance, then so steamy. The imagery is wow! There are just so many great stories in this anthology.

Feed Me, Please
By Kiki Clark

First story for by Kiki Clark and I thoroughly enjoyed it. There is something special to me about finding true love after you’ve been hurt. I loved that Kiki’s story reminds us not to judge a book by its cover. Her writing is so sweet and I’m looking forward to finding more of her books.

The Breeding Session by Piper Scott
West and Luca's story is so precious, I love the friends to lovers trope and that was definitely apart of this story. I will say that there are A LOT of spicy scenes, but I enjoyed the moments where they spent time together outside of those moments the best. The ending is very cute!

The Pregnant Omega Next Door by Anna Wineheart
Zenith and Emre's story is a bit of an insta-love story mixed in with falling for your next door neighbor.

Shilo and Corbyn by Lisa Oliver
Corbyn and Shiloh's story is so sweet but also heartbreaking. Shiloh has been held captive for years and just when he thinks he's safe, the hospital he's at tries to take his baby from him. Until his Alpha mate walks in and changes everything. I liked these two together, they make a really great couple! Corbyn is so nice and genuinely cares about Shiloh and Nora's well-being, I adored him! Shiloh is a sweetheart in his own way, he's tenacious, determined, and so full of love to give. It was awesome seeing his character grow a bit.

One Life Stand by Grae Bryan
Opposites Attract comes into play with Bracken and Tanner's story. Theirs was interesting in the sense that they didn't really have a 'dating' period, moreso once they got out of their own way they were able to be happy together. I found it interesting, and quite good! I liked the world this story was set in too, very unique.

Voluntary Discharge by Margaret Couplet
I wish this one was longer! I would've loved to see more of Gio and Ezra together. I wanted to know what they'd be like as a couple but this story ended before that happened. I did still enjoy it though, the romance was implied and the story was written well.

Alpha for Hire by Toby Wise
A steamy short where two men fall in love over the course of a heat.

Not in the Birth Plan by Kerry Kilpatrick
Rowan, Silas, and Baby A's story starts out a bit unconventionally but it's so cute! Silas is so chill, understanding, and supportive, he's just a genuinely good guy. Rowan takes a while to trust him and realize he doesn't have to do everything on his own, and the moment he realized that for himself showed how much he growed throughout the story.

Breedable by Crea Reitan
Wow, I'm blown away by this story. Iri is a school teacher and in his class he is teaching his students about the history of their species. Which means we (the readers) got to learn about the backstory of how their species came to be, how they evolved, and why their population is dwindling. I thought that was so cool, it gave so much depth to the story and really immersed me into their world. The pack component was interesting as well and so cute, they just wanted what was best for Iri and Luken, which was super sweet!

Of Rain and Enchanted Forest by Layla Dorine

I really enjoyed Layla's story, I liked how there were different paranormal characters and how there were backgrounds on each of them. I also thought the aspect of these men knowing who their fated mates are was really unique! They didn't know what they were to each other until they were all together, which I liked a lot. I wish this was longer!

Blood of the Damned - Thorn by JP Sayle
Insta love, almost instant family, and vampire surprises! I thought this was interesting, I've read plenty of vampire books but never one quite like this. When the full version comes out I'd definitely be interested in reading it as I'm curious about the characters.

Liam by Sam Taylor
A steamy short with an unexpected pregnancy.

His Sweet Perfect Mate by Allie W. Scott
An insta-mating from the moment these two meet, and they both want a big family. (Which they both achieve.)

Knot His by Alice La Roux
"It's always been you." Such a sweet quote! I'm glad these two finally talked to each other about how they feel.

In your eyes by Megs Pritchard
Anatoly and Kael's story features a horrific arranged mating, (that thankfully doesn't happen), a vampire/wolf mating, and lots and lots of kids. This was quite enjoyable to read as I enjoyed having the backstory of how these two men met and how they came to be.

Knotted Hearts by Kora Quinn
I adored Brooks and Kes. Both of these men are absolute sweethearts, who are both just looking for their person to love and who will love them back. I liked how their relationship progressed almost naturally, it didn't feel rushed or instant either, which I enjoyed. I'll definitely be on the lookout for future books set in this world!

His bear bombshell by Anna Sparrows
Conrad and Tim are that perfect fated Mate pair! They are both so awkward and adorable, they make a fantastic couple together. Their story is quite unconventional and the baby was an unexpected surprise, but I really liked how things went with them. They took their time getting to know each other with no pressure for more which I really loved.

The Leopard Omega by Kiernan Kelly
A boss/assistant insta lust story.

Shield my Heart by Morgan Elektra
Wrong place/Right Time, insta-lust, and has almost a historical vibe.

Securing his Mate by Minerva Howe
Reed and Hamish's story starts off with them already a bonded pair who are expecting their first baby. I thought this was good, I wish we could've seen/had gotten told how Hamish and Reed met and got together, but I still enjoyed it.

There's always Tomorrow by Ashlynn Mills
This was really unique and quite interesting! Both of these men have had their hearts broken by those who said they'd love them, their broken hearts ended up leading the way right to their fated Mate. I liked that there was a bunny shifter and that there were scenes where he was his animal form, I thought the concept of him being in a pet store and getting adopted was a nice quirk.

The Gallery by Vinni George
I adored Vinni's writing style and creativity, the characters they make are always so fantastic and personable. Noah and Milo are absolutely fantastic, their story is my favorite in this whole anthology, I really hope their story gets extended in the future at some point. I loved how this one felt like a whole complete story even with it being shorter, I didn't feel as though I was missing much, things weren't too rushed, it was just really nice. And! I've never come across a book with a stingray shifter and a show leopard shifter before, that was so cool and really unique!

