A short paranormal story about storage locker ghosts.
Following a near death experience Grace Abrahams can now see ghosts. She helps ghosts that she meets at storage locker auctions. In this story Grace meets an angry ghost who forces her to bid for a locker full of old clothes. Grace doesn’t like him, and she doesn’t trust him, but she agrees to help him. She soon finds out the terrible circumstances that made the ghost so angry, an event that involved his daughter, Daisy. Once Grace knows the full details she sets out to help Daisy, will she find her in time?
I'm an avid fan of mystery stories. I started reading Agatha Christie novels at an early age. My favourite fiction detective is Poirot, I love his fussy ways and his attention to small details. I love the TV series, 'Murder She Wrote' and have watched every episode. I like working out who the killer is, and what the clues are.
I live near Leeds, Yorkshire, which is in the north of England. My two daughters live with me and they are understanding about my passion for mystery shows! I've now discovered 'Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries'.
I've been wanting to write my own mystery stories for years - and now I finally have.
Another one adventure of the Storage Ghost Mystery. I really liked it even if it was a little bit sad, a story which is a nightmare for all the parents. It's hard to lose your child for your own mistakes and don't have enough time to repair it. But there's something great - we "saw" Pearl, for the first time!
This was a short and sweet cozy mystery that I finished in one sitting. Grace is her usual sweet and caring self, and the ghost in this story is wonderfully grumpy. As I learned more about his past, I understood why he was that way, but he still managed to make me smile. The ghost’s story isn’t exactly happy (and not just because he’s dead), but the way it’s told is actually quite touching.
Even though the story has its sad moments, it ends on such a sweet and happy note, which I absolutely adored. I also appreciated that Frankie didn’t have a big role this time-honestly, even the few times he was mentioned, he managed to get on my nerves.
Kindle Unlimited. Every now and then something doesn't make sense, but might be reading out of order or could be the difference from story to story, some detail or other.

I don't do book reviews like you keep seeing, as I find that some give too much of the plot away and I personally hate that, as it makes the book not worth reading. I much prefer to take the authors back cover write up as a review as it can either intrigue you enough to read the book of provide you enough information to make you decide that the book is not for you. My review rules are: The more stars, the more I liked it. If there are too many typos or errors the less stars I give If the storyline or plot is poor or contains too many errors, the characters are too weak, the ending lacking something, then the less stars I give. Simple, uncomplicated and to the point without giving anything away. Some of the books I read have been given to me by the author as a pre-release copy and this does not bias my reviews in any way
Frankie and Grace have experienced some good luck with the first couple of lockers they’ve bid on and won at auction. They’ve lucked into some definite hidden treasures. However, in this, the 5th story in The Storage Ghost Mysteries, Grace may have faltered.
One of the lockers at the day’s auction appears to be the abandoned result a charity scam: unscrupulous persons have collected household donations in the name of a bogus charity, sifted through the contents for valuables, and left the rest in a temporarily-leased storage unit. Along with the leftover charity detritus is the very angry ghost of a man named Dan Manville. Against her will, Grace’s arm is forced up to make a winning bid on the whole distasteful scene – the ghost has somehow compelled her. The unpleasant ghost need her help and will not be denied.
In life, Dan Manville had been a loving husband and doting father to a single daughter (Daisy). During Daisy’s first term at university, she becomes pregnant. She is devastated and unable to tell her parents that she was drugged at a club and raped. Old-fashioned and unforgiving, Dan cuts his daughter out of his and his wife’s lives. His only keepsake of his daughter is the heart and chain necklace he gave Daisy on her 16th birthday. He dies a bitter, angry man. He doesn’t know it but he needs Grace to help him discover the truth of what happened to his daughter and resolve his anger.
This story relies on some realistic circumstances with some very possible consequences for its plot. It is a short novel but one that gives you a full story (and continues to broaden the whole Storage Ghost history). It is great for a single evening’s reading or any time you like.
Since I don't normally write reviews unless I have something specific to say, here's the break down of how I rate my books...
1 star... This book was bad, so bad I may have given up and skipped to the end. I will avoid this author like the plague in the future.
2 stars... This book was not very good, and I won't be reading any more from the author.
3 stars... This book was ok, but I won't go out of my way to read more, But if I find another book by the author for under a dollar I'd pick it up.
4 stars... I really enjoyed this book and will definitely be on the look out to pick up more from the series/author.
5 stars... I loved this book! It has earned a permanent home in my collection and I'll be picking up the rest of the series and other books from the author ASAP.
The Storage Ghost Mystery series are short stories but the author gives us a full well written read. In this book, Grace comes across an angry ghost that she doesn't want much to do with. But as he tells his story, she has a change of heart. We learn the story of Daisy and the chain, which will touch your heart.
Another enjoyable story about the storage ghosts by Gillian Larkin.
