No one ever said love is easy. In the third installment of an eBook original serial from the New York Times bestselling author of Ruined and Addicted, Aria and Sebastian discover that building trust might be harder than they ever imagined.
My name is Aria Winston. I’ve fought desperately to escape the seedy underbelly of Las Vegas. Now I’m on my own, in control of my own life and my own destiny . . . just the way I like it. Until Sebastian Caine changes everything.
Ever since taking Aria under his wing and into his seductive domain, Sebastian hasn’t been able to think straight. Their chemistry is intoxicating. Their power exchange is exhilarating. And the sex leaves them both absolutely exhausted. But if there’s one thing Sebastian does know, it’s that he needs to protect this strong yet vulnerable woman. Because she has depths that are unknown—even to her. Aria has worked hard to establish herself as anything but submissive. That isn’t who she is, or who she wants to be. So why does it feel so sweet to give up control . . . and so intense when Sebastian takes care of needs she doesn’t even realize she has? But he has needs of his own—and secrets that run just as dark and deep as Aria’s.
Play Me is an erotic serial intended for mature audiences. Aria and Sebastian’s story continues in Play Me: Real.

Sebastian discovers where Aria lives and stumbles upon his past. A past full of painful memories.
Self loathing comes to the surface.... Sebastian is not happy... but why?
Our leading couple get to know each other more, it's all over a very short time span so it feels pretty intense...
They both have deep, dark secrets.
At 45 ish % the story began to pick up pace.... It became interesting and intriguing. When I felt the thoughts and inner voices of the hero and heroine it was lovely. They have a great chemistry and the sizzle factor.
Ethan Frost, a character from a previous story by Tracy Wolff, makes an appearance. He's the best friend of Sebastian and very charismatic. I loved him being in it, a great character who added lots of personality to the story.
The one thing I wish the author had done differently concerns
Play Me: Hard is the third book in a 5 part erotic serial. It's a very sexy light read with likable characters who're looking for their happy ever after.
And the end! OMG. Readers will need book 4 ready and waiting!

This next installment was a bit better for me. Although this was me for the past couple of nights on my couch....
I actually don't think it was the book this time. I think all the nights of staying up late are finally catching up to me. PLUS, I have this incredibly soft and cozy blanket that I wrap myself up in. It's lights out as soon as I whip out that blanket!! LOL
Sebastian is turning out to be very swoon worthy. He's falling hard for Aria and has an overpowering need to protect and care for her. Aria, is so head strong and independent. She tries to push him away but she's unable to deny her feelings for him as well.
I'm still not quite sure what her story is with her family and what the deal is with her dad. Sebastian seems to have a history with Aria's neighbor, Janet, an alcoholic, who Aria befriended and has been sort of taking care of.
There's a lot going on in this one and literally my head is spinning now. I'm wondering where this story is going because there are several different plots taking place. But I'm enjoying the books enough, and I want to know how this will end. :)
Aria and Sebastian have just spent a passionate night together, and both are at a loss for how they feel about each other.
“Maybe that is why I’m having so much trouble with Aria. Because I don’t know where to put her, how to classify her. She’s sexy as hell-every movement she makes, every word she speaks, shoots straight to my dick. And her attitude is a total turn-on. How can it not be when she’s smart and sassy and doesn’t take shit from anyone? Even me. Especially me.”
While neither knows what where they stand is obvious both want more, then just a one night stand. In this installment we see Aria beginning to turn to Sebastian, and while she doesn’t want to admit it to herself she needs him and wants him.
So far Sebastian has seemed like an open book, a knight in shining armor and honestly I have loved him for it. He has been open with Aria about his feelings for her, he takes care of her, hast crazy hot sex - what’s not to love? Well, we all have secrets…
I really enjoyed this installment, it was fast paced, had a lot of story and previews of what’s to come. After reading this I am very excited for book 4!