The Right Time by Jena Wade
A bear shifter and a wolf shifter finally work up the nerve to admit their each other's mate!

One More Time by Michelle Frost
This one is so precious! Both Nash and Micah work at SWAT and are on the same team, they're best friends with the occasional benefits mixed in. When their "One last time" together ends up with Micah being pregnant, it finally gave them the gateway to be open about how they feel. I wish this was a bit longer as I would've loved to see more of Micah and Nash.

Onyx and his Golden Retriever by Rye Cox
Can I just say, "aw!!"?! Onyx and Luca are so adorable, Luca is quite literally a golden retriever who has the energy to match. Onyx is a cat shifter who's more calm, less excitable, and one who's skeptical of all of Luca's growing affection. I really enjoyed their story it was absolutely fantastic and I hope it gets extended in the future!

Feed Me, Please by Kiki Clark
This is the last story in this anthology and it's a next door neighbor whirlwind romance!

All in all I think this anthology is full of good stories from authors who donated their time and work to help support and promote a really good cause and charities.

I've been reading these stories since I got the book and I'm almost completely done but will keep updating as I go!

The Breeding Session by Piper Scott
It was cute. I'd say a solid 2/5 but I wasn't really sold on it as being besties to lovers as I didn't feel like there was any real pining or that either of them had crushes on each other. Obviously I knew they were both in love with each other as we were told but I didn't see it.

The Pregnant Omega Next Door by Anna Wineheart

I-
Are these two men having sex in the same apartment as the small kid without even noticing or paying attention to the fact that the small kid is even there? It was just... It was honestly really fucking weird.
The whole knocking on your neighbors door for food was also really fucking weird.

Shiloh & Corbyn by Lisa Oliver
1 ⭐️
This dude just busted his was into a birthing room!? I get that Shiloh was treated like ABSOLUTE garbage this entire novella and expecting privacy in this was laughable but what the absolute fuck is going on where anyone can just waltz in? I honestly think that this kind of story was meant for a book, not a novella. It felt too serious and dark (more like in terms of how horrible this dudes life has been, not like dark romance) and not very well explained for this anthology.

One-Life Stand by Grae Bryan
5 ⭐️
Grae is back to give me all the damn amazingness because holy hell I loved how damn prickly Bracken was! I loved how he kept coming back to the bar because of... reasons... and whoops! He's now pregnant! I loved how obsessed Tanner was with Bracken's crankiness.

Voluntary Discharge by Margaret Couplet
I can't really rate this as I felt completely and utterly confused the entire fucking time. I felt like we got more with the pack backstory and Giovanni and Grandma Josie talking than we did with anything else. So he picks up Ezra, he's pregnant and I guess that triggers "MUST FUCK" to alphas and that's it? Errrr... wat.

Alpha For Hire by Toby Wise
4 ⭐️
I really enjoyed this one actually! I felt the attraction, the chemistry and I absolutely love when smelling someone triggers the heat. Heck yes! I also enjoyed the mutual pining when they were apart and man oh man was it good!

Not in the Birth Plan by Kerry Kilpatrick
1 ⭐️
Dude invited his uber driver inside for a quickie and gets the same driver who drives him to the hospital when he delivers the baby? Okay. This one was just fucking weird to me.

Breedable by Crea Reitan
I don't know how to rate this one either as I felt like there was an entire book or back history of this community that I was completely missing out on. I also felt like the ending was super abrupt and left me going "wtf?"

Of Rain and Enchanted Forests by Layla Dorine
1 ⭐️
Wow this one had SO many editing mistakes, which was wild as they all thanked their editors or teams for helping them get their stories out. I get that mistakes happen as we're all human (Right?!) but this one was like something was up in every single paragraph. It was a wild ride.

Liam by Sam Taylor
2 ⭐️
SUPER repetitive. Like the entire half of the first chapter is spent explaining how the alpha bailed and didn't care he knocked Liam up. Doesn't want anything to do with him, we get it. The relationship didn't seem believable to me and it was very much they did this. This happened. They did THIS. This happened.
We were told they liked each other but I didn't really feel it.

His Sweet, Perfect Mate by Allie W. Scott
1 ⭐️
Honestly I skimmed SO much of this story because I just didn't care about the letters that took up so much space in this novella. I wanted more of Maklihn and Clynt. I didn't care about letters the kids would receive when they were old enough.

Knot His by Alice La Roux
2 ⭐️
It was cute and I really love the office romance but it drives me bonkers when they both like each other one is like, Oh no, I can't tell you because you'll think ___ when it's blatantly OBVIOUS the other character has caught the feels.

In Your Eyes by Megs Pritchard
3⭐️
It was good and I enjoyed it. Having a shifter and a vampire get together was pretty interesting.

Knotted Hearts by Kota Quinn
2.5⭐️
I enjoyed the bookstore in the family story, the finding your fated mate and such. It just felt so weird that the lawyer for the ex boyfriend would be giving hints to Kestrel on how to keep his shop than to actually defend his client. I also felt weird to see a fated mate be actually MARRIED to someone else and have one of the fated realize that. I felt like the fated mates was really only told from one perspective with Kes was just like, you were hot and I wanted to be your friend.

His Bear Bombshell by Anna Sparrows
1⭐️
Kind of confusing history on the bear shifters part but I also didn't really enjoy the story as it felt like the entire time everyone was like GO TO THE DOCTOR and he just kept brushing it off and then was *surprised pikachu face* that he was pregnant.

