While I enjoyed time traveling through the main character Summer, this one was my least favorite in the series. I did not feel the connection to the other 2 books in this one.
I could only give the final book in the trilogy a 2.5. In the first two books Summer is looking for relatives or people to help her with all the questions she had about her family. But not in this one! I just had a hard time buying it. Still it tied up the loose ends in both the 19th century and the 21st.
If you haven't read the first two books in the series this one will be hard to follow. Though the plot is a little stretched out, it flows well and has a clean ending. I would recommend this novel to anyone who enjoys history and mystery! This digital version has many, many grammatical and spelling errors.
Enjoyed this very much! Great paranormal romance storyline and fantastic characters. According to the ending I was wondering if the will be any more to this series. Kinda left an unfinished ending!!! Loved the series! Always love ghosts and history together! Especially the Civil War era!
I would give 4 stars for the story - there were a few parts that felt annoyingly repetitive but overall I liked the plot and characters. I thought for sure Fonteneau would be related to someone in the present day but maybe in the next installment he'll be explored more. I felt there was definitely more to his background and we never did find out why there was that one-off dress in the wardrobe. I would give 2 stars for the editing - there were a lot of missing words, spelling mistakes and grammatical errors. Hence the 3 stars above. Overall I like the Tanglewood Plantation series.
Such a great ending to an original series regarding time travel. This time travel, unlike other forms of time travel in other books, seems to be loosely connected to psychic abilities and is recognized by women of Hoodoo/Voodoo in Civil war era New Orleans. However its done, it is a way for a woman to research her ancestors. Very entertaining series. I was not ready for it to end!!!
Wonderful story. Great writing. I would highly recommend this book. The entire story was fascinating. A great mixture of history, time travel, and adventure.
Wonderful story. Great writing. I would highly recommend this book. The author did a great job combining history, time travel, and adventure.
I loved this fast-paced trilogy....never wanting it to end. It was not what I expected but much better. I hope to read more of Me Miller's books as she writes them.
I enjoyed this book series, I would highly recommend it. I rated this 3 stars because I was not as connected to these new characters, but read you will enjoy.