Title: Play Me: Hard,#3 Series: Play Me Author: Tracy Wolff Release Date: 2nd December, 2014 Rating: 4 “pinkie-promise” Stars Cliffhanger: Yes HEA:
It wasn't for the fact that it was mentioned, I wouldn't have remembered of even noticed the fact that Aria and Sebastian have only know each other three Days. It's been an intense, sexy & emotional 3 days. They fit together so well and I'm very much enjoying the comforting nature Sebastian adopts with Aria no matter how much she resists.
In this instalment both Aria and Sebastian come face to face with the darker side of their past and although there is some light shed, I'm looking forward to it being fully illuminated. With an ending like that, it looks like in Sebastian's case it will be sooner rather than later.
It's also nice to see Ethan and Chloe from Tracy's Ethan Frost Series make an appearance and it seems it won't be the last we see of them either.

4 "I've Got You" Stars! (ARC provided by Netgalley)
Sebastian & Aria continue to see each other, & Aria is still confused as to what they are to each other, & where they stand. He is still tender, sweet and cuddling her one minute, & then wild, wicked, dominant, & intense the next. He also gives her the best sex of her life. Even though her life is a mess right now, he makes her smile, and makes her feel safe, & she hasn't felt safe in a really long time. Aria swore she would never be taken care of by a man again, but she loves the comfort she feels in Sebastian's arms. I loved how Sebastian takes care of Aria, & I liked we finally get a look into Sebastian's past, & find out some about the memories haunt him. I look forward to getting more of Aria's past, & finding out her real identity. :D
-He's breathing slowly, steadily. I can feel my own breathing syncing up with his. It's a strange feeling, this being so in tune with another human being. It's not something I'm used to and I'm not sure how I feel about it.
-With Sebastian, for the first time in a very long time, it's not my safety I'm afraid for.
-From the moment I walked into his office and he told me that I was getting my job back, I haven't been able to see anything- anyone- but him.
-All that matters is the warmth in Sebastian's eyes when he looks at me and the way he makes me feel good about myself and my life.
-She's beautiful, so beautiful that it makes me ache a little. Makes me want in a way I haven't let myself want in so, so long.
-I like that I knock her off-kilter in much the same way she does me.
-"You need someone to take care of you. I want to be that someone."
-Control is a funny thing. The tighter you hold on to it, the less you actually have. It's only after you loosen your grip that you come to understand what it means to truly be in charge. Of your lover, of yourself. Of your life."
In the third installment, Sebastian and Aria spend time together discovering alittle more into their past. They both sense that this attraction they feel towards one another is not just a passing fancy. They each bring a passion, a heat, a fire to one another. While they have only known each other a few days, they know what they have is different.
"I don't know what you want from me," I finally tell him. "Everything you have to give. And then more."
We also meet one of Sebastian's best friends, Ethan Frost, and his fiancée, Chloe Girard. He has a vendetta and needs Sebastian's help. We also find out that Sebastian has one of his own.
We also get more of Aria's past. Her secrets are slowly coming forth. We see her family and her fears.
Get prepared because the ending comes and OMG.....you better have book 4 ready cause it's a major cliffy!!

3.5 - "I think I know you better than I did three days ago." Stars.
Novella three picks up literally where two left off. Sebastian and Aria are starting to understand more about each other, their pasts, and what makes the other tick. Not a huge amount of development in the storyline until right towards the end of this installment.
A certain Ethan Frost makes an appearance as well, being a long time friend of Sebastian’s, they have a few things to discuss, and it was nice to see a little of him, while waiting for book three in his own series to be released.
Control is a funny thing. The tighter you hold onto it, the less you actually have.
As I said the main developments seem to happen later on in this novella, but I am hopping straight onto book four, to see where Tracy takes Sebastian and Aria, after the ’BIG’ revelation at the end of this one.