The Leopard Omega by Kiernan Kelly
1⭐️
It started out great and then the POV changes happened and the random assistant coming back to add... filler happened? I didn't understand her need for reappearing but alrighty. Then the nurse at the ER chiding them for being loud when one is in labor? Why did that even exist?! It felt cheesy by then and I was starting to skim honestly

Feed Me, Please by Kiki Clark
5⭐️
Okay, I know I said earlier that asking your neighbor for food was weird, but I absolutely loved how it was done here. I loved that it was his pregnancy making him absolutely crave it. I also thoroughly enjoyed his absolute bonkers pregnancy hormones were making him and as soon as they hugged, his Omega was just... PURRING.
I enjoyed how Basil was firm in not NEEDING an alpha, but once he meets Viktor he admits he needs some help and man oh man does it go from there. You see this alpha just go NUTS and fully furnish his apartment and fill it with everything Basil would ever need. And he realizes that he doesn't NEED an alpha but didn't mean he didn't want one.
I adored Viktor waiting on knowing Basil was overwhelmed to show him how much he wanted him and instead it was Basil demanding to know if there was attraction there or if Basil had just imagined it. I adored this one SO much!

The Breeding Session by Piper Scott
4.0 stars ~ West and Luca are beyond adorable. I found the whole “falling in love after we’ve made a baby” to be just perfect.

The Pregnant Omega Next Door by Anna Wineheart
3.5 stars ~ This author has a wonderful way of writing these utterly charming, down on their luck, omegas who often trip over their words and create chaos. Emre is no different.
Emre is a wolf shifter with a baby and another on the way, running from his abusive ex, when he meets Zenith his hot neighbor. They’re so sweet and cute together.

Shiloh and Corbyn: An Omega Hearts Spin-off Story by Lisa Oliver
4.5 stars ~ Shiloh just about broke my heart and after reading the first chapter all I wanted to do was figure out if there were more books in this world. Corbyn is the epitome of what I think an alpha should be, but even more so, the additional family characters are all fantastic.
What an absolutely lovely story!

One-Life Stand by Grae Bryan
3.5 stars ~ Tanner and Bracken, what a hoot! I love a snarky guy with a vulnerable core and Bracken was that to a T. Tanner was perfect as the loving caregiver who understood his fae.

Voluntary Discharge by Margaret Couplet
3.0 stars ~ This was sweet, but I would’ve liked a little more info about the world building. Gio and Ezra were cute and I’d have loved seeing more of them.

Alpha for Hire by Toby Wise
3.0 stars ~ Allen and Dario are cute and this is a fun omegaverse story.

Not in the Birth Plan by Kerry Kilpatrick
4.0 stars ~ Rowan and Silas’ story is wonderful. I enjoyed the world building glimpses and along with their meeting, plus subsequent meeting, made their story a ton of fun.

Breedable by Crea Reitan
4.5 stars ~ Loved the world building including the history, etc. Lukan and Iri are great characters and their struggle was mesmerizing. Would enjoy seeing more in this world!

Of Rain and Enchanted Forests by Layla Dorine
4.0 stars ~ Pixies, fae, gargoyles and more! I really wished this story was longer, or at the very least, included scenes with the baby. But, this MMMM story was delightful and I truly wished I lived in that village.

Blood of the Damned - Thorn by JP Sayle
3.5 stars ~ Vampires, yay! Vampire births, eew!! Thorn and Ledger are great although I would’ve loved more of the story between mating and giving birth.

Liam by Sam Taylor
3.0 stars ~ Liam and Henry are sweet and gentle with a lovely romance.

His Sweet, Perfect Mate by Allie W. Scott
3.0 stars ~ Clynt and Makhlin are lovely in a fated mates perfection.

Knot His by Alice La Roux
3.5 stars ~ Gideon and Rowan are the epitome of boss/employee fated mates with a cute pregnancy. Would’ve enjoyed more, though.

In Your Eyes by Megs Pritchard
4.0 stars ~ Love a good interspecies pairing, in this case a shifter and a vampire, and Anatoly and Kael were great.

Knotted Hearts by Kota Quinn
3.5 stars ~ Once again I’m feeling greedy and wanting the story to last longer. The world build is interesting and I’d like to see more. Kestrel and Brooks are great and I love a human and dragon pairing.

His Bear Bombshell by Anna Sparrows
3.5 stars ~ Aw… this was absolutely adorable. Tim and Conrad were great, I found the world build fascinating, and the ending was awesome.

The Leopard Omega by Kiernan Kelly
3.0 stars ~ Very cute, pretty typical fated mates story. Char and Josh are good together and enjoyable.

Shield My Heart by Morgan Elektra
3.0 stars ~ Honestly? I wanted to smack Lothian multiple times throughout this story for being so stubborn and stupid. Ryland was wonderful and had far more patience than I would’ve had.

Securing His Mate by Minerva Howe
3.0 stars ~ Hamish and Reed were wonderful and I enjoyed this short in their world.

There’s Always Tomorrow by Ashlynn Mills
3.0 stars ~ Hazel and Parker are cute as is their meeting, but I really would’ve enjoyed more backstory and world building descriptions.

The Gallery by Vinni George
4.0 stars ~ Oh, I adored this and partly it’s because I like unique shifter pairings and honestly, how do you get more unique than a snow leopard and a stingray? Milo and Noah were great characters and I so enjoyed their love story.

