Between A Rock and A Hard Place

Rate this book
She’s a rock goddess.
He’s a sex pistol.

I need them both, in my life and in my bed, and I’m not living without either one of them.

I’ll do whatever it takes, even if it costs me everything I’ve ever wanted.

I’m Tommy Blade, The Prince of Punk Rock, and this is the continuation of our story.

When Jessi Blade is forced to miss the first leg of Immortal Angel’s world tour, Tommy Blade and Angel Garcia are alone together for the first time. Their romance flourishes and brings them closer together, but time apart puts a strain on Tommy and Jessi’s marriage. The demanding schedule of a world tour, pressure from the record label and a wife who feels neglected, leaves Tommy under a blanket of anxiety. He’s helpless as his perfect life slowly falls to pieces.

When Jessi finally catches up to Tommy and Angel four weeks into their world tour, she begins to feel like an outsider. She’s not about to take a back seat to Angel and competes for Tommy’s attention. Tired of the rivalry, she begins to wonder if they’d be happier without her.

Angel Garcia is trying to hold their relationship together, but Jessi’s animosity and Tommy’s nervous tension is a heavy load to carry. Before long, it becomes clear that their life and the band are doomed unless they work out their differences.

Warning: This book is for mature audiences only.

WOW... A truly unique series. Between A Rock and A Hard Place is the second book in the Radical Rock Star Series. This story picks up where The Prince of Punk Rock left off.

The Immortal Angels are leaving on the first part of the tour. Jessi must stay behind she has school to finish, graduation coming up, and a business about to open. This giving Tommy and Angel 30 day alone together, their relationship grows stronger and they bond on a whole new level. The men are spending more time together, Jessi is spending more time alone and this leaves her feeling insecure in her relationship and fighting for Tommy's attention.

This has been a fantastic read.. Great story line, well written, full of emotion, its a fast passed read and let me just say some extremely erotic sex scenes. Now with that being said I am hoping that there will be another book or novella maybe on this dynamic trio. The story was awesome, but to me the end just didn't feel like the end.

I can't wait to start Damien and Alyssa’s story.. I already have a soft spot for them..

After reading book 1 in the series, I had to jump into the next book. I fell hard for Tommy, Angel, and Jessi and needed more of them asap! I’m already missing them again and it’s gonna be agonizing in the wait for more!

Tommy….You could look at it like he has the best of both worlds and is greedy. Yes he is fortunate enough to have two people who are willing to love him and share him BUT can you imagine how hard it is to keep two people happy at the same time? He loves them both and can’t live without either and they both feel the same about him. He has his hands full trying to balance out the relationship he has with his wife and Angel to keep everyone happy and loved. He is torn between the two at times and has to stay neutral. He is proud of the success of the band and his wife for pursuing her dreams in the fashion world. When he had to leave her behind at the beginning of the tour, he shattered his heart.

Jessi….She has long accepted her husband’s bisexual nature. Instead of trying to change that in him, she nurtures that side of him. She loves Angel just as much as Tommy does and as much as she loves Tommy. However, the time that Tommy and Angel had alone in the first part of their world tour, has her feeling jealous and insecure. She has to wonder if they would be happier without her. Meeting Jessi in book 1, I knew she was a fighter and that’s what she does. She is not about to just walk away from her husband willingly. I am happy and proud that after helping Tommy reach his goals, that she took the time to make her own personal dreams come true!

Angel…I take back any negative thoughts I ever had in his direction. I loved him before but had my reservations about him. In this book, I fell head over heels in love with Angel. In book 1, it seemed that he did love Jessi but she was more of a product of his love for Tommy. He knew he had to have one to have the other. It was a package deal. While he missed Jessi tremendously when the band left for their world tour, the time alone with Tommy helped in many ways. One, he got the time alone with Tommy to solidify their bond. Two, it helped him realize just how much he really loved Jessi. Distance does make the heart grow fonder.

My heart broke many times for all three of them, together and individually. The hot and steamy….Jenna Galicki owes me some battery money. Just saying! The book was well written and easily held my attention. The characters…you feel their strife, pain, angst, love, and joy. I can’t wait for more from Jenna Galicki!

"I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads."

This is the second in the series, and you really should read book 1 first - partly as it will make more sense of the story, but also because it is an awesome read!