I'm lost, confused, intrigued. Going forward because going back isn't an option. And neither, it seems, is standing still.
Play Me #3: Play Me Hard, is the third installment in the Play Me series, Sebastian needs to care for Aria, showing her that she isn't alone, that she can trust him enough to give her what she needs not just with their sexual encounters. Unsure of where they are going or what they are even doing, ever assumption she has made is wrong, as Sebastian continues to be the gentle dominant man who wants more than she is willing to offer him. Aria remains a big mystery to me, we get a glimpse of her family, but nothing to really explain much about what happened fourteen months ago. But the ending of this just totally threw me for a loop, as Sebastian's past comes face to face with him and he isn't prepared for it just yet. As I was reading, I was speculating which way the story would go and I have to say it surprised me, it wasn't something I was expecting. This is still engaging enough to make me want to continue so off I go onto the next.

3,5 Stars. It took me some time to warm up to the story again, and for the first 40% it was a little tedious. But after that the plot got very interesting and it picked up.
So many things happened that had my head almost spinning.. First and foremost, Ethan Frost makes a cameo appearance, bringing with him a plot line powerful enough, that may end up being a key point for the rest of the series.
The sex of course was also a focal point in this intallment, and pretty hot if you ask me.
As for the next one, i hope for some insight on their past. Aria's family story and Sebastian's actions that involve Janet, after such an ending, you have to wonder what is going on.
THOUGHTS ABOUT THE BOOK
- Sebastian has a big secret. - We had a bigger glimpse into Aria's everyday life. - Ethan and Chloe, were a great surprise. - Janet?? - So many questions.

5 Passionate Stars
Play Me Hard continues the intriguingly erotic story of Sebastian Caine and Aria Winston. Things are getting deeper. It picks up exactly where book two in the serial series leaves off. In my first two reviews I’ve mentioned how much I feel this writing and this author’s plots. It’s excellently written, in my opinion. There’s not much worth complaining about with these serials. I love the characters and the writing and the plot enough that I’m zipping right through the books. So I’ll just tell you what I love about book three….
In Play Me Hard I love how the author keeps the plot moving forward. Always moving ahead and moving on, the conflicts are not long drawn out processes. She moves the story forward while still maintaining the mystery of the past. The actuality of the situation is that while these characters move forward each of them falls further and further into the others rabbit hole, so to speak. It seems like so much time is passing when the reality of the story is they’ve only known each other a few short days. The fact they both acknowledge the trust for each other and the need for each other implicitly I also find intriguing. They both feel it, the reader feels it and understands it. The beauty of the characters is that they don’t quite understand the why’s of their new relationship. What will it mean? What does it mean already? How much are they willing to expose? I love that Sebastian wants to break Aria open and I love open Aria is to the idea. The story is all about them and the mysteries of their pasts without other characters muddling the connection. The need and passion is palpable through the writing.
There’s a cliffhanger to end Play Me Hard that’s more acutely jaw-dropping than the rest. You’ll be so drawn into Sebastian and Aria’s world it won’t even bother you. You’ll just wait for more to see where they end up.

