Much like Chicken Soup For The Soul, this book is filled with feel-good, bite-sized stories about people down on their luck, facing financial disaster—or worse—until a credit union comes to the rescue and saves the day.
No matter how bad things get—and as you’ll see, they can get really bad—there is always hope when you have someone in your corner you can count on and who cares… about you.
This book is about credit unions, and so much more. It’s about people helping people and an approach to life and business that encourages us to think about what we can give instead of what we can get. It’s not just the credit union way, it’s the right way
As a bonus, you’ll learn about business and money and how to create fiercely loyal customers who will stick with you for the long haul.
I am a huge fan of the library and can clearly remember making the short walk to get books during the summer months. Does that make me a nerd? Clearly, but who cares. My love of books (at a young age) led me to become an author (at an older age). In 2020 I reached a major milestone, 25 books written and published.
This book reminded me of the credit union version of Chicken Noodle Soup for the Soul. Having been a part of the credit union movement for 34 years, I've heard and seen stories like these. Honestly they are why I've worked for credit unions for so long. We make a difference. We help people in all kinds of ways. We se people beyond the numbers. I gave a copy to everyone on my team, so we can talk more about the passion behind what we do. Looking forward to the conversation.
Has me considering writing some stories to share! Definitely advocating for my CU to tell more of our own stories of how we are serving our memberships and creating memorable moments in their lives.
