She originally went to school to become an equine veterinarian but soon figured out they keep horrible hours and decided to go to grad school instead. After graduation she got a job with the state of Colorado as their one and only hog farm inspector and spent her days wandering the Eastern Plains shooting the shit with farmers. After a few years of that, she got bored. And since she was a homeschool mom and actually does love science, she decided to write science textbooks and make online classes for other homeschool moms. She wrote more than two hundred of those workbooks and was the number one publisher at the online homeschool store many times, but eventually she covered every science topic she could think of and ran out of shit to say.
So in 2012 she decided to write fiction instead. That year she released her first three books and started a career that would make her a New York Times bestseller and land her on the USA Today Bestseller’s List eighteen times in the next three years. Her books have sold millions of copies all over the world, the audio version of her semi-autobiographical book, Eighteen, was nominated for a Voice Arts Award and an Audie award in 2016 and 2017 respectively, her audiobook Mr. Perfect was nominated for a Voice Arts Award in 2017, and her book, Taking Turns, was nominated for an Audie Award in 2018. Johnathan McClain is her first (and only) writing partner and even though they are worlds apart in just about every way imaginable, it works.

In Social Media, Part 1-4 event planner and twitter queen Grace Kinsella aka @FilthyBlueBird met her twitter muse, Hollywood heartthrob Vaughn Asher aka Master while on vacation. In the roller-coaster that followed Vaughn relentlessly pursued for Grace to be his next sub, but requiring a NDA so he could act out all his debauched desires.
He resorted to mind-blowing samples of his kinky sex, used twitter to taunt her and wasn’t below stalking and hacking to get what he wanted. If you thought that Status was intense, you really have no idea! Warning to readers: When starting Profile make sure you have at least a solid hour of uninterrupted reading time. Once you start this, your heart will race and you’ll be on the edge of your seat just to see what happens next! You have to read it in one sitting- there really is no other way!
If you’ve only read Follow in the Social Media series, you have no idea… just no clue how these books have evolved, how different they’ve become and how much growth both characters have shown. JA Huss is one of those authors that writes the unexpected, the unpredictable and the most original stories. This series has taken such turns and ended up in a place that I can honestly say I never saw coming… And isn’t that the most awesome feeling as a reader? Not knowing whats coming next or what way a story is going to go? It is for me!
Grace is in a bad place, but let me tell you something about Grace. She is a FIGHTER. She is a SURVIVOR. Grace doesn’t give up, she is the definition of a kick ass heroine.
Then there’s Vaughn. Vaughn is distraught and trying to keep it together the best he can. I loved Vaughn from the first book- asshole and all, but the way Vaughn is now… I just adore him. He is turned into this flawed yet perfect PRINCE. He truly is a HERO. I think he’s been this way all along, he just needed the right person to bring it out in him. Someone like Grace.
Profile is for sure the most action packed installment yet. There are also a lot of revelations. But not everything. Just when you think you’ve figured it all out, that the secrets are out in the open, you find out just how wrong you are. It seems our Vaughn is hiding a little something himself… I can’t wait for the final book to see what it is and to see how JA ends this brilliant series!

5 #BadAssGrace Stars
I loved Profile so much that I started and finished in one sitting. Grace has been taken by HIM and Vaughn knows in his gut that she didn't leave him again, she was taken by HIM. It's Vaughn's determination to find her that really showed his total commitment to Grace. He knew what had happened to her, he felt it in his soul, and he knew he had to save her.
And then there is Grace. She is the real star in this book. I know she can be frustrating at times due to her not fully trusting but damn if she isn't a fighter and a survivor. She is KICKASS STRONG. She will not be a victim any longer. HIM has no idea that Grace has grown up into a strong and fierce woman.
Once I started to read, I couldn't stop. I had to see it to the end. I can honestly say that each book in this series is better than the last. I am #HookLineandSinker for this Social Media Series. Grace and Vaughn have infiltrated my thoughts and hopes. I want so much for them that I don't know how the author will do it all in Home. I am happy about reading the ending but at the same time I am very sad. The growth of these characters in extraordinary.
Of course, we are left with a cliffy. Oh poor Vaughn, he never gets a break. Can Grace recover from this traumatic episode? Her strength is amazing but can it sustain her and make her a believer in Vaughn? I will be on pins and needles waiting for Nov 5th. Maybe by some miracles of miracles, I win an ARC of Home and get to read it early- a girl can hope and wish!!