What a fantastic sequel - it starts up just as we left the trio, with them poised to take the world by storm. But things start to go off the rails as Jessi, in an attempt to further her own career too, has to let the guys go away alone. Once again, the author gets us right under the skin of these characters and lets us feel the pain, the insecurities, the pleasure and the passion. It is emotional stuff, and drags one in desperate to know how on earth such a situation can be resolved. It is mesmorising, unputdownable and exhausting - but SO worth it. The mix of little touches and broad brushes make these two books really memorable. I will be thinking them over for a long while to come, and they have been added to my reread pile, near the very top. A present to myself on my next long journey, or quiet weekend. Stunning.

Go, get reading these books - far better use of time than reading my review!

ps there is promise of a third book; this time concentrating on Damien, another band member, in Spring 2015. Great news!

WHOA! Yup.....I want an Angel, Tommy, and Jessie. lol. I loved the first book, like really loved it, but this one explored more of the relationship and I LOVED IT. Even the trials, I'm sure any 3some relationship would have. The love scenes were plentiful, which for this gal was just perfect. I honest feeling is that it would be like that in a real relationship so the sex scenes were needed. Or maybe I just think that way because if I had them I'd be doing it all the time too LMAO. :)
Anyways back to the review, we see the tour where Angel and Tommy go on without Jessi. And we know there is going to be some rollercoaster of emotions, and I really felt them with the characters. I found myself being jealous with Jessie, did in the first as well. It's the girl in me can't help it lol. But you could really see the attraction and affection the boys have for each other as they explored themselves while gone.
I really really loved this book....I love this series! I want more and more. so Jenna just has to write more and more until I tell her stop. <3
I'll be pimping this book, series, to anyone looking for a good 3some story, but it's more than that, it's a great over all story about diversity. Love is love even if it comes in threes. <3 Well, done my friend. You've opened my mind. Now, I need to talk to my hubby about getting an Angel or Tommy. ;) think he'll go for it?????

Watch as Immortal Angel gets ready to ROCK Europe and Asia!!
Meanwhile Jessi decides to finish her schooling, and start to achieve her dreams (yay, Jessi).
I loved reading about Angel and Tommy, and their developing relationship...unfortunately, I find myself siding with Jessi. I feel slighted for her, I am jealous, and nervous.
I will say, I felt like there was a TON of sex scenes-but the story didn't suffer due to it - it just ignited the passion!
I liked Jessi, Tommy, and Angel in the last book - this book made me fall in love with each of them (for different reasons).
Together, they can achieve anything and will beat all the odds.
I really, REALLY enjoyed this story. I liked reading about the issues they faced as a threesome, and I loved the way they dealt with each and every issue.
The only complaint I have is: I want to hear Immortal Angel's album!

Between A Rock and A Hard Place is book 2 in the Radical Rock Stars Series. I highly recommend reading Prince of Punk first, you will enjoy #2 much more.

We pick up right where #1 left you. Immortal Angel has gone platinum which equals a world tour. Tommy Blade, Jessi Blade, and Angel Garcia are in a poly relationship and it works. Jessi decides to follow her dreams and stay behind for school, which means Angel and Tommy will be without her.

Their was so much emotion in this one, I was on roller coaster ride throughout the book. I have to say Ms. Galicki changed my opinion of Jessi between these two books. I was truly rooting for her. It was such an enjoyable read. Very hot and sexy! If you haven't started this series yet, you must or you are totally missing out!

Review by Lisa Kane

I liked the first one in this series enough to keep going. I had problems with Angel and his over the top feelings for Tommy and I felt like the two of them pushed Jessi to the side more than a few times. The same thing happened in this one-only Jessi developed her own story line and delved all her passion into her fashion business.

It was great to see her take back some of her control and not simply be a handle on a frying pan. She has always been so supportive of Tommy but put his dreams before hers. In this story, she takes a good hard look at her life and goes after what she wants. I honestly think that makes Tommy realize he has a woman willing to accept his sexuality in a way that few women would and maybe he can appreciate her all the better now??

I liked this one a little more than the first, Jessi finally voices her own displeasure and insecurities with Tommy and Angel. It's about time she stood up for herself.

