This is an isekai that surprisingly hasn't saturated the market yet. The premise is that a robot otaku dies and gets reincarnated into a fantasy world with knights and magic and giant robots piloted by Knight Runners that can weild both. Our hero is over the moon and puts his all into becoming a Knight Runner. However he soon realizes that his dream would take more than just time and effort. It would probably need an entire revolution of robot creation. Along the way he makes friends and manges to both impress and befuddle those around him and very comedic ways.
I highly encourage any fantasy or Isekai genre lovers to give it a try.
I didn’t expect to love this light novel so much, but it completely won me over! The premise isn’t the most original, but the characters, the dialogues, and the humor – refreshingly free of fanservice – are all excellent. The setting isn’t highly complex (at least so far), but it works well and never overwhelms the reader with information.
I picked this manga up on a whim while looking for something new to read. I wasn't entirely sure what to expect, but was hopeful given it is an isekai like a couple of other manga that I've enjoyed recently. I'm not normally someone with an interest in robot stories, so they aren't my first pick, therefore I was surprised by just how much I enjoyed this volume, it was such a fun read.
The characters are cute and amusing, the plot is engaging and the artwork is really well drawn.
I'm now really looking forward to continuing this series.
A young adult man with an obsession for mechs dies in Japan and is reborn in a fantasy world where knights use mechs to fight large magic beasts that constantly threaten the safety of the kingdom. The kid is taught magic, improves it, and quickly becomes OP since he wants to work with robots. It all sounds rather cliché, except perhaps the mechs, and for the most part it is: both the story and the characters. Still within the genre it was an enjoyable read, not the best, but certainly not the worst.
An interesting change to a regular reincarnation story. In a world where magic exists, so to do robots. What do you think would happen when a robot otaku gets reincarnated? This is an entertaining read and what I think is great representation of a light novel; light. The story is a little silly but a whole lot of fun. A must read before you watch the anime.
Not terrible but not really all that good either. If I'm being honest I'm reading this series because I liked the anime and I'm hoping the LN releases go further into the story.
A passionate character makes me passionate about about the story. I love seeing people geek out over the things they love. Does the protag achieve things too easily...? well, probably... but i'm enjoying the ride for now. Reaction shots of peoples stunned faces are one of my favorite things out of these types of series. does not disappoint.
