July is on her first date—ever. Leave it to her to sit down at the wrong table. With the wrong man. As soon as she realizes her error, she should get up and leave, right? Thing is, she can't seem to move once she locks eyes with Theo, a soldier fighting demons that chased him from a POW camp overseas, all the way back to Chicago. The only person who seems to quiet those hostile memories in his mind...is her. But what she does to his body? It's the opposite of quiet.
Jessa when I need some unhinged romance that just cracks me up. I pick your books up. We have Theo who is dealing with crowds PTSD until walks in July who thought he was her date and she's trying something new. he isn't but he isn't letting her get away. He's OTT and tells her how things are going to go but dang he does make a mess of himself when he busts a nut in his pants when July looks at him. Yes LOOKS!!
It's crack between them July is a little more reserved but she does things with Theo. They go from 0 to 100. She helps him with his problems and he with hers. It's a funny story.

JK delivers AGAIN with her hilariously delicious OTT Daddy fics!
"Baby wants to walk into the office smelling like that jealous boyfriend dick?"
Theo(former POV with severe PTSD) is trying to adjust to civilian life and things aren't going so well for him. He's attempting to sit at a cafe and have a cup of coffee, but the sounds and people are proving to be too much, until....... July(virgin, marketing) sits down at the table belonging to her blind date only to discover she's got the wrong guy.
Red Flag Warning or Green Means Go! Hell yes bring on those spontaneous orgasms!!! Theo has just met the only person in the world who can bring him some peace, and quiet his demons. Our boy does some light stalking, possessiveness begins, orgasms just popping off all over the place. It's seriously delicious fun.
And we get 3 - yes THREE - rides on the pony!!! Like hell yes!!!
If you haven't read JK before, just know she's not for everyone. Her fics are fun and sexy and heavy on the Daddy.
Side Note: I appreciated and was sad about Theo's PTSD dreams. I literally dated a guy and that happened to us when we were sleeping. He woke up thinking we were in the war and this was literally an exact copy of what happened, except without the sex.
Some things can not be romanticized! I'll judge every person who can romanticize public ejaculation!
MMC is a soldier who has severe PTSD. He's trying to get back to normal by going to coffee shops and stuff. He suddenly feels like suffocating and he intends to leave the coffee shop but a mousy shy girl sits in front of him thinking that he's her blind date. MMC gets hard for the first time in five years and tells her that looking at her will make him come right then and there under the table of a public coffee shop and he proceeds to do just that!!!!
She gets super turned on by it and the rest of the story is about how they are unhealthily freakishly obsessed with each other.
Ticking the square of a book about an MMC who served the military.
I had such high hops for this one because I loved all the previous books from this series but unfortunately I really didn’t liked it…
I struggled so much to finish it and now that I have , I think it would have been better to dnf it. I mean don’t get me wrong I like the setting and I can see what the author wanted to do here, but for me it wasn’t really done well.
My oh my. The man literally came in his pants with a look. As I was trying to picture the whole scene up, I'd got to say, it didn't come off as hopelessly romantic as I thought. Man, I was creeped out.
... really creeped out.
sigh. I miss Hefty. Now, that's hopelessly romantic JK heroes.
LOL the MMC really couldn’t control himself, and so much “spontaneity” in this book 🤣. Although it wasn’t my favourite Jessa Kane book, as the PTSD was kind of a mood killer (for me, anyway), I still gobbled it up.
Review of Praise Me: Soldier by Jessa Kane * * * * * A delicious obsession growning between two struggling people and blossoming into something powerful and addictive.
Theo was a soldier suffering from the pain of his past, hallucinations of his torture and the horrors he endured take over his life. The world around him was normal, but suffocating...until July. July was a reserved young woman, shy and apprehensive in her actions. She has always felt like the odd one out, and the thought of any man finding her attractive bewilds her. Especially Theo. He's blunt and straight to the point. He does not hesitate to tell her what she does to him. As the world and people around them affect their struggles and self doubts, it takes a newfound strength together to get Theo to open up to help and for July to gain confidence. Not to forget...A LOT OF EPIC HOT NAUGHTINESS! Bed. Floor. Door. Work! Get inspired.
Thank. You. Jessa. Kane. Needed this! It's like this author has a sixth sense on what to release her books because they come at a time when I need a huge does of obsessive and possessive taboo awesomeness that just makes my day. Big broody blunt soldier that is just a God at dirty talk = check! Shy young virgin that evolves into a sassy confident s*x kitty = check! Nosy people who get told to shove it where the sun don't shine = check! Lots of amazing steaminess that will have you addicted to anything that comes from Jessa Kane's books = triple orgasmic check!!
This one has all my favourites like touch starved and comes on command hero with filthy daddy dirty talk which I loved but on the other hand, the hero also broke a guy's nose just for almost being on a blind date with the heroine. Like the blind date guy didn't even see her! Shouldn't be so hung up on that detail when the hero deflowers the heroine in a PTSD infused nightmare thinking they're on a battlefield but he couldn't help himself and banged her anyway.
I liked how accurately this book reflected the struggles of military PTSD and how July & Theo met. I loved Theo’s obsession with July (got to love a possessive and obsessed MMC). July also had good character development as her confidence grew within the book. I’m just not a huge fan of the whole “daddy” thing and some of the book could have been written better in my opinion but it was still a good, short & spicy read.
All the stars!! I love a man who's completely obsessed. Theo's life changed for the better the moment he met July. He wanted to better himself and make sure she was safe with him. I loved it! Give him a try! You won't regret it 😉
Just felt like she was coerced into being in a relationship with him. A lot of emotional manipulation and felt abusive at times from him but also the people she works with. I felt uncomfortable at times.

Llevaba unos meses sin leer algo de Jessa Kane y este libro es simplemente volver a la obsesión que tenía el año pasado por leer todos los libros que haya escrito. Obviamente voy a retomar ese reto, ya solo me faltan 36 jajaja
I absolutely love Jess’s Kane. Her character development is on point and the spice is chef’s kiss! You really get the sense of how the characters feel about each other - lifting each other up while fighting their own demons. Great novella, highly recommend!
