Ethan "Blues" Sloane tells all about his time on the inside of the Southeast’s most notorious drug cartel. The chaos that comes with being the second in command of the deadly X'kapz is nothing compared to the anarchy that ensues when Blues meets Angel. ***WARNING***This book is not intended for anyone under the age of 18, offended easily by steamy sex scenes and/or foul language. A sex-god's story will most definitely melt your panties off, so have an extra pair on standby...maybe two pair. Baptized into the world of the southeast’s leading drug cartel, Ethan Sloane lives an existence riddled with betrayal. Raised the eldest son of the Lieutenant in the infamous X’kapz cartel, Ethan’s grim reality is accepting his fate of walking in his father’s footsteps. Buried beneath deep layers of trained acceptance and lies, lurks a decent man needing escape. Ethan breaks through the hard surface of deceit, extracting his coveted freedom. Resurfacing exactly the opposite of what he fears the fates planned, Ethan becomes a well respected Atlanta Police Officer, finally on the right side of the law. Even living the good life, he is driven with a relentless desire to inflict punishment for the wrong committed against his family. Deciding that retribution is worth throwing away the good, he goes undercover to infiltrate the deadly X’kapz. Almost immediately, Ethan “Blues” Sloane is promoted to second in command, the same role once held by his father. Unexpectedly, Blues discovers that drugs aren’t the only thing in this world that is addictive. Angel is the erotically beautiful woman with the good girl history mixed with a bad girl attitude. She is a major distraction for a man whose one constant is obtaining the truth. Evading Angel’s allure so that he can finish what he started and get everyone that he cares about out alive becomes a difficult mission. In his shadowy hell, she is the lone beacon guiding him toward something better. Lies can drown a person, consume and erase one’s soul. Nevertheless, if used properly they also hold the power to save. Keeping his undercover role a secret is paramount to everyone’s survival. Unfortunately for Blues, withholding the truth from Angel equals giving up all hope of a life that promises true love. Blues discovers that giving up something that you desperately crave is easier said than done. This isn’t a pretty story, nothing about drugs ever is, but the romance that surfaces within the dark life of a cop submerged under the criminal’s lies is Ethan’s, and can only be called All Blues.
New Adult Author of the All Series, book one Be All released July 2013. Other tiles in the series are, All is Lost, All This Time, Worth it All, Risking All, All We Are and My All. My short story, No Details, can be found in the Novel Grounds All Our Love anthology. It will become a full-length novel in 2015. I am the mom of two beautiful & intelligent daughters; Kaitie and Kayla, who both married Kyle's. I married my best friend, the most loving man that I’ve ever met, Barry. He supports me and encourages everyone of my wild dreams no matter how neurotic. I have two g'son, WD & RJ, who sweetly call me Lola (because that's what I want them to call me). I am a proud Italian-American, living in Alabama. Barry & I have a real passion for travelling via car, and we have visited over half the country in our eleven years together. I adore reading and Japanese food. When I actually do turn on the television, I must play catch-up with my overloaded DVR. My top faves are Game of Thrones, Persons of Interest, Sons of Anarchy, True Blood, Walking Dead, and recently I've added StarCross & the 100 to the lineup. I love Facebook, but hate to overload the news feed with posts about me, so you’ll see more shares than original posts, unless they are about my books. I have a blog, but I suck at updating it. I hope to find time to connect and use it as an outlet for my insane ramblings, but don't count on it. If you love my books, please follow my fan page Marie Wathen Author. I will do my best to keep you updated on where my books are as well as sharing teasers. Thanks for all the love!
I went into this story completely blind because I haven’t read any of the previous books in the series. Even though, it was a bit of a challenge, Marie Wathen managed to make the story easy to follow without having to read book 1.
Ethan ‘Blues’ Sloane is the eldest son of the Lieutenant in an infamous drug cartel. He escapes the dark world, becoming a respected Atlanta Police Officer. When he decides to infiltrate the X’kapz drug cartel & accept his fate of walking in his father’s footsteps, it is short lived.
After losing his parents in a plane crash, Ethan’s sole purpose is to seek revenge. He must become the man he hates the most, in order to bring his family to justice. But among the darkness, there’s a light at the end of the tunnel.