I began reading this book without reading the first book but though I think it would have been nice to read them in the right order I didn't really feel like I was missing much.. And I really enjoyed it from the start because it is a very well written story about these 3 people who love each other a great deal and though it is a different kind of relationship you can't help but love them together and understand and feel their struggles and their love :)

Thanks to Wicked Reads for a free book to read and review. Definitely having some m/m/f fun in this book. I really enjoyed this after starting off with the Punk Prince book, and this book is not a stand alone. The relationship parameters in this book defined the boundaries of the insecurities a ménage might have. I found it to be highly entertaining and loved the erotic scenes it contained. I especially loved Angel in this book and how he closed some of the gaps between himself and Jessi. Tommy seemed to become a little more defiant in this book and not just a middleman.....no pun intended. Crazy writing and reading at its best...I loved it. Five stars.

After reading the 1st book in this series, I was looking forward to reading more of Tommy, Jessi & Angel's story. Jessi starts to feel jealous of Angel after not being able to go on the Asia part of the tour. You get to see how it all plays out & how they end up stronger on the other side. This book also deals with Jessi's parents & their disapproval of her lifestyle. As a mother of a gay son, I thought how Jenna shows how the parents deal with their feelings & make amends. Life is too short to let things get between yourself & your child.

It took me a little more time to get into this one, I found some part where i just wanted to scream at them and say what are you thinking, There were a few ups and down but nothing that really stood out and made me feel like wow that blew me away, I would say to read this if you have read book 1 just so you can see where they leave things, I do hope there might be a small novella as i really want to see if they got there wish. I'm looking forward to reading Damien and Alyssa's story.

I just finished the book and did not want it to end. The love between Jessi, Angel and Tommy brought me to tears more then once. The story kept me on the edge of my seat and I wanted these three people to find the happiness they deserve. The sex scenes were intense and hot. **oh yes!** Miss Galicki has helped me escape this drab life and dream of a world with out limits and one where dreams can come true. Thank you fro sharing your talent.

Jenna Galicki made me cry!!

Ok, now that I've put down the Kleenex, I can write this review. I said it when I read the first book, and I'll say it again... Jessi+Tommy+Angel= PERFECTION!!! I ADORE this trio. I love the dynamic amongst them, even in the turmoil. There were so many times where the emotion of the story had me sitting here with tears in my eyes, whether they were happy or sad. It was just that GREAT of a read!
Another 5-STAR read!!!

Intense

Great job by the author. This is very tough subject to talk about and what a great job she did writing about it. I laughed and cried sometimes at the same time. I feel for Jessi the most. She had a husband and a life and then the love of her life wanted to bring another person into there marriage. I have to say I would have felt like I wasn’t enough for him and would have left him and Angel to have a life together. But she is stronger than that she figured it out. Lots of struggles came with the work but they finally got there HEA.

Fantastic Follow-up to The Prince of Punk Rock. This book picks up right were The Prince of Punk Rock ends. Immortal Angel has been booked for a world tour that will now commence sooner than was originally believed because the record company has added an Asian portion to the tour. This book was excellent. Jenna Galicki did it again!! There were no slow moments in this book. This book kicks it into high gear from page 1. While Tommy and Angel head to Asia for the first half of the Immortal Angel World Tour Jessi stays behind to finish school and to open her brand new business. However, during the time that Tommy and Angel are on tour in Asia, their connection to each other becomes more solidified and Jessi begins to feel left out, causing the old green-eyed monster (jealousy) to rear its ugly head. And it is here, that Jenna Galicki lets her true talent as a writer shine. She was able to convey all of the emotions that each individual character was feeling so brilliantly, and to convey the fact that if you are in a relationship, esp. one as complicated as these three are in, communication is key!! Sheer Brilliance!!!

Despite it seeming as though Tommy has everything, since he has both Jessi and Angel, he felt as though he was in the middle once things started to go awry with Jessi and Angel, and didn't want to be seen as taking anyone's side. Trying to find the right balance was difficult for him, and trying to express to each of his loves that he loved them equally without alienating either one was a tough balancing act that he had to figure out how to negotiate.

I have to say that my heart truly broke for Angel in this book. Angel is such a kind, considerate and compassionate individual, who never once sort to break up Tommy and Jessi's marriage, but who was at the center of every single nasty comment and snarl that Jessi could launch his way. Angel realized during the Asian portion of the Immortal Angel World Tour just how much Jessi meant to him, separate and apart from Tommy. He realized he loved her too, just not in the same way that he loved Tommy, but more than as a friend. Angel was in this relationship where was the third, not Jessi. Tommy and Jessi have all the history together. Angel did not know truly know if Tommy loved him as much as he loved Jessi, because Tommy never expressed his feelings towards him, although Angel was always giving and expressing his feelings towards Tommy, as well as Jessi. Angel never once tried to take Tommy from Jessi, and the insinuations by Jessi that he was doing that truly hurt Angel to his core. With the way Jessi was treating him and based on a particular decision that Tommy makes, all I have to say is thank goodness that Angel is the kind, sensitive and patient person that he is.

