The Christmas Shop Inheritance

Rate this book
She inherited a run-down Christmas shop. She didn't expect to find love behind the cobwebs.

When Amy Davenport inherits her great-aunt's Christmas Shop, she arrives in Sunset Cove expecting holiday magic and lots of childhood nostalgia. Instead, she finds peeling paint, cracked walls, and a small mountain of debt. Reopening the shop will take a leap of faith, especially with her family pushing to sell the building. With the help of a few friends, Amy thinks she’s up to the task.

Evan Carpenter understands fresh starts and hard work. As a crew member with Grant Construction, he’s eager to help Amy restore The Christmas Shop and grow roots in Sunset Cove. What he doesn’t expect is how quickly this city girl will grab hold of his heart.

With Christmas rapidly approaching, Amy must decide if she’s willing to trust Evan. Can he convince Amy to accept his help, and his heart?

The Christmas Shop is a clean romance series with small-town charm and a dash of faith.

I was expecting more of a "Christmas story" when I started this book but it is really a romance with a Christmas shop that is open year round setting. So I suppose it could have been any kind of shop and not really change the story much. But I love the idea of a Christmas shop. I collect ornaments so they are always favorites to go to for me. I even had the realization while reading this story that if I were to ever go into business, a Christmas shop would be my thing. I won't be going into business though. I'll just continue to enjoy shopping in them.

I liked the characters and this small town where people want to help others. The romance was kinda insta-love even if they said they were taking things slow. But I was glad they liked each other and that he was so supportive of the store.

Obvious Christian theme in the book but not too overly much. It is a quick read, sweet and clean.

Amy has been left The Christmas Shop by her aunt, it''s not in good condition as it's been closed for two years. Amy's mother wants her to sell it, people in their position don't run shops! But Amy, with help from Evan, a contractor, Charlotte, an old friend from Sunset Cove, and her cousin, Taylor, is determined to get the shop up and running. Can they make their dreams come true?

A great short story from Tori.

I want to start by saying I received an ARC of this book. This is a sweet clean romance book. The main characters are Evan and Amy. Evan works for a construction company and Amy inherited a Christmas shop. Amy arrives in Sunset Cove to take over the Christmas shop. However, it needs work and her mom wants her to sell it and move back home. She meets Evan who loves the Christmas shop as much as Amy and offers to help fix it up. Will Amy fix up the Christmas shop and stay? Will she sale the shop? Will she let Evan help get the shop running again? I loved how adorable Evan was. He was such a sweetheart and so supportive. I loved seeing Evan and Amy together. The side characters were amazing and I hope they get books if they don’t have them already. This book was like instalove to me which I loved. I am Christmas obsessed so I enjoyed reading about a Christmas shop year round. Overall, I loved this book.

Working and owning a Christmas shop where you can be surrounded by Christmas year round sounds dreamy. When Amy arrives in Sunset Cove, she is there to fix up the shop she received from her aunt and move on. But fate has other intentions.

This sweet, faith-infused romance will make you smile and was the perfect size for a lunchtime read for me. Amy and Evan made each other better together. The entire cast of characters were likable and easy to get to know. It is always interesting and fun to visit Sunset Cove and adding the Christmas theme made it even more palatable.

Thank you to the author for this ARC. I am leaving this review voluntarily.

A second hand to find yourself and happiness

Amy's family believes they are too important to be involved in something as mundane as running a Christmas shop but her Great Aunt Ellen left it to her and she is determined to reopen it. Help comes from Evan who always loved the shop and tried to help the older woman who owned it. Now he is attracted to her niece and determined to make the shop a guess so she'll stay in the little beach town. A heart-warming, Christmas spirit filled tale that will leave you smiling.

I love coming back to Sunset Cove and catching up with the characters in the previous books. Amy is such a sweetheart and loved how she put her heart and soul into restoring her beloved aunt's Christmas Shop. Evan is one sweet guy who felt an instant pull to Amy. Loved seeing so many come together to help Amy.