4 Mysterious Stars
Sebastian has taken Aria home after her shift, where both of their walls fall just enough for them to have a light heart conversation where neither of them are hiding anything or trying to figure the other one out. It's sweet and a little funny. But when the next day comes, reality hits both of them in the face with the reality that is their lives. Sebastian trying to prop up his father's ailing Casino and his college friend, Ethan Frost, shows and drops some news that brings them both to a beneficial arrangement.
Aria, unfortunately, runs into her father which sends her crashing emotionally and to Sebastian's office door for a release only he can give her.
I liked this one a lot. There were steamy, emotional and anxious moment. A little more of what's happening in both of their lives that has been hidden is coming to light. I loved their funny conversation about things no one else knows about them. Sebastian's affinity for Fruit Loops and her attachment to One Direction. That part of the book made me laugh out loud.
Given this is a novella series and things have to move quickly, they are already falling for each other, but fighting it in order to keep some control over what happening to them as well as slogging through what they both think they deserve out of life.
I waffled at giving this one a 4.5 because it was that good. Butt also bring the entirety of the series, so far, into my rating I had to give it 4 stars.
I didn't want to read the third book right after the second because I didn't want my disappointment to lead me to DNF this one.
I tried to stay away for a few weeks and first it was hard to get back to the story. The book picks up right after the end of Play me Hot and we are in the middle of a conversation.
What didn't work for me here was the fact I had once more a revelation coming out from nowhere. In book 2, Sebastian suddenly becomes a Dominant and in book 3, Aria has suddenly a secret identity.
But what sealed the deal was the fact that around 70%, you have a BIG revelation about a previous book from another series I want to read.
I know sometimes books can be related but a little warning before I started to read this book or even the series would have been great.
Now I'm pissed because I already know something I shouldn't about a book I'm not sure I still want to read.
Sebastian and Aria's relationship started out volatile, passionate and popping yet Sebastian's need to control Aria is not working out for her due to her past. I love how Aria makes sure to stand up to Sebastian and let him know what she wants and needs without being scared of him. Though, I didn't agree with her on hiding her past from him because when we keep secrets from those closest to us things always go wrong!
Like the previous books, this one is hot and sexy!! Now the ending I DID NOT see coming and ‘WTF?!’ was the only thing I could think. It left me with so many questions, hoping the next two books would answer them. ~ Kara, 4.5 stars
In this installment, I really am starting to feel the connection between Aria and Sebastian. There was some really great build-up and development to their relationship. Also, there's a lot more mystery in this installment. Who is Janet???? I am loving this series!
Book 3 in the Play Me series begins where Book 2 left off. Although not quite as steamy as Book 2, there is still a couple of heated scenes and we also begin unraveling some of secrets that Sebastian and Aria are protecting.
In Play Me Hard we get to see the effects of "sub drop". Crashing hard after their first experience together, Aria gets treated to some wonderfully sensual after care. While Aria may not understand the need, it is clear that Sebastian is well experienced in this arena lending further evidence to my speculation that some of the secrets that he is hiding may pertain to his involvement in the BDSM world.
In addition to generally getting more used to one another, we get a surprise visit from none other than Ethan Frost from Ms. Wolff's series of the same name. Although his involvement in Play Me is quite literally "interrupted" before we get a complete sense of his involvement in the Play Me series, it is clear that Ethan and Sebastian are old friends and Ethan is looking to lean on his old pal, Sebastian, to resolve a rather thorny family issue.
Part 2 of this serial ends in quite the cliffhanger as another completely unexpected, and yet to be completely discovered, person from Sebastian's past surfaces.
I can't wait to see what happens in the next installment, Play Me Real! Hopefully we will gain further insight into the dark secrets that have made Sebastian and Aria into the characters they are today.