The Right Time by Jena Wade
4.0 stars ~ Super fun and fabulous shifter story from an author I often enjoy. Tyler and Theo are wonderful and I’m definitely going to look into more in the futureWillowdale Pack

One More Time by Michelle Frost
4.0 stars~ I ABSOLUTELY need more of this world and these characters. Seriously, Michelle! Micah and Nash are amazing.

Onyx and His Golden Retriever by Rye Cox
4.0 stars ~ Onyx and Luca, a black cat and a golden retriever. Shouldn’t they be enemies? 😂 Absolutely adored these two

Feed Me, Please by Kiki Clark
4.0 stars ~ Basil and Viktor, the epitome of opposites attract, are wonderful characters. I really enjoyed this size difference, vulnerable and sweet alpha and the omega who finally finds a family.

Anthologies are my jam. I’m so excited to be reading one with mpreg stories. I can’t to see what direction each author will go.
We are starting off with The Breeding Session by Piper Scott. I love best friends to lovers. It’s even better because of how long they had been friends. The way it ended was perfect.
The next one up is The Pregnant Omega Next Door by Anna Wineheart. My heart hurt for Emre. I’m so glad he met Zenith. I loved the concept of the cart and his name. I want more of this world.
Lisa Oliver is a joy to read. She gives us Shiloh and Corbyn, an Omega Hearts spinoff story. This one was a little darker than the past two. I am so glad Corbyn and Shiloh have each other. This made me want more of them and this world.
Grae Bryan gives us One-Life Stand. This one is as fun to read. Bracken a feisty prickly fae and Tanner was the sweetest alpha.
I’ve never read anything by Margaret Couplet so I’m interested in seeing what Voluntary Discharge is all about. This was a sweet tease of a read. I would have loved more.
I haven’t read. Toby Wise book in a while. Can’t wait to see what Alpha For Hire is about. OMG it’s so beautiful. I loved every bit of it.
I love Kerry Kilpatrick’s work. Not In the Birth Plan sounds exciting already. Yes!!! Silas and Rowan stole my heart. I adored baby A too. What a great read.
Crea Reitan is another author I haven’t read before. Breedable sounds like an intriguing read. This was very interesting. I admire the creativity in making the world. Not sure I’d want to dive to deep into it though.
Of Rain and Enchanted Forests by Layla Dorine sounds like a fairytale. Oh man was this good. I love the world and want more of it.
JP Sayle has Blood of the Damned-Thorn for us. A very unique read for sure. I’ll let you be totally surprised with this one.
Sam Taylor writes great stories. I knew I would enjoy Liam because His Sunshine and Little Wren were so good.
Allie W. Scott writes such sweet reads and His Sweet Perfect Mate is no exception. It was wonderful with the best ending.
Another author I haven’t read is Alice La Roux. Knot His was a nice peek into their created world. Definitely makes you want more.
It’s been a while since I’ve read a Megs Pritchard book and I was excited to see their In Your Eyes. I love mixed paranormal reads. This was so good. I loved the ending.
Kota Quinn is so good at the sweet and cuddly reads so I know I’m going to love Knotted Hearts. Yep I did. I’m addicted to this world and can’t wait to read more from it.
Anna Sparrows is another favorite of mine. I’m curious to see if His Bear Bombshell is connected to any of her worlds. Yes! It’s connected to the Shifter Sanctuary series. I’ve only read the first one but now I need to read the rest.
I love Kiernan Kelly’s work. I know I’m going to enjoy The Leopard Omega. It was such a fun read. What a great first meeting and such a sweet ending.
Morgan Elektra is another new to me author. Shield My Heart has such a great world. I’m going to need more of it. We need an HEA for Dante.
My favorite author for dragon shifters is next. Minerva Howe with Securing His Mate. I am so happy we got Hamish and Reed’s story. I’ve been wanting it since I read Des and Starry’s. This author always makes such exciting worlds and great characters.
I have read a few books by Ashlynn Mills and really enjoyed them, especially the Nights at the Seville ones. I can’t wait to read There’s Always Tomorrow. This one was interesting but it left too many questions.
I’ve only read one story by Vinni George and it was in an anthology. The Gallery was such a sweet read. I really like how the author paid attention to details about the shifter species.
I find Jena Wade’s shifter books to be really good. The Right Time was so good I immediately went to look for the series it is connected to.
I haven’t read Michele Frost in a good while. I’m excited to see what One More Time is about. I need more of this world. I enjoyed getting Nash and Micah’s story but I want more.
We come to another author I haven’t read. Onyx and His Golden Retriever is by Rye Cox. What a cute read. I really liked the world too.
I can’t believe I’ve only read Kiki Clark in an anthology. Feed Me, Please was absolutely adorable. I hate what they went through before but loved how they came together.
What a great mix of stories this has. I enjoyed them all. There is something for every shifter romance reader. Plus, these stories make you want to read more by the authors.

This anthology is a beast of a book, with 25 authors to choose from, some of whom I’m familiar with and some totally new to me that I’m looking forward to discovering. I’ve started reading with my favourite authors, who all knocked it out of the park with these steamy mpreg stories.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ One-Life Stand by Grae Bryan

Blurb: A one-night stand turned something more.

Contemporary fantasy
Human x Fae
Hookup to more
Accidental pregnancy
Prickly fae x Stoic bartender
Second chance-ish
“I’d kill to fuck you again.”
Bracken sniffed and gestured to the carpet. “And yet I see no corpses strewn about the floor.”
Only Grae Bryan could convince me to love something in the second chance vein. Bracken is hilarious in his prickly-ness and I got serious Rip Wheeler (from Yellowstone) vibes from unflappable Tanner. Delicious from start to finish.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Feed Me, Please by Kiki Clark

Blurb: Eight-months pregnant and down-on-my luck with the good-for-nothing Alpha who’d gotten me into this mess nowhere in sight, I decided I’m better off on my own.

