It's all going to burn and you're going to burn with it.
The world is on fire. What is left is ash and ruin. What has survived is left in hiding.
And just like in the stories of old, there is one person who has the power to change everything.
But Rayne has one thing on her mind and one thing only—sleep. She hasn't had any since her father found his way into her dreams.
Every night it's the same thing. She's standing at the edge of humanity and her father is next to her—holding his hands out over the ash and rubble. His words haunt her the way her mother's whispers once did. "Our kingdom come—" he says it like it was the plan all along, and she has played right into his hands.
But Rayne isn't going down without a fight.
With the last two people she can trust standing next to her, and competing for her heart, Rayne must face the most evil man in history—her daddy!

My God, Tara Brown is really the queen of plot twists!!! We can never see anything coming in her books, specially the fantasy/paranormal ones! She ALWAYS keeps us on our toes!!
Another favorite Tara Brown trademark that I love, and we get in this book, is her ability of inserting a whole new story inside the story we are reading! I love when I get that in a book, well when I get it right. ;)
While I generally enjoyed the book, I had 2 major issues with it.
1. Leaving aside the fact that I figured out who the antichrist was in the first 20 pages, the way the great love between Rayne and Wyatt (of which the author goes on and on for 2 2/3 of the books) is "resolved" was annoying and frankly a little insulting to the reader - after Rayne finds out that not only is he the bad guy but also her spiritual brother, she tells herself that she still loves him and goes through many painful trials and sacrifices to save him ( including killing her 4 most beloved sisters). After she returns successfully from her quest, she meets Wyatt again and what is the first thing she does? Kicks him in the groin of course! This is followed, naturally, by an internal monologue, where she deems that she hates him and doesn't think she ever loved him...yeah, that's totally believable! Even with the change of the whole past, her change of heart is inexplicable...she continues to have the same love/hate feelings for the other characters, even if some of them were not included in her 2nd past. I know Tara loves her twists, but for me this was a lazy solution.
2. Rayne's new life - after so many struggles, which builds the character into a strong and selfless woman who sacrifices her heart and her life for the rebirth of the world, Rayne is rewarded with an enchanted new life full of happiness and love, la la la. But this new Rayne is unrecognisable. She's a totally different person - selfish in her interactions with her best friend, preoccupied with the quality of furniture and the sizes of rooms. And for most of the time she cries for stupid reasons. Don't get me wrong, the story of a 19 year old girl in the 1800s is realistic in the context of the period, BUT it is perplexing in the context of the books - in all her past lives Rayne grows, we see an evolution of the soul, from the first girl born in the garden, to Maggie, who learns at a young age to fend for herself, to Ellie who is stronger than the others before her and closer to achieving her purpose as a sin eater. The simpering Rayne from the last chapter is a disappointing regress.
PS. oh, and what annoyed me through the whole series is the gag thing. Let the woman have a fresh breath for at least 5 pages, for God's sake!

"Don't let them trick you. And stay sharp. And be skeptical. You don't know where the truth is lurking in all of this but someone is against you. And it’s not just your dad. I know that much. You’re about to be betrayed in the worst way. "
I had an idea of how I wanted the story to end, what I wanted for the characters and how I imagined the storyline would go... I should have know better than to form any ideas of what I thought would be an epic ending 'should' be to this intense tale of Rayne and her quest to fulfill her destiny and put an end to Lucifer's reign once a for all. Because we all know that Tara has her own ideas of where her characters will go, and we have to trust her to give them the ending that suits them and not me. lol.
The story did not go the way I had once thought I wanted it to go. It had several different twists and turns and had my heart on the line the entire time, even cursing Tara at 4am when the story took a turn that I hadn't seen coming. BUT, Tara knows exactly where to let her characters go and we got an ending that I couldn't be happier about! It wasn't what I had expected, it was much better! It's the ending that is perfect for the characters and it had me going to bed happy with how it all ended.
Rayne has a hard journey still ahead of her and has to find the answers that seem to be just out of her reach, and she finds herself questioning those around her that she thought she could trust. And the thing she fears most is that she herself must sacrifice everything she loves dearly.
Tara throws in some twists and turns that you never see coming, all the while never disrupting the flow of the story. You have to ride out the pain and heartbreak to come out whole again on the other side, just like Rayne. But I promise you, the ride is worth it.
I don't even know where to start. This book destroyed me, then healed me, then destroyed me, then healed me....I will start by saying that one of my favorite things about this series is that all 3 books flow from one right into the other like 1 consistent book, no huge gaps of time between one book to the next. I re-read the first 2 books then right into this one, and now I'm suffering a massive bookhangover! Rayne has had a shitstorm of a life lately, and things do not even slow down for 2 seconds going into her final battles. It's like her pain and loss and betrayal will never end! You will never see any of this coming! I laughed, like a LOT! I cried, a lot, happy and sad tears, I got mad an cursed Tara Brown, and then said I was sorry because it is all ok in the end. I can't give anything away, but push through the pain, the ending is all worth it! So totally worth it all!
I jus finished The End of Days Book 3 in The Light Trilogy and omg phew what an effing ride it is!!! This series is freaking fantastic!! Duh it's Tara Brown of course it is. I finished all 3 books in 2 days I m that obsessed with this trilogy. And omg what a plot twist. I knew something was not right. I have a feeling that it's not what it looks like and OH MY GOD 😱😱It hurts so bad. I think i knew what's going to happen.. But i should have known better it's Tara lol and she is master of plot twists and holy moly what a awesomeness that is. I know how i wanted this story to end but it had several different twists and turns and it kept me on edge throughout this entire Trilogy. But i m so pumped the way this ends! I needed that end lol i loved it sooo much ❤️another winner by Tara Brown. She is freaking queen of plot twists. Believe me you need this freaking roller-coaster of heartbreak and pain in your life but i promise it's worth it!!!!

