Tatum
My best friend is settled. He met the love of his life and was granted guardianship of his younger siblings. I’ve had the goal to help him for what seems like forever, and now that things are good for him, I should feel complete, right?
But there’s always been a piece missing for me. Has been for a long time.
Something I don’t think I can ever fix.
And then suddenly, that part of my past shows back up in my life. He should hate me. I hate me. But that’s the thing about Remy . . .
He’s far too good for this world, and I’m once again terrified I’ll break him.
Because that’s what I do.

Remy
I want to forget about my past. It’s my life’s goal.
I’m not that weak little boy trapped in foster care anymore. I’m stronger now. I’m the principal at a major school in the Kansas City area. I’ve grown into the man I knew I could be.
I don’t talk about the past. I refuse to.
But then it’s shoved into my face, and I can’t look away. I can’t walk away like he did all those years ago.
Sometimes I despise this stubborn streak inside me. I should stay away. He has.
But there’s this pull there—even after all these years.
I can put on a show for everyone else, but when he’s around, I start to crack.
Why can’t I be strong when I’m around him?
Tatum. The only one who sees right through me.

This book was a disaster. I didn’t like a single damn thing, and I couldn’t bring myself to give a single fuck. The saddest part? Tatum used to be my favorite when he barely had any page time— turns out giving him the spotlight was the worst mistake imaginable.

After taking a step back from being Kellan's backbone now that Phillip is permanently in the picture, Tatum feels a little adrift. Something is missing in his life, but he can't quite figure out what.

When he rekindles his friendship with Remy, despite how the pair parted twelve years prior, he realizes that the boy who was a bright spot in his life has turned into a guarded man he doesn't know.

As the pair grow closer, Tatum realizes his feelings for Remy are more than friendly, but because of Remy's traumatic past—one he struggles to open up about still, Tatum isn't sure what their future holds but he's willing to do anything to make sure that he doesn't lose Remy again.

I've been waiting for Tatum and Remy's book since there tension filled run in, in Only Temporary, and I have to say it did not disappoint!

I have loved Tatum from the beginning, and seeing how patient and understanding he is with Remy and his hangups, all while navigating his own bisexual awakening at the same time, solidified that for me further.

When Remy finally explains what happened to him as a child, and you learn why he and Tatum parted ways, you can't help but ache for Remy and Tatum both, and for all the time they lost together.

While their story is super sweet, it did feel a little too rushed. I would have loved a bit more tension between them before they finally got together, but I still loved this regardless!

This author always delivers on all the sweet and swoon-y vibes and this book was no different.

I really enjoyed this found family. They are important with both Tatum and Remy's difficult past and for once this trope made sense and not forced.

I did have a bit of trouble with the way Remy crossed some boundaries with the kids he's the principal of. I know it comes from a place of care but him clearly choosing sides in an important matter is something that dragged me out of the story.

The connection between Tatum and Remy, grows in soft and gentle ways which is, lets be honest, my favorite kind of way.
I think because there are no major things happening between them apart from one deep conversation it could feel a little bit boring towards the ending.

I do have to say I had a great time reading it and was a perfect non drama book.

tropes:
friends to lovers
childhood trauma
found family
'show me'

So I was debating on even reading this one because Tatum was such a manwhore in the last book. We see his room is filled with women’s bras and panties and used condoms and he cheated on his girlfriend with her friend. All red flags for me as a MC. But there was something about him that was so very likable that I decided to give this a try.

I was enjoying the book at the beginning. How Tatum and Remy found each other again after 12 years. They were in group homes together as kids and were best friends but then circumstances tore them apart.

We see them meet at the high school where Remy is the principal at (which him being only 24 and a high school principal seemed so unrealistic to me). They both are afraid to talk to the other because they think the other hates them but then one of kids gets them talking again.

I liked when they started hanging out. How they wanted to just hang out all the time but then at 30% Remy turns down a hangout with Tatum because he has a scheduled hookup with a guy from an app. Now reading some of this authors books I thought oh he will definitely back out of the hookup and we will see in the next chapter that he didn’t go through with it but I was wrong. He does end up hooking up with some guy. He explains it as being “nice” nothing to really write home about you can see Tatum feels some type of way about this. Yes they were only friends at this time but it still put a bad taste in my mouth. And then a week later Remy is all “I don’t want Tatum to date anybody.” So it’s okay that a week prior you went out and had sex with someone but you don’t want him to do the same? Anyway this really tainted the rest of the book for me. Their interactions were cute but the whole time in the back of my head I just kept thinking about the hookup (it was off page) and how it wasn’t even necessary to the plot whatsoever. I found myself skimming the rest of the book after that. The only reason I finished it was because I know Cason is going to have a book and I’m interested in reading that.