I know that I am in the minority here, but this book made me not like Jessi, and I hate saying it, because I loved her so much in the first book. In the first book, she was truly amazing to me, but in this book, I found Jessi to be mean and selfish, and her jealousy towards Angel was over the top and unwarranted. It upset me that Jessi had to be involved in every single aspect of what happened between Tommy and Angel, not just in the bedroom, but in their professional lives as well, and if she was not then it was a problem, but it was alright for her and Tommy to have their time together without Angel. I did not like all of the trying to one up Angel, because it was no longer a game just for the fun of it, it was her trying to prove to Angel that Tommy loved her more than he loved Angel, and that Angel was not really needed in their lives. Umm...I understand that Jessi fell in love with Angel, too, but honestly, Angel is gay, so why is it truly a problem that he would not respond to her romantically??!! That really upset me, because as far I could see Angel was giving to her way more than I thought any gay man would give to a woman in the bedroom, and Jessi went into the relationship knowing Angel is gay. Jessi was the one who gave her approval for Angel to enter her marriage with Tommy, and then when she couldn't handle it she made Angel feel like he was doing something that he was not doing. It felt as though everything became about making Jessi feel secure at all cost, even if it jeopardized the band and Tommy's relationship with Angel. I never once got the feeling that Angel was trying to take Tommy from her, so there was no reason for her to show him that she would fight to keep her husband. And even when she did, he still did not disrespect her or try to ruin her and Tommy's marriage. However, I did love that Jessi finally decided to finish school and start her own business, because she truly had sacrificed a lot for Tommy. So I cheer her for that, because I love to see when a woman is strong and independent, and in this book, Jessie learned to become that.

I must say that it is the fact that Jenna Galickli was able to wring such strong feelings and emotions out of me that I loved this book so much. I loved the angst and the passion that ran through this book. Great job, Jenna Galicki, and I cannot wait for Volume 3 in the Radical Rock Stars series. Damien and Alyssa deserve to have their story told. I truly hope that Jimmy will get his story told as well. Keep on writing these stories because you are a magnificent storyteller. Thank you for sharing Immortal Angel with us readers.

I just finished BETWEEN A ROCK AND A HARD PLACE – book #2 of Jenna Galicki’s Radical Rock Stars series – and am as blown away as I was after reading book one. The relationship of Jessi, Tommy and Angel is unconventional, refreshing, one-of-a-kind, maybe a bit scandalous – and it is of an incredible rare deep and genuine love that literally seeps off the pages!

What an amazing sequel to the series! It starts directly where book one left off – therefore book one should be read first.
Tommy’s and Angel’s now famous and successful punk rock band Immortal Angel is about to start their first world tour – unfortunately Jessi needs to stay behind during the first leg in Asia to finish her college degree and open up her very own fashion store. She is excited about pursuing her own career, yet she is devastated that Tommy and Angel are about to leave without her. Where will that leave her in their already complicated relationship?

This concern is not unwarranted, as being apart as well as their newfound fame and the responsibilities that come along with it take their toll on their relationship. Jessi starts to wonder if the two men wouldn’t be happier without her in her life…