First, all I can say is:

Grace’s past finally caches up with her and she finds herself trapped again the only choice being fight for her life and her future.
Vaughn is trying to do everything to get to her (Have I told lately how much I love him? This guy transformation was like a Disney miracle!) but that’s hard when you don’t quite know what you’re dealing with.
This was certainly the most dramatic book so far, because we watched first hand Grace dealing with her demons while Vaughn couldn’t do nothing about him.
When it reached its climax, not only it left more restless over the direction this is taking, as it also left us with (even) more answered questions.
Although I’m loving this story and I’m amazed by the growing these characters have been doing since the first book, all I can say is:
I can honestly say, November never seemed so far away! I need the last book right this second!!!!!

The Social Media series is getting better & better...
Did it just get a little dark in here?
(Spoilers only if you haven't read the first 4 Books in the series)
Vaughn was promptly kicked out of her (recently renovated) Denver Apartment and he slept on a chair in the lobby.
All the security installed by Vaughn Asher couldn't stop what happened next...
Grace was abducted from the roof of her apartment building...
That tense moment was the cliffhanger at the end of Status, and even though I was on the edge of my seat to discover what happened next, I also felt vindicated in my choice to wait until this entire serial was published before reading it. If I had to wait - even for an hour - before picking up the next book, I might have gone crazy.
If you feel the same, rest assured that this book picks up the following morning...

It seems like just weeks ago that I met Grace & Vaughn. That I was invited into the strange relationship between a girl that was addicted to twitter and a movie star that couldn’t remember the last time someone told him no. Now I find myself five books deep into this series and have only one thought....
People...We’re not in Kansas anymore...
JA Huss has allowed us to get a feel for these two characters. She showed us who they were and now we are just beginning to see all the pieces fall together. In Status we learned Grace’ past and we were left with our jaws on the ground. With Profile we see Grace’s past.
JA Huss kept me on the edge of my seat during this entire read. I was lucky enough to have complete privacy as I read this one and could not stop myself from squealing out my reactions as I read along. The ending of Status gave the twist to story and Profile kept me in a knot of tension from start to finish.
Profile held your attention hostage. There were parts when your heart raced, beating nearly out of your chest with apprehension as to what the hell you were going to see typed on that page when you flipped it. And moments where your heart broke for what Grace was experiencing. All of it. Every last word, loved it.
Grace shined. I needed my strong heroine that I know JA can create, and although Grace lacked that in the early parts of this series, this was her moment. I loved the Grace we saw in this installment. I loved the fight she had in her.
And then Vaughn.
Now I loved Vaughn when he was an asshole. I didn’t mind that he shoved a vibrator in her during lunch with his parents. I didn’t mind that he humiliated her. I love that kind of hero. Because of one simple thing. That character that is such an asshole that everyone hates him... well when he makes that transition into something more, well it’s going to be so much fucking better than if he was nice guy to begin with. Nice is boring. Nice doesn’t make your panties wet.
And Vaughn was all swoon and white fucking knight in Profile.
I can’t even stand the wait for HOME to come out. I still feel all tightly wound, even after a few days. JA Huss created something fucking special with this series, she hid this twisted and dark romance in this shiny fucking package and left this reader completely stunned.
I love reading a book and trying to figure out the story for myself. But this is one of those authors were you just simply cannot do that. There is no way in hell you can figure out how this woman’s mind works. She gives you clues to piece only the things she wants together. Everything else is hidden in the shadows and are revealed only when she says so.
If I would have been asked after finishing Follow where I saw this story heading.... I’d be dead fucking wrong. This series has been one unpredictable moment after another and I wouldn’t want it any other way.

Absolutely loved, this series keeps getting better and better!
This review is so difficult to do, because I don't want to spoil it for anyone who hasn't read the series or this installment. So I will just do a little fan-girling.
This installment was completely action packed and I love how everything was thought out and executed successfully. It was the perfect level of angst, drama, and heart. I flew through this one.
In this installment Vaughn and Grace are in different locations throughout most of the book. I love how Huss made it work and even used the alternating POV and alternate locations to keep you guessing. I wish I could go into more detail, but I love not knowing what will happen when I start a series and don't want to spoil it if someone reads this review before reading books 1-4.
I loved the ending and guessing at what is on the horizon for these two. This series is complete addictive and I cannot wait for the conclusion in Home.