I also didn’t like how Tatum’s addiction was like an afterthought. They had a discussion about it but we never see the discussion it’s just brought up that they talked briefly about it. This is such a serious subject that I felt it should have been handled better. Most of the book centered around what happened to Remy as a child that Tatum’s issues didn’t get the attention it deserved.

it’s official.
nicole truly shines in a foster care setting. you can tell there is her heart and soul in those books, and this one wasn’t any different.
i truly loved this, even if i would’ve liked a little bit more conflict at the end, but it was just so good that i don’t care that much.
i even teared up a couple of times.

now, excuse me, but i have to go and beg nicole for cason and liam’s book.

i read an arc and all of that

I was really looking forward to Tatum’s book, the cover is pretty good, but honestly, I'm not very enthusiastic about it.

That said, I still like this series overall, I like the setting, the social workers and the foster kids, the family they all create together, so I'd like to stay in this universe with a few more books.

🟢Childhood friends to lovers
🔵 Both are former foster kids who were once placed together and already know each other
🟡 High school principal/a mechanic
🟣 24/28
🟢 Hurt/comfort
🔵 Size difference
🟠 Gay/GFY, seemed more like pansexual to me
🟣 Read Only Temporary first
🟢 Found family (more fostering, adoption)
❗ SA – minors, some physical violence
🌶️ Sex scenes aren't abundant, but are good; a lot of first times (kiss; with a man; bottoming); frotting, oral, rimming, penetrative; both vers

Remy and Tatum kind of let me down. I was hoping for a hot, a bit angsty story, but about 30% in I already knew what was coming. It’s the usual romance formula this author writes; predictable (not always a bad thing), a bit cheesy, and sure, it's enjoyable, but not super exciting.

This looks very inviting and I already liked Tatum from the last book, so after that ending with Tatum running into Remy again after years apart, with such a heavy past in foster care, I really expected more tension and drama.
I also wished we’d get more about that past. You eventually find out why they drifted apart, but it kind of feels like it could’ve been explored a lot more.

50% in and they're already at declaring forever love, a serious commitment and all this before they even have sex and before anything substantial happens between them that would make these words warranted.
Their past should’ve been handled completely differently for it to feel real. I get that they’re attached in their own way, but if their connection as kids was really that deep, it should’ve come across much more clearly.

In the previous book, Tatum was so into women he was basically a total slut, but now he's hung up on this guy, which is fine, but I mean that is such a red flag though, Tatum switched overnight and went from “Because I’m a player who thinks with his dick, and people get hurt.” to “What this is, Remy,”—his eyes hold mine—“is the end game. The final. It’s you and me. You’re it for me. Only you.”.

Don't fall for it, kids.
He'll go back to women soon enough.
But it's fiction, so let's pretend he's actually staying put.

About 80% in the author also throws in the fact that Tatum is basically an addict and that just sounded like an afterthought, while it was a pretty big deal for him if he constantly needed meetings and therapy. You wouldn't guess it based on his everyday life, though.

Remy and Tatum are together for most of the book, quite a few weeks pass in the story and they're developing their relationship off-page; eventually they move in together and in the end when you look at it, Tatum's love story is completely forgettable.

But I did like Tatum and that's about all I'm taking from this book.

That, and Cason and Blake hopefully getting their own book. If the author puts Cason with Liam, that's going to be just another in the line of books like this. Why not make it enemies to lovers and make it really interesting? And for crying out loud, don't put the main characters together at 30% already, completely abandoning all the potential drama and tension.

Only You is a MM romance story about Tatum and Remy.

When we first met Tatum as Kellan’s best friend in Only Temporary, I was hoping we would get his story next. Tatum and Remy were in foster care together when they were younger, and Remy ended up pushing Tatum away. Now the two of them have reunited twelve years later. Tatum is a mechanic and struggles with addiction. Remy is a high school principal and is guarded because of his past.

Tatum and Remy start hanging out together, and we soon see how Tatum is interested in being more than friends. Remy holds back because of his traumatic past, but eventually he wants to try for more. This was Tatum’s first time with a man, and it was great that he wanted to jump all in, but it all seemed too fast. Their whole relationship felt a little too rushed for me.