Ethan’s plans soon change the moment he meets the beautiful & exotic, Angel.
Ethan & Angel’s journey was an emotional roller coaster ride. It was gripping, passionate, & heart wrenching. Ethan fell madly in love with this woman knowing that she couldn't be his because of the secrets & lies that would keep them apart.
There are so many twists in turns to this story, when you think everything is okay, Marie hits you with a mind f*ck & you can’t do anything but gasp & think “Oh my God did that just happen!”
Ugh I can’t....moving on ---->>
Overall, this story was great. You will be on the edge of your seat, not knowing what’s going to happen. Marie has this refreshing writing style & now that I've gotten a taste, I cannot wait to dive into Attacus’s book (2016).

Favorite Quote: "Something that my Gran always says is that love is a powerful thing that can change even the worst of us. You are the most beautifully transformed creature on this planet. I know your heart. To the world, you are the former Ethan “Blues” Sloane, soon-to-be Commander Rhys Bentley, but to me, you are the man that brought my world to life the first time that you looked at me across a crowded nightclub, you enflamed my desires with the hottest fuck I have ever had, and then you treated me like a priceless treasure when you protected me without knowing all of my deep dark secrets either. My love, no matter what you believe about yourself, or who you think you should be, to me, you are and forever will be, my Blues.” “And, you will always be my Angel."
I absolutely loved this book, everything about it was awesome! The author writes this book in a way that you can follow the story whether you follow the series or just started with ' All Blues '. To me, that right there is T-A-L-E-N-T !
From the angst to the sexual tension, which I rather call sexual deprivation because well, it could've happened if they gave in and let it ;)
Angel and Ethan's relationship was so...ugh! Reading this book, getting to experience first hand how much this man truly loved this girl, was like an outer body experience. It made me wish I could jump into the pages of their love story and hold him.
They both had secrets that they kept hidden from the other. Those secrets was their major reason for not really being together but still..UGH! I wanted them together, completely open, and secrets exposed.
Then we have the mysterious 'Sam'.
Even though, I haven't read Sam's story I could tell she couldn't commit to anyone, she always put her cases first and that's why she stayed with Decks.
As you can tell, I'm all over the place with this review! I am suffering from a massive book hangover and like always <<--- THE HANGOVER WAS WELL DESERVED !
I don't want to spoil anything so that's all I can tell you, plus I want Ethan ALL to myself lol SO go one click NOW!!! Then come back and we can chat about all the juicy details ;)
All Blues is a fantastic, gripping, sexy, roller coaster of a ride. Ethan "Blues" Sloane is a manly hunk of a man that's not going to let anything or anyone get in his way of taking down the people that wronged him. But, he doesn't plan on meeting Angel, an enticingly volatile and dangerous woman that Blues can't stop thinking about.
Marie's writing just gets better and better. Her sex scenes are intense and are very vivid and imaginative. However, this story isn't just sex; there is a lot of mystery, intrigue, drama, etc going on at the same time. Blues is a very demanding character in everything he does and he is definitely the kind of man that women want in real life. He is caring, giving, loving, but troubled as well. Angel is mysterious, sensual, head strong, and can't keep popping up when Blues least expects it.
This is an amazing story to go along with the All series. It is a hefty read, but it doesn't feel like it when you are reading it. You are clinging to the pages trying not to rush ahead to see what happens because then you would miss the lyrical writing style that is all Marie's. I don't like romance novels, but I'll read any that Marie writes.
** I received an ARC from the author for an honest review.***
5 stars for All Blues!!!!
I loved this story, it had just the right amount of suspense, angst, and sexual tension for my taste!
Ethan "Blues" Sloan, son of a former lieutenant of X'kapz cartel, is working as an undercover cop. Wanting to avenge the murder of his parents, he dives into the life he worked so hard to leave and he works his way to becoming second in command of X'kapz. What he doesn't count on, is meeting and falling hard for Angel.
Angel is a beautiful, tuff, will kick your a$$ if you mess with her, type of chick.
"A dog is cute. A baby is cute. Hell, even a monkey throwing shit against the wall could be considered cute." "But , that is not a compliment for a woman"
The attraction between them is undeniable. The sex scenes are extremely SMOKIN', especially with the deliciously-sexy Blues and the drop dead, gorgeous Angel!!!!