Neighbors
Contemporary omegaverse
Size difference
Strangers to lovers
Heavily pregnant omega from outset
“My big, strong Alpha swept me up into his arms before my body could even consider falling to the ground in a heap of aroused goo.”
I’ve read a helluva lot of Kiki’s books (most of them in fact), both contemporary and fantasy, and pretty sure this is the first omegaverse from her I’ve read. All I can say is THERE BETTER BE MORE COMING. Food as love language? Scary alpha male being soft? Perfect.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The Gallery by Vinni George

Blurb: Milo Frost’s dreams of owning his own art gallery have finally come true. But there’s a catch. The gallery Milo bought for a song is in Key West, which means uprooting his life in Chicago and heading south. Which might be a little uncomfortable for a snow leopard shifter who prefers the cold. Noah Cove grew up in Key West, but lately, running his family’s snorkeling and scuba diving operation doesn’t feel like enough. It feels like something is missing. When he runs into a sexy stranger, Noah realizes Key West finally has everything he’s been looking for. But will their connection be enough to convince Milo to stay in Key West or will Noah have to face leaving his hometown for the first time?

Contemporary shifter fantasy
Snow Leopard omega x Stingray alpha
Unexpected heat
Fated mates
“I need you to understand that if we do this, there is no going back for me. If you let me come inside you, I won’t ever be able to let you go.”
I love all Vinni’s shifter books, they are actually what converted me to reading Mpreg, so I knew I’d love this. The way their animals influence their characters is unique and special and the romance is as sweet as the action is fiery.

I’m a sucker for a good omegaverse story, so these little mpreg snippets have been very fun so far.

Spicy, sweet, fun, plenty of mutual pining through their determination to keep their platonic friendship strong despite making a baby together. This one was straight up funny at times, with Luca muttering things like, “I’m being *so* normal about this” in between kissing West (very platonically, of course). 😂
I was already a fan of Piper Scott but I will definitely be looking up more of her work!

“The Pregnant Omega Next Door” by Amy Wineheart
A little bittersweet but in a good hurt/comfort kind of way as pregnant Emre finds a much better man and relationship than the abusive one he’s been running from. I haven’t read much by Wineheart but I enjoyed this one enough to go look up her other things. The weirdest thing in this universe (that was also surprisingly sweet and well written into the story) was the semi-sentient shopping cart that was an apparently common thing. Well, now I want to know *more* about these carts and the alphas and omegas that use them, so I’ll have to read her related series.

“Shiloh and Corbyn: an Omega Hearts Spinoff Story” by Lisa Oliver
This was definitely a darker addition, with a world where omegas are widely considered only good for breeding and having one of our main characters, Shiloh, be a recent rescue from an underground breeding camp. It was hard to see his mistreatment after he was supposedly “safe” but it made it all the more meaningful watching the contrast of Corbyn’s actions. I have a feeling this one will stick with me.

“One-Life Stand” by Grae Bryan
I’m a huge fan of Grae Bryan’s writing, so I was excited to see this one—and I was not disappointed. Bracken and Tanner suit each other perfectly, and it was very sweet to see both Tanner’s steadiness and Bracken softening towards him in his own unique way. 😂 I would love to see more written in this world (unless it’s already a part of her Vampire’s Mates world and those characters are just oblivious? 🤷‍♀️) and I hope we see more of these two in a future story. Lovely spice balanced with sweetness. Definitely a favorite.

Pausing here until I’ve read further. :)

———————
Continuing!

“Voluntary Discharge” by Margaret Couplet
I love good-hearted meddling grandmas and childhood friends reconnecting. Short and sweet, with just the right amount of spice and heart to round it out. One of my favorite things about anthologies is finding new authors and I will definitely be checking out more of Couplet’s stuff after this lovely little story.

“Alpha for Hire” by Toby Wise
Heat partners catching feelings may be a common trope in omegaverse but it’s still fun to read it done well and Dario and Allen were so sweet together. My favorite part of this story was watching their thoughts as they go about the “business” of the heat—trying to be rational about how quickly they’re addicted to the other. They each realize the connection is extra intense but keep pushing the knowledge away even while their actions silently betray their feelings. Good stuff. :)

“Not in the Birth Plan” by Kerry Kilpatrick
A fun twist on the one-night stand, where Rowan hooks up with the kind uber driver who taxis him home after a bad breakup. Silas, of course, ends up being a gem of a person who does his best to show Rowan he deserves better than his worthless ex. When the accidental consequences of their hookup lead to Silas driving Rowan again months later, he shows once again just what a stellar man he is.
Loved this one! Rowan was smart and independent and doing his best and Silas was just a treasure—kind, steady, and caring while still feeling like a person instead of a wishlist. This was another new to me author and I can’t wait to see what else they’ve written.

Break time again, will be back with more reviews once I’ve read more and it’s not two in the morning 🙃

4.5 ⭐ Overall

There were some cute Alpha/Omega MPREG stories. Proceeds support Planned Parenthood. Found some new to me authors I'm going to add to my TBR.

🩵

Alpha for Hire by Toby Wise

4 ⭐

Dario and Allen were instalove, sweetness. Finding your match through a Alpha for Hire heat site and then having an unplanned baby. I just wish I could have had a bit more of them falling in love.