What did I love about the book?
• Jessi!!! I cannot remember ever reading a book written in more than one perspective where I couldn’t wait for the female’s point of view. I’d always preferred the perspective of the man. Here there is not one but two men to choose from – and still I found myself anxiously awaiting it to be Jessi’s turn again! I truly admire her. Her strength, her unselfishness, her utter devotion to Tommy… She does everything to make the man she loves happy, even if that means she has to share him with another man. When she fell for Angel just as much, my heart broke for her at Angel’s inability to return it in the exact same way. And then admiration took hold of me again when she found a way to balance, to cope with her love for him. I was right there with her when she doubted her part in their relationship and felt her pain. I could go on and on with my praise – let’s just say I was on a constant verge of admiration and heartbreak when it came to Jessi.
• Tommy – for being able to balance his love equally between two people. He just knew when he needed to stay out of an issue between Angel and Jessi in order not to appear to take a side. Also, for his unadulterated and pure love for both of them – he would quit the band if that was what it took to save their relationship!
• And… Angel. He is the perfect addition to the Blade’s marriage. He is generous, overly caring and kind. He made it very clear from the beginning that it is not his intention to destroy their marriage. Although he cannot reciprocate the physical love Jessi has for him, they match and complete each other perfectly on every other level. And Tommy and him… whew! I need a fan, please!!
• The hotness! The passion! The sizzle! The tension! Oh my, the steaminess of this book is simply off the charts! The one-on-one scenes between Tommy and Angel or Tommy and Jessi alone are incredible, but the three of them together – with or without additional toys – add to a sexual charged explosion that is unbelievable! Be sure to have your change panties within reach!!
• Their unconventional yet working relationship and the portrait of the characters. The characters have depth, they have a soul. While reading you have the impression you know them personally. The same goes for their relationship: It seems out of the norm and you might question that such a constellation could ever work, yet you believe – you feel their bond. They have to deal with real relationship issues: Separation and jealousy, and they also realize that even a secured relationship is work and cannot be taken for granted, that honesty and communication are the alpha and omega of a solid relationship.
• The music! Jenna Galicki gives a real insight into the music industry: The responsibility, demands and pressure that come with fame and what happens if you get swallowed up in it. I also loved the vivid and colorful descriptions of Immortal Angel’s concerts – they made me feel like I was right there with them, front row! It makes me wish the band Immortal Angel really existed!

BETWEEN A ROCK AND A HARD PLACE – a wonderful emotional rock star romance of a unique not-so-common type of a relationship that feels real and confirms that true love knows no boundaries!
It is a book I will keep close to my heart and securely placed on my bookshelf (yes, I am talking about a paperback!).

I’m looking forward to the bassist Damien and Alyssa’s story!
The whole series comes with a high recommendation! Pick it up today!!

PS: I love the accuracy of the cover!!!

Oh Boy do I have another Goody for you Today and I do Mean It's a Goody!! HOT-STEAMY-SEXY-FULL OF ACTION!!! HOT OFF THE PRESS -- By JENNA GALICKI. I received an ARC of this book from the author in exchange for my honest opinion. And this my friends is MY HONEST OPINION!!!! This is the 2nd book in the series of the Prince of Rock. And Ms Galicki has done it again. But before I tell you some about the story -let me tell you about Tommy Blade his wife Jessi- and the other member of their family Angel. The three of them make up a family. They characters are described in detail- depth-each one has a soul. You can picture them together, and you can picture each of the characters of the book. As for the scenes of this story. Man-let me tell Ms Galicki sure has out done herself, When the guys are on the beach together in Hong Kong you can actually see them there.
Now let me tell some about the story. As it starts Jessi is finishing up her college classes so she can graduate. She is also getting ready to open her own store. Tommy comes home and informs her that the band has just been book for a tour in Hong Kong and they leave in 2 weeks, She says that she can't go. He says that she better be ready as she is gonna be on that plane. Jessi explains that she is finishing up her final classes and is almost ready to open her store there is no way that she can be ready on 2 weeks. The guys will have to leave without her and she will catch up with them in Europe. Finally Tommy and Angel agree with her. They have a tearful good-bye at the airport. On the 20 hr trip over Angel tells Tommy that this is there time together, They never had a honeymoon-and this is it. While they are there the 2 guys grow closer together. The first night -rather the first morning before the sunrises they go to the beach together to watch the sun come up. When they get to the water they slip out of their briefs and run into the freezing water. When they come out they wrap together in a blanket. Make mad passion love right there on the beach. While back at home Jessi is having to live thru the photo's that are take of the guys together. There was a picture of them going down to beach, have a intimate dinner together , (Angel was feeding Tommy) the guys with there are around each others shoulders as they are walking together. She is waiting to get phones from them-she misses Tommy and Angel(but Tommy the most-they have never been apart) It is the eve before her graduation and Tommy calls her - she is on cloud nine.. She doesn't realize that both of them are at home when they call. They surprise her stating that they wouldn't miss her graduation for nothing. The next day is not on,y her graduation but her grand opening. Jessie receives her degree and then the trio is off to the store for the opening. The men are shocked !! They never imagined that the store would be so hot and even filled with the Immortal Angel apparel and souvenirs. Her designs are totally awesome!! The next day the three fly out for Europe and the tour. On the plane Jessie suggest that they have a quickie in the bathroom. However it turns out to be an half hour and they are loud. When they get to there destination they are met by Audra who informed them they almost lost there contract with the label if it hadn't been for her. Everyone aboard the plane complained about Tommy. They have one strike against them. Now they have a new road manager- and they were gonna have to behave. Angus comes in and Tommy states that he is not going to cut his hair. Angus ignores the comment and tells them that while they are on this tour they will produce an album no if's an oo buts - they have studio time already scheduled for the album and they are not to miss it. Now this is where the starts to get really hot. As Jessie starts to feel left out. She also has problems back at her shop. Will everything work out between the three of them? What happens to her store?? This story is so hot and it was just released by Ms Galicki that you have to have it today!! With everything that happens in the book. I give this book a rating of 30 out of 5 stars!!! Because of the sexual scenes in the book- I recommend that this book is for adults.Don't miss the next installment of the Prince of Rock -the 3rd book- following Damien and Alyssa. It is so STEAMY!!!! NOW WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR GO GET THIS NOW ON AMAZON!!!

