Forever Friends is a paranormal/fantasy romance.
Skye met the man of her dreams literally. Raine has been with her for lifetimes but their love is always cut short. Raine recognizes who Skye is and tries to coax her into remembering. They are being hunted by the king of vampires, Alec. Alec lost his love centuries ago and his life has been consumed by revenge. Raine was supposed to protect his love but she died so he blamed him and vowed to make him feel the same as he does. The Gods have other plans and it soon unfolds, nothing is as it seems and things change over the times. Alec meets Morgan, Skye's best friend. He plans to use her to get to Skye but he starts to feel something for her that he hasn't for centuries. Will it be enough to stop his vengeance? Raine and Skye have to come together and plan to keep evil from destroying their lives again. Both couples find something worth fighting for but is it enough to stop evil?
A beautiful good vs evil story. Soul mates spanned over lifetimes to be with each other again. I enjoyed this story. I thought the concept was wonderful and unique. It wasn't just a vampire or werewolf novel it was so much more. It mixed three supernatural races witches, vampires and werewolves. The characters were real and I was pulled into each of their stories. My favorite was Alec. I sympathized with him and saw the torment he went through.
The only problem I had was that sometimes the story flowed too well especially towards the end. There were a couple parts that I didn't find believable but I still enjoyed the story.
I recommend this to paranormal romance fans looking for a beautiful love story.
I rate this 4.5 fangs.

I was given a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. Skye has always felt a little off like something was missing from her life. She has no idea just how right she is until she meets Raine. Though she is apprehensive about him at first Riane is determined to get her on his side since he knows that they are meant to be together and have always been for many lifetimes. Raine also knows that they only have a short amount of time before Alec the head of the Vlad Vampire Clan comes to destroy them once again. Morgan is Skye’s best friend and she is dealing with some pretty heavy things as well. Not trusting her instincts regarding a certain man led her to be bitten and diagnosed with a rare disease. Hoping to make the most of what she assumes will be the little life she has left she meets Alec and starts to experience feelings she has never had before. Alec for his part only wants to get close to Morgan so that he can destroy Skye and Raine once and for all. However the longer he spends time in Morgan’s company the more feeling awaken in him that he has not felt for centuries. This is a wonderful book full of many supernatural elements. Witches, werewolves, shape shifters, gypsies and even demons. Will a centenaries old feud and a perceived wrong be the end of humanity as we now it? Will the war that is waged between the supernatural world ever end? Will Riane loose Skye forever this time? Will a promise made by a dying woman finally come to fruition and save them all? I Can’t wait to read part to in what is sure to be a great series.

It had been a while since I had read a book in the PNR genre, but I enjoyed it!
It took me a while to get into the story as the beginning goes into Alec's reasons for his revenge but when the story gets going it's a fast paced tale of good versus evil.
Skye and Raine are soul mates who find each other again in each life. She has not met him in this life and when she sees him there is a sense of familiarity without knowing where she saw him. The next night, she dreams of their different lives, but also of their deaths at the hand of Alec.
Morgan, her friend, runs into Alec when she is alone. After her previous relationship was abusive, where she was bitten on the neck, she is more careful with men but Alec feels good.
In the end, the 4 are somehow entangled in the choices that must be made to save the world. Alec as one of the oldest living vampires, Morgan as a new werewolf and the incarnation of Alec's deceased wife, Raine and Skye as witches with a lot of magic. With the help of the wizard Zhang, they must ensure that the gate to the underworld remains closed. Keme, the man who bit Morgan and turned her into a werewolf tries to prevent this by killing Alec so that Morgan will come back to him .....
A good story with different characters coming out well. The story ends in an HEA but also with the expectation of more to come. The world created before your eyes became intense enough to make you want to read other books!
Highly recommended for PNR enthusiasts.

Why are the chapters so long? More importantly, why is the Prologue so long? As I understand it, Prologue chapters are meant to function as short introductions to the history behind the story. But this felt like a whole novella itself.
I don't understand the tangents within the chapters either, such as the one about Lilith's history with Adam and Eve or the points about meeting Raine and how special he is to Skye. Isn't this all common knowledge based on the synopsis on the back and a general understanding of theology? Couldn't it have been woven into the story itself? Why spend two pages word-vomiting it out when there's a whole other scene going on at the moment? So confusing.
I can't understand the world-building. Is it urban paranormal? High fantasy? A totally unique past history of the current earth? Are the characters immortal or mortal? What even is the goal here? I genuinely have no idea.
Because of these things, I had to DNF it. I'm sure someone will like the novel and understand it better than me, but this is just my personal opinions and experience.

This story was so good!! I love me a good paranormal romance with varied supernatural beings. As an author, I decided to stick to shifters because I can't do a story like this lol but Amanda does it really well. This story follows the lovers Raine and Skye who are the DEFINITION of fated mates, they've been together for lifetimes. Their love is threatened by the king of vampires (Alec), who blames Raine for her death so he vows to destroy them. But when Alec meets and plans to use Morgan, Skye's best friend, to destroy the fated mates, he certainly did not expect to have feelings resurface that have been buried for centuries. So with this story, you get 2 lovers and a whole bunch of paranormal beings. What could be better!

I purchased this book because of the amazing reviews on Amazon and oh boy, they were all right. This book is fantastic, the story is so beautiful and full of emotions, I couldn't put this down until I ended. The characters are so real and so well written that you can easily find yourself or a friend reflected on them, you start to love and care for them. Amazing book!!! can´t wait to read more from Amanda Kimberley.
I happily endorse this novel to any and all who are looking for a romance enjoyable read and a completely different experience than anyone could imagine on their own. Here's a novel that's creative, unique, and deeply moving, combining artistry in the telling of this story with drama and emotion in a tale you won't ever forget. I highly recommend this book

Can love ever be extinguished? Does it fade when we lose our loved ones or are the just waiting to be born again to explore that love once more? For Raine he always remembers the love he shares with Skye, she takes longer to remember, but that could be due to the fact Alec is still chasing them for revenge, can they survive this time or is this battle going to be the last? A great mix of paranormal and past lifetimes come to a head in this story!.

Wow! Where to even begin!?! LOVED this book. The characters are very well developed: Alec, Morgan, Skye, Raine, Zhan, etc. I couldn't stop reading. I had to finish the book. There are climaxes throughout the book. Will Alec ever get his revenge? Can Raine protect his love? I was constantly on my toes. Whose side is Zhan on? And, can Skye and Morgan remain friends throughout the whole ordeal?

This entertaining Book 1 in The Forever Book Series has a steamy shifter romance with amazing characters. This well written story has characters who are well-crafted with unique personalities and intriguing histories. This has a good story with intense scenes that keep you entertained throughout the entire book. This is a short, steamy, shifter romance that has adventure, werewolves and war between clans.

The first book in the Forever Series. This is Skye and Raine and Alec the King of the Vlad Vampire Clan and Morgan who he turned story. The story is well written with twists, turns, angst, suspense and romance for two couples. I enjoyed reading this story and want to read more in the series.

i really wanted to like this book. But i found it hard to get into. There was so much explanations of how things got to where they were that it kind of lost me.
I'm sure others will find this book to be too their liking, but it just wasn't one that held my attention.

I loved this story! It definitely wasn't what I expected, but I enjoyed it from beginning to end. I'm looking forward to more stories like this from Amanda Kimberley.