It was so heartbreaking to learn about Remy’s past. Remy didn’t want to push Tatum away again, but Tatum wouldn’t let that happen. Tatum was so patient and supportive of Remy, letting him know he was worthy of love. I do have to say I kept waiting for Tatum to open up to Remy about his addiction. It wasn’t until late in their story that Remy tells us that Tatum has been honest with him about his addiction, but that was it. I needed more and wished we would have gotten a little more of Tatum’s backstory.

I loved that we got to see Kellan and Phillip along with Kellan’s younger siblings he has guardianship of. Tatum had such an amazing relationship with all of them, and I was happy to see how easily they accepted Remy. Overall, this was a very sweet yet emotional story. Although I believe this might be marketed as a standalone, I would suggest reading Only Temporary first to get a better understanding of the characters and their relationships.

I received an advanced copy of this book, and this is my honest review.

Absolutely loved Tatum and Remy’s book. It was such a beautiful story, so sweet with so many wonderful characters. This was super low angst, while still dealing with dark backgrounds from both MC’s. If you enjoyed Only Temporary, you’re going to love this one!

Probably another enjoyable read! I'm looking into potentially avoiding books in which heroes have met/formed some kind of connection/started interacting, and one is still hooking up with Others. If I know about the event and can consider the context ahead of time, and am able to make that decision, great. And this situation is not for me.

I liked this a little less than the first book, but it was still a beautiful story. Everyone felt like one giant family and loved how both Tatum and Remy each had a special bond with the kids that were equally protective but still very different.

Remy's past story was heartbreaking to read, and i felt so bad so both our mc's. I was already curious about their pasts in book one, so i was so happy to read more back story. There's just not much to say about their love story; it was like silence. it was slow and gradual, small moments in each chapter that showed them getting more comfortable with each other and enjoying being back in each other's lives.

“I saw that man. I saw his eyes. Tatum, I think there’s a reason he showed back up in your life.”

I'm soooo hoping we get a book for Cason because we have to!! there's no way he's mentioned with a particular someone here only to not get a book.

the tension is going to be tensioning ✨🌿

Sooooo I thought this was going to be a five star because I was happy while reading. And now that I’ve ordered my thoughts and talked about it with my buddy read (the lovely Emna), I lost a star 🤣 Sorry to the author for that.

Anyway: this is a lovely feel good book. A lot of angsty moments, some really bad memories, and teenage (real!) drama coming together, and ending up in a beautiful love story.

What bugs me about it, is the perfectness of it all, especially when it comes to Remy. He is a principal at age 24. Sorry but that’s just not a thing. I can imagine becoming a principal at an elementary school at the end of your twenties maybe. But a principal at a high school where you’re just 6 (6!) year older than the average age of your eldest students, and literally all of your staff is older than you? I do not think any board would go ahead with that. And as a parent it’s even a bigger no. Your brain isn’t even fully developed at that age (ok, maybe almost, but still). And yes there are very grown up 24-year olds. And he’s very gifted and everything. But still. It would have been a lot more realistic if the author had made him a dean or something like a homeroom teacher.
Also: why aren’t there any other adults working at that school? (Except for the social worker we don’t really meet, but who doesn’t mind over hours and taking pupils to coffee shops? Was that weird or is it again just the parent in me? I know in these books women are always either drunk addicts or saints, but in real life as a parent I’d be worried if a social worker would take my kid to a coffee shop for counseling…)

And also: going to a pupils house after they asked you for dinner? Even if you know his brother already and he is his legal guardian? Red flag… A thing a 24 year old might do maybe but that’s still a bit out of line, especially if you haven’t asked that brother.

All the stuff with Tatum was very cute (although there were some annoying “but you’re straight” remarks from Remy).

So totally five star feelings most of the time. And then we get to the very end, and what do you know… Remy isn’t only incredibly smart and everything but also kind of a saint because of course he spends Christmas in a group home where he knows all the kids… And Tatum has no idea about that although they already live together and spend every non-working waking hour together… Why would Remy not tell him that whenever he visited? I know why… The author suddenly thought that would be a lovely idea and just threw it in there and forgot to go back and mention it a few times earlier because that would have been too much work. And then as soon as the two boys are mentioned you can write the epilogue yourself…

If I had though, I would’ve been nicer about fostering kids. Because I think it is possible to keep foster kids without having to say goodbye to them all the time… Just be good for them. And yes, it is lovely to adopt them if they need a forever home. But even if they don’t, you can still be there for them and help them even if they go back home. Maybe the American system works different than ours, but here foster kids only get moved when they either can go back home, or when you don’t provide them with a safe home (or when those kids are too troubled for you to be able to provide them with a safe space). Because it’s important for kids to have a stable place. If the kid is safe, and there are no changes in the home situation, why would anyone move them? So why wouldn’t you want to foster kids, only adopt them?
Sorry about that rant but it just annoys me so much when authors use these types of things to finish off a story without really understanding what they’re saying.