What in the ever loving f*ck. It's crazy how much time Grace endured being with that psycho in her past, and to do it again. Crazy!! It was unbelievable. This one had me on the edge of my seat. This whole series is just so much more than I ever expected it to be. I thought it would be your typical BDSM book without much of a story but boy was I wrong. This one had me enthralled. I am really enjoying this story and hopefully the last part will continue to be as good.

Where do I begin? Let's start off with, I thought Status was my favorite but Profile is by far my favorite of the series so far. JA HUSS is a fucking storyteller. She hooked you with the first installment Follow and then have you craving the each installment like a drug. This series was my addiction and I loved every minute of it. What started off as fun and sexy took a whole new direction as the progression of each installment. It's become one sexy mysterious suspenseful, edgy raw romance. With JA Huss, you have to expect the unexpected. And that's what I fucking love about JA Huss. She will shock and surprise you with so many twists and turns.
Profile is different from the other installments. This book was all about Grace. It was raw, gritty, and suspenseful. Basically, Profile is about survival. And Grace Kinsella showed us what it truly means to survive and fight. In this suspenseful installment, JA Huss will put you on hell of a suspenseful ride. So buckle up because this was one crazy ride and I can't wait to see how JA will end this story. I am so ready for HOME!!!

This series is so much more than I was expecting. Here I thought I was getting a dirty little story with a light, fun social media theme. But FUCK! So much darker, heavier and raw .... I'm seriously invested in this story!!! And I'm freaking out about that cliffhanger! Love, love, love!

YK. When I started this series, I absolutely hate, hate, hated Vaughn Asher. Not because of the whole 'fake' Dom, BDSM, thing. Nope. It was because he was a complete and utter asshole.!! Not an AlphaHole-Antihero. Nope. Just a common, or garden, asshole. I hated that he said one thing and did another. I didn't feel he was honest. Oh.!! I know Grace wasn't either. I know she said one thing and wanted another too. However. She was the vulnerable party. Asher had all the control, and he milked it relentlessly.

Extremely clever. Word to the wise, turn off all notifications and phones. Have large vat of wine and read on! Shit this was twisted, fast and in your face. I was panicked. This by far was one of my favorite parts of the serial.

Well...JA did it again...and she did it phenomenally! She topped Status with Profile. I didn't think it was possible but I should really know better by now. This series delivers surprise after surprise. It pulled a wide range of emotions from me but the one that completely blew me was the heartache...I can't believe I friggin' cried. Totally not expecting that one...I may have even called JA a dirty bird for doing it to me. Sly, sneaky...she has been one step ahead of the readers in the whole plot line. Bloody brilliant work!
So, in Profile we are at the point of Grace's abduction. Once they realize she is missing, it is a race to putting pieces of the puzzle together in order to find her. The true extent of Vaughn's love shines through. If you didn't fall hard for him before...hold on to your knickers ladies. There isn't anything he wouldn't do to get her back, any resource would not go unused. His fame, money or possessions mean nothing without Grace by his side to share them.
As the fog clears Grace's consciousness and she realizes her worst nightmare has finally come to claim her again, she knows she has to fight in order to make it out alive. It's him or her. To dance with the devil, you have to play his game. But it is a fine rope between survival and falling into the darkness waiting for her.
Phew...be ready for this one...it is a mind bender f**ker-uper! That's the only way to explain it. Completely addictive. I didn't put this one down until I was through. 5++++ STARS

4.5 holy-shit stars
Honestly when I started this series I wasn't amused. I was like it was okay, but it seemed mediocre to me. I gave them 3 stars, which meant that I wasn't thrilled with a couple of stuff. I couldn't understand Grace , neither Vaughn.
A few books later and I'm wondering if this one was the same story I started 4 books back. I mean for real.. The change of events is extraordinary! The things that are happening in this sequel blow your mind. Literally. It was like reading thriller instead of erotica.
I loved it nonetheless. The suspense, the agony, the twist of turns. It was a crazy ride for sure. I also loved the character development. God, Vaughn has stolen my heart. Damn him for being so realistically perfect.