Be prepared for a wild ride WITH lies, deceit, drugs, violence, possibly love, and whole lot of ACTION....
I love books with action, a great story concept, and of course love, as well as the hot sex. This book will not disappoint, loved every bit of it!!!
I am a HUGE Fan of this series, and was thrilled to see we were going to see Blues' side of his and Sam's story. All Blue's is NOT a retelling of All This Time (Sam's story), even though it is occurring during the same time, it is SO much more!
If you've read this series, you know Sam's side of her and Blues' story, but seeing how everything played out and what was going on with Ethan/Rhys/Blues is amazing. My heart hurt for the tragedy that he suffered that put him into the mess he was living in, and for his want to make things right. Seeing "Angel" for the first time changes everything in his plan, and he wants nothing more than her, but doesn't feel as if he deserves such an amazing woman. Knowing how everything played out before, I find it funny that they both thought they were with someone who was part of the world they were trying to destroy.
Blues' is such an amazing character to read, and I loved getting inside of his head. He was real, and even though he was a little wrong with his ideas and what he thought he needed, I couldn't help but fall in love with him all over again.
The writing of Marie Wathen is simply amazing, and from her first book, to this one I fall deeper and deeper in love with the characters of the All Series. You really cannot put these books down and are always wanting more to find out how everything in this series and with these characters are going to play out.
The chemistry between Angel and Blues is off the charts, and you can definitely feel the steam of their want for one another pouring from the pages of the book. You want so bad for these two to have their happily ever after, and forget all the mess they are in, but you heart will race with trying to figure out if they can truly have it.
Even though All Blues is book 3.5 in the series, it is a full length novel, and can be read before the other books in the series, since it starts before the events of Be All (which is Breeson's story).
If you're looking for a hot romantic suspense that will have you on the edge of the seat, you need to pick up All Blues, and all the books in this series! They are hot, and will have you falling in love with each and everyone of these characters as they deal with bringing down, or being a part of the deadly drug cartels.
This is a ride full of twists and turns that will have you on the edge of your seat about to fall off...or maybe just fall in love with Blues. We barely find books written in a male's POV, let alone find one who can make you feel like you are inside of his head but this book takes the cake. His POV is written in a very carnal way that will leave you feeling more than sensuous, dirty...lewd even ;)
The story line and concept of this book is well developed, so developed that even though this book is a part of a series, it can be read as a stand alone. Of course, there were some things I wanted to know more about but I am sure if I had read the other books, prior to this one, then all my dots would have been connected. I absolutely loved this story and can't wait to see what's next!!!
Marie writes ' Angel ' in such a way that it's easy for you to dislike her. At the same time, Marie will have you wishing you were her, especially in those times of sexual tension between her and Blues. Your emotions towards her will be up one moment and then down the next. Her character was portrayed exactly the way she needed to be portrayed, in order for actions to be understood at the end of this story.
I was very skeptical going into this book, especially when I read the warning label. That label alone kept me away until the very last minute and even then I didn't start this book until after being told that I could handle it. With that being said, I am so glad I did not let this book scare me away. If I could leave you with a warning, it would be: Dive straight into this book, don't let anything keep you away from it. ;)
Hidden secrets will be revealed, loyalties will be tested and at the end, and well let's just hope everyone can come out alive and that love can be redeemed...
Blues, Blues, Blues where to start with you... This is my favorite out of all this series so far. I love the male perspective on this and how he has to change his life to save many others. Blues is an undercover cop that is risking his life to take down the cartel. He joins a group called X'kapz, where he is moving up the ranks quickly. He has a few other men in there watching his back and every move. One night at the bar in comes a new guy and his girlfriend named Angel. She captures his site as soon as she walked in the door. Blues body reacts before his mind could. All he knows is that he wants her but knows he's no good for her. Angel is an independent woman that doesn't need a man for anything. A tragic accident happens and has Blues up in a whirlwind. Angel has let her guard down some and has fallen for Blues. He has taken her in and treated her like a queen. All is good between them until one night she runs back home and tells him to leave her alone. Blues isn't happy and does a few stupid things. Once is brother finds him in a bar they get a emergency call and all hell breaks loose. Blues and Angel see each other and all secrets were let loose on both sides. Can they work this out or has too many lies been shed to have trust? This book has me going from happy, sad, and screaming at the characters but it's amazing!!!