Long story short: the book was lovely and made me happy most of the time. There are some annoying points, but in the end I think it delivered. Don’t think I should reread, but I do recommend.

PS: just one more… Why don’t Kellan and Phillip move their bed or put a pillow between the headboard and the wall? What was the idea behind that little cringy scene where Cason yells about it to Remy (still his principal) and Tatum? 😱😅🤷🏽‍♀️

This is one of those delightfully irritating communication stories where two people are clearly batshit crazy for each other, but they dance around it for ages. The type where you’re shouting at them to ‘say something!’

Sweet PoTatum loves his Remy to his core, and once they finally decide to give it a try, he doesn’t hesitate to make Remy feel loved and wanted. He’s such a sweet person who loves hard and works hard to be there for the people in his life. It was good to check in with Kellan, Philip, and the kids too.

Although I did enjoy it, I also think that their story feels more rushed; it didn’t hit me emotionally the same way the first book did. A lot of the story is about other characters, and even their story is focused on Remy a lot. I would have loved to have more on Tatum’s history and how he came to be the man he is.

Still, it was very cute. A little sad at times with some difficult topics, but for the most part, a sweet and enjoyable read.

Oh I devoured this book like crazy! After loving the previous book, Only Temporary and all these amazing characters, I was so hyped to read more about Tatum and the lovely people we met there 💕

Remy is the principal of some of the siblings of Kellan, the best friend of Tatum. They have a shared past, or at least they did at some point.

That alone is a delicate detail, add in some amazing and explosive chemistry and longing, and you get why Tatum and Remy can't stay away from each other ❤️‍🔥

I always appreciate it so much when MCs actually talk to each other, especially over heavy topics and both of these MCs did that so well.

Gaaah, I'm swooning over here okay 🤭

This author really writes such fantastic stories, I always forget the time discovering them ✨️

Getting Second Chances

It took me a few chapters to realise that I’d read Keelan and Phillip’s story ages ago, (Only Temporary) and that Tatum was the guy who helped them find their way together.

Now Tatum who sometimes helps out when Keelan needs someone to collect his much younger siblings from school, is shattered when he recognises the School Principal as Remy Valentine, his best friend from their days together in the foster care system.

My heart broke for them, especially Remy, and it took him a good while to share some awful incidents he suffered when he was placed in what should have been a very good home. Tatum wasn’t around during that time as he was placed far away in a different home.

Watching Remy slowly lower the walls he’s built to protect himself when he just can’t resist his old friend Tatum just melted me. How they both slipped into Keelan and Phillips ‘family’ and helped the teenagers with their issues at High School. Maybe in a few years the author will come back to this family and check back on Cason and his sister Kaegan’s progress when they finish High School. Especially Cason and his friend Liam as they seem to be mirroring Remy and Tatum’s relationship at that young age.

Tatum always assumed he was ‘straight’ but also recognised that he was having feelings for Remy. And this huge guy, didn’t bat an eye, he just accepted it for what it was and dived right in.

What started out as a possibly horrible tale of abuse and neglect turned into a beautiful story of finding your person again and just knowing that this was all meant to be.

I’m sorry, but I hated this just as much as I hated the first book. It was only 200 pages and the repetition was insane! I read the same shit over and over, at least 10 times! I really don’t think this author is for me! I want to read Cason’s book, but not if it’s more repetitive bullshit!

Oh and still all telling and no showing. I have to read about stuff in past tense! I want to read about it as it’s happening!

Tatum and Remy are estranged, after first knowing each other in foster care. They were separated for a but, ever the sun shiny joy kid, Remy came back … different. Tatum knew something was wrong, tried to help Remy, but Remy shut down and pushed him away.

Unfortunately, this book just missed the mark for me. I went into it thinking it was a standalone, but it quickly became clear that it should be read as part of a series/duet. From the very beginning, I felt lost, as though the story had picked up directly where another book had ended.