Errr. I'm kinda speechless. I'm not sure what I can share that is not a spoiler. This entire 5th book is one action packed spoiler.
You remember how JA Huss took you up a mountain during Status? And then as you bounced around all excited that you and JA were hanging out like best friendsies on a hike together, she shoved your ass over the side of a cliff? Profile is one big tumble down the side of that mountain.
It's hard to tell if everything is going to work out okay while you're in freefall, but JA does meet you at the bottom with a granola bar and a bottle of water to sustain you until Home.
The 6th & final book, HOME releases 11/5/14.

This series is EVERYTHING AND NOTHING that I expected!

JESUS H. CHRIST! This whole series took a turn, a dark gritty turn for the better!! Let's chat for a minute. I read whatever Huss puts out, I mean everything, there's only one book I haven't read and that's only because I haven't had the chance or time. But it's on my kindle waiting. So, when I started this series, I thought it was going to be a fun, steamy, nothing too serious change of pace. I thought I was just going to read these novellas whenever I got the chance, no rush because this type of storyline didn't really appeal to me, but being a junkie for Huss I started the first, didn't really like the characters, didn't connect, but you know when one of your favorite authors are spitting out books, you don't want to the one left in the Dark while everyone chats about it. So I started the second and I never stopped reading until I was completely caught up. This was nothing and everything I thought it was going to be. I probably make no sense to anyone but JA Huss fans right now. I'll come back to this in a minute.
The Story blew me away. I've said this too many times to count. Never underestimate JA Huss. I don't know what else I can say. The plot completely changed and the characters came to life, just what I expect but thought I wasn't going to get this round. Stupid Me. Tear jerking, Nail biting moments that had me on the edge of my seat.
I kept my emotions in check until the #EndOfBookShit
I lost it. I cried. Who does that while reading the EOBS? Well, if you are a true fan of this author then you probably felt the same way. I felt like she took the words right out of my mouth and the feelings right out of my soul. Crazy right? I know. It only solidified the reason I always read EVERYTHING JA Huss writes and I will continue to do so.

I have this on pre-order at Amazon ( GET IT NOW for only 99c; it goes up on release day on Wednesday!), but I'm also lucky enough to be one of the chosen few who get an ARC.
Does that mean I'm not reading my purchased copy on Wednesday? *scoffs* Yeah right. I'll be rereading the series up to now and then read Profile on Wednesday AGAIN!
The first book I read by JA Huss was Tragic and it was for a book tour with Xpresso Book Tours. I thought it was good, not necessarily my cup of tea, but good. And I was intrigued enough to want Manic. And then that opened a whole can of worms and I was dying for Panic...And then I wanted Slack, Taut, Bomb, Guns, you get the picture?
And this is how every single Huss series goes. Builds and builds and builds and WHAMMO! And JA Huss talks about it in this book's EOBS. (If you've read her novels, you know what that is ;) )
Yeah, I disliked Vaughn in book one. I found him loathsome. Hell, I still didn't care for him all that much in book two. But he grows on you like a fungus and then you suddenly realize there's more to this guy that meets the eye. And you're dying to know about Grace's story and background and how it will affect these two. JA Huss knows how to weave a story. Threads go over and under until a perfect tapestry is there. You have to be patient, you have to anticipate, and you get anything BUT a simple wham bam thank you ma'am story.
Well, we're here. We're at her past. We're here for her present. And now we just do not know how all this schiesse is going to affect Vaughn & Grace's future.
Guaranteed happily ever after? Nothing is ever guaranteed and I'm waiting for the whammy that has to be coming before we get resolution.