Not in the Birth Plan by Kerry Kilpatrick

4.5 ⭐

Silas and Rowan were very cute together. The Uber meet cute, turned one night stand, turned baby daddies. I loved it. I really enjoyed seeing them parent together and just fall in love.

Liam by Sam Taylor

4 ⭐

Liam & Henry were sweet. Finding your fated mate while pregnant with someone else's baby could cause problems but Henry didn't care and loved Liam anyway.

His Sweet, Perfect Mate by Allie W. Scott

5 ⭐

Maklihn & Clynt were everything. Their story was sweet swoony goodness. Maklihn's letters to his kiddos got me in my feels. This was my first read from Allie W. Scott but it for sure will not be my last.

Knot His by Alice La Roux

3.5 ⭐

Rowen & Gideon were cute but the story ended a bit abruptly for me. I wish there had been more of the pregnancy and at least be able to see the birth and know the baby's name.

Knotted Hearts by Kota Quinn

4 ⭐

Kestrel & Brooks were sweet. I don't usually like Alpha/Omega stories where the Omegas are treated as less than but this was done well. I really enjoyed watching Kes & Brooks fall in love but I wanted to meet baby or least know their name.

His Bear Bombshell by Anna Sparrows

3.5 ⭐

Conrad & Timmy were cute. It was an interesting premise that alphas had to be "unlocked" to know they were alphas or shifters. The story wasn't bad just missing something for me to really be involved in the storytelling.

The Leopard Omega by Kiernan Kelly

3 ⭐

Char & Josh lackluster for me. The story was written in 1st person POV but would change to 3rd randomly. I really enjoy fated mates but this didn't hit that itch for me.

There's Always Tomorrow by Ashlynn Mills

3.5 ⭐

Hazel & Parker were sweet. The idea of taking a bunny home & them turning into a human before your eyes was interesting. Honestly just wanted more from them. The story ended a bit abruptly for me.

The Gallery by Vinni George

5 ⭐

Milo & Noah were so perfect. I really liked this story. The dock mishap meet cute and trying to be friends yet absolutely enamoured with each other. I loved it. Also baby Mira how cute! 🥺

The Right Time by Jena Wade

3.5 ⭐

Tyler & Theo were a quick easy read. Denying their feelings for each other so they wouldn't make each other uncomfortable. To then finally own up to it.

I’m glad these stories have blurbs! Grae Bryan and Kiki Clark are the best stories. Lisa Oliver, Anna Sparrows, and Morgan Electra were pleasant surprises. The rest are just okay or DNF for me.

The Breeding Session by Piper Scott - 3 ⭐️ Friends to lovers with a little bit of angst about it and UST.

The Pregnant Omega Next Door by Anna Wineheart - dnf

Shiloh and Corbyn by Lisa Oliver - 4 ⭐️ I almost skipped this one because it’s a spin off of a series I’ve never read but that would have been a shame because I really enjoyed this. The omega life described is pretty bleak but Shiloh at least gets a HEA. Could definitely read more of this couple.

One-Life Stand by Grae Bryan - 4 ⭐️ Very fun and sexy story with a prickly fae that has ‘don’t touch me’ cat energy. But he really wants to be touched. Could read more if there’s more to tell.

Voluntary Discharge by Margaret Couplet - 2 ⭐️ Way too short and rushed. Felt like the beginning of a longer story.

Alpha for Hire by Toby Wise - 3 ⭐️ Cute!

Not in the Birth Plan by Kerry Kilpatrick - dnf

Breedable by Crea Reitan - 2.5 ⭐️ Unique take on omega verse but a lot info dumping for such a short story. Feels like it might be extended later into a longer MMMMM poly romance, maybe.

Of Rain and Enchanted Forests by Layla Dorine - dnf

Blood of the Damned by JP Sayle - dnf

Liam by Sam Taylor - 2 ⭐️ Meh. Too short.

His Sweet, Perfect Mate by Allie W Scott - dnf

Knot His by Alice La Roux - 3 ⭐️ Felt like the beginning of a longer story rather than a complete one.

In Your Eyes by Megs Pritchard - dnf

Knotted Hearts by Kota Quinn - 3 ⭐️ I enjoyed it but also felt like it could have been longer.

His Bear Bombshell by Anna Sparrow - 4 ⭐️ I Didn’t Know I Was Pregnant meets shifter omega romance 😂

The Leopard Omega by Kiernan Kelly - dnf

Shield My Heart by Morgan Electra - 4 ⭐️ Historical vampires meets omegaverse and I enjoyed it a lot. The alpha was very conscious of the omega’s autonomy even though it caused them both a bit of pining and angst. And the men were just casually wearing skirts and dresses.

Securing His Mate by Minerva Howe - 3 ⭐️ Okay but too short. Am I goofy or was Alistair’s kidnapping story in a different anthology?? Either that or they are running together. Lol

There’s Always Tomorrow by Ashlynn Mills - dnf

The Gallery by Vinny George - 3 ⭐️ Good UST!

The Right Time by Jena Wade - 3 ⭐️ Pretty good beginning but then Theo’s insecurities disappeared super fast. Idk.

One More Time by Michelle Frost - 2 ⭐️ Cop MCs 🙁 And for discussing serious topics, it was too short, imo.

Onyx and His Golden Retriever by Rye Cox - dnf

Feed Me, Please by Kiki Clark - 4 ⭐️ Swoony caretaker vibes.

