Slaughter Bridge, they have named the ford where the great battle was fought, and the deeds of those days pass into legend. Yet there is one who knows the Merlin. Herein is his account of those times - of betrayal and death, of pride and lust and of deathlessness too. For the fey power of the sword Caliburn shapes the destiny of both mortals and the undying ones.
I'm mystified as to why there are no reviews on this book to date, or that the author has had no books published subsequent to this one. This book is very well written and an interesting re-invention of a legend as seen from the eyes and narrative of Merlin. My only complaint is that it is several chapters too short and doesn’t allow for the development of Arthur (Artorius in this case). It is the one of the better books I have read in this genre. Regardless of whether you have an affinity for fictional books about the Arthurian legends and characters, this book would still be recommended. However, if you do happen to be interested in books related to the myths, legends and mystique of King Arthur, this book is recommended and one of the better ones. It is a relatively short book, but my hopes that Ann-Marie Morales would be more prolific and that she be given more appreciation and attention. Highly recommended.