What started out as a fun, erotic yet problematic romance has taken so many twists and turns. It's become a suspense, a mystery, a tragedy, a horror. Still a romance but that takes a back seat in Profile.
Profile is about survival. In more than one way. Indicative to how Huss titles her books. Profile is very fitting for this one.
This book CREEPED ME THE FUCK OUT. Seriously. It's my favorite so far in the series, as I stated above right when I finished it. Which says something, Social Media is a very sexy series. But there is no sex here. That's not really spoilery so back the fuck off, please.
There is however, one hell of a fucking story. The Grace I loved in the first couple of volumes is back full force in Profile. She is such a fighter and I could not adore her more.
I can also say that I am finally on board with Vaughn. It has taken me five books to get here but, I'm here. I love Vaughn Asher. He's grown, he's learned, he's become the caring guy I wanted him to be. He is finally bigger than a sexy shell of a heartless human.
I'm still crazy curious as to wear JA "Cyborg" Huss is taking us in the final edition though. I have a feeling I'm going to need to hang on tight!

The main reason for my lower star rating is because this was verrrry short and rather selfishly I feel Books 5 & 6 could have been grouped together for a nonstop, action-packed and terrifying conclusion. These are just my own personal feelings, though, and the trouble I have with assigning a full rating to an incomplete story, especially the penultimate episode.
There's not much I can say about Profile that doesn't spoiler it in some way. What I can say, however, is that this was my favorite book in the series. There was so much strength and emotional content and the female characters absolutely ROCKED this round! Team Felicity and Team Grace all the way!
There have been so many surprises along the way. I've gone through moments of disliking both Vaughn and Grace. Their relationship has, at times, felt so forced. Are Vaughn's feelings for Grace heightened simply because she resists when no one else does? Does Grace resist Vaughn because of his sexual inclinations or because he's kind of...NO, because he IS a a dick, at first? What really made me fall in love with the series is how the story built up and up in layers with each subsequent episode.
While typing this out, I keep rethinking my star rating, but I remain comfortable with it for now. I reserve the right to revisit it at a later date, though.

After THAT ending of Status, yeah that one, I was dying to read Profile.
It. Did. Not. Disappoint.
It was biting your nails, heart-in-your-throat suspenseful. J.A. is amazing at creating suspense in her stories. Once the ARC showed up on my kindle, I literally dove in and did not stop until the last page.
Vaughn and Grace have come so far in this series. I loved how strong Grace is and how Vaughn has evolved from being a total #dick to being exactly what Grace needs. He's still Vaughn but ... different. If you told me in Follow that he could be the way he is now, or that we'd see him that way, I'd have laughed.
I cannot wait to see how this series is going to end. I'm sad that it's going to be over but I know the ending is going to be epic. J.A. Huss never disappoints.

So.... All I can say right now is WOW! Profile had me reeling. I was so on the edge of my seat with this one, biting my nails, cussing at my kindle, you name it! Every range of emotion with this novella happened.
In Status JA left us with one hell of a cliff hanger, an I mean a doozy! JA has been taking us on this ride with these characters and telling their stories. Status told us a lot about Grace's past and what she dealt with in it, and in Profile her past comes back to haunt her. It's brutal and sick.
My attention was completely gripped with this one. I did not stop until I was finished! One sitting. I was gasping in horror, my heart was totally breaking for Grace. Grace was so strong though, she did not disappoint! She was fighting to live!
Vaughn meanwhile kicks it into overdrive in this installment. Vaughn was the biggest asshole when the series first started and now he just takes the cake! He takes my breath away with the love he has for Grace! He will stop at nothing to make sure she is safe.
I'm so ready for HOME I'm dying!! This series is one of the best series ever that I have read by far. JA has a way of reeling you in with her story and then holding you there begging for more! Profile is a shocker which kept me glued on my iPad from page 1 til the very last page. I. Could. Not. Put. This. Down. Fast paced, intense, suspenseful, gripping ... captivating.
I knew Grace had secrets but it was more than that. She had a horrific past which was catching up with her... and fast. I loved how determined, focused and strong she was. A true heroine in every sense.
This is the shortest of all the novellas but it did not feel that way. I was too busy biting my nails and hyperventilating to notice.
Vaughn and Grace's relationship is put to a true test here. Only the strongest survive and they sure did! The ending was such a relief though I have a feeling they'd be subjected to much more before their much needed and deserved HEA. Please J.A. Huss, let it be extraordinary. Let it be epic!

Wow, wow, wow... I just can't believe all the things that has happened to Grace and V. Can a couple get a break... I guess Home will be that. Awesome story maybe too short but whew it does pack a punch!