Play Me Hard is the third instalment in the Play Me eBook series and Aria and Sebastian's story continues where it left off in the second instalment.
I felt that this instalment built a little more on the emotional connection between Aria and Sebastian. Of course they are still confused about what they are feeling and are in a denial of sorts but they are slowly coming around. The sexual chemistry is blatantly obvious from the last book and in this one, but the emotional aspect is creeping into both their heads as well. Book 2 consisted mostly of their first sexual encounter whereas this one provides more of a story. It digs a little deeper into both of their pasts but still leaves the reader wondering even when giving some clues. Over and over it mentions what happened to Aria fourteen months ago but never tells us what it was that happens. What really grabbed me though was the glimpse into Sebastian's past. Again we do don't know much about it but it becomes apparent that something very big happened there as well.
This instalment solidified my need to finish out the series because now I want answers and I need to know what happens. You will want book 4 immediately because although each book is a continuous story, there is a pretty major cliffhanger with this one.
As the story continues we are slowly introduced to more the story line. We get a small glimpse into Aria’s past and a hint of the something that is troubling Sebastian.
Part three brings us enough information to start to piece the story together in our head. This is the part where we try to string along all the clues. Slowly things are being made clear, but some things aren’t as simple as they seem. As a cross over occurs with characters from one of Tracy Wollf’s other series occurs, the plot twist is revealed a little bit.
I was left with so many new questions after reading this, questions that I knew I needed to have answers to. The ending of this installment as a bit of a cliffy. I thought I had figured out just who was going to be behind that door – but found that I was completely wrong.
In this installment, we see the tender side of Sebastian. He wants to take care of Aria.
And now that they've had intense, wild sex, they can cool their jets (a little) and get to know each other - loved their Q&A session.
But they're both a little unsure of what this thing is between them. Is it just sex? Do they feel more? How could they feel more so quickly?
"I don't know what you want from me".... "You know exactly what I want...It's the same thing you want from me." "What's that?"... "Everything you have to give. And then more."
Allllriiighty then. Thanks for clearing that up, Sebastian. Where do I sign up?
This is my favorite of the serial so far. It's hot and sexy, but we learn more about the characters. I still want to know more, but there are more books to read, so I'm hoping we get all the answers in the next 2 installments.
And then that ending!!! That ending had me reeling! What did she say?
This copy kindly provided by NetGalley on behalf of the publisher.
I read parts 1-5 consecutively as one book, and therefore will review them all together.
a love at first sight story, with both parties carrying plenty of excess baggage.
I really liked that this had a pretty quick pace. I hate getting shorts where everything just drags. For me, there was none of that here. there was always something happening and it was always moving forward.
parts were a little predictable, not screaming in your face predictable, but more just logical conclusions to the events and info given.
I haven't previously read the Ethan Frost books, so I can only assume from the notes at the end, that the next one will give us details on Aria & Sebastian's progress with their plans.
Alright, darn it! I need some details. Enough with these hints and half scenes. I NEED to know what is going on. With both Aria and Sebastian. I want to scream (in excitement) about all of what is going on. This is just so addictive. Even as I write this I want to stop and go read Part 4.
arc provided via netgalley and the publisher for an honest review 4 murderer stars this installment provides more answers into the dark pasts of our main characters. there is so much vulnerability given here that makes them feel so relatable. this book ends on the biggest cliffhanger of the series so far . In the third installment of the Play Me series we finally get a glimpse into what may be lurking beneath the surface with these two characters. Aria and Sebastian are trying to figure out where they stand with one another while also getting to know one another a little better. I really liked Sebastian and I felt like his level of alpha was a lot easier to tolerate than most billionaire heroes. He's patient and knows when to give and take when it comes to his feisty Aria. We also get an encounter (albeit without much detail) with Aria's infamous father and a major cliff hanger that involves Sebastian's dark past. With how short the books are I'm curious how the author is going to pack everything that's still unknown about the characters in the next two books. Play me Hard leaves you wanting more. The ending of the book is a shocker! Like who saw that coming? I sure as hell didn't! Sebastian a murder? Yeah never in my wildest dreams did I see that one coming around! He seems to reserved to in control for that to be true, But then again We do see him stopping by that same door and knocking, heck I thought it was going to be some girl he knocked up or something. Never saw that coming. IT WAS A PERFECT SURPRISE! Now I just want to skip this whole review part and jump to the next book!! AH!