3/5. Generous asf considering there were, like, maybe a handful of decent shorts in here? I’m sorry, you can hate me x infinity, but this absolutely drug itself on forever, and at 48% when I realised I wasn’t even halfway through? I literally cried. I just cannot understand why the art of writing a legit short story has been lost by so many. It’s not a book, it’s a short story. It doesn’t have the same structure as a full book. Trying to cram an entire door stopper into a few chapters is never going to be a good time for anyone involved. Hodor does not fit in the old iPhone 3 box. And then some folx gotta go and make shit fucking odd and off-putting, and it never recovers… One even made my Top 3 Worst Things I’ve Ever Read list, and that’s… that’s just… I read the first 3 pages of Twilight, okay? I read the first 12 pages of 50 Shades of Grey. I read goddamn God of Fury. I have seen awful and I know her, un-fuckin’-fortunately.

I’m suddenly realising how fucking mean being besties with COVID for the last few weeks has made me because I’m not even trying to be kind I’m so frustrated and over it. I fully support the charity aspect, and I found some super good gems in here, but it was like mining for diamonds in a slate mine—with a busted toothpick and a dream—to find them. I’m so happy to be done, and I’m thrilled that my notes didn’t sync up because no one wants to see that bitch fest.

The stories that made the entire thing worth it are as follows:

— One-Life Stand by Grae Bryan
— Alpha for Hire by Toby Wise
— His Sweet, Perfect Mate by Allie W. Scott
— Knotted Hearts by Kota Quinn
— His Bear Bombshell by Anna Sparrows
— The Gallery by Vinni George
— Feed Me, Please by Kiki Clark

Oh, and is anyone gonna explain to me the logistics of frotting like you’re trying to fuse both d**ks into a singular D, between folx with a fairly significant size difference, whilst somehow simultaneously eating b-hole like it’s the finest meal ever served AS YOU FOIST SAID HOLE UP TO YOUR MOUTH VIA SOME LEGS-ON-SHOULDERS-POWER-MOVE SHIT, because I got fucking questions and you can’t make that shit make sense. Y’all do too much.

Working my way through!!
all stories come with mini blurb and any CW.

The Breeding Session - Piper Scott
I absolutely love Piper's Single Dad Support Group series. This is very similar but with low angst as two best friends share Luca's heat so he can get pregnant. Of course, it's never that simple and I love how West's character may be the alpha but needs guidance and reassurance from Luca, the omega. Equally hot and sweet.

The Pregnant Omega Next Door - Anna Wineheart
This story is a part of Anna's Babies for Broken Daddies series. Entertaining and crazy hot but with a darkness to it that gets pushed back by the alpha. Emre and Zenith's romance may be quick but it feels just right for them.

Shiloh and Corbyn - Lisa Oliver
This one may have darker undertones but Corbyn is the epitome of alpha in his respect for omegas in general, let alone when it comes to his mate, who he comes across giving birth whilst being disrespected and mistreated. Shiloh is one of the strongest omegas but having Corbyn's unwavering support is what makes it a beautiful story.

One Life Stand - Grae Bryan
This one is a lot of fun to read. Bracken, returning to Tanner's bar four months after a one night stand, is the same haughty Fae who left in the middle of the night. Now judge carrying an extra person. Tanner couldn't be more happy and I love the banter between them. very hot between the human and Fae, too.

Voluntary Discharge - Margaret Couplet
A shorter story with Ezra, a pregnant omega returning from military duty, coming back to the pack where his childhood friend, Giovanni, is now pack alpha. A quick happy ending for all involved.

4.5 ⭐️

This LABOR OF LOVE anthology is out June 2nd, and all proceeds are going to planned parenthood. I've only read three of the stories so far, but they point to the fact that this will be anthology you want, ESPECIALLY if you're into ABO stories or Mpreg.
●●●●

Feed Me Please: Kiki Clark

When Basil is left pregnant and alone, he decides he doesn't need an alpha. "I don't need no man" vibes are going strong. But when he is moving into his new apartment, the smell of dinner is so tempting it has him knocking on an unknown alpha's door asking for food.

Viktor is drawn in immediately by Basil, and the connection is practically instant. Basil may not need an alpha, but that doesn’t mean he doesn't WANT one.

I loved Viktor just going along with things like, yes, here are all my dreams coming true.
●●●●●
His Bear Bombshell Anna Sparrows

Tim knows he shouldn't go to the "unlocking party", he isn't allowed because he's an omega. But he goes anyway, and now, months later, his body is feeling weird. He would think he's pregnant, but he's a virgin!

Conrad is a bear shifter alpha, newly awakened from the latest unlocking party. He has a thing for his boss's son, the omega fox shifter, Tim.

They're both having dreams about the other, and their hearts are saying "mate," & they finally start dating. The baby, when she comes, is a true shock to Tim, who didn't know he was pregnant. LOL
●●●●●●●●●
The Pregnant Omega Next Door Anna Wineheart

This little short story was weird as hell. Like, what is happening? What is this universe?

Emre is on the run from his abusive ex-alpha. He's pregnant & has an 8 month old pup and a sentient shopping cart named ButtWheel. One night, the smells from a neighboring apartment are too tempting, and he goes over to beg some food. Zenith, a giant dragon shifter, lives there and shares.

Then he shares his giant dragon dick (winky face). Again, this was a weird but entertaining story that had me side eye-ing and laughing!!!

*All proceeds from this anthology go to Planned Parenthood*

What a fabulous collection of stories in this knotty book supporting a fantastic cause. Fans of alphas, omegas and mpreg will seriously enjoy this selection from 25 amazing authors. Here are a few that I’ve read:

🍼 The Breeding Session by Piper Scott - We have two clueless friends/roomates to baby daddies. When Luca goes into heat and asks West to give him a baby “platonically” he does what any good friend does…helps his buddy out.

