I had no idea what to expect with this book, but I certainly didn't expect to like it as much as I did.
The male character, Demi is a liar and serial cheater. Kennedy loved him with all she had, ignoring the fact that he was living with, and eventually married his girlfriend. In addition, having other women and babies. The author told the story in such a way, that I was caught up in the emotions of each character.
I really enjoyed it and is excited about the sequel.
Kennedy was really naive. To keep losing one guy to the same woman and believing he would eventually be all hers was unrealistic. Love is truly blind. She let herself be the side chick for years, being loyal, staying in her lane and giving her all. Even after he got married. If she ever did have him to herself, could she trust him? I felt bad for her because she truly loved Demi with all she had. When she finally sees the light, what will become of their relationship? I guess I'll never know. I thought this was a stand alone per the synopsis, yet the ending indicates there's a part 2. I don't think so - this book was released 4 years ago and there's no part 2 yet. Disappointed.
Where do I begin? This book pulled you into the love between Demi and Kennedy. You start out loving the sexual magnetism they have then, something goes terribly wrong and you begin to understand the truth, Kennedy is a side piece. Although their relationship is not right, while reading the book, you find yourself rooting for them, then rooting for her to finally find the love she so desperately wants. You ride the wave of their relationship and, just when you think she has it together, all hell breaks loose and a life decision is thrown in to the mix. You're sure this time it will all work out and then, more and more drama. This book made you feel for the main character Kennedy to get her life together and before you ends, you want to slap some sense into her more than a few times. In the end, Demi's world all falls down and Kennedy seems to finally be making the right choice. This book definitely leaves you hungering for part two and curious to find out how their lives play out. THis is a must read.
Ok the book was cool but guess what???? This book was put out almost a year ago and still no part two. This is the reason I hate reading series because some of the writers don't finish it out. U get all into the book then go look for the next one and it not even out after 8 months. So with that being said I probably won't read any more books by this Author unless it's a standalone.
This book keeps you interested until the very end. I enjoyed the characters. Kennedy was happy being the side chick with hopes of being the main chick. Demetrius was an arrogant man who wanted every woman for himself. Valique is Kennedy's best friend who claims to have it all together but not so much in the end. I recommend this book because it is realistic.
This book was a good & interesting read. Storyline was good although there were times when I wanted to choke Kennedy for the awful choices she made when it came to Demi. Even though this was a work of fiction, the story was as real as it gets & a book that I recommend.
This book was good to read. Demi was a ladies man that was really for himself. Poor Kennedy she was already destroyed at a young age by family that's why she endured so much hurt.