We begin to see and understand more of Aria's control issues. Or we think we do. She has a thing about people telling her what we do, we see this in the very first book, but its something totally different when Sebastian says "Don't make me force you." The way she starts to react makes me thing she was hurt or forced to do something she didn't want to. We know she has a strain relationship from her parents and that she was at one point engaged, but we still haven't learned what exactly happened. And now the author gives us small bits to try and drive us crazy to figure it all out!! YOUR KILLING US HERE! Ah and Sebastian, can get more dreamy? Takes Aria home after work, draws a bath for her, bathes her, gets her off, and then tucks her in bed before leaving to go get her car and buy her groceries! Its the small things that make for a great book and character and that was the icing on the cake for him! We also get to meet Ethan Frost! he has his own series, that I can't wait to read either! We also are introduced to 2 what I am assuming are mob men. And I believe they will play a larger part in Aria's story as well!
I received a copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
In this third book, we see more of Aria and Sebastian and their deepening relationship. As much as Aria tries to push Sebastian away, she cannot deny that they have something unlike anything either of them has experienced before.
A huge part of the book was Sebastian taking care of Aria after he took her home. Also, we see Aria almost losing her shit when she thought he was giving her the brush off. We also see her affected after her visit to her sister, where she saw her father.
A liked this installment because this showed how Aria and Sebastian affected each other after their steamy sex. It alos gives us readers a view of what Sebastian's secret was and who the mystery woman he was referring to in the previous book.
I've become a fan of this series because the hero and the heroine are both complicated characters but when they are together, when they have scenes where there's no one else but the two of them, things seem quite simple. They was each other. Nothing more simple than that. I'm going to keep this review short because I can't wait to get to the fourth book.
Sebastian becomes a bit too controlling in the third installment of the Play Me serial for my tastes. He turns into a smoother version of Christian Grey. I don't have a problem with alpha male characters normally, but when they start controlling when their girlfriends work/don't work, what they eat, etc etc it becomes too much.
I know that Aria and Sebastian's relationship is consensual, but Sebastian's arrogance is starting to wear thin on me. I know he cares for her, as evidenced by the chapters that we're in his head; I just wish he allowed different actions to show that care.
Aria continues to grow on me with each and every installment. ESPECIALLY in this one when she calls Sebastian out on his bullshit and refuses to be bulldozed by him. She's asking more for what SHE wants and what SHE needs. I heartily applaud her aplomb.
Aria and Sebastian have a lot of issues to work through. Aria meet up with her past with him. She never wants to go that route again but to her it sees like she is but it doesn't either. In the end, she up to giving him a chance. But will she regret it?
Sebastian's whole intent is to take care of Aria. Even when she tries to push him away he stays. He breaks her walls down little by little. But will that be enough once his past catches up with him or will it destroy them?
I could not put this book down. I love this series. This is one book/series that I will read again and again. Reading any book's by Tracy is awesome. I love them. She has not disappointed me. I can't wait to read the next book and anything else by her.
Book 3 picks up right where book 2 has ended. Sebastian has taken to Aria and is trying to show her that what they have together is so explosive that they need to continue to see where it may lead. But both of them have dark pasts, that neither one of them are ready to deal with.
Aria has fought long and hard to be the one in control of her life, she has never seen herself as the submissive one. But she finds herself doing just that with Sebastian and she enjoys it. The chemistry that they share together is soul shattering and they cannot seem to get enough of one another. Sebastian finds himself wanting to take care of her more and more, regardless of where they will end up. He is so drawn to her and wants to figure out what has made her the way that she is. On to Book 4
Ok, things are starting to heat up. Luckily this book is not all foreplay, but don't get me wrong...steamy scenes are still there. This book gives us even more snippets of Aria and her family problems and Sebastian and his past. Totally predicted what was gonna happen with Aria's neighbor though I have no clue on the connection. One of the best parts is that Ethan Frost shows up and there is a connection to the craziness that took place in his series. Now off to read book 4 to see what secrets from Sebastian's past are gonna come out. I'm starting to think that we won't be very far time wise when this book series finishes up, but we shall see.

"I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads."
This is the third in a series of 5 and they need to be read in order.
Things are getting more complicated in both their worlds, and clearly the plot is thickening. Flat 109 is going to prove significant somehow ... There are some fabulous touches when Aria and Sebastian are together. Their conversations have progressed from stunned disbelief, but remain guarded.
The writing is smooth and the dialogue catchy. Thank goodness that book 4 is waiting for me.