FUCK YES!!!!! Marie Knocked this Mother Fucker out of the Park!!!!!!!!! (SOrry it has taken me sooooooo fucking long to write my review....)
I am a biased bitch when it comes to Marie Wathen.....SHE IS THE S..H..I..T!!!
Blues is my all time Fave book boy and this book...OMG THIS FUCKING BOOK is just about him.
I have read this over and over and over .......................... and i still swoon. This book makes him more present when you read the rest of the series..
But be warned Ladies....and I am sure Marie will agree when I say.....
I loved reading this character's point of view. I love a good story that includes a beautiful love story. This book as well as this series provides both. Must read
So this is by far the best read so far in the series. You definetly need to have read all the other books prior to this one. This book is essentially the flip side of Angel/Sam's book, but if you read this version first you won't enjoy Sam's version because of too many spoilers.
If you haven't read Sam's book yet stop reading this review. This is not an exact retelling of Sam's book because a lot of the scenes in here happen when Sam is not around. This book pretty much starts the day he meets Sam at the Jazz club Holiday's. Later on it is told why Blues felt the need to go undercover but it doesn't really delve into his mafia life before that day. However in Angel's book you don't really get a sense that Blues & Jude/Wise are close or really even friends. When Blues talks to Angel about Wise it just sounds like he is one of Deck's guys that he knows from around. But we see the reality here that they are actually best friends and he is amazing with Natalie & Jude's kids. They are also partners. In Angel's book Blues also seems all tough & sexy & dirty talking, which he is all those things, but now we also see he is super sweet and romantic. We get to hear what was going in his head all the times they were together & feel his pain all the times she went back to Decks and left him. We get to meet Blue's family and see why they are estranged. We have already met Tac/Atticus, but now we see why there is tension between them when Tac comes to Willow Island to help the team search for Anna & Waverly and get Intel on Dr A. We also get more of a look into Max and see how he has a lot more involved in things than we previously thought. I am definitely looking forward to the next book. I highly recommend this series.
Another great book by Marie Wathen. I have to think that All Blues is my favorite novel by Ms. Wathen thus far.
Sexy, steamy and stimulating Ethan "Blues" Sloan tells his story. I love reading this story from his POV. Rarely do you find a book that is told by the male lead in such sensual detail and this story was incredible. So, with all the heat stirred up by this story, you MUST be 18 to read this one.
Blues is working on bringing down people who have done him wrong in the past and that is his main concern. That is, until he meets Angel. For some reason, he can't get her out of his mind. Hidden secrets get released and that makes things a little difficult for the two of them.
A perfect addition to the All Series. If you haven't read this series, what are you waiting for? You are really missing out on an incredible storyline written by an equally incredible author.
I had the honor of reading the ARC copy of this book. This book is not a normal read for me, it was very well written and I enjoyed the storyline but I kept putting the book down. I still finished it two days but I was constantly picking it up and putting it down. I wasn't crazy about the name of the cartel but the hot steamy sex scenes kept me coming back. Angel/Sam made he hate her in this book until we found out she was under cover. Blues devotion to her never faltered and I loved him for that. I can't wait to read Sam's PIC.
ANOTHER WOW!!!! Blue's story was amazing and heart breaking too. I absolutely fell further in love with Ethan "Blues" Sloan (fanning self)and Sam Walker. Sam and Blues have a chemistry together that rivals all. My favorite characters in this whole book were Sam Walker, Ethan "Blues" Sloan, Urban Sloan, Oakley Sloan, Indie Sloan, Attacus "Tac" Sloan, Jude "Wise" and Natalie Kingsley and both their kids. I honestly did not want to put this book down, it kept me hooked and never let me go.
Although I liked the book, things were left hanging in the series. For instance, what happened to the relationship between Morgan and Waverly? In Sam's book we were left with Blues getting hit by a car, but this just disappears in the All Blues book. Although the love scenes were dynamic, I feel there were just too many and not enough left to interaction between characters.