There were many characters introduced and discussed, but without much explanation about who they were. Because I hadn’t read the previous book, this made it difficult to follow and connect with the story. the secondary characters seemed to dominate most of the book, often overshadowing the new main couple. Even during moments when the mmc’s spent time together, it was usually with these other characters, which limited opportunities to really see their relationship develop outside of intimate scenes.

I do think this story might have been more enjoyable for me if I had read the first book beforehand and understood that it was part of a larger series. Still, I would have liked to see more focus on the central couple’s relationship as it grew on its own, rather than mostly in a group setting.

I have been waiting for Tatum’s story since reading Only Temporary.

While this has some heavier themes discussed at times, it’s pretty light overall. No third act breakup. Just sweet, sweet Tatum loving on Remy.

I really liked both Tatum and Remy and enjoyed reading about their love story. I think I would have enjoyed it a smidge more if we got more of Tatum’s background or even him talking about being an addict to Remy. It didn’t have as much as an emotional impact as Only Temporary. I still enjoyed it and loved the characters.

I really love how much we get Kellan, Phillip, and the kids in this book. Such a beautiful found family. I just want to sit down at the dinner table with this crew or go to the batting cages.

I definitely think everyone should read only temporary before reading, but it can be read as a standalone.

Arc review

Tatum Luck has not had an easy life. He grew up in foster care, and never felt he belonged. He suffered from alcohol abuse, but is now sober. He met his best friend and his ride or die, Kellan, and bought a house for them both to live.

Remy Valentine is the principal of the local high school where Kellan’s siblings attend. Remy was also in care with Tatum years ago, until they were split up. They were each others solace, and looked after one another. He does not date or kiss, just hooks up and blocks. Remy was traumatised while in care (read trigger warmings) and has never sought help, instead putting it in the back of his mind.

Tatum’s found family all want him to get together with Remy. Reagan (Only Temporary) and Remy strike up an unusual friendship, even though he is her principal. They each agree to get professional support for what they have both been through. Remy opens up to Tatum, and once he lets down his walls he opens his heart to love. Tatum identifies as straight but not when it comes to Remy, he is the only man he finds attractive.

I have been waiting for Tatum’s story ever since I finished Only Temporary.
Nicole Dykes has written yet another gorgeous heartfelt book. The words flow so easily.
Tatum is such a caring chacarter and puts everyone above himself. He deserves love. His love for Kellan and his siblings and then Phillip and then Remy is so beautiful to read. He is one of the most loveable characters I have ever read. He deserves the most wonderful happy ever after.
Remy has had a hard time while in care and needs to find that one person who he can confide in.

Firstly let me say I got this book from gay romance reviews and this is me leaving my honest review.
Wow I’ve got to say I throughly enjoyed this read. It was great to read more about Phillip Kellan and the kids. But Tatum and Remy stole the show. I just couldn’t stop smiling reading this book except for the part you’ll know where once the read the book.
Tatum and Remy first met when they were foster kids. And friendship blossomed quickly even when Remy got moved but they stayed in the same school. But then something changed and their friendship broke away. Now years later they have reconnected. With the help from the kids they start hanging out once again but then Tatum starts noticing feels and attraction but how will Remy feel? Remy is a gay man and Tatum has always believed himself to be straight but is not alarmed when he wants to kiss Remy Will he let him???
I couldn’t put this book down. They were such likeable characters. Who open their hearts and need to believe in one another. And my heart just swelled when they went on their first date. The passion they share is so beautiful they are so stunning and so right for one another. Brilliant read

Only You by Nicole Dykes follows Tatum, who we met in Only Temporary, and his old friend Remy. It’s a friends to lovers, second chance romance with a bi-awakening. The book is very low angst, and it has all the typical Nicole Dykes sweetness you’d expect.

Tatum is Kellan’s friend. He sees Kellan’s siblings as his own family. He’s had his own struggles with addiction, but he’s doing well. When he runs into Remy, he can’t help but be reminded of the friendship they shared and how Remy pushed him away all those years ago.

Remy was also a foster kid, but Tatum was his rock. Then something happened that left him shaken, and he chose to run. Now, Tatum is back in his left and all he wants to do is keep him there.

