Do you like the idea of personal empowerment? This collection of twelve short stories tell of people - mostly women, but some men - who are at the midpoint of their lives. They're starting to realize something is off, something they have the power to change. In Middle-Aged Crazy, we explore that rich and vibrant second half of life. From grandmothering to driving a big rig to deep-sea fishing, my characters (all over age 45 and a few of them men) demonstrate how they have chosen to navigate this new world. Scroll up and buy to join the adventure today.
In this collection of twelve stories and six essays, Lynne M. Spreen explores what it means to understand who you we might become after fifty.
Lynne M. Spreen writes later-in-life romance and women’s fiction that celebrates reinvention, resilience, and the rich complexity of a woman’s second act. Her debut novel, Dakota Blues, won a literary award and launched a new chapter in her life--she's up to twelve books and counting. After waiting half her life to pursue her dream of writing, she brings hard-earned insight to every story she tells.
Lynne lives in Southern California with her husband, where she balances the demands of the author life with line dancing, gardening, and the occasional round of zombie video games with her grandkids. When not writing, she’s most likely reading, researching, or quietly cheering for anyone brave enough to begin again.
After reading books for years it was a nice change to read a book of short stories. I have read other books written by Lynne Spreen and have enjoyed them all. Also, As a senior citizen, I enjoyed her books about older adults.