As we get the next glimpses into the stardom of Immortal Angel and the lives of Tommy, Jessi and Angel. Things are not always as they seem. Feelings and desires are hard to hide. And in the end is love enough? There were parts in this story that had tears in my eyes and my heart hurting for Jessi and Tommy.

Immortal Angel is on a world tour. Emotions are flying high for the band members. This is their moment of fame. They have made it. Jessi has always been in their corner from day one but when she decides to put her own life first things may change for her and the relationship she has with her men Tommy and Angel.

Jessi loves her husband Tommy and Angel also as her gay husband but she knows that what she wants is more of needing to prove to herself that she can make it. She put her life on hold to help pursue Tommy’s dream of being a famous rocker. Now that that as happening it is time for Jessi to make her dreams come true.

Tommy and Angel are on their own on this part of the tour. They are able to form a bond on a more personal level with Jessi not being there. They are able to share firsts. As their time being a couple comes to an end and Jessi comes back to join the tour, the close knit bond that the guys have formed is noticeable by Jessi. She feels as though she is losing Tommy. But she decides not to go down without fighting for him.

Tommy knows something is not right between the threesome. He is determined to stay out of it and let Jessi and Angel work it out so that he does not look like he is choosing sides. But when he has to pick between Jessi and his music career what will he do? Can he turn his back on Angel? Will Jessi step aside to allow Tommy to be truly happy with Angel? Is Angel the one that can put them back together again?

This book picks up where we are left not long after The Prince of Punk Rock leaves us. Jessi, Tommy, and Angel are happy together and Immortal Angel is finding high levels of success and are heading out on a world tour. Jessi is finishing her degree and is about to launch her career as a designer with her own boutique. After she needs to miss the first leg of the tour while she finishes school, she starts to feel left out of the relationship while Tommy and Angel are getting closer. When she rejoins the tour it is clear that they will need to find a way to work through these feelings or their delicately balanced relationship will not work.

One of the things I really like about this series is that the author doesn't shy away from the realities of the variety of emotional complications that go along with a relationship of this dynamic. Many books that deal with polyamorous relationships often fail to acknowledge that jealousy and resentment are likely to occur at times. There are plenty of challenges thrown at these three despite their genuine love and affection for one another. Tommy and Angel are struggling with a new manager who is demanding more than is reasonable from the band. Jessi is struggling with feeling lonely and dealing with the stress of working for the band while trying to manage her own new career and business. The sexual chemistry remains hot between the three of them. It was exciting to see the relationship between Jessi and Angel deepen although it remains complex as ever. I have enjoyed reading this series, and I will gladly read more by this author in the future.

Jenna Galicki has done it again! I really enjoyed this book and could not put it down!

I was really surprised that there was a second book to this series because the first book did not have a

cliffhanger ending. Don’t get me wrong I was excited to find out that I could read more about Tommy,

Jessi, Angel, and Immortal Angel.

I was not disappointed with this book. I enjoyed the well written storyline and the well-developed

characters that make the story believable. You feel that you are part of the story. The amazing

emotional rollercoaster ride that Jenna takes you on will have you wanting to turn the pages faster.

This book picks up where book one left off and you immediately are pulled back into the amazingly hot

and passionate relationship between Tommy, Jessi, and Angel. You experience all the up and downs that

Immoral Angel experiences when they become famous and what effects this fame has on everyone’s

relationships.