This series must be read in order. The first book is "The Light Of The World". The second book is "The Four Horsemen". This is the third and final book.
With all the witches on Wayne's side she has to be able to hear the antichrist. The witches have never all worked together. Not for any reason. The devils are all dead as well as the four horsemen. She only has one task left. Is she strong enough? Does she have enough allies? Will she be able to kill the antitrust before her son eating kills Wyatt? Will she survive winning? Or will she be forced to make the ultimate sacrifice?
I love Rayne. The more I read the more I loved. I didn't expect everything to turn out the way it did, I was sure the story was going one way and I way really happy with that and then suddenly the story was going in a different direction and well I wasn't angry at that either. I guess, like Rayne I wasn't willing to admit what I really wanted in the end. But boy was I glad with the way things turned out, no matter how unexpected.
The End Of Days is the final book in The Light Trilogy. The way this series ends is not really what is expecting. It wasn’t a bad ending it was just different from how I thought it would end. I rated all three books 4 Stars. The Light Trilogy is not my favorite Tara Brown books but they are worth reading and enjoying.
Following the lives of each character and how they evolve in different circumstances make this series interesting and wanting to see what happens next.
The love of the whole world, who would have guessed! You are in for a real treat with this final epic romance. The battle is long and winding, but in the end it's worth it!!!

I really enjoyed this trilogy although at times I wondered if Tara Brown was trying to punish me. Never before have I been taken on such a see-saw read. Bad is good, good is bad; never-ending loyalty changes. It became impossible to trust any of the characters fully. Yet I remained loyal to the cast. I loved them and had my heart broken multiple times along with the main female lead Rayne. Friends, lovers, family, enemies all intertwined in a mission to save / destroy the world. I think it showcased real writing talent to change the characters' traits and motives multiple times and still keep my affection. Tara created a broken, depressing world featuring a main character with an overwhelming burden full of majorly depressing tasks. Yet she remained likable, hopeful, and showed amazing strength. Fully recommend this series.
How amazing was this book!? I mean wow! I was not expecting that in the slightest, it was a complete twist and I never could of imagined how this last book could have gone. Tara brown is one of my favorite authors because her writing is so unique. I am speechless but I honestly loved this book, and the ending well it was amazing totally unexpected but I couldn't have loved it more!
Tara Brown is an excellent author and this book was well done! It picks up right where the second ends and it never stops! I loved every word and couldn't put it down. The story has many twists and turns but you will enjoy all of it. Prepare to have your mind blown!
This author is my favorite. No matter what she writes about, it draws me in, like I'm there in the story.
The end of the world is upon us. It's up to one girl to save the world. But can she save the ones she loves and herself? Or will darkness reign forever?
I am Happy to have closure in this series, but why do I feel like crying?. Rayne finally chose, but the choice was made long ago. Suffering only makes the good that much sweeter. So much tragedy and death but everyone gets a reset and all is good with the world. Thank you for ending it this way.
So the ending isn't what I wanted but this book was killer anyway. So much craziness, so many twists and turns, I didn't know which way was up! I thought it was going one way and then it would go another, just when you thought you had it figured out, BAM! It switched up the beat again. I'm not ready to let go of these characters, not ready for this ending. *sigh* bring them back to us, Tara!
I feel as if I waited forever for this installment, and that's ok. Anticipation makes the real event even more so. Tara Brown did not disappoint. If you have read the first two in the trilogy, Rayne performs her duty more beautifully than you could ever imagine. Be prepared to be shocked.
I loved this book. Tara never disappoints. Lots of twists and turns. I hated to see this trilogy end but the ending was so good and unexpected. Yeah on to the next Brown/Watson masterpiece.
Ahhhhhh! Is that an acceptable review? This book is EVERYTHING. My feels were kicked in the sack repeatedly before Tara gave me the ending I had no idea I wanted. I could crawl up inside this conclusion and live! Bravo lady!
Finally!! I finally finished this amazing series and it was a wonderfully exciting and heartbreaking story! Again this story was packed with all the emotions you should expect in a story. Love, friendship, loss and pain. I absolutely loved how this story ended!
Wow! I loved this book. The story takes twists and turns that make it exciting, and none of them disappointed me. The ending is exactly as it should be, giving closure to a great story.