🍼 One-Life Stand by Grae Bryan - When prickly fae Bracken shows back up at Tanner’s bar 4 months after one hot night together, the unflappable Tanner gently and patiently convinces Bracken of his devotion.

🍼 Blood of the Damned - Thorn by JP Sayle - A very unique take on vampire/human omega pairing. Not to mention how baby vampires enter the world! Ouch.

🍼 His Bear Bombshell by Anna Sparrows - Tim goes to a Shifters Sanctuary Unlocking party and despite a terrible hangover he’s no worse for wear. But a few months later his body is starting to change. It doesn’t stop him crushing on alpha bear Conrad though…

🍼 Feed Me, Please by Kiki Clark - Heavily pregnant omega Basil, meets the Alpha he didn’t know he needed when he smells the delicious scents coming form Viktor’s apartment. As Viktor says, “Whatever my sweet Omega needs.” He means that with all his heart.

Will be doing mini reviews for each story I read

The Breeding Session by Piper Scott
4 stars
The mutual pining angst here was so good but I wish the resolution wasn’t so sudden.

One Life Stand by Grae Bryan
4.5 stars
Tanner was pretty 2D and your average dude (which I suppose is kind of how he’s meant to be portrayed) but Grae wrote Bracken so prickly and yet so cute??? I want to wrap him in a blanket and hug him lol, honestly I think one of my favourite characters here.
I loved the sexual tension but wish the seduction scenes went on for longer because the chemistry was so good.

Knot His by Alice La Roux
4 stars
Again the pining angst was so good but the resolution seemed kind of sudden?? Like suddenly Gideon knows the baby is his? Since when?? We’ve been in his head the whole time lol.

His Bear Bombshell by Anna Sparrows
3.75 stars
The party thing at the start was kinda weird to me. Interesting world building concept but still weird??? Everyone blacks out and just fucks random people??? Huuuh.
But Timmy and Conrad were pretty cute (although damn Timmy that’s a whole new level of oblivious lmao)

Shield My Heart by Morgan Elektra
DNF
This just reads like straight regency romance. Lothian was so stubborn for no reason and Ryland was smitten for no reason. The more I read the more I disliked Lothian, like why are you like this??

I am a huge fan of multi-author charity anthologies. This one is even more worthy than some…Planned Parenthood does so much good in this world. I follow a lot of the authors in this collection. I have read most of the stories, but here are reviews for three of them.

Lisa Oliver’s Shiloh and Corbin: Shiloh is a rescued omega, giving birth alone and with no alpha to help him. Corbyn comes to his aid at a very uncomfortable moment, but he is determined to be the alpha he knows he can be for Shiloh. These two have to get to know each other in some very unusual circumstances. It doesn’t take long for them to find their family peace.

Minerva Howe’s Securing His Mate: I love this author’s dragons. Full stop. Hamish and Reed are awesome. Hamish is all big, bad warrior dragon and “grr stay away from my mate!” Reed deserves all the good growly possessiveness too. All the good things. These guys have quite the found family situation going on.

Kiki Clark’s Feed me, Please: Basil is done with alphas but there is just something about his new neighbor that he can’t ignore. Viktor is used to being ignored or scaring people away because of how he looks. This big alpha, however, is a great big softie that just wants to help and cherish the omega, very pregnant and all alone.

Labor of Love is an Mpreg Charity Anthology with lots of amazing stories from lots of amazing authors. This is my review of the stories I've read, when I read more I'll try to think about updating this

- Blood of the Damned by JP Sayle
This is the story of Ledger and Thorn. I loved this short introduction to their story and can't wait to read more of them. It was sweet, sexy, full of feels and very well written.

- His Sweet, Perfect Mate by Allie W. Scott
This is the story of Clynt and Maklihn. I loved their story. It was sweet, sexy, full of feels and very well written. I wouldn't mind a longer version of their story, someday.

- Knotted Hearts by Kota Quinn
This is the story of Brooks and Kestrel. Their story was really good. I loved it. It was sweet, sexy, full of feels and very well written. I wouldn't mind a longer version of their story, maybe someday.

- His Bear Bombshell by Anna Sparrows
This is the story of Conrad and Tim. I loved their story. Loved seeing some familiair characters. Their story was sweet, sexy, full of feels and very well written. I loved it. Again, I wouldn't mind a longer version of their story and would happily read it again.

4.5⭐️ Piper Scott really enjoyed that the omega was the dominant confident force with the alpha sweet and unsure. A very cute little read. I hope Piper expands it as I’d love to see more from Luca and West.

3⭐️Anna wineheart a light story, sweet at moments.

3⭐️ Lisa Oliver a different idea, I did struggle connecting to the story sadly. But sure others will really enjoy.

5⭐️Grae Bryan Grae does snobby stroppy characters so well. I loved the prickly Bracken and sweet reliable Tanner. I hope we see more of them

4⭐️ Layla Dorine I really enjoyed this story. I hope we see more of this group of characters and world. Will be checking out the author. Only down side was the amount of spelling errors.

4⭐️JP Sayle I liked the vampire/divergent side of the story and I really liked Thorn. I’m not sure about how vampires are born however….

4⭐️ Sam Taylor this was so sweet.

4⭐️Alice la Roux I need more from these two. It was very cute and I need more!

4⭐️ kota Quinn really enjoyed Brooks and Kes. They were good together and incredibly sweet

3⭐️ Jena Wade a cutesy tale

4⭐️ Kiki Clark this was adorable. I really liked Viktor and Basil. I hope Kiki expands it