I am still a big fan of Jessi Blade in this book too. She is more independent and stronger in this book. She

has a few weak moments, by quickly pulls herself up and shows us that she is the strong character that

we have fallen in love with since the beginning.

I recommended this book to all readers. If you love an amazing rocker book that you will have you

hooked from the beginning and riding an emotional rollercoaster that will have you feeling every

emotion there is to feel then you will enjoy this book.

There is a book three coming out next year about Damien and Alyssa. Keep an eye for it because I know I

will be waiting for this book.

Between a Rock and a Hard Place picks up right where The Prince of Punk Rock left off. You need to read that first to catch the true dynamic of Jessi, Tommy and Angel.
I will say it again…I love Jessi. Not only is she dealing with being the wife of a rock star, she is dealing with being the wife of a rock star that cannot be there on tour with him. A tour he is on with his lover. Her heart was shredded thinking she did not have a place in her marriage anymore. While dealing with this she somehow still graduated from fashion school and opened a business. She is the one who is the “rock star”. I just love her and her ability to juggle tasks and her men!
Tommy. I love the evolution his character has taken. You can tell now that he is comfortable with his true self that he is happier for it. He has a heart of gold and I loved seeing him try to figure out how to share his love and make everyone feel his love equally without being in the middle.
Angel. I still love his relationship with Jessi. You can feel their struggle for Tommy, making for some hot scenes. The competition of them trying to “top” each other was entertaining. I loved it. Being a sore loser myself I found some humor in a very serious situation because I could see myself fighting for my man if I was in Jessi’s shoes.
I adore where the three of them are going in the future and I hope we get to touch on that again in future books. I want to see how they progress as a unit.
I see we get to peek in to Damien and Alyssa. I just know those two can get their freak on and I CANNOT wait to read all about it!

WOAH....HOT....

What talent it takes to balance the emotions, especially one as complicated as love, between three very passionate individuals! You literally felt just as conflicted and confused as Jessi, Tommy and Angel all went through doubts about where their relationship was heading and where each stood in their arrangement.

I do, however, must bring up one point that had me very conflicted. Those who know me know that in real life I am a sex consultant/educator as well as an adult novelty distributer. So I know my sex and toys *wink* With that being said it takes talent to describe such steamy scenes in detail to be sure angles are possible and realistic. Although fiction there was one thing in this book I had an issue with; SOAP. PLEASE DO NOT USE SOAP under any circumstance as a lubricant both in intercourse as well as masturbation. Soap is not chemically made for such sensitive areas and can lead to dryness, itching, bacterial/yeast infections, in the anus it acts as a laxative and has chemicals that are not safe/PH balanced for our delicate areas.

SO MOVING ON....

I decided not to lower my rating just due to that because honestly the book was incredibly written, the character were endearing and compassionate and Jenna, not only can write an incredible sex scene, she has the BEST descriptive concert and performance scenes I have ever read. You feel pulled into the act when the Immortal Angels play. Like you have front row seats and can hear the music.

Like I said it takes talent to write a book of this magnitude and she is incredible! I can not wait for the next one!

Angel and Tommy are off for the Asia leg of their world tour. Jessi cannot join them, as she has a business to get off the ground and finish her degree. So they leave Jessi behind and enjoy their together time. BOTH Angel and Tommy miss Jessi, which Angel is very surprised about. When Jessi joins them in Europe, things are very different. Jessi feels left out. When she has to return home to sort of the fledgling business, Angel and Tommy have a decision to make: their career, or their relationship that is the three of them.

You really do need to read book one, The Prince of Punk Rock, before you read this one, this is a continuation of that story.

I enjoyed this, I really did but to me, there was something missing that stopped me enjoying it as much as book one. I'm stumped if I can figure out what though!

All three have their say, and they are clear in their emotions for each other. Angel is surprised how much he misses Jessi, and Jessi, Angel. Tommy can feel the tension between them. They do sort it out, but it does take some time.

Damien shows himself a little more here, and I loved that he opened up to Jessi just when she needed it. I have Damien and Alyssa's story to read next, so I'll be able to get into his mind. He is a deep one!

I love that Angel, Tommy and Jessi's relationship grows, as it does in book one, and it evolves more, the dynamics change, but in a good way! And I love the conversation Jessi and Angel have and approach Tommy with it, not the other way round.

I'm sorry I can't word what's missing, really I am. It does frustrate me when I cannot say what I need to, properly.
