A full-hearted, standalone romance you can devour in one sitting—Hope Unleashed that are readers are calling, "The perfect snack when time’s short."
He came to bulldoze my town. So I told him to kiss my grits. And that handsome devil had the gall to order seconds.
HOPE
The last thing we need around here is some slick billionaire with greedy plans to take over Sweet Haven.
I don’t care how drop-dead gorgeous he is or how he can twist a silk necktie into something sinful.
Momma’s bakery is a legacy carved deep into my soul, and no one is going to take that away. No one.
Not even the likes of Mr. Perfect—Chase Hawthorne.
I’m about to teach him a lesson he won’t soon forget...
My bark is nowhere near as painful as my bite.
CHASE
This deal was simple. Come in. Buy the land. Build another Super Mall.
But this sassy Southern woman, with maple syrup in her veins and fire in her eyes, acts like she owns this whole damn town.
Miss Hope Delaney…
Loud, impossible—stunning—and dead set on setting fire to my plans.
And the more she fights, the deeper my desire grows to give her something to really moan about.
I always win, but this time I might have met my match. And if she strikes,
We're both going down in flames.
Hope Unleashed is the Book 1Standalone of a sizzling enemies-to-lovers small-town romance series. Full of bite, heart, and the kind of slow-burn heat that leaves permanent scorch marks.
I fell inlove with Hope the moment I met her. I love how Tess described and brought to life Hope’s fiercely spirit and loving heart. Chase and Hope were perfect together and I enjoyed reading this.
I am not usually a fan of short stories but this was a sweet, enemies-to-lovers romance embroiled in controversy. Chase Hawthorn expects the residents of Safe Haven to buckle under pressure for the development proposed by his family business but he hasn’t counted on fiery opposition from local Bakery owner, Hope Delaney. She becomes a thorn in his side in more ways than one and soon has him questioning his current life plan and future happiness. A dangerous threat to Hope and the other residents of the community plus a confrontation with his father fuels the fire of Chase’s discontent. Hope Delaney is one sassy, Southern Belle who stands up for herself and everyone else in her small town. This story is well written, the characters are believable and the ending is heart warming.
This was such a quick read… I finished this within an hour, so if you want something to keep you occupied during a lunch break, this might be just the snack.
The hero has no spine (or morals apparently), and the heroine is self-righteous and advocates for the survival of their town and the preservation of their memories.
A little predictable, very low on actual relationship building, but enjoyable nonethless.
If you like small town romances, you’ll love Hope and Chase’s story. Enemies to lovers with a little spice. This novella can be read in about an hour, so perfect when time’s short. A cute book that was a fun read. I received a free advance copy of this book via the author and voluntarily chose to write a review.
Don't let the small-town setting fool you; this book delivers serious slow-burn steam. The chemistry between Hope and Chase is off the charts, and it was impossible to put this book down!
