I was both disturbed and delighted by this book! I remember finding faces in everything when I was little, but seeing some of the odd faces represented in this book was kind of creepy, not to mention some of the captions that went a long with the pictures... "We have eyes and ears.... and can help you hear..." It felt oddly threatening, like all these inanimate objects that we anthropomorphize are observing and waiting to be of service to us....

Now that I've read far deeper into this picture book than necessary, I'd recommend it for children everywhere!

Robert certainly has a lot of imagination to find faces in as many places as he does: tools, headphones, hardware, boxes, dials, chairs, and many more interesting places. Very bright, colorful photos make the faces easy to see.

May be a little too abstract for some kids, so it's recommended that you talk through the book with them.
