Ruth Newell is an independent author of several collections of poetry, flash fiction and essays. Professionally, she produced hundreds of travel and news articles and has spent decades promoting zero waste technology and sustainability, composing a variety of technical documents, fundraising and marketing material, as well as website content for Native American tribes, government entities, and corporations. Prior to that, she was the schoolmarm in a one-room schoolhouse where she taught creative writing.