I loved how sweet this story was from beginning to end. The friendship/family dynamic of Tatum and Kellan, the reconnection between Tatum and Remy, the way the adults respond to and help the kids…it’s all beautifully wholesome. I’ve read several darker books lately, so this was a nice reprieve. Tatum is so likable, and I appreciated that he took all his new feelings in stride. It made sense to him because it was Remy, and that’s all he needed. Their chemistry and the way they knew each other so well really made me root for them. The book itself isn’t super long, but it was well written and flowed seamlessly. Another great story by Nicole. I hope we also get a story for Cason!

I’ve been patiently waiting for Tatum and Remy’s story since they were first introduced in Only Temporary. This was totally worth the wait!

Tatum and Remy have a history. They both grew up in the foster care system, where they were close friends until something happens to Remy. Tatum wants to fix whatever happened and pushes too hard to find out, but Remy wasn’t ready. So he ran.

I am so glad these two found their way back to one another. The connection between them was almost instant. I loved that Tatum didn’t even question what he was feeling for Remy. He knew how important Remy was to him, and he just followed his heart.

While they both had a rough upbringing, Remy’s was a bit harder. His walls were sky high. But when he finally lets them down and lets Tatum in? It was everything. Seeing him be able to trust again and be open to having a relationship with someone who loved him fully? Absolutely heartwarming. These two were perfect for one another!

I received a copy from the author and am voluntarily sharing my honest opinion.

This is a childhood friends to more romance, featuring Remy and Tatum , and is a standalone book but it is linked to another book called Only Temporary.

Tatum has spent years helping his best friend build a family, but when Remy—his past and biggest regret—comes back into his life, he fears he’ll only hurt him again. Remy has worked hard to bury his painful past, yet being near Tatum makes all his walls crumble, forcing him to face both old wounds and an undeniable pull between them.

This book was really sweet. Tatum and Remy have so much history and so much pain from their pasts. It’s emotional, a bit angsty, and full of those tender moments where you just want to hug both of them. Their second chance to be in eachother’s lives was special and their romance feels raw and real.

Things to expect in this book are:
Standalone book
MM romance
Second chance
Childhood friends
Mechanic x Principal
Hurt / Comfort
Past trauma
Angst
Protective
Bi awakening
Spicy times
Both fall fast
Found family

What a sweet, quick read!

I really enjoyed Tatum & Remy. They’re both so deserving of a happy ending. Can you be proud of fictional characters? Cause i’m proud of these two. Loved the addition of their fostering story - those stories are so important and I think this book does a great job of explaining the nuance of that experience. Appreciated the aspect of found family as well as Tatum’s utterly acceptance of his fluid sexuality. He was ALL IN and i was here for it.

Wish we got more details into Tatum & Remy’s day to day outside of Kellan’s family and the school. And everything happens SO FAST, wish we could slow down and get a bit more yearning from these two. But overall, a solid sugar sweet romantic read with some solid spice.

I loved Tatum so much in Only Temporary and was so excited to read the ARC for his story. Please be careful reading and please check the trigger warnings as there are some serious topics that are discussed in this book.

Tatum and Remy, two former foster kids whose paths crossed numerous times while kids until something happened with Remy that caused him to push Tatum away. Tatum beat himself up for allowing Remy to push him away for 12 years until fate brought them back into each other’s lives.

I understood Remy’s boundaries and I LOVED how patient Tatum was with him but after Remy confided in Tatum about what happened in the past, I felt the boundaries he had got lifted quicker than I thought they would. I thought there would be more of a physical trust built before hand. They already had trust but never had an intimate trusting relationship before and I just wished we saw more of that truly build.

Unlike with Only Temporary I felt the last chapter lead perfectly into the epilogue. I sensed what the next steps were going to be for them and their lives in the epilogue’s time jump and loved it. The whole time after they talked about if they wanted kids I had hoped they would choose to foster/adopt. 💖💖

I enjoyed this whole read and I love that Tatum and Remy found each other again and got the love and family they always deserved. Now I’m going to keep my fingers crossed for a Cason book while he is college. 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼

Somehow in such a small page count Nicole Dykes always manages to pack so much! This was a great read! I enjoyed Remy and Tatum reuniting and getting to know each other again. Learning about the history together and seeing how far they have come was interesting. Although their stories were heartbreaking, Remy letting his walls down and allowing Tatum in was amazing to see. They clearly had a bond that was built to stand time. The way Remy was able to Raegan by making a deal to both take the first step in healing was wonderful! The found family aspect was sweet and Kellan and Tatum’s friendship is adorable. I had a great time with this as I do with all books by Nicole Dykes! I’m excited to see what next!!
