Okay, it's ended

Meh... I was disappointed, simple as that. Overall the series was good work. A bit lengthy at times, especially when it came to the main character's self doubts (and boy was it a recurring thing throughout all those 7 volumes... ). But things were definitely moving forward in an interesting way. Some ideas were quite original. Well this last volume was anything but. I get what the intention was, how there was an intentional effort for tension building up to the point of resolution. It did not work in my opinion. Everything felt predictable and dull. Sure there was a need to go back to square one, to reevaluate and look back. But what's the point in that if the story keeps brushing every potential answers off? Any time the main character would get closer, the answer would just disappear and we were back to doubts and internal torments. It gets old very very fast. There's nothing more annoying than a predictable pattern in a story, especially if that pattern is repeated more than 3 times. I got to the eye-rolling phase very fast, and of course was not surprised by the ending. It was all too easy, with a very clear lack of tangible answers. The end is the end because it ends. Well, duh!

It all has to start

Ebony knows that something is coming thru the portal. She's been working hard to stop it, but the time has come. It's coming thru. As she races around Vale trying to find out what the creature might be, she comes face to face with all the big magical things she has put away. Will it we enough to help her stop the creature. Will going to the start of everything help unravel who the creature is. Or will it consume Ebony and all of Vale?

Wonderful read!

Book seven is the conclusion of this series, it is as intriguing as the rest of the series. You won't be able to put it down. Ebony faces her battle with grace and dignity. A wonderful ending to the series. I highly recommend it.

Life is “The Treasure!”

At least Ebony had the forethought to wear shoes this time! LOL I really enjoyed this series. The characters were just quirky enough to ring them to life. Thank you for the enjoyment!

Witch's Bell Book Series

I loved each of the books in the series. Each book told a very different story with a new villain to challenge Ebony Bell in every way. The seventh book had a different villain who wanted basically to destroy the entire town or wants Ebony to give herself up to him to be destroyed by him. How does she choose?
Odette Bell has done a marvelous job of telling very different stories each with a different villain yet keeping you on the edge of your seat throughout the entire series. My only criticism was each book ended and I had to start a new book to continue Ebony Bell's life or death tales.

I enjoyed reading this series of books. Though this book was kind of confusing and I had to reread some areas it was good. I would have liked a better ending with her and Nate but it was a good ending.
